Today I visted his office, his lady manager asked me if I wanted to wait a while to see Dr Frank today. YES ! Dr Frank examined my left ear and pulled out a small hearing aid foam end tip ! He flushed both infected ears, wrote a script, and sent me happily away This ear doctor is an amazingly simple, but effective healer !

After 42 years of sinus issues and breathing problems, I'd nearly given up. Over the years, I saw a…read morebunch of ENTs around NYC, some with great reputations, and kept getting the same answer: "You're breathing fine with the medications." Meanwhile, I had drawers full of sprays and pills that barely made a difference. It wasn't until I had major surgery with Dr. Scaccia about 7 weeks ago (the surgery lasted almost 5 hours) that I realized just how badly I'd been breathing all my life. I found Dr. Scaccia after deciding to look outside the city for help. A few things stood out right away: his office has parking, he has his own complete surgical suite right in the building, and he's clearly someone who's made a name for himself in the ENT world. His waiting room is filled with plaques, research publications, awards, and even TV and magazine features. At first, I wasn't sure what to make of all that, but now that I've gone through surgery and recovery with him, I get it. I can say with full confidence: He is the real deal. From the very first visit, it was clear I wasn't just another case. Dr. Scaccia has a fast mind and a direct way of speaking. At first, it can feel like he's talking over you, almost like his brain is already a few steps ahead. But once you realize how deeply knowledgeable he is, it all makes sense. He took the time to look inside my nose and connect what I was saying to what he saw, and right away he had a clear sense of the problem. By the second appointment, we were going over a detailed surgical plan, and I remember him saying he was genuinely excited for the case. That stuck with me. It showed how invested he is in what he does, getting real results for his patients. On the day of surgery, which took place in the same office where I'd had all my consults, Dr. Scaccia didn't just straighten my septum, he basically REBUILT MY WHOLE NASAL AIRWAY. He discovered my septum was too thin and weak, so he grafted it on the spot to reinforce it. He reduced my turbinates, cleared out scar tissue from years of infections that I didn't even know were blocking my sinuses, and he did a few more things that were explained and went over my head medically, but clearly weren't over his. What really blew me away was that after everything he did, there was no pain at all. Seriously, not even once. This was multi-level airway reconstruction. There was discomfort, sure, but not pain. Maybe that's due to his technique and high precision, or maybe I got lucky, but I think it's worth pointing out. Since then, I've been back for weekly post-op care, and every week I notice another level of improvement. I never realized how much energy I was spending just trying to get enough air through partially blocked passages. Now, I'm breathing in ways I never thought I could. It's practically effortless. It's been life-changing. His staff is also incredible. They're friendly, organized, and really on top of everything. They called me between appointments to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. They had all the paperwork ready when I woke up from surgery, and they walked me through every question I had afterward. The whole operation runs like a well oiled machine. Every time I go, the office is calm and never overcrowded. I found out he only does one surgery per day, which honestly explains a lot. He's not rushing between patients or juggling five procedures. If it's your surgery day, he's focused on you and you only. Whether it's that approach or just the fact that more people haven't discovered him yet, I feel incredibly lucky I found his place when I did. If you've been struggling with chronic sinus or nasal issues, I can't recommend Dr. Scaccia enough. For me, it's the first time in my life that I feel like I can really breathe. That alone is worth everything.

Not to mention, I waited just about an hour to see the doctor. I was scheduled for a full body scan and my appointment was treated as an inconvenience (low priority). As a matter of fact, I heard the Doctor from outside the exam room say that he was going to "pass off" the appointment to the NP because it's "only a body scan". I guess he realized that wasn't the right thing to do because he ended up following the NP into the room anyway. I showed him a few spots that I noticed at home and wanted him to take a closer look at- he insisted "there's nothing there" and kept saying "I don't see anything" but then finally admitted to noticing some discoloration and deemed it sun damage. I also brought attention to a rash I was getting on my shoulder. I told him I had a photo that I took on the day it was most prominent and he looked at the photo and waved his hands around saying, "oh that's nothing to worry about. It's water being trapped under the sunscreen". The appointment would've been better off had he not came into the room, in my opinion. Horrible bedside manner. Very rushed and short. Ordered a script for me for my acne on my face..... I know there are other dermatologists out there that are far more attentive and kind and I intend to seek them out before ever thinking of coming to this office again.
