Just "graduated" from close to 9 months of physical therapy after a surgery. Went for treatment…read moreevery week, sometimes twice a week, from being immobile (after surgery) to now fully mobile with excellent range of motion, and knowledge of how to maintain the health of the muscles and bones, with correct exercise. It took some time but it is all worthwhile because it is for my health. Everyone in the office, from administrative staff to the therapists, was very friendly and helpful. All the therapists were knowledgeable and very patient. The massage that they did was crucial and helpful as part of the healing journey. I had experience in a couple of other places before I came to B&C, and B&C has been the best & would wholeheartedly recommend this facility.

The clinic has a small gym upfront with treatment tables in the back. Super convenient location in Alhambra with a 4-hr free parking garage. B&C PT is extremely popular and books out weeks in advance. I had to wait ~3-4 weeks for my initial appt, and had to book all my subsequent appts following my first visit to secure dates/times. I work primarily with Ching Ly (the C of B&C lol) and he's super down to earth. He did a comprehensive exam of my neck, measured my neck movements with a goniometer, and confirmed if it was a joint or muscle issue. I've seen several PTs, but no one was as thorough as Ching in trying to figure out the root cause. My treatment plan is pretty straightforward - Managing neck pain with manual therapy, at-home workouts, and then more workouts to strengthen neck, shoulder, and back muscles. If I had to nitpick then it would be the super tedious process of booking upcoming appointments with the front desk receptionist. Nothing PT related. Highly recommend B&C PT! I hope to be free of this annoying pain by the end of my sessions.

Finding a healthcare professional who truly changes your quality of life is rare, but D. Jeffrey Su…read morehas done exactly that. My partner initially sought his help to address a painful shoulder muscle tear, especially since he hadn't been exercising or going to the gym for a while. From the first appointment, it was clear that Dr. Su is both very patient and incredibly knowledgeable about the human body. He doesn't just focus on a quick fix; instead, he takes the time to help you understand exactly how to avoid and prevent future injuries. Dr. Su helped my partner define his long-term goals so that he's not just feeling better today, but fully prepared for his older years. They focused heavily on building back a solid foundation through correct posture and strengthening my partner's core. Dr. Su spent significant time correcting his basic movements to ensure he's exercising and lifting properly. Thanks to his guidance, my partner's been able to build his muscle back and feel confident returning to a regular fitness routine. He's now motivated to continue his exercises consistently, which is a huge win for his overall health. This is especially important now that my partner's in his 50's, as his priority is staying mobile to enjoy life and travel in the future. Dr. Su is exceptionally professional and consistently pleasant to work with throughout every session. His holistic approach to recovery and longevity is truly impressive and sets Dr. Su apart from others in his field. I cannot thank him enough for his dedication to his patients' recovery and long-term well being. We definitely recommend Dr. Su and his outstanding services to anyone looking for top-tier care!

I was referred to Dr. Jeffery Su by my partner, who found him via Yelp. I decided to go with Dr. Su…read moreafter researching all of my physical therapist options through my health insurance and found that they all had terrible Yelp reviews. The reason my partner liked Dr. Su was because he actually tries to help you without roping you into seeing him multiple times just to get money out of you, which I found to be very true - he was able to fix me in just 3 sessions. Paying the $165 per session out of pocket (still FSA/HSA eligible though), was well worth the money in my opinion because I was desperate to get better from my pickleball injury and get back to playing ASAP. Before coming to Dr. Su, I was trying to diagnose myself with ChatGPT and was following their prescribed regimen to heal myself. I wish I had gone to Dr. Su earlier because he was able to diagnose my issue in the first session and give me actionable strengthening exercises (he posts all the assigned exercises, with instructional videos, on the PtEverywhere App) to provide me with some immediate relief from the pain. Dr. Su said that I had strained my (sacrotuberous) ligament, which ChatGPT said would take 4-6 weeks to heal. After religiously doing my strengthening exercises for 4 weeks, I found that my pain was low enough to where Dr. Su approved my slow return to Pickleball and Aerial Silks (he's incredibly responsive via text). I found that as I would play, the same right side was continuing to give me trouble. So I went back to see him a 2nd time. At this session he was able to diagnose that my right hip was super tight and was impeding my recovery - he wasn't able to discover that during the first session because I was in so much pain that he was only focused on fixing that first. He used a strap to pull on my right hip to gain some mobility back, but it barely moved. The next couple of days I was incredibly sore but continued to religiously complete my newly assigned strengthening exercises along with foam rolling (if he forgets to posts the exercises on the app, just text him and he'll post them right away). Whatever he did to me, worked because by the 3rd day, my pain was gone! That along with the foam rolling was probably exactly what I needed too because I was able to easily move into my right front split without the tightness I had been experiencing for years! My follow-up appointment was a week and a half later with Dr. Su and I had no pain to report to him. He tested my right hip again and was able to finally get the head of my right femur to actually "bounce"/move normally during this 3rd session. He taught me some lifetime maintenance and strengthening exercises for my overall health and longevity for playing pickleball, which he posted on the app. He also sent me some links to adjustable home weights to help me save space in my apartment. I generally have trouble sticking to self-guided workouts but Dr. Su simplified them to just 25 minutes of exercises, twice a week. Hey - if that's all I need to keep playing pickleball without injury for the rest of my life, I'm sold. Sign me up!

At 11:35a.m., I was finally called for my evaluation. About twenty minutes later, after a brief assessment, I was told simply to "come back when it doesn't hurt." By 11:55a.m., I was back out the door--just in time for their lunch break. In the waiting room, I noticed a tipping chart encouraging patients to calculate gratuities based on the total insurance payment, not just their co‑pay. That struck me as inappropriate for a medical setting. I came seeking relief, but left with no improvement and deep disappointment. The visit felt like a waste of time and money, and the experience left me questioning their professionalism and priorities.

I looked at numerous Yelp reviews before I made an appointment for this location…read more I completely understand why there were numerous 5 star reviews. Everyone at this location is very friendly and courteous. I love that I didn't have to wait that long at all for a physical therapist. I was disappointed that my therapists didn't wipe down the location that I would be lying on, and yet my husband's therapist wiped his location. Since I have an obsessive compulsive disorder, that made me uncomfortable. The type of therapy you receive is dependent upon the therapist. There are therapists who talked to me in regards to how I should or shouldn't do something. Then there was a therapist that basically made me feel like she wasn't happy working there. After that incident, I decided to just purchase my own TENS machine and gel ice packs. I would just do the exercises at home. The first and second visit here was a 5 star experience, but the third time here made me realize that I could do most of the exercises at home.
