This place is a joke. I had to wait for a long while, at least 40 minutes past my scheduled time. When the doctor finally came into the room, he asked what he can help me with. I explained things to him and he quickly thought he knew what my concerns were. He taught me one exercise only and it wasn't even really related to my issue. He said go get a resistant band at Big 5, go to the gym, practice this exercise and good luck. Even You Tube videos on arm mobility offer way more exercises and feedback that this guy. I took my 13yr old daughter to this office recently and Dr. Huang was extremely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable so we left. During our visit I explained that she injured herself during PE and now has low back pain.. he goes on to say her posture and the way she sits is the reason why her back is hurting. Then out of nowhere he asks her "Do you have a boyfriend?" And I am taken by surprise and I answer "No she does not?" Then he explains to her if she sits up right and more toward the edge of the chair (basically more proper) that MEN WILL LIKE HER and that's how she'll remember to sit like that... immediately I laughed out of nervousness and shock because I could not believe that he said that. I don't know if he was trying to be funny but it was extremely inappropriate, offensive, and creepy. After that I wanted to leave I had such an uneasy feeling...so when he walked out of the room I explained to my daughter that I didn't like this Dr or how he was explaining things to us and the weird comments he just made. I didn't want him near her after that point. We ended up walking out not even 15 mins in to the apt. I did not want to schedule another apt or continue any further stretches or conversation especially that he had to touch my daughter while doing stretches. I wouldn't recommend this place especially for young girls or women...the dr is extremely unprofessional and has HORRIBLE bedside manner... you should not speak to your patients this way it's wrong. I work in the medical field in pediatrics with children and as a healthcare professional you should know what's appropriate and what's not but he shouldn't make those comments to anyone at all...this was a horrifying experience and highly disrespectful and weird to say the least. Would not recommend this place although I spoke with the manager Grace I know nothing will be done... but we will not be returning here after all that...so I wanted to put this on here to warn women/young girls. The staff here seems to be in a hurry. The physical therapist seems to not care about their patients. I was an outpatient rehab aide also during my working days, so I have a background in the medical field and I work with amazing PT. For my evaluation, this guy asked me what kind of surgery was performed and had me do some basic exercises and that was it. He'll make me do exercises and he'll see other patients. So I said to myself, this guy sux. I don't think I will ever go back here. I thought I was going to be treated with respect since I am very aware that this place has an Asian community. I know because I used to work at Garfield Medical Center. You can search me up by my name and you will find who's the PT that did my evaluation. " For her information I did not go back to Wellness for years till I heard good things about new PT Marcus Wu. He is professional, knowledgeable, creative, and enthusiastic. He is young and care about his patient. PT Wei Huang has professional diseases and it is time for him to retire. 5/22/2024 *Receptionist Amy failed to keep her promise to call me for the appoints, the manager Grace emailed me as follow, "Keeping up with appointments is patient's responsibility. When you made the scheduled appointments, you made a commitment to show up at the agreed-upon time. " I did not see any notice that this office do not call or write patients for appointment. *I followed rules wrote reviews according to fact, but the manager Grace did not follow rules to respond or defend but accused me as follow, "However, the decision to publicly disparage our practice without giving us the opportunity to address your concerns directly is counterproductive and undermines the trust and mutual respect that are essential in the therapeutic relationship." PT Wei Huang left me in treating room for personal phone call over 30 minutes, is it respect and trust? The rudeness and repeatedly failed to keep promises of receptionist, is it respect and trust? I did expressed that my shoulder pain did not improve after many treatments from PT Wei Huang but he did not care at all. Manager Grace did not improve the services after bad reviews but blamed reviewers. 5/16/2024 Front desk Amy refused to call to remind me appointment a day ahead till one time I forgot the appointment. From then on she did not say hi or good morning when I went, she just put sign in sheet in front of me and let me walk in treating room myself. When I left she just said Tuesday, I have to ask her Tuesday what time. She did not say thank you or see you next time. I do not know why she is so grouchy and rude? This took me a while to post because it is very personal, and I had a lot of emotional, physical, and more forms but one of the massage therapist sexually abused me in April 2021. I have been coming here approximately since October 2020, and I did not realize I was sexually groomed until the moment of the sexual abuse. Since clinics should be a place of healing, I put a lot of undeserved trust into this place and the people who work here. I have falsely believed certain inappropriate touches were treatments to get better. The doctor did not do anything to make it right. He just in a sounded shocked and embarrassed when I confronted the situation. He dismissed the matter and suggested to see the other employee. My schedule is slammed due to full time school every day except Sunday, and I did not have the time to file a police report also due to my healing from this traumatic experience, but I have called my insurance company that has filed a case. I hope this abuse in practice and traumatic malpractice does not happen to another individual. read more

Had wrist pain for over a month where I was out of commission from physical activities for several weeks. For an active person, it felt twice as long. I was unable to lift at my normal level and even lighter weights led to an annoying wrist pain. After two visits to the primary physician, I requested to visit a chiropractor. However, physical therapy was recommended for my situation. When I first stepped in, the place looked a bit old. There were a few exercise equipment lined up. Peering across the reception desk into one of the rooms, it felt like an Asian hospital. I was hoping it would not be another Asian PT that just puts you on the electro machine. Yes, I was skeptical. After 4 visits, my wrist improved substantially. Actually, it is almost gone completely. I went back to the gym after the first visit and was able to lift at my regular level again. After the second visit, I was able to max out without pain. PT examines you for a few minutes to diagnose the problem. Soon after another person drops in and provides you with a massage to loosen up the problematic area. Next, they put you on the electro machine. PT may comes back to show exercises or consultation as needed. (Dr. Huang) PT pin pointed my wrist pain to my upper chest, upper back, and forearm, which were very tense and stiff. This whole time I thought it was mainly the forearm. PT placed pressure in different parts of my arm up to the chest and back to figure out the root cause of the pain. He performed stretches in different positions that provided relief. It was not the most comfortable feeling, but whatever it takes to get my wrist back to normal. After utilizing the stretches, I am consistently back in the gym. I felt like it was a bit rushed with the PT in the beginning and very short. I thought I would be spending the whole 1/2 hour with PT, but it was only for a few minutes each time. One of the masseuse that comes in mentioned he was a doctor for 20 years in China. He gave good massages. A bit hard to communicate if you do not speak Chinese. I did not mind the electro machine since PT was able to diagnose and explain the issue clearly. Those stretches really helped. read more

I have being going to this place for over 3 years on and off, when I first started was because a sciatic problem that after going to several different places didn't help. But Dr. Huang help me all the way, I am very very happy. I was lucky to have Mimi work on me from day one and even tho she hardly speech or understand English, she knew exactly where the problem was "SHE IS AMAZING!" I will recommend Dr. Huang and his stuff to a lot of people and so far nobody complained. As soon as I feel any discomfort I come and will continue coming. I want everybody who needs it to know how good they are. And the prices are excellent. Some people here have complained but I personally think that they are some problems that need to be corrected by surgery and in that case they need to understand that he is here to help with therapy not to operate on you. read more

My insurance have a copay every time I go to therapy. The copay is too expensive for what one session get to offer me. The therapy is 25 mins, and someone will massage you for 20 mins and then the doctor will come to "fix" your therapy needs for 5 mins. The massage is so useless, I don't feel any difference. What I need is real therapy to have the doctor to give me therapy for 25 mins. I have pain all over my body, the doctor only fix my right arm and my right leg. I cannot believe he left without doing my left arm and left leg. He said that's how you do it, get it, then he left. What's the point of me coming to you for therapy, if I can do it, then I don't need to pay you to do it. I would not recommend anyone to go there for therapy needs. The office staff is courteous, the massage therapists are great at performing deep tissue massage and target the area and muscles that give you your aches and pains. The massage therapists even ask you how you feel after their treatment. You learn to use muscles that help eliminate pain. These guys are amazing! Came here and was greeted with friendly people. The doctor speaks multiple different dialects including Taiwanese, Mandarin, and Canto. I was in a lot of pain from my ankle fracture so they focused on using different parts of my body to reach the afflicted area. After every session my ankle feels stronger and stronger. Further more, they gave me deep tissue massages to help loosen up all the knots developed from hobbling on crutches. They basically brought life back to my calf that I didn't use for over a month. These guys really know what they're doing and I would recommend this facility to anyone that needs physical therapy. read more

Very disappointed with this clinic as well. My mother goes here for treatment and the physical therapist was extremely rough and treated her with not only patronizing tone but very roughly. He grabbed her shirt and used it to pull her forward to try to bend her back when she was unsure how to do his recommended exercise. His actions were borderline harassment. This is unacceptable. The massage may be helpful since the insurance pays for it. (and if you're willing to wait for it)..but besides that I highly don't recommend. read more

Very disappointed with this clinic. I was a student of physical therapy when my dad had treatments here 3 years ago. I followed him to one of his treatments and all they offered were massage and e-stim from an aide who couldn't speak English. A physical therapist came to see him for 5 min after the treatment and he did not have much to say. I am now a Physical Therapist myself and can only say that this place does not offer 'physical therapy'. I hope this place improves to give patients the quality care they deserve! read more

Dr. Huang gave me treatment on my sprained ankle for a few weeks. He had me do new exercises with TRX bands that helped strengthen my ankle and legs. Definitely recommend for strength training physical therapy. read more

Umm I can only say that I won't go back because the wait is too long and everyone complain about the 1-2 hours wait but there's nothing the staff can do about it, obviously they overbook and tried to squeeze everyone into the appointment. I got massage for the first 20 min then dr came and kind of massage me for less than 5 min and he's gone. I don't even think my back pain is treated properly. Sigh what a waste of time I should have go to some foot massage place which I can order a whole body massage and treat my back. read more

Our family has been going to Wellness Physical Therapy Center for just over two years. My mother-in-law, age 93 and confined to a wheelchair, came to Dr. Huang for therapy on her arthritic legs. Over the course of a year she was able to stand on her own. My wife was plagued with a sore hip. Dr. Huang treated her with his acu-pressure message and after four treatments her pain disappeared. I threw my back out once and the pain was intense. Dr. Huang treated me four times and relieved the pain. Recently, I developed an intense pain in my shoulder and two treatments, back-to-back, restored me to civility. Dr. Huang and his staff know their business and do it well. read more

My Mom had been there for more than 10 sessions. They assigned her to one of their masseuses who gave her 20 minutes massage. Afterwords, the PT doctor spent about 3 minutes on her, and that was it. My Mom basically was getting a 20 minutes massage from a masseus with the same quality she can get from a locat massage place. What the PT did to my Mom was basically useless! However, he was making a great amount of money claiming from the insurance company. He never did much diagnosis but as we received the report from our insurance company, we often saw many claims from him for diagnosis. This is definitely a place to rip you off..... basically a place to provide medicore quality of massage but to have your insurance company pick up the bill!!! read more

I have a knee problem, a torn meniscus. Originally, I was sent to a different Physical therapy center by my work near downtown LA but after 7-8 months, I was not seeing much improvements, only temporary ones. I requested a 2nd opinion and a different Physical therapy location. The Insurance company found a place close to home and I've been going there since. I am so glad I changed. After only a few sessions with my new Physical Therapist Dr. Huang, I feel so much better and have seen much improvement. He knows how to diagnose the problem and teaches me ways to exercise with specific movements and have seen lasting improvements. I do these therapies daily a few times a day. I feel so much better and its not temporary like the other place, this one is lasting. I walk more normal, my knee is still not straight but with his help I feel hopeful. I was in pain before, I was limping daily with pain, could not go up/down stairs comfortably, had to take inflammation pills, etc. I did not want to take any meds and with his help, I don't even take any Advils or Motrin pills. With hard work on my part, I am on my way to recovery. I am really glad that my Insurance company found him for me as he has been a God send. The 2 massage therapists are good as well. I highly recommend this place. It is not your typical teachings but I know if I give the therapies a chance, I will be good as new. Thank you Dr. Huang for your help. I really appreciate it. read more
