I went to to Dr. Sullivan twice for my yearly pap smears. My last pap I felt like she was rushing. Anyways a month after that I found out I was pregnant (first pregnancy) I was about 5 weeks when I started to spot, I went called the office to notify my dr. about the spotting, the person I spoke to told me if I'm still spotting the next day to give them a call. I was indeed still spotting so I called the next day told them I called yesterday in regards to me spotting and they didnt have any records of me calling FIRST RED FLAG! They went ahead and scheduled me to get blood work drawn, I went got blood work done, never did I speak to Dr. Sullivan 2ND RED FLAG! I had to wait two days for my results and those two days I was filled with so much emotions. I got my results, this is my first pregnancy so I wasnt sure what my results were telling me. I called the office to ask if Dr. Sullivan could call me to go over my results with me, later on that day I receive a call from the front office and the person told me Dr. Sullivan said everything came out normal 3RD RED FLAG Dr. Sullivan didnt even take the time to speak with me and go over the results with me. Four day passes and I am still bleeding I called again to let my dr know what was going on and front office person scheduled me to go in again to get more blood work done, the phlebotomy tech couldnt find a vein and told me I had to come back and reschedule. At this point I was frustrated and wanted answers so I decide to go to the ER. I glad to say I am still currently pregnant and have found a new Dr. that actually cares for her patients! Dr. Sullivan made me feel as if my health and the well being of my child was not important! I would NEVER RECOMMED DR. SULLIVAN! Dr. Evans is the best OBGYN! I have gone to so many doctors. She is actually my fifth. I am so grateful i found her. None of the doctors know what to do with my adenomyosis, Dr. Evans fights for me. She gives great suggestions and options. Very gentle and careful in taking care of me. She is very knowledgeable and professional. Not like other doctors I have seen. She is passionate and deeply care about her patients. After everything we have tried, I decided to do hysterectomy and gladly did! She performed the surgery professionally and I am in quick recovery. Dr. Evans has been my OBGYN for the past 3 years and I always have a pleasant experience with her and the staff. She is very knowledgeable, answers all my questions and is good about remembering your personal information. I have not had any problems requesting an appointment here (they have late afternoon appointments to accommodate work schedules) and communication/results/paperwork can easily be done on their online portal. If you are a new patient or need to update information, doing your questionnaire online can save you time as opposed to filling out in the office. Not aware of any billing issues because my health insurance covers a majority of my visits/procedures. read more

First of all, I must say that my doctor Aungel L Evans is a wonderful doctor whom I was so happy and so delighted to find after going through so many OB/GYNs and not having good luck with them. Since I'm writing this poor review about this establishment, I won't be going back. My problem is the person whose name is "Norma" who is a check out person. I was there today for an appointment I made couple weeks ago. When I made the appointment, I asked the person who made the appointment about approximately how long is the turn around time as I have an important appointment right afterwards at nearby medical facility. I was told to be there by 0945(my appointment was 1000). She said that it wouldn't take long at all as I get to see the doctor right after the procedure. I wouldn't had made the appointment if otherwise. I got there right at 0945 and there was no one in the waiting area. As the time went by, there must had been 10 or more patients showed up and no sign of anyone coming out to call my name. This person who came in right after me got called to go in. It was 1010 at the time and my appointment was at 1000. At 1015, I notified the front desk clerk that I would have to reschedule as it was already way passed my appointment time and I had another appointment in town I must get to. She said fine and called "Norma" to let me in, so she could reschedule my appointment for another day. When Norma opened the door to let me in, she gave me a real dirty look like I owed her some money and she snapped, "GO STAND THERE!!!" pointing in front of her cubicle or whatever you want to call it, her station instead of "have a seat". She was very short and abrupt. Her voice was loud, so I told her there was no reason for her to be ugly and raise her voice. She raised her both hands in the air and yelled, "I DIDN'T MEAN TO OFFEND YOU!!" I got silent at the point. When I explained to her my situation(maybe, I didn't owe her any explanation), she snapped, "WELL, DIDN'T THEY TELL YOU THAT THIS PROCEDURE TAKES ABOUT 30 minutes????" and I said, "No, but my appointment was 1000 and now, it is 1015!" She then said, "WELL, MAYBE, SHE IS RUNNING LATE!! AND SHE MAY COME GET TO RIGHT NOW, BUT WHATEVER!". She proceeded to tell me that "WELL, I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NEXT WEEK, BUT I HAVE JANUARY THE 10TH BLAH BLAH BLAH..". Now, I use capital letters, because this lady was raising her voice. I already told her once that there was no need for her to raise her voice. I wasn't mean or rude to her at all. At the point, I didn't want to deal with this person any longer, I've had enough of her mouth and ill treatment, so I told her, "You know what? It's ok. I will call back next year. Thank you". She said, "But I can make one right now!" I said No and walked out. I was very upset and couldn't believe what just happened. I don't know why Norma treated me the way she did. One thing I could say is that she was short, abrupt, rude, condescending and loud. The way she looked at me with disgust, it was a dead giveaway I don't want to come here anymore and deal with this person. I did not deserve to be treated like this and for that reason, I will never go back to this facility. I'm at square one for searching for another OB/GYN in Plano, TX and I know I will eventually find a good doctor and good front desk staff. I'm finding out that those are very hard to find in this town. read more

Dr. Hartley is great! She's professional and on top of any lab work or paper work! She's been very honest, straight forward and cautious about any information she gives me or anything that she prescribes. The staff is organized and on top of their paperwork and I never have any problems getting an appointment (and I'm usually scheduling them a week before if not week of). Dr. Hartley's MA Lindsey is also really polite and always on top of my paperwork. I'm usually horrible at consistently seeing a PCP, but they keep me coming back! read more

Dr. Evans and the whole office is amazing! We came from OK from a terrible OBGYN and this was our first pregnancy. With this facility, we never had issues with billing, paperwork, or treatment from any of the staff. Everyone there is very caring and wonderful! I want to add that my wife was having pain one night and Dr Evans always told us to call day or night with questions and we were able to get ahold of her at 1030 pm at night on a Friday! That made us feel very taken care of by our doctor. read more

Nothing can be more disappointed to visit this place. This morning, I called the healthcare office to make an appointment. The front desk lady was very nice. She asked me some personal information such as my insurance card. I asked whether I need to send a copy to her. She said no. The call only listed few minutes. Finally, appointment was made at 3 pm in the afternoon. 30 minutes before 3 pm, the doctor office called me, telling me that I might not be able keep the appointment since they didn't get the insurance reference. What's more, they said it was my responsibility to get the reference. I agree this is the first time I visit the specialist after I came to US, and I should be aware of this issue. However, it is also the doctor office's fault, since they didn't inform their patient what to do. What I am very unsatisfied was that they completely push the fault to me, saying that I didn't give them the copy of the insurance card. I SWEAR that I asked the front desk lady about the copy of my insurance card. And she said she didn't need. Now they said I didn't give that to them. If a front desk person could lie to the patient, should I believe what they say about my health condition? If you visit this place, you will go to the forth floor of the Doctor's building. I will absolutely be making Dr. Evans my main OBGYN. Today I had my first Pap smear and I was terrified. Dr. Evans was nothing but sweet and patient with my nerves, she talked me through every step so that I would know what to except and made the process as quick as possible. She really listened to all my concerns regarding my health and had genuine solutions for my issues instead of just prescribing me a pill like all my previous doctors. I felt like Dr. Evans truly cared about my well being and I will definitely be going back to see her. Every person that I encountered in the office was extremely kind and helpful, I honestly couldn't be happier with my experience. *I will note that the decor is super dated and made me feel a little "iffy" upon arriving, but as soon as I met with the doctor I was completely fine. read more

Wife went in for yearly check up, saw Dr. Evans. Very nice doctor, spoke Spanish to converse with my wife which is a huge plus. The meeting didn't feel rushed at all and we felt we had all our questions answered. Bonus: They have a Quest station inside their office, so blood draws are immediate and without a wait! read more

I saw Dr Evans today. She seems nice and knowledgeable. She has good reviews on the UHC website and on Yelp. I like the baby pics around the office too, shows they have experience and makes the office personable. The only reason I give three stars instead of five, is the office decor. The waiting room needs some interior design help as does the exam room (at least the one I was in). I did like that they have cloth gowns instead of paper, that is a nice comfort measure. I was seeing Dr. Evans for the past 2-3 months and I am finally switching doctors. This practice takes so many patients, your appointment times are rushed. This was my first pregnancy and I struggled with all the changes happening to my body. Dr. Evans never took the time to explain to me what I was likely to expect. I was constantly calling with questions because I didn't want to rely on Google and she did not call me back once. I always would get a call back from her medical assistant who would just offer me a prescription. It's like they didn't understand that I wanted some answers not just another prescription. Dr. Evans also frequently forgot the prescriptions that she had prescribed. She never asked me my medical history. Every symptom I had she dismissed as normal - even when I was having issues breathing and passing out at work. Turns out I have asthma. But because the baby was healthy, Dr. Evans never bothered to do the necessary tests to rule out something as simple as asthma which resulted in two ER trips and a lot of stress on my body. Oh, also I tested positive for the sickle cell trait so they tested my partner. It took two months to get his results and when I finally demanded an answer as to why it was taking so long, turns out that they had sent his blood to be tested for the wrong thing. So he had to come back up there and be tested again. I finally decided I wanted to switch and I requested my medical records. The front office would not allow me to obtain my records without first releasing them from my medical care by signing a form. But I didn't have a new OBGYN yet so I was uncomfortable doing that but I could not get a new OBGYN without my records. I hadn't yet gotten my first appointment with my new OBGYN when I was on a business trip out of state and I had a medical emergency. I called AWH and spoke to Jackie in the front office and they would not allow me to ask any questions or speak to the physician since I had signed that form even though she was the one who made me do it. This practice was horrible and I feel really relieved to be out of there. read more

Appointment was for 9:15. Asked to be here at 9 am due to new insurance. It's been 45 minutes and I still haven't been seen by the doctor. Nurse said that I told them I was bringing my ultrasound results. Nope. Never said that to anyone. My PCP faxed them yesterday. Asked the nurse if she received them. She hadn't even looked. They were sitting on the fax machine. Took my weight and she logged it wrong. This place is a mess. Dr. Bankston is great (hope she shows up soon!) but the rest of her staff is terrible. Dr. Hartley and her wonderful staff are such great professionals. Today I had a sonogram and the technician explained EVERYTHING she saw to me. I've never had that experience. Dr. Hartley is a compassionate and kind doctor and she has alleviated my fears about dealing with my medical condition. I highly recommend Dr. Hartley to any woman seeking a professional gynocologist who can handle all ranges of women's health needs, from pregnancy to post-menopause issues. I switched to this doctor's after visiting another one that was much larger. My first visit was with Dr. Bankston. While I had to wait a while to be seen, once she came in it quickly became apparent why. She spent close to 45 mins with me addressing every question I had and spending the time to get to know me as a patient. I didn't feel like I was just another appointment and patient to her that is rushed in and out. (Which is exactly how I felt at my previous OB) So if your looking for a personable and caring doctor Dr. Bankston is the doctor to see. read more

Went in because I had vaginal pain during intercourse. Was told that I "looked" like I had herpes, (I have been in a monogamous relationship for 6 years) yes I still realize that I could have a disease so I was fine to get the blood test. I asked for a vitamin test because I am vegan, Dr. Evans agreed that, that was a good idea. She also let me know that my co-pay would now be $20 because this wasn't a "normal" visit and that I would need to come back in a week. During the next visit, I was told I'd again have to pay $20 because it wasn't a normal checkup. Dr. Evans was happy to let me know I didn't have herpes, she didn't do any other blood testing (including the vitamin panel we had talked about) to see why I would be having pain and she really didn't care about me as her individual patient. I still suffer with pain to this day and she NEVER gave me an answer or reason as to why it could be happening, she was confused herself. I would 100% not recommend Dr. Evans as well as this whole clinic. They billed me incorrectly for my labs and still send me bills to this day after I had paid everything off already. They're corrupt and don't offer any services or help to women. Dr. Evans seems very satisfied to send people home with no help, or clue as to what's happening with their body, and she's perfectly fine with it as long as she can keep billing you. I'd highly recommend looking for a different doctor. read more

I have been horribly let down by this practice multiple times and am definitely going elsewhere. The most recent offense was when I requested new birth control to help my PMDD. I was on Reclipsen (given to me by Dr. Bankston) for over a year. So Bankston has the nerve to say "Well that makes sense. What you're on now can aggravate it". I told her countless times in the years that I've been going here that I have PMDD, so why would she prescribe me a birth control for so long KNOWING that it aggravates it?!!? So all I can do is roll my eyes and ask what else there is. So she starts trying to say "Yaz" is a great birth control. I stop her completely and tell her that I've heard nothing but horror stories about it. She assures me that it's just the competitors making false TV ads. So I go with what she says, since, you know, she's supposed to be the PROFESSIONAL. I get home and research more because my unease will not cease. There are over 10,000 lawsuits from INDIVIDUAL WOMEN against this, the FDA has given them multiple citations for dirty manufacturing plants and horrible ingredients, and more women have DIED from blood clots than any other pill. These are NOT ads from competitors. These are real lawsuits and FDA complaints! I get so angry at her and tell everyone I know and they all tell me that it has been on the news for a long time, and some have personally felt the awful, debilitating side effects from this pill. One of my friends even figured that Bankston is getting paid off by the Yaz industry to try and sell this to her patients. I honestly wouldn't be surprised. So I call in today demanding I get my regular birth control ordered to my pharmacy, since I am already going to be two days without pills because of this "doctor"! And as usual, the women who answer the phones are nothing but condescending and rude. Everytime I go, there are new employees, telling me that no one lasts long here because they are horrible people. I've never had a good experience with the women on the phone. Always sound impatient and angry, no matter the reason for the call. When asked to repeat a question because they talk too quiet, she sighed all irritated and said it back like I was a third grader! Another long term issue I've had is that I was told I have HPV in 2014. So I was told to come back every 4 months to get checked out and get a colposcopy done if it still is irregular. I've wasted so much time and money doing that all last year, not to mention how much she pushes gardasil, which costs a pretty penny. Then all of a sudden at the last appointment (same appt as above), she says, "Oh yeah. Since you're under 25, you only come every year and we don't do colposcopies anymore because of your age". DON'T YOU THINK THAT INFORMATION WOULD'VE BEEN HELPFUL TO ME A YEAR AGO!? I am so utterly SICK of this place. Everytime I go, I want to cry because of how STRESSFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL the entire office is! Not to even mention the HOUR PLUS of waiting every time, no matter what time you get there and no matter what day or how busy. All they do is gab on and on in the back, and could care less how long you have been waiting and that you have a job to go back to! I highly advise you look elsewhere for such important healthcare needs. You will only find disappointment and lies in this office. Don't believe me?
