My story starts with an appointment with Dr Pamela Howard. First it takes months to get an appointment to see her. I saw her in July. She recommended a home sleep study. It takes months to get an appointment for a home sleep study. When the date came (in December), I did my home sleep study and returned the equipment to the Neurology Center. I was told that the results will be posted on the patient portal about a week after the study. About 10 days after the study, I received a bill. But I did not see any report, nothing summarizing the result of the sleep study. I waited a few days, until 2 weeks after the study, and I still saw nothing on my patient portal. I called to inquire. This is when my negative experience started. I was told I need to see someone before they will release the results. NO one told me this before. And Dr Howard's first available appointment is in March. I said this is unacceptable. I refuse to pay the bill until I receive a report summarizing the results. Then I was reminded - when I arrived at the office, they required me to give a credit card they kept on file. So the Neurology Center will bill my credit card whether I liked it or not. I did not have the option of not paying. This made me quite angry. How can they bill me when I have not yet received the result of the study! The person I spoke with said there is a physician's assistant who has a spot tomorrow and I could speak with her via telehealth. I said fine. Next day morning, I looked at the email from the Neurology Center. There was a link to a website with paperwork I had to fill out before my telehealth session. There were maybe 10 screens of info to fill out. On the very LAST screen it said I had to be physically located in DC or Maryland in order to do telehealth with this person. No one warned me about this. I live in Virginia. The person who suggested the appointment should have warned me. She should have noticed that my address is in Virginia. I called to double check - is this information correct. Do I have to be in DC or Maryland? I was put on hold for 15 minutes. So I hung up and called again. And I was told, "Yes you have to be in DC or Maryland." Fortunately I live close enough to DC and I found this out early enough I could actually go into the office. But this only added to my negative patient experience. When I saw the physician's assistant, Annise Claude, she told me the result of my sleep study is, there is nothing bad enough to warrant a CPAP machine. Now why couldn't they tell me that via a simple email or report via the patient portal. I had to go into the office, spend 3 hours of my time to go there and come back, to hear the news they could not really find anything bad. And of course this gives the Neurology Center another chance to bill because this visit is not included in the fee for the home sleep study. In summary, I believe this office is more focused on profits than patients. This is not a good place for patients.

This business takes months to see you and book appointments, then they misinform you about the costs and do as little as possible during the appointments so they can get you in again and charge you. The business model is extremely predatory. Here's one example: I had a follow up appointment for a sleep study, video call... physician was over 15 minutes late after they cancelled the appointment and pushed it back another month. They told me nothing I couldn't already read on a print out from the study and then boom surprise charge for over 150$ for a 10 minute call, with an ask for follow up appointments in the future. Management was useless when trying to negotiate this, which wasn't the first case of surprise expenses from this business. Stay away, if you know what's good for you.

They allowed me to schedule all my appointments for the month instead of weekly. Dr. Lubick explained thoroughly what occurred to my body during the accident and the steps we would take to address my pain. He used language I could understand and allowed me to ask questions. You can tell he is passionate about his work. While Dr. Lubick does allow his assistants to do some of the work after the initial 2 visits he did start my visits every time which allowed me to voice any concerns I had about my pain. The facility isn't large but has sectioned private pods for your sessions which some other facilities don't have. In all he is a great doctor would recommend to other.

He is by far the most knowledgeable internist I've ever encountered, and he really takes his time. Meaning he would sit with you, go over your entire medical history, and listens to all your concerns (you wont encounter a dozen of medical assistants who basically act as your doctor using the owner's "MD" title) Heads up, he is a perfectionist, meaning he would spend as much as needed time with each patient, and considering not every patient's condition is the same, he might be running behind, and there might be some wait. But trust me, he is well worth the wait!

It has also become difficult to receive certain services or medication support, especially when prior authorizations are required. He makes you feel as if you're his only patient taking whatever time is needed to answer any questions and keep you informed of the treatment plans. My husband came to the center unable to walk because of spine surgery and with a diagnosis of a blood disorder.  As a result of Dr. Thorpe's thoroughness, it turned out that there was no blood disorder.  The usual blood tests provided inaccurate results. The physical and occupational therapists were equally caring and skilled. The therapies had him walking and slowly becoming self sufficient. The nursing care cannot be praised enough.They were always responsive to his needs and often checked in just to see how he was doing. Our care navigator, Ms. Enitan Macarthy worked to maintain quality care and made the transition home seamless. We owe a debt of gratitude to the entire staff for getting my husband functioning well enough to come home.

She is thorough, personable and extremely knowledgeable. I see her 2-3 times a year. Some other reviewers have rightfully noted some challenges with the support she gets from her office staff. Some staff are extraordinary others make it clear that you are a bother to them and don't bother to follow up on issues. Dr. Agrawal recently announced that she will be starting a new practice and I imagine that many of those issues will be addressed.
