I was told that I needed to pay before services were rendered. I was also asked to pay a tip before services were rendered. After the massage ended, I was demanded to pay a tip . In California tipping is optional no problem tipping for good service . However when the person who worked there demanded it .. sorry not gonna happen! The person did not understand my request " please softer ." , please be soft ". I requested this a total of 3 times .. she then proceeded to laugh and chuckled . this by far as one of us experiences that I had. I have real back and knees issues. if I am driving in a car or traveling over hour it's a problem for me. muscle tightness leads to more and more pain and stiffness. I went here just by chance to try to relieve my back for a drive home. The service I received was incredible. It is seated in the expectation I could ever have. I hate that I can't remember the person who service me name . But I am truly grateful. The prices were reasonable beyond reasonable. It's important to note that many of the persons working at many Chinese (Asian) massage businesses are working on a visa. They know no to limited English. And the visa has a time limit. I got the massage, but the therapist was not able to understand my requests (I understand English as a second language is tasking, but communication with your customer is a must!), she laughed when I was vocal with my pain, and it smelled like bleach (to much). It is actually run by the same group that manages the high rated Del Rosa Massage place in San Bernardino, but it's a much nicer, quieter and more intimate space, and not in San Bernardino on Del Rosa... Same amazing massage at great prices. I love the back walking, hot towel pressure massage and hot stones. Be sure to let your masseuse know how much pressure - light, medium, or hard. This is my 5th visit here and my thoughts on this place has come to a conclusion. I don't like it. The therapist..... FARTED on me! First my therapist doesn't speak English well, and couldn't understand a thing I was sayin. It was incredibly hard to communicate with her. Second, she noticed i gave her a 5 dollar tip before the massage, which btw this place charges you before a massage.... weird. Anyways, she noticed I gave her 5 extra dollars so she asked for more... who asks for more tip?! I said no, I have no more money on me... so.... SHE FARTED ON ME! She Seriously FARTED on me! Not once... twice! I can't believe this! At first, my mind didn't want to believe what i heard.... but the second one was a long drawn out fart that was obvious on what it was. Gross... I hate to say this but i felt like i wasted $70 for the worst massage of my life. This was my 2nd time here. The 1st one was pretty decent. But, this time i wanted to cry out of frustration. I just came out of my night shift and really felt i needed a good massage. I booked a 90 min session and all she did was literally rubbed her elbow all over my back. I tried to talk to her and explain that i wanted a deep tissue but due to language barrier she's not understanding me and just kept on going. This was my first time at Aster Massage. I'm always hesitant about what you get. I called and got a same day appointment. Upon arrival they didn't seem to know I was coming. They requested payment up front. She showed me to a room and closed the door without saying anything. I waited a few minutes for her to return so I could clarify what I wanted. She then told me to undress and lay face down. I didn't completely undress, good thing as she kept leaving to respond to people coming in. The massage itself was good. This must've been my 5th time coming here. I finally found a place I liked and even brought different people w. Me every time I came. Except this time, they did us wrong. I made an appointment for two people a day ahead for a morning appt. The day of the appt. the owner called me 12 minutes before the scheduled massage to confirm. But because I didn't pick up a random number (he called from his cellphone, not the office), they took other people in (walk ins) and told us they couldn't take us because we didn't pick up to confirm. We even came in 5 mins early. And never had they called in the past to confirm. Had I known that, I would've called and confirmed myself. Anyways, they made a mistake and instead of trying to accommodate us, they told us to visit their other location in del Rosa. No thanks! This place and its management is very unprofessional, and I will no longer be recommending it. read more
