I don't get here very often. But every time I do I thoroughly enjoy it. I got a grilled ham and cheese sandwich and added lettuce tomato and mayo. It was very good. Pretty busy on a Thursday night but they handled it well. Our order was accurate and fairly quick. I like the self-serve fry sauce and ketchup pumps. To the person who complained that the fry sauce is too mayo-heavy, I agree but just squirt some ketchup in your cup and it's all good. I loved the gluten-free bun. It never fell apart or choked me with dryness like so many other gf buns. The pastrami on my astroburger was flavorful. The fries were pretty bland but they do have extra salt. Oh and the orders are big. Next time I want to just share a large fry with my son! And he couldn't finish his double cheeseburger because the food is just so filling! is always one of my favorite places to get milkshakes at, I always go to the same location in salt lake and it is the 3900 South & State Street. I always end up going in at night time cuz I just ends up working with my availability to grab a shake or a snack or combo ... The only unfortunate part is every time I'm in there there is a group of people that when they help me at the front counter they go and talk to the co-workers and they all turn around and stare at me, I am well aware that my teeth are not in the best shape right now because I'm in the middle of getting work done, but I don't need people to make me feel so humiliated and embarrassed that I don't even want to go in or even go through the drive-thru to get something even though it is my favorite place to get a milkshake because you guys make the best ones. So it ends up taking me weeks or months to get my anxiety down enough to get the courage to go back in there again and then once again I'm faced with the same issue and judgment. I'm also very aware that people can sit there and deny it or they will say that oh no she is making it up or whatever but, I'm also not stupid. We received the wrong order in the drive thru. We didn't know until we got home. (Also, I was starving with spring yard clean up). Brought the order back. The owner apologized, quickly put our order a priority, gave us complimentary shakes. He was absolutely amazing. Astro Burger is another staple around these parts-we sure do like our burgers, fries and FRY SAUCE. And by the look of the parking lot at 5:30 on a Friday evening, it's apparent that plenty of people share that opinion. What sets Astro Burgers apart from some of the others is the customer service. The people here really seem to enjoy their work and are enthusiastic to help the hungry trail of customers that never ends. They cheerfully keep the food cranking. Most recently, I ordered a chef salad instead of a burger (I know, who does that!?) and it was really good. There was so much meat on the salad that I ran out of lettuce toward the end. I need to remember to request it without cheese, since there was also a ton of that too. It's a solid salad. The burger and fries are also tasty, and hit the spot when you want something filling. One thing to note is that the parking lot is rough. There is an entire row of parking stalls that will absolutely get blocked in if there is any line in the drive through. Pay attention to that when you are dining in and park on the south side of the building if possible. Otherwise, it's a comical game of trying to maneuver your car around other waiting cars and use non-verbal communication with the other drivers to get out. But at least, by then, you have a fully belly and are no longer hangry. read more

This was my first time going to Astro Burgers and the quality was up there with Apollo (which is a good thing). I always get the Pastrami burger at these joints; here it's called the Astro Burger. An employee there was super nice and giving all the kids an extra dum dum. My burger and fries were hot, fresh, and delicious. I didn't love my sisters sweet potato fries. Staff was ok, the service I received was not bad but it was not good. I did show up an hour prior to closing so I can chalk it up to everyone had a long day and was ready to close shop, I get it. But to the most important part, the food. It was a family night but I tried a lil of everyone's food as always so I can give an honest review. The burgers are good above average but not the best. They are a Greek style burger place if that's what you are looking for but the price and food quality did match Wich is always a great thing. Just had the WORST pastrami sandwich of my life! The pastrami was burned and dry; the bun was tough and the sauce was almost non-existent. Plus, the Astro Burger that my friend ordered with NO lettuce had a PILE of soggy lettuce on it. The guy who took our drive thru order sounded so nice; the guy who gave us the box of food greeted us with: 'That will be $37.45'. No 'Good evening', nothing but 'give me your money'. He acted like he didn't give two $hits about the customers. The fries were ok and the fried mushrooms were pretty good. The sandwiches were gross. Just an okay burger, nothing exciting but not terrible. It was very greasy and the bun was basically soaked in grease which is not the best. The burger patty itself was decent and they had good fries. Their fry sauce was very sweet which is not my favorite, gladly also asked for some ketch up to go with the fries. One thing I will say was great was that I ordered, paid, and received food within private 4 minutes which for fast food now a days is really quick. I did like that but for the price and the quality of the burger I probably won't return. This location has been consistently good quality and fast service for years. They are doing great working around the covid-19 restrictions and keeps the drive through line moving well. I have used the call ahead service a few times now and you park on the south side of the building and they bring it right to your window. I have seen Astro Burger locations around since I moved here but never went until recently. Upon walking in, I must say...the customer service was absolutely phenomenal! I got just a regular burger in a combo meal! The guy at the counter was great about up selling a combo to me and just being very nice throughout the transaction. I found a place to sit and my food came to me in a very timely fashion. Honestly, the food was not very good at all. It was cooked and everything. It was just super bland and I wasn't the biggest fan. The burger didn't seem to have any kind of sauce on it and the fries didn't have any seasoning either. Virtual identical menu w/ pastrami burger front and center, almost identical pricing too ($11 after tax for a double or pastrami burger combo). This place had bigger portions than the one Apollo I've been to tho: a meatier burger, and seemed to hook it up with more fries. The fry sauce is a little better too. The beef situation is a bit weird though. The first trip I tried a double burger, and I got two thick patties but that rather low quality that's kinda like salisbury steak ... second trip I got a single cheeseburger, the beef was much better / more natural tasting but the patty was definitely more thin. Today was the first time I heard of this place-even though I live less than 5 minutes away. Stopped here for lunch and if you haven't tried their Astro Burger with the tender pastrami and all the fixings...well you must! I've been to this place a few times now and it never disappoints! This place reminds me of the burgers I used to have in California, they are juice and not dry they put just the right amount of sauce and so much bacon! I had a piece in every bite! I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with bacon, and it was good, but the onion ringers were awful. They were stuck together, not that warm, and bland. It's like somehow they managed to deflavor the onion rings and make them worthless to eat. This may just be the first and last time I go here, or at least to this location. #barf The burger was probably a 3.5 or 4, but everything else ranked in the IDGAF territory.
