Patty Shack absolutely delivered in every way. The burgers are incredible, juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. I went with the "everything on it" burger like they recommended, and honestly, that's the move. Don't overthink it, just get it that way, you won't be disappointed. The fries deserve their own shoutout too. Easily the best I've had in years: crispy on the outside, soft inside, and seasoned perfectly. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Super friendly, welcoming, and you can tell it's a true mom-and-pop spot that actually cares about what they're serving. Food was amazing across the board. If you're thinking about it just go. Shortly before moving to the area, we were excited to try a fun local spot. I really like the casual diner feel of this place (though I will say the tables could use a good cleaning). Parking is super limited, but thankfully it wasn't terribly busy when we stopped by. At the counter, it was very hard for us to understand the employee who was taking our order, both in volume and enunciation. He also did not seem very happy to be there. Our food came out relatively quickly. We really liked our fries. The burger was pretty good as well. I just left this place feeling like it had the potential to be more than what it was. I am not sure how else to explain it. Will we be back? I'm not sure. We have some pretty reliable burger places we like to visit. But I wouldn't be opposed to giving it another shot. read more

When we opened the front door and walked in to Patty Shack, we were greeted by a significant wafting cloud of grill smoke that led us to the kitchen in the back. This place serves burgers, BLTs and grilled cheeses with lots of customizable toppings to choose from. Burger sizes range from single, double, and triple patties. Piping hot fries. At the register, there's a straightforward glowing yellow menu to order from. You can't miss it. Our burger patties were made fresh, not pre-formed/frozen - I appreciated that they started cooking 'em on the flat top right as soon as we placed our order. They have fountain drinks and ice maker. We opted for water, which tasted a little funky. :-/ Our cheeseburgers were quite flavorful and juicy, and both came with a side of fries (single-patty pastrami $12, bacon $12). The food arrived to our table piping hot and delicious. Burgers wrapped in foil, served on 4" potato buns. Great texture, nice bite. The hot fries had a pleasant crispness to them, nice saltiness, and were accompanied by a small chilled fry sauce.. Tasty. Patty Shack is a greasy hole-in-the-wall, with dim lighting, dusty footprint tracked linoleum floors, and wood walls reminiscent of decades past. So come as you are! :) Outside there's a parking lot wrapped around the place, along with some outdoor seating. I read reviews where others have favorably compared Patty Shack to a certain customizable burger chain. Not exact...but kinda close, I guess... Last stop on our way out of Utah and it did not disappoint! This burger was juicy and flavorful. The ambiance is giving a classic burger vibe; the name of the place is so fitting. This is the real definition of a back water dive. While not a bar it is in a neighborhood. You would not expect to see. It is in a run down house with an old truck in the front. It looks like they tried to fix it up at one point but it has seen better days. With that the food was pretty good. I would compare it to a 5 guys burger in taste without the huge price. They don't use premade patties. The fries are really good as well. If you want something different but good give them a try. read more

The food was good. There was no air conditioning so it was very hot inside. The young colored lady who took our order was not friendly. No smile . Very little greeting. When I didn't include a tip, it was obvious she was upset. Kind of like she's entitled to a tip for a takeout with poor service. The triple burgers and fries were great, which is what the 3 stars are for. I'm not sure why they had no AC going so people could sit inside. Ok, here's the deal. Food 1000% amazing and it's basically a greasy spoon. It smells like good old grilled and fried food in this LITTLE old house turned burger place. The front door can stick a little and there is not a TON of parking. It has indoor seating (about 12 boothes I think) one unisex bathroom. When we have gone the bathroom isn't sparkling (too busy making amazing food, I guess). They have some sticker books for kids to play in while waiting. It's tucked away in the middle of a neighborhood in Murray and when you walk in, it's a complete dive, wood plank walls and floors, smoke from the flattop hits you. But damn the food is good. I got the daddy patty, but with two instead of three patties. This thing is piled high with bacon and pastrami. Every burger is to order, you choose all your toppings and condiments. We got fries and they're fries are so good, they're battered do that extra crunch and flavor. And of course they have to have fry sauce. Then we saw the pastrami burger - and HAD to order that too. If you are debating between bacon cheese burger vs pastrami, get the pastrami. They fry the pastrami perfectly with a little crisp to it. Really good hole in the wall spot for burgers and fries. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with grilled onions, mayo, catchup, lettuce and it was really good. The bacon was a little more crunchy than I prefer but still good. Fries were nice and crispy, which I do prefer. My wife ordered the BLT. It's what it sounds like but on a hamburger bun. The burger meat could use a little seasoning or salt tbh... but other than that, just wow. Loved it and wolfed it down. ( I started gobbling it as soon as I got home. So or explains the half eaten burger pic) (*please remember this is my opinion to the burger and fries and mine solely... to each their own!) I loved it, if you love the 5 guys burgers... this will definitely not disappoint! Their fries are so dang crispy and good!! I like them the most!! Oooh this is a little hole in the wall! Im surprised I've never heard of it before! Their burgers were delicious. They had a variety of toppings you can add to your burger! I liked the big selection that they had. I got a bacon cheeseburger burger and added almost everything! It does take a bit to make the burgers but it's worth the wait. Discovered this place last month and now all other burgers pale in comparison. Anytime I eat a burger or fries now I find myself thinking, "it's no Patty Shack." The burger is so flavorful and they cook their bacon to perfection. The fries are the most phenomenal fries I've ever had- I now don't care or feel sad that I missed out on the pre-90s McDonalds tallow fries everyone talks about because I'm convinced nothing could be better than these. We've never stayed to eat, just order takeout, but it's worth the 20 min drive for us any day of the week. Service is always exceptionally friendly, and although it's slightly embarrassing they recognize my name on the takeout order, nothing will keep me away. Please never change, Patty Shack! read more

It's an old school interior and vibe with a simple menu. You order at the counter and can sit down in their dining room area. They unfortunately don't have a veggie burger on their menu, but they do have a regular grilled cheese option and a Maddie Veggie Melt, which is an elevated grilled cheese option with caramelized onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It comes on a buttered/grilled bun and was really delicious and just what I wanted and needed, even though there wasn't a veggie burger option. I didn't get a photo of the fries because, let's be honest, they were gone in 30 seconds because they were so delicious. Perfectly cooked and crispy and they come with fry sauce.
