Amazing burgers in a hole of a restaurant filled with greasy smoke! The old time feel of the place is nostalgic with simple menus and good food. I wish we had taken our food to go, but we were hungry!

The food was good. There was no air conditioning so it was very hot inside. The young colored lady who took our order was not friendly. No smile . Very little greeting. When I didn't include a tip, it was obvious she was upset. Kind of like she's entitled to a tip for a takeout with poor service. The triple burgers and fries were great, which is what the 3 stars are for. I'm not sure why they had no AC going so people could sit inside. This could have been a good all around experience, but due to the points above it was a bad experience for us.

This is the real definition of a back water dive. While not a bar it is in a neighborhood. You would not expect to see. It is in a run down house with an old truck in the front. It looks like they tried to fix it up at one point but it has seen better days. With that the food was pretty good. I would compare it to a 5 guys burger in taste without the huge price. They don't use premade patties. The fries are really good as well. If you want something different but good give them a try.

Patty Shack Heard pastrami burgers and fry sauce were an Utah staple, so I had to try it, and Patty Shack did not disappoint. I got the pastrami cheeseburger (with everything) & fries meal, and for $12 it was super filling and flavorful. The fry sauce was a great compliment to the fries, and the burger was made fresh and juicy. This shouldn't have came as a surprise as their wall was filled with awards they've gotten for their burgers. A tasty break from the usual burger chains

I took my daughter here after a day up a Brighton skiing and snowboarding. We love a greasy meal after burning over 1000 calories riding. This place hit the spot. It's tucked away in the middle of a neighborhood in Murray and when you walk in, it's a complete dive, wood plank walls and floors, smoke from the flattop hits you. But damn the food is good. I got the daddy patty, but with two instead of three patties. This thing is piled high with bacon and pastrami. Every burger is to order, you choose all your toppings and condiments. We got fries and they're fries are so good, they're battered do that extra crunch and flavor. And of course they have to have fry sauce. The logo is modern and doesn't fit the building and vibe but I could care less about that. Give me another daddy patty burger now!

Best burger that I have had in years. Great meat to bun ratio, great service and perfect fries. Definitely be back.

Patty shack is exactly what you think of when you think a little hole in the wall burger place! It's small and they don't even have a number system for your order. They just remember who ordered what and brought it out. The burger was great! I would compare it to a local five guys burger. The fries are fried in beef tallow and to the perfect brown crispy crunch !

I loved this place so much that I came here two days in a row and brought a friend the second time. It is such a little jewel that many will drive by and never stop at. Unfortunately, that is their loss, and it keeps it a special spot for the rest of us because we can get in and out with a hidden treat. The folks behind the counter are friendly and have big smiles. Ordering is easy, and you can have the burger your way. Once your order is placed, you go get your drink. A welcoming sign is hanging there, letting you know the refills are free. They bring your burger out to you, and the fun begins. The burger is hot off the grill, the cheese is melted to perfection, and that first taste is oh-so-good. It's hot and juicy, and the beef is top-notch when it comes to flavor. Get out of the traditional fast-food burger chains and head to this joint. You will be glad you did.

Im from the deep South & let me just say...this is the place you drive 30 min in the wrong direction for; finding it off the side of a country road & the inside feels like a bit of home. The food is made right there in front of you, tasting like it was made at your grandmamas house with a bit of love. the ranch is homemade- something that's hard to find made right out here. Priced very fair! $10-12 for a meal. Keep it up yall, southern approved!

The infamous Patty Shack is worth a visit. Smile food at its finest. Great burgers and excellent fries with lots of seating and friendly staff.

Great burgers and fries. The tables weren't clean and had to seek for a clean table. I'd only do take out for this restaurant

    Is it gluten free?

No. They have fries but I don't think they have their own fryer. I can't remember if they fries anything but fries because we have only purchased hamburgers. I usually eat gluten-free but when I come here I take a digestive enzyme (not celiac over… Read more

Parking is all street parking, and during peak dinner hours it can definitely be hit or miss. We ended up parking a bit farther away and walking over. Service was a little messy during our visit, but I could also tell the staff was trying their best. It seemed like there was only one person taking orders and handling the front, and she looked pretty flustered on a busy night. I also suspect the kitchen may have been understaffed. For appetizers, we ordered the ravioli and the baguette au gratin. Both were delicious. The ravioli was definitely my favorite of the night. It was super rich and heavy, so sharing it was the right move. The baguette itself tasted good, but the cheese on top was cold and had already solidified. It felt like it had been premade and quickly assembled before serving. For our mains, we ordered the duck breast and the beef bourguignon. This is where I really started feeling like the kitchen was struggling a bit. Both dishes came out surprisingly fast, but unfortunately the duck, mashed potatoes, and even the gravy were cold. Not just cooled down, but genuinely cold like they had been sitting out for a while and not kept under a warming lamp. The beef bourguignon was the warmest dish we received, though even that was only lukewarm. The frustrating part is that the flavors were actually really good. The food itself was delicious, but the temperature of almost every dish really took away from the experience.
