First time here. Young girl at the register has zero personality. No greet or welcome in, just "here or to go" was the only greet I received. She clearly doesn't like working here and it shows. Value is not there either. Spent $19 for a sandwich and drink. Probably won't be back. Also here at noon and there's 2 other tables in peak lunch time. I ordered the tri-tip sandwich with the sauces on the side so I could try them but the sandwich was so dry, it just fell apart when I tried to pick it up. Also it was supposed to come with grilled onions but they didn't put it on. Perhaps if it wasn't a toasted bun it would have stayed together better. Layout and design of the store - 1/5 The interior space available isn't small by any means, but there are so many walls it just feels cramped inside. The pathway to order is so skinny, you can't hardly turn around. The wall should really be cut in half They give you these nice quality boxes when you order a salad, but the boxes don't fit into the garbage can lids, without more effort than I'd think I need. I just find this as odd design choice Quality of Service - 2/5 We were a few minutes late for breakfast, but we figured we'd at least ask. The woman at the register was quite rude about it. Granted, we came here late at night, about 20 minutes before closing. However, the cashier essentially told us that we can't dine in because they close soon. A bit rude but whatever I get foodservice can be hard. We ordered the Le Squish and the Tri-tip Torta. The steak in the torta was COLD. Not lukewarm, not cold-ish. Like out of a fridge cold. The burger was fine. An excessive amount of sauce to the point where my hands were gross but I can't really complain about that. They also didn't give us a fork for our mac and cheese we ordered. $40 for not great service, a cold sandwich that is supposed to be hot, and no fork for our mac and cheese...? Cubby's is famous for their hamburgers and salads. The food is high-quality, fresh and reasonably priced. Be sure to check out the tri tip steak sandwich, it is an incredible combination of flavors. It has bacon, tri-tip steak and the perfect amount of barbecue sauce. They have different barbecue sauces to choose from I think the spicy is the best. You can't go wrong with Cubby's. read more

I might be burned at the stake for saying this, but I did not enjoy Cubby's breakfast items. There seems to be a bit of a Cubby's Breakfast cult following, but I will not be joining that congregation anytime soon. Here's what we ordered: Breakfast Burrito: Ask for it without the beans to try and salvage some flavor. The only thing we tasted were the unseasoned black beans. The bacon also had a funky texture. It was overly chewy and hard. We kept thinking bits of plastic had found their way into our meal. Sadly, most of our burrito ended up in the trash. Brioche French Toast: This dish was much better than the burrito, but still disappointing. It was very very dry. Without that glaze (and a big ole glass of Coffee/water/juice), it's difficult to enjoy this dish as much as you want to. I wish they would've provided some syrup for added moisture... I love Cubby's regular menu, so this won't taint my view of the establishment as a whole. But I would skip the breakfast line if I was you. Stick with the burgers, fries, and shakes. My wife and I were in one of those situations where we were running errands and got hungry and started sort of aimlessly looking for a place to get some quick food. We pulled into the shopping center where this Cubby's is located with the intention of going through the Panda Express drive through but switched it up and decided to give Cubby's a try. I got the Tri-Tip with spicy BBQ, el Caliente style and Rosemary Fries. We got the food and headed straight home and ate. My food was not very warm. I'm going to blame that on the short drive home, but the Tri-Tip Sandwich would certainly have been better hot. I'll take the blame on that. It was okay. Strips of meat were cooked well done, were slightly tough and was not very flavorful. I suppose they rely on the BBQ to give the sandwich flavor. Their spicy BBQ was mildly spicy and if it had been me I would have used a good bit more on my sandwich. The el Caliente helped a bit, but it was also kind of unimpressive. They gave me a huge bag of fries. An order of fries would easily be enough for two if not three people. I didn't eat much. I could smell the rosemary but couldn't really taste it. These were thin cut fries (similar to In&Out), a little soggy and not very enjoyable In a world with more and more of these small semi-fancy burger chains Cubby's doesn't really stand out for me. As I look at their menu while writing this I don't see anything that would compel me to go back for another try, thus 2 stars vs 3 as what I got from them is not something I'd want again. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Love everything I've ever tried here. Their gypsy burger is one of my favorite in the valley, and it goes fantastic with their rosemary fries or their sweet potato fries. We went this weekend and decided to try the tri tip sandwich, cockadoodledoo, and their lemon chicken parm salad. Everything was very tasty and very fresh. One of the things I love most about cubby's is the freshness of their ingredients. Their wild rice and kale salad is probably my favorite salad from a restaurant, I could eat it three times a day, especially with the dressing that comes with it. The only bad thing is their fry sauce, not a big fan it's very sweet and that's not my style fry sauce. Otherwise great restaurant! Highly highly recommend this place! read more

I love the concept and story they have brought to the community -- a husband who wants filling, meat-based, and tasty food and a wife who wants to ensure the family is eating healthy, fresh, and natural foods. My kids and I love this place! My daughter requested this for her birthday meal. Kinda expensive but so filling I didn't need dinner that night. The orders of fries are huge and can easily be shared. My 6 year old loved her kids meal and ate about half. She also got a whoopie pie which she said was super tasty. The cock-a-doodle-doo chicken sandwich was pretty good- the chicken was soft and juicy and I loved the avocado spread (I licked the extra off the wrapper ) and they have a nice gluten free bun. I'm obsessed with the maple fries- the sauce is so good drizzled on top- much better than as a dip. My son got the Le squish and raves about it. He also got the rosemary fries without rosemary which they easily did for him. And he got a vanilla shake and let me try a bit- yum! Cubby cubby.... Walked in music little loud but normal for these type of places. Menu is on the wall. They have different types on sandwiches, burgers, and salads. First time around I order the pikey and it was really good. I also had they sweet potato fries which are the best I have had from a fast food place. Hubby had the dragonslayer and said it was really good. Second time around came with the in law and we decided to order To go. We told them we had 3 burgers To go. Ordered the 3 burgers and fries. Get our food and get 2 burgers and 3 fries. First time around the tables and the benches were sticky and the floor was super dirty and ants all over. Not sure if it was because it was summer and they were trying to cool off. But they have like 15 people working here someone needs to buss tables and clean. 2 - I'll admit we should have had him repeat the order but I did say in the begging we were going to order 3 to go.. and we did notice the messed up on other people's orders as they were coming up saying they were missing a few things. 3- no apologies given. It pains me to write this review because Cubby's is truly one of my favorite restaurants. I eat there at least once a week if not more. I went to the South Jordan location and decided to treat myself to a burger, which I don't do often. After I ordered, I noticed a small sign at the register that gave a new option of 1, 2, or 3 patties but didn't have time to read the small print. The person helping me didn't say anything about the patty option, so I figured I was just getting a regular burger. When I received my order I noticed there wasn't very much meat. After eating the first half and tasting almost no meat, I opened up the burger to find the smallest half of a patty I have EVER seen. You would likely need at least 3 of them to make one normal sized patty. I understand there is a beef shortage and restaurants are having a difficult time. But what I received for the money I paid was extremely disappointing. The burger was mainly mixed greens and there was no blue cheese crumbles. After this I don't know if I will ever order a burger again. read more

Have eaten here several times and been happy every time. It's an order at the counter place where they bring the food to you. The Apple pecan salad is super good. I will often get the half order and fries and that is plenty of food. Their are salads, sandwiches, burgers- something for everyone. They have shoe strings fries that do not come with the food, have to order separate. The kids menu has the standard Choices. Everything tastes really fresh. The flavors were great but I had to give it a poor review because of the sloppy assembly, and serious lack of meat on our tortas. Also, since when are tortas put on a plain hamburger bun. Best place for a fresh salad that is tasty but also healthy. I personally always get the wild rice and kale salad with chicken. Not sure what the dressing is for this particular salad but wow its the best salad dressing I have ever had. I have also had their sweet potatoes fries and their cookie/puff deserts they sell at the counter and wow just wow. Everything has always been great, went a few days ago and our group also ordered the Gypsy burger with the rosemary fries and they were raving about it for a few days. The only thing I do not like is their fry sauce, but as a salad person this is not an issue. However, if you are someone who does not like overall sweet fry sauce I would recommend just using ketchup, definitely do not skip the fries though1 Have told multiple people to give this place a try and they have all loved it, always bring visiting family to this spot as well! This place is a pretty good casual lunch place. We went two days in a row. First day I had the tri-tip salad. I wish tri-tip was fattier, but overall the salad was really good. Additionally I had rosemary fries. Those could have been better. It needed more rosemary. My coworkers salads were said to be good also. The next day I got a Houdini burger. It was a good burger, but I had to order the Greek salad to fill me up. The menu is a good mix of healthy and not healthy and everything tastes fresh. The unique Utah "fry sauce" (ketchup, mustard, mayo) is like In-n-Out special sauce minus the relish. Parking was fine. Line isnt that long even during lunchtime. Service is good. read more

Best food we've had in the suburbs of South Jordan!! We're from Oregon where organic farm fresh food is more than a trend, it's a way of life. It's sad, but bland corporate America reigns supreme around here, but we're so thrilled to have found Cubby's so close to our home in Daybreak!! The food here is really good, definitely somewhere we are always happy to eat. The Mac n' Cheese with crumbs on top is to die for !! It is however a bit expensive for what it is. You can easily spend upwards of 11 or 12 dollars per person which seems a bit pricey for a casual place. Overall this is a good restaurant and we definitely recommend grabbing a quick and pretty casual bite there at some point. read more
