Having to visit your wireless provider isn't the most exciting errand, but it's a necessity in today's connected world (thanks, Elon!). But if you're an AT&T customer, this location will make the event more palatable. I had to upgrade my iPhone (thanks, Steve!) and carved out an hour from my busy schedule. The wait wasn't too long, about 15 minutes, which was only because the staff members are very patient and helpful. There was a procession of older folks that just needed help with some phone function, and I was happy to let them quickly resolve their issues. The nature of a phone upgrade means long periods of waiting for something to process, upload, download, or backup. This left time for some idle chitchat with the staff member, and we bantered about the Tigers losing streak (thanks, AJ!). The timer on my watch read 43 minutes as we were wrapping up. Add on the 15 minute wait up front, and the entire process clicked in at 58 minutes. Not bad for shifting my entire digital life between iPhones. And doing it at this AT&T location made the experience more pleasant than I expected. read more

I didn't deal with this particular AT&T. Just trying to let people know, to keep their tracking information on cell phones they return to AT&T for MANY months after sending it back. 3 months later, I get a bill for $755.55 for a non return fee from AT&T when I sent the phone back, November 5, 2024, the same exact day I received my new phone. They recieved it November 8, 2025. I had to pay like $500 to upgrade early and the payments I had already and made on it. I'm just so thankful that I had kept my return receipt for as long as I have or AT&T would've just stolen almost $800 from me! If I didn't pay it I would've had to go to Verizon to get and start new service. I just wonder how many other people that are out there who threw their return info away thinking all was okay and then just received a HUGE bill and couldn't prove they sent it back when in fact they did. This should be illegal, I shouldn't even be dealing with this, since the phone is sitting in one of their warehouses as I speak. It's ridiculous how the big name companies have to rip innocent people off to line their own pockets. It's sickening to me and I'm a very angry consumer. BAD BUSINESS AT&T, BAD BUSINESS! I think after they fix this, I still might go to Verizon and check out phones n prices. I might be switching phone companies now, I just can not trust AT&T anymore. When you finally get help they aren't so bad, but they really need to be educated on customer service. I have been in the store for 30 minutes and not one person has even acknowledged me. I was immediately told that I could not have information transferred from my phone to my new phone without a Protection Plan. Then I was told the salesperson could not do it without a password. I was told to take it to the "You Break, I Fix" store. I took my phone to another AT&T where they had absolutely no problem transferring my information from my former phone to my new phone. The store I took it to that helped me was at 12 Mile & Orchard Lake Rd.... they couldn't have been nicer. They transferred my information easily and quickly..... read more

The staff wanted to charge for a SIM card to activate a phone that I just bought because I did not have it with me. Very poor customer service for someone that been with At&t for more than 10 years. read more

I was selling my old phone and the buyer wanted to make sure everything checks out (the phone is not reported lost/stolen) before buying it. We decided to meet at this store, and waited 30 minutes to talk to a representative. Finally, Angelina came to help us. She took the phone to check it and came back and told me that the phone was stolen. Mind you this is my own phone that I had bought from THAT PARTICULAR AT&T STORE. The buyer didn't end up buying the phone. I spoke to customer service regarding this issue and was told that the phone had absolutely no issues at all and was ready for service. I think Anglina told the buyer that the phone was stolen so they would end up buying the phone from them and not from me. Ive gotten a few very helpful and friendly sales person that go beyond their job to help me solve my issues. But ive also had some indifferent reps that just dont seem to grasp the term customer service as well as the rest of the sales rep. read more

Absolutely worst service ever ! George, the associate sales manager doesn't take responsibility for the sales representative's mistake. We were not informed clearly about the clauses in the family plan. When asked for it, the associate sales manager says "I DON'T KNOW". That is one of the most irresponsible answer that I could see. I will never go back to the AT&T store again. The customer service was absolutely horrible. I wanted to speak to a manager about a consistent problem I was having and was told to wait. I sat for 35 minutes, without being acknowledged, only to be told he wasn't available. They had no interest in helping out with the problems I was having, and were beyond rude to me. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous after waiting for the longest time I decided to call customer service to get what I needed. The call went great the rep took care of all of my needs. All I needed was for someone to hand me the phones I already ordered so I asked the person receptionist/ store manager whomever he his if he could just give me my order since he was not going anything. He told me he could not because he is not a salesperson. I explained I don't need a salesperson I already ordered what I needed he just needs to hand me my order. What does customer service mean when this company robs you every month with high charges and fees, have you looked at your bill ? They milk you, if you don't pay they disconnect you quickly and you're nothing. Company makes 30 billion in a quarter from customers. That's greed , very clear . I am a wireless/Internet and direct TV customer. I have been with ATT wireless for 14 years. . I went to your local store located at 31361 Orchard Lake Rd Farmington Hills, MI 48334. The purpose of my visit was to resolve a current issue with both my phones, and also to upgrade. A rep came to me. When I showed her my problems with my phones. She was very rude and treating me a like I am a dumb person and should not have a smart phone. Rather than resolving the issue , she was giving me a lecture with her opinion. At some points I said " well sometimes the issue might be ATT", she tells me right out flat "Switch and go some where else". Is this the ATT customer rep? A rude and opinionated person. And to make matters worse everyone else sitting around like there is no customer. I just walked out and they lost my business. I will not go back to that store at all. I sincerely appreciate your efforts for looking into this. I have always been happy with ATT customer services over the phone and online. Store and people like this gives ATT a bad image. read more

As a small business owner I have 6 phone lines. I was persuaded by store employee to switch to ATT from sprint. As a part of the deal, I was promised that ATT will pay my contract termination fees with Sprint with was around $1600. I received 3 ATT pre-paid cards of total amount of $205 which I could redeem only at corporate ATT stores. After contacting store employes Brendan and Silva (Farmington Hills, MI location) when conveniently dissapeared. Other people at the store were equally unhelpful. Noone follow through on their promises. Recently, I found out that I was put on 30 month deal, instead of 24 month without my knowledge. Which means that I have to deal with this low quality service for another 6 month. I warn all potential ATT consumers regarding dishonesty and lack of professionalism at every level at this company. Went in for an upgrade 1 hour to closing. After no greeting, or acknowledgement of our presence I asked for some help. We were then put on a list and waited 40 min. Vanessa helped us and was a great sales rep, answering all questions thoroughly. However, during our visit I overheard the unprofessionalism, condescending manner, and disrespect the "manager" George showed to another customer. Witnessing that conversation made me decide I will never go back to this AT&T location. Such a shame seeing how a customer was treated and the unprofessional demeanor of a so called manager. read more

Terrible waste of time. Store told me to drive to the post office to avoid a restocking fee to ship back two phones. ATT ended up charging me the restocking fee anyway ($70) and refuse to waive it. Looks like I'm not the only one who has been burned by this location. After many years we have switched carriers. Avoid this place at all costs read more

If I could give a negative score, I would! We showed up at 6:45 and were told we were next in line, but it would be a 1/2 hour wait. We asked if we could take our children next door to eat while we waited and were told that was fine and they would text us when they were ready. We also made it clear that we did not want the decision to go to dinner to be a reason to delay our visit. We were assured that this would not happen. Thirty minutes later we did receive a text. It was not a text from the automated service, but rather a text from one of the workers who took our phone number in the store. Text said they were ready to take care of us and included smiling Emoji's. We rushed back, and within one minute of receiving the text, arrived back at the door only to find that they had taken another couple in our place. Though there were four people working in the store that night, only one was capable of handling sales or helping customers. The other three were sitting at a table on the sales floor chatting while we waited for yet another 40 minutes to be helped. When we questioned why we were called back from dinner just to be waiting around, the manager and greeter gave scripted answers. Then, the greeter became extremely defensive and rude. Their system makes absolutely no sense- they are essentially paying four people when only one is capable of being productive and assisting customers. It is unfortunate that the store gets as much business as it does...especially when you observe person after person walking out dissatisfied, angry or frustrated. They are lucky to have the location they do because, without it, there wouldn't be a single person in there. read more
