I feel like everyone is friendly here despite having a very high workload. Perhaps being a Sunday it was very busy but I feel like this store is always busy. I came here to just get my battery fixed but after discussion realized instead of doing tney it was time to replace my old MacBook Air so I did do that. Had a weird glitch when loading my local files to new computer so they were nice enough to let me come back in a couple hours to pick up the computer I appreciated that considering they were so busy. Our Apple tech, Yaz, was very friendly, helpful, professional, & knowledgeable. When we first entered the store we were greeted and instructed to sign in with the Apple person in the middle. It took us a minute to figure out who this would be as there's no specially designated signage/desk/podium/different personnel attire and there were many Apple staffers assisting customers. We were able to find the sign in person as he was holding a tablet and happened to be signing someone else in. Thus the process could be a bit more organized and streamlined. Overall we were very happy with the service. We would highly recommend this Apple Store and Yaz our technician who was able to answer all our questions very professionally and kindly. I damaged my iphone mini most recently and took it to the store in Briarwood. They said they couldnt get the parts until Thursday. I decided not to get it fixed. I changed my mind. I made an appoiment for this store in Novi. I was turned away by the rude receptionist. Not only did she say they couldn't fix the phone but she was very rude and condescending. Of prime importance the staff is extremely knowledgeable about the entire Apple product lineup and has always been very friendly and helpful in answering my questions and guiding me along the way and pointing me to the the many on line and imbedded resources that are available on the Apple line up. The store has been remodeled due to COVID and doesn't look like an Apple store. I went to the store to return an online order, it was done quickly. But I noticed a big queue when I was leaving. They limit the number of people inside the store. Be prepared for wait times for walk-ins. For other services, one should have prior appointment. They have placed sanitizer stations in the entrance. There were A LOT of workers just walking around and I understand not all of them are techs but I think they need a better way of keeping to their scheduled appointments as well as dealing with unruly disrespectful customers. One of the Apple reps even overheard us wondering about the price of a laptop and he politely chimes in to clear up any confusion. Located in the 12 oaks mall, this store can be super busy. I had to get my battery changed on my iPhone and had to do it over two visits. First time we went it was because I was in the mall anyway, and wanted to see if I could do a walk in battery change. Normally they could accommodate, but they didn't have batteries in stock so I had to have it ordered. The second time I went in I had an appointment, the repair was to be done in 1.5 hours, but when I came back it wasn't done yet. I had to come back another 30 minutes later. It was just super busy, when on a Wednesday morning. The employees were moderately friendly. There's a lot of waiting around, but I was just glad that it was done. read more

This location always takes good care of us. They are usually fast, efficient, and friendly. We went in the other day for some ear pod issues. It was a weekend but they fit us in right away for an appointment and were able to resolve the issue in less than an hour that day. I have bought many phones, cases, and screen protectors here in the past. I will continue to purchase from this company as long as their service and products continue to be good quality. From the moment we walked into the 12 Oaks Apple store,we were respected and treated properly! Jazz helped me with my right Air pod that was not working. I had 6 days left in my one year warranty and she gave me a new one! She also showed me an awesome tripod for my iPhone 8+! I'm hoping for that for my birthday in February We always go to the 12 oaks or Briarwood store because they're always kind and helpful without fail! They're friendly and you're not just a number. I'm thankful that Jazz was there to help me because I really enjoyed getting the extra information about the Tripod. I want to add one more experience that day. They activated my phone to the wrong number on my account. I inquired about them switching it to the right number and they had management surround me and accused me of trying to steal a phone by having it switched to another line. The line they put it on was my dads. They suggested to solve the problem my dad and I switched phone numbers and then the associate took my phone and walked away. I own a business in Novi and have been with Verizon for two years now and this service on Verizon customer service line is awful. 833-837-4966 cannot get anyone who speaks English and one person never knows what the other one is doing. They received the equipment back which I confirmed with Verizon three times before the bill ever came due. Yet today here is the full amount being auto posted on my credit card. When I called to speak with someone again I am placed on hold and transferred to another rep without any warning and then this operator VI S. literally that is the name she gave hung up on me and again I was forced to call back and go through the whole process again. After several questions repeated again and again I was finally given a supervisor and Juliuis was his name and he confirms that they did in fact receive the equipment and he is not sure what happened that I still did not get the credit on the account. Then once he reviewed more he stated that the past operator from last month did not put the correct time range for the credit. He is now returning my overpayment. I have removed the autopay function from my account and explained that as a company I cannot afford to keep calling and hoping that they finally work the account correctly. I will be moving my accounts to another carrier as soon as possible. read more

A den of false promises and poor customer service. I usually bring in or recommend to many of the overseas workers from my company to this store to take care of them. On my last visit where I helped a co-worker buy a phone (I translated for her), I was told by a sales rep that my phone would be eligible for upgrade as long as I would pay for the small cosmetic repair covered under Apple Care. I go in today and I'm told by a different rep that I'll need to have the repair, which I agreed with, but the Genius Bar will have to clear it. I go to the Genius Bar and they tell me that the repair isn't covered under Apple Care and that I need to pay the full cost of replacement. The joke's on them, I don't need to replace the phone as it's purely cosmetic and doesn't effect the functionality of the phone whatsoever. What I do need to replace is Apple as the maker of my phone and possibly even laptop. Apple has never not honored something a rep has told me and I'm surprised that a manager wouldn't even come to explain it, but had to tell the worker as if they were afraid to tell me. I don't know as I was not part of that conversation, but this is a first for me. I've been an Apple loyalist since the 90s. What I do know is that I'll ride this iPhone until the wheels fall off then move on to a competitor since it is clear that Apple is no longer the company they once were nor do they want my business apparently. When an ex-pat from my company comes to the country, I will make sure that they buy ANYTHING except an iPhone. Newsflash Apple, I don't pay you for your technology as it's severely behind in terms of specifications. What I do pay you for is quality and service. Your service has gone down and the quality isn't worth the extra cost. Your premium is worth half for quality and half for service. Since the service is gone, I'll take the higher specs and roll the dice on quality. Let me make it clear, I have no problem paying for a repair or even just skipping the repair and upgrading the phone IF the rep had told me that from the start. However, they did not tell me that. Therefore, I am choosing to spend my cash elsewhere on the principle that Apple doesn't honor their word. It's like I leased the phone for nothing when I had a perfectly functioning phone before this, but was enticed by the leasing program. What a sucker's deal. 2 stars feels generous. I have all Apple products and reluctantly visit an Apple store once ever 10 years thankfully. I previously went to the Somerset store since I lived closer and remember the anxiety from how it was so busy. I made sure to book an appointment online. The store was busy as expected, it seemed like everyone waiting near the genius bar ( customers ) already seemed agitated. After checking in ( the guy with the iPad was not very friendly ) they told me to sit at a table. Someone helped me in about 5 minutes.. so not a bad wait at all. They were able to verify that my old macbook charger was indeed dead. I asked a question about my hard drive and the employee seemed annoyed that I did not know how to do something ( I am not a tech genius , just a geriatric millenial ) I decided to purchase a new one and there were no deals on it. They also were not thrilled that I brought in my dinosaur ipad from ages ago just to see if it worked. I paid for the charger and it was all done online, receipt emailed and not printed. The box was quite large and heavy so I flagged down an employee to ask for a bag. The employee acted like I was trying to steal something and begrudgingly gave me a bag. I am giving this store 2 stars as I overheard an employee helping an older couple with their phone and he was compassionate and patient. I ended up returning the charger a week later and bought it at Target cheaper. I will not return unless in dire need of something , hopefully another 10 years or more later . read more

I own Apple products, but have never been to the store. When my Mac Pro started going crazy, I made an appointment online via the GeniusBar. It was easy to reserve a 15 minute slot and I see why you have to reserve a spot. I walked into the Apple Store and felt like it was Black Friday. People everywhere. Standing room only and this was on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily, staff is plentiful and walking around to help. I was greeted by a person with an iPad, who guided me through the Apple maze to the correct line. I was late for my appointment, but she was kind and I was taken care of. For Genius Bar you check in for your appointment and are guided to a long area that looks like a bar (Hence Genius Bar!). I waited a few minutes for an Apple Tech person to come over and run diagnostics. Within an hour, I was out of the store and my Mac on the way to Mac Pro Off-Site Repair. It was out of warranty and cost $310 to repair and would take a week to return. I was disappointed in the timeframe for repairs, but what can you do when you own a Mac and aren't tech savvy. Apple Care would have been advisable at $349 for 3 years of coverage. I didn't get it because I assumed that Apple products would last the test of time or at least 3 years without repair. My gamble was wrong and I am out of some dough, but when you spend $2k+ on a laptop that is like your bestfriend and holds all your secrets, it's worth it to get repaired at the source. Tip: I suggest scheduling a Genius Bar appointment online if you value your time and sanity. They fill up quickly, but guarantee you won't be waiting an hour or more for assistance in store. read more

This store is a complete hectic mess! They could definitely benefit from some type of sign-in/number order system. People lined up along a wall in no particular order waiting for service as the greeter (obviously overwhelmed) tried to maintain order amongst customers, constantly apologizing for not being able to recall who arrived first. Despite the chaos, I ended up waiting only 10 minutes to be assisted. Patience is a must coming into this store, it will feel like an Xmas rush no matter the time of year. I cant really be peed @ the staff on site, they really make an effort to maintain a professional environment and presentation. Apple is hot and the staff really do well trying to keep up with the demand. Could Apple establish a more efficient system? Definitely...
