I came to Huntsville to work for four months. The apartment where I am staying referred me to Becky Parsons, a sales rep. She was very vague about my service options and only communicated via email. She sneakily tried to get me to sign a one year contract then raised the price of my service when I reminded her that I was here temporarily. She asked me for personal information via email; social security number. She charged me an activation fee and a setup up fee. And. .. Not until I was emailed my welcome packet, did I know that I would be paying a $7.00 per month equipment fee. She's definitely a swindler. read more

AT&T has been a nightmare to work with. After calling multiple times a day for over a month to get them to finish the install in my new home the technician never showed up for the 5th appointment. Customer service is contracted to an overseas office where they are not able to communicate due to a language barrier. I spend hours a days on the phone with them only to be hung up on, managers never call you back and overall the service is a joke. I have never had such horrible customer service and have had my cell phone with them for years only to be treated like dirt when attempting to add internet and cable. Save yourself the headache and go with someone who knows how to do their job! read more

I've been a customer of AT&T since April 3,2017. Since they connected me to their " great" fiber optic system they have had to come out and replace the residential gateway 3 times & ive had to wait on techs to come to my house 8-9 times to get system working again. Their wireless receivers cannot pick up a signal even when the device sending it the signal is on the other side of the wall, so they had to run a coax cable from the gateway to my home wired coax and install a wired receiver. So I guess you would call my setup an AT & T hybrid system. I get home today at 11:15 to find that neither of my TVs work. Just black screen. After a lengthy conversation with tech support???? For almost an hour they tell me the tv section of my service is out in my area and it could be 24-48 hours before the problem is resolved. When asked how much credit I would receive the tech told me $ 6.79!!!!!!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A T & T TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!!! Their in home techs are great but hey they can only do so much with a crappy system. I would change but other two systems in Athens are even worse. Can't go with Disg because guess who owns and runs them? A T & T! So here I sit screwed again. read more

Zero stars actually for AT&T u-verse. Initially signed up for 1,000Mbps download speed for gaming and the number of kids and electronics in the house. After several service calls, the last technician said no one is getting 1,000 Mbps and the highest he has seen is 350Mbps. So we dropped it down to 100 Mbps download speed and barely get 20Mbps on a good day. Fed up with AT&T and will be switching internet providers when our contract is up next month. Should have stayed with WoW and wish V3rizon serviced this area. read more

The customer service at AT&T is a joke. Choose them if you want to spend thirty minutes to an hour on hold and being passed around their representatives whenever they screw up or you TV or internet goes out. As far as quality, they don't offer the speeds on Internet that others do in this area, and it will have problems regularly. The TV has a great choice, but it has problems at least every other month. At some periods it would have problems every week. It goes in spurts. I won't do business with AT&T again, I will deal with companies that actually care about their customers, and I'll deal locally if possible. read more

AT&T is, without question, the most abhorrent scourge of miserable lying cockroaches in American business. They lied to get me to sign up, never delivered what they promised, and proceeded to fleece me for $1000's ... until I decided to walk away. Stuck em without paying my final bundled Direct TV bill ... kept the equipment... lied back to them about being deployed out of country... and went to Xfinity and Verizon. I had an appointment (yes an appointment I have the confirmation on my phone and screenshot from my account) to have my cable buried and my husband took off work to be home as we have 70 sprinklers in our yard and we wanted to make sure that they weren't cut. We stayed home ALL day and NO ONE came. This is even after we confirmed via chat with two separate CS reps that the tech was "on his way". The next morning two techs show up and start ditch witching my yard without even knocking on the door to let me know they were here. They caused damage to my sprinkler system and I immediately stopped them and told them to leave. Long story long, NO apology from ATT, they don't reach out to me, nothing. My husband lost a day of work and now has to take off again Friday to get this work complete. When I ask CS for some sort of credit to offset our inconvenience and lost wages, I'm told read my terms of service as ATT doesn't reimburse for that. Well I read my terms of service and it states we agree to arbitration to settle disputes. I guess that's where we're headed then if ATT can't even give me some sort of credit for THEIR mistake that cost us time, money and damage. In the meantime I will prepare a PowerPoint presentation of all the screenshots and information that we have had to deal with from this issue for my husband to add to his presentation to the 50-75 people he presents to EACH WEEK at Redstone Arsenal that consists of active duty members, contractors, and employees from every major defense contractor from all over the world to let them know how we've been treated by ATT. If we can get just one person to NOT use ATT, that will be equal to the credit I want to my account. Considering we are here for two more years, we should be able to reach TONS of potential customers. I'm also posting my ordeal to every social media outlet and am telling everyone I meet of our situation. I'm getting my credit one way or another. If CS had just reached out to us and offered us an amount equal to one month of service, I would feel differently towards what happened. But so far not even an apology. read more

Horrible customer service. I called the technician about a problem and complained about the high cost of my cable and Internet. She offered to save me money but actually signed me up for a three-month trial of a Latin package - hello, I don't speak Spanish! After the three month trial my bill would have gone up instead of down. She never mentioned that piece of information just tried to rip me off. Then today at technician was supposed to come out sometime between 11 and 1 PM. He showed up at 10, asked my 12-year-old a few questions then closed at his ticket saying everything was fine. When I called AT&T and told them that the guy showed up early without warning and everything is not OK. No one had even bother to call me about coming early or about the fact that I wasn't home when they checked in. they made me completely reschedule instead of sending someone out here at the time they were supposed to ride in the first place! I am beginning to understand why so many people are dropping table completely and just streaming everything they watch. It is time to get some smart TVs and drop the service completely it is not worth half of what I pay. read more

AT&T U-verse is good about taking care of the customers. You get 3 estimates in the mail about your bill. If it's not correct they can fix it. sometime people don't listen to the sale person.
