OK customer service. I come here with my mom since she has service with this carrier. She keeps having issues with her phone and I've recommended that she just switch carriers, but she's been with them for so long, thus reluctant to change. They're patient with her and answer all of her questions. My only 2 concerns, they play a lot of reggaeton music that plays kind of loud on the speakers in the store. The volume is distracting, especially for my mom who is a Senior. I actually turned the volume down because my mom kept complaining about it while we were waiting for someone to help her. And within a few minutes, someone turned it back up. I turned it down, and they turned it back up. Granted, these speakers are on display and meant to be checked out and touched, but I think it was obnoxious that they kept turning it up to satisfy their comfort and their sense of relaxation to the work environment, as opposed to viewing the experience from the paying customer lense. Each time we have been there, 3x in the past 6 months, reggaeton is playing which I can't understand so I can't determine whether the lyrics are clean or not. Also, the gentleman helping us kept fiddling with his cell personal cell phone in his pocket. He kept pulling it out and texting, and kept putting it back in his pocket. I thought it was unprofessional during an interaction with a paying customer. Location is good, but they have room to improve on to guarantee a more polished customer experience. read more

Negative experience upgrading phone. The sales rep continually pushed sales of various things in a way that was misleading. Asking to sign things on screens before being allowed to read them or walk through terms. And did not fully disclose fees until I asked why totals from an email I received did not match the cost of what she said. Finally, I told her that I did not want to add insurance because I didn't want to cancel it after the free 14 day term. She added it anyways as I found out from a welcome email. Am assuming everything else is fine, but the entire experience gave me scam vibes, which shouldn't be the case to a vendor you are spending thousands of dollars with for decades. Have strong concerns about the trustworthiness of at least this team member, and would consider looking elsewhere for your mobile/internet/cable needs. If going, make sure to review everything in detail, ask questions and stay on top of anything they try and sneak in. Would Iove to connect with the general manager. read more

A while back I came to the Clarendon AT&T store in a state of emergency; my iPhone had abruptly stopped working, and I needed a fix or replacement ASAP (w/in 48 hrs I was traveling for work). Fortunately, sales associate Mauricio saved the day; what a dude! He examined my non-working phone, discussed options, and provided advice, all so patiently and friendly. I will never forgive them for what they did to my Mother's phone line. They "permanently" disabled her number even though they said they'd work on it. I had purchased a portable hotspot from them and some idiot in store assigned her number to the hotspot device and apparently a hotspot device gets seven digits as well. They gave. That to my Mother's flip phone. Do you know how retarded you have to be to think a flip phone needs any data for call? There's nothing to look up on a flip phone! Nothing to stream! I haven't been back since, I've tried so many times to get the issue resolved and I'm happy I made the switch to Xfinity. DEFINITELY not good value. Choose a different carrier! read more

Very unsatisfied! Be careful when buying an Apple Watch from here! I went to purchase an Apple Watch and the salesman told me that I could save getting the "buy one get one free promotion". Nothing else was discussed about it except he mentioned not to pay off the watch until after 30 days. Now that I received my bill, I am being charged $153 more on my bill and was told by AT&T that I had to activate both watches and I will continue to have to pay for the service on both watches. Mind you the other watch is still in the box as a backup! I think that if you're going to sell something to someone, at least make the hidden scam that AT& T has known before they purchase instead of trapping someone into a contract! read more

Very disappointed. Employees don't know how to do their jobs. They messed up a lot of times, didn't send the orders for phones. Order was late for almost a month. Manager promised 150$ off for each line, plus credit for the inconvenience. Didn't get anything yet, 6 months later, came back to ask about that, waiting for 3 hours in the store for them to fix the problem. Plus, I forgot to mention, messed up our account too, in November we received a bill 500$ much more than we are supposed to be charged, came to the store it was their mistake too. This is huge disappointment, I usually don't like to write negative reviews but this is so frustrating. Arrogant unprofessional. read more

These people lie and attempt to hard sell you a Directv add on to your new plan when you try to change the plan, and refuse to change the plan without adding Directv. They also wanted a $17.50 "activation fee" to change my plan from a grandfathered data plan to the new unlimited offering. When I asked if that was policy they said it was, but I knew better as I had visited the web and two stores previously. I asked her pointblank why she cant change my plan and she said I had to do it on the web. I filed a formal complaint against this store and "Prinecess", who said she was the manager. Besides that I waited 20 minutes to be helped even though 3 employees are surfing their phones behind the desk. And the store is filthy, trash and debris all over the floor everywhere. If I could give zero stars, I would. The employees here don't care if you're waiting for TWO hours for help. Absolutely ZERO sense of customer care or service. I went here because I've been an AT&T customer for years, to get a new phone for WORK. The phone I wanted was not in stock, so I made an appointment to come back a week later, as the employee said he would order a phone for me in the model that I desired. I go a week later, the guy is not there for the appointment (he comes in 20 minutes late carrying his lunch), so another, female employee helps me. She kept on trying to tie in the new cell phone service with my existing personal line. I had to repeat to her numerous times I just wanted a separate, new number. She just would not understand that my personal number/account had nothing to do with the new phone I was trying to get for work. After two hours I got the phone, but when I get back to the office and later try to set it up, instead of a 202 area code number, she assigned me a 252, North Carolina number. I had made sure at the store that she give me a 202 area code number, and I confirmed it because I looked at her computer monitor to pick the number I wanted. When I went back the folllowing day to try to change it, and after waiting for another two hours, I was told I had to wait 30 days before I can change the number. She was not even apologetic about making me wait for two hours, or the fact that SHE made a mistake. She could have mentioned this fact when I first entered the store and briefly mentioned the issue to her, instead of making me wait TWO hours. If she has said sorry, I would be forgiving, but, this employee had ZERO contrition or any sense of owning up to her MISTAKE. Oh, and the other male employee that I first came into contact with, he acted like I was not even there. The female employee was earnest and was trying her best, but she did not know what she was doing, and kept on asking her colleague the male employee, how to proceed with tasks. And worst of all, her not saying sorry and admitting to her mistake is what makes me so angry (she was not rude, but she was uncaring and inattentive). Terrible, terrible customer service, and they all need to get trained more/better on helping customers, and making them feel welcomed. Now, thanks to the incompetence and utter lack of attention to customer service, I have a phone I can't really use for work for 30 days, because of the wrong area code, and this will seriously impact my work and also I'll be wasting money for paying the first month's service without actually being able to use to, you know, CALL people! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE, go to another AT&T location if you have to, or, just go to T-MOBILE or Verizon. This store sucks and has terrible customer service. STAY AWAY! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!! This review is actually for the AT&T call centre service but the Courthouse AT&T is where I got my plan in the first place. In person, these folks have excellent customer service. It is a small-business franchise and the owner and staff care about your business. Here's the thing. Why does any cellphone issue always take an hour or two out of my life? The plan I had is now out of date, someone else has to "grandfather it" which means I can keep my old rate but not add any new features. The new plans all want me to "share" with friends and family. Except I don't share. I am the solo AT&T user. After 75 minutes on the phone with Fred and Bob at AT&T I feel like we are old friends.. I know the weather in Youngstown, Ohio. They sounded genuinely aggrieved when they had to put me on hold for the 17th time and maybe, just maybe, somebody might find my lost deposit cheque. The thing is, I also have a Canadian cell phone plan. Rogers and Bell in Canada are every bit as excruciating in their transactions, every bit as mercurial in their plan changes, but they are also grouchy and often incomprehensible (I think Cdns tend to outsource their call centres to places far, far away). So, my vote goes to AT&T. They don't drop my calls. They put up with me, a foreigner, maintaining a US AT&T account from Canada. And I almost believe them when they tell me their stock line: "You're the best part of AT&T." read more

I never, ever thought I would review an AT&T store. Particularly not to proclaim how amazingly awesome it is. But this place COMPLETELY deserves it. My poor brother was mugged and assaulted recently, and because he had been knocked out and had a nice big gash on his head, he wasn't really in shape to go out to replace his stolen iPhone. I actually stopped by the Clarendon Apple store first, where they were nice, but couldn't really help much because he was a few weeks away from an upgrade eligibility and told me to head to AT&T directly. I went here and explained what had happened and why I was there to replace my brother's phone on his behalf. I had his passport and his social (and we share a last name), so although it's not their policy to let anyone but the account holder come in, they were able to help. The employee I explained the situation to was genuinely kind and immediately asked "First off, I'm so sorry; is he ok?" and then he went on to get his manager, since he himself was unable to handle it without a manager's approval. Her attitude was exactly the same--very caring, very understanding, very kind. They were SO, SO nice. I should have gotten the name of the employee and manager who helped me, but they were able to let me order a new phone on his account and also were able to upgrade the phone even though technically he was three weeks away from an upgrade. It was a completely positive experience, and they were patient and helpful and kind. I'm an AT&T customer, too, and I will DEFINITELY return to this location if I ever have an AT&T need. It's also a nice, spacious location in a good location near the metro. Seriously, give them some business! They really deserve it. read more

My boyfriend and I came here after he got a new iPhone 7 and he needed a tempered glass screen protector. It was a Saturday afternoon around 11:30/12. The store was pretty empty beside one other customer. We were greeted and immediately helped by an employee by the name of Tierra. She was kind, helpful, and very informative. She suggested various options for us and even showed us what those options would look like on her personal phones since she used the products herself. She took her time when applying the tempered glass to the phone and did an awesome application. She was also able to help me replace my tempered glass screen on my iPhone 6. AT&T gives a 1 year 1 time replacement warranty with the screen protectors. She replaced my screen even though my 1 year warranty expired 8 days beforehand. She made this process very easy. She was personable and even cracked a few jokes with us. Even though there is an AT&T right by my home; I would go back to this store because of the great service! read more

Walked into the store with a mildly complicated set of issues. Received an immediately unhelpful response from the greeter about why I can't do this or that. Finally passed off to a sales associate who does help me resolve half of the issues. Anyways, he actually gave me the wrong version of the phone I wanted, when I call back a few days later, I'm told that due to his error, they'll do me the "favor" of giving me the right phone, if I pay a $35 re-stocking fee! It's their error, they should give me the right phone without the fee. Anyways, I'd stay far, far away from this place if you need any assistance beyond just the standard contract/phone update. i never have had great A experience with AT&T. This particular time was not an exception to the rule either which really does kind of suck. My phone got a virus. A really bad virus that couldn't be fixed within the store. I ended up talking to one of the associates who really didn't do much at all except glance at it and told me that I would need to go to the on-site tech store in Chantilly or Woodbridge to repair or replace it. I understand that these people look at phones everyday, and if something cannot be helped in store that is understood too. The 3 star rating is the demeanor of the associate. They were kind of cold and out of it. Maybe they had a long day? I am not sure. Either way, I feel even if you're not in the best of mood, you still should try attempt to put on a happy persona. I am already stressed out about my phone which I just got in September, I don't need a negative attitude to add to it. Word of advice when you go to this store: Make sure you brace yourself for people who do not particularly love their job and show it on their sleeve. read more

Very diseappointed by the service. I decided to switch from T mobile to ATT. So I went in that store. I entered my contact details several times in the ATT application including my Social Security number. SSN number was masked by the application. I had to enter 4 times my Social number and that was ok. The ATT guy started chatting through the apps with the ATT department. Then I was asked to enter my full Social security number in the chat unmasked. No explanation, I did not understand why as I already entered that number 4 times in the apps. I refused to enter my SSN in a chat unmasked without any consideration for the Privacy of such data. At that point I was strongly invited to leave the store. All in all I lost more that 1 hour whereas I was tokd by the ATT guy it was very quick to make the switch. Poor customer service read more

This is my go-to store for AT&T. I despise working with AT&T's online and telephone customer service, but I love working with these guys. Kindell in particular is a wonderful and very knowledgeable representative, and I know I can always depend on him and his manager to make the insanity of AT&T better. I can tell you I was NOT looking forward to my trip to the AT& T store. It was the second AT&T store of the day and I was pressed for time. I had already visited the Friendship Heights store and I walked away empty handed because they sold out of the IPhone5. The reason for my visit was to get rid of my Samsung (stupid move my part) and return to my beloved IPhone. I called the store and spoke to Vershaun to make sure that I could go forward with my transaction. Well, nothing is easy in the world of technology BUT this was. I had the VERY best experience I've ever had. Anna, the store manager was understanding and terrific. She handled the whole process with Vershaun and they treated me like a QUEEN. We insisted he check the back and behold there were plenty....Because we were upgrading our phones he wasn't interested in helping us because he didn't make a sale. Really shady. Main thing I would say about this store is call ahead to check on the wait. It can get really busy sometimes because of its location. I've been twice recently. One time it was completely empty, the other time it was about a 1 hour wait. Combination of them being a bit understaffed and it being busy. I had planned on giving them 2-3 stars due to the wait, until I was helped by their associate Danielle. She's helped me twice, and both times has been leaps and bounds ahead of anyone I've ever dealt with at AT&T. She was extremely knowledgeable, fast, efficient, and friendly. Primarily though I think her strong point is she knows what she is talking about, which sometimes is a little rare from AT&T customer service. Why is it impossible to buy a simple phone accessory without having to wait 20-30 minutes?

I had a long relationship with Sprint and the ending was not pretty. Horrible customer service and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Crossed the street to AT&T and was immediately impressed. First, their customer service was fantastic. We were helped by Tierra who was knowledgeable, patient, smart and understanding of our needs. Can't say enough nice things about her. Now I have phones for my whole family, and also the tv service for the whole house. I did have a follow up visit and we were helped by a woman named Princess. She too was fantastic. So now I believe someone there has set the bar very high for their employees. They are friendly, courteous and very helpful. That alone is worth the switch, but I have to say I'm a fan of the Network as well. So glad I made the switch. Hope this review helps. Cheers! read more

Very ill informed store. My father ordered himself a phone and had my husband, an authorized user, pick it up. Even says on receipt they emailed to my dad that an authorized user can pickup. Go there and guy says he can't pick up. Have done this before when my dad got me a phone for my birthday and had no problems. Came in on a Saturday expecting their to be a long line and anticipating having to wait awhile. However they had plenty of employees working and I was helped as soon as I walked in the door. I was upgrading my phone and the employee helping me was very informative and explained everything really well. I also bought the screen protector and case while I was there. The employee assembled everything for me and made sure all of my information transferred correctly. I will definitely go back to this location if I ever need to upgrade again. First, let's say I am a bit of a cell phone geek. Had all the iPhone versions and also buy unlocked versions of Android phone from Europe to test the waters. I also read numerous cell phone blogs and news websites. I infrequently come to any AT&T stores because I can typically do it all myself, but during those off times... I make sure I visit the Wilson Blvd store. The employees are very knowledge are very responsive to me questions and quirky requests. When i overhear other customers, quickly answer those questions and most importantly correctly. If you need straight answers from AT&T, come to this location. read more
