I'll be honest, I never write reviews but I thought it was important to write this one. With the world being topsy tirvy, getting a new phone is not in the forefront of people's minds right now. I, am an idiot and dropped my phone. This location is one of the few places that you are able to still get a phone from. This post is to say how wonderful Yves is. He is the only one manning the store, and he is so so so very patient. Not everything went according to plan when I got my phone (life happens, not Yves's fault). He was amazing and worked with me to get everything set up correctly. He deserves so much praise and recognition for what he is doing and how well he is handling everything. Last night I went into Wireless Zone for a simple phone upgrade after mine croaked. The easy request turned into a lengthy ordeal because of a mistake on behalf of Verizon (it's important to separate your frustrations with corporate Verizon from small business Wireless Zone, who are middlemen often fighting on behalf of their customers). Mohammed worked with us and for us for 4.5 hours on a Friday night and remained on the phone with Verizon HQ insisting on figuring out our issue for 3 hours after the store closed. Mohammed stuck with us, gave up his Friday night, and in the end we succeeded in upgrading the phone. I cannot think of the last time I've gotten such dedicated and helpful customer service. If you're in need, these guys have to be your first stop. read more

I rarely write reviews, and they are typically negative. That is not the case here. This experience could not have been better. I came into the store on a Saturday afternoon, and the two gentlemen were already working with customers. They made sure to let me know how long I should expect to wait, and started my process as early as possible by telling me what information I was going to need to get started. As far as when it came time for me to be helped, Mohammed was very courteous and explained my options very well, walking me through everything available to me. 10/10 would recommend this store to a friend. Applause and high praise for Ebony and Tarek on Tuesday 11/11/2014 The SIM card was stolen from my iPhone on Sunday, disabling many phone features. I visited them in a panic on Tuesday morning before my long drive from VA to SC. They replaced the SIM card, answered my many questions, waited patiently while I restored the latest backup to my phone all while waiting on multiple customers. Came here in hopes of getting my phone fixed, but ended up having to get a new one. Ajay was SUPER helpful and answered all the questions I had about the different new phones and process to switch over my information. He also clearly outlined the costs expected of me that day, as well as how my bill would change in the future. He was really friendly and told me to come back anytime if I needed further help! The staff in this store are fantastic, but despite their very best efforts our first attempts at opening an account with Verizon Wireless were not at all good. We spent 4 hours in the store trying to create a new account with 2 lines. No amount of tech support calls between the store and Verizon Wireless could fix the underlying problem that none of the SIM cards available in the store could be activated to work properly with our phones. After 4 hours of anguish the store was closing, so we arranged a time to return the following day. Thankfully this session was much more productive! Both the manager and owner were on hand to apologise for the delays and inconvenience we had already experienced, and worked quickly to get our 2 new lines operating with new SIM cards. We now have our new lines working, and received a partial refund and free case in compensation for the inconvenience caused. In summary, the staff in this store are excellent and the management worked hard to resolve this issue once it was identified. read more

Warning! Don't get your phone here, a REAL Verizon store or the Verizon site can give you better deals. I upgraded to a Samsung phone at this location. The sign said $199 but it was actually $250 and in 6 weeks they send me a $50 visa gift card. I mentioned to the sales woman that it seemed misleading, and she said it wasn't misleading and I should "walk over to see the fine print." If you find that you are telling customers to read the fine print, you are being misleading, and you need a new sign. The sign should read "$249 +$50 gift card" After I got back to the office, I went on the Verizon site and they had the same phone for $199, no funny business about the gift card. I would go back and return the phone but frankly but the woman was rude and (and I feel bad for saying this) had really bad breath, so I just can't deal with her anymore. read more

After being unable to utilize an upgrade on our family plan at the Apple store up the street, we were relieved to find a Verizon store nearby. At first we thought this might not be a "full service" Verizon outpost, but Sadik assured us that it was. We were able to get a brand new iphone7 in stock using an upgrade on our family plan, as well as save over $100 per month with some modifications to our current plan that Sadik found for us. It was a great experience and we will certainly come back to this location the next time we need to visit the Verizon store. Sadik was very knowledgeable and friendly, and even allowed our dog to come inside. It's nice to support a small business owner in the area! read more

I purchased an auxiliary cord (overpriced at $14.99) at the Wireless store in Arlington's Courthouse neighborhood, and as soon as I returned to my desk I had second thoughts about my purchase and decided to make a return. I stop by two days later and the manager and salesperson were very obnoxious, asking why I was returning an item with the packaging/tape still intact and untouched (um, because I can pick up any auxiliary cord for $4-5 at a retail store--not that it's any of their business), charging a 20% restocking fee for an unopened box with receipt (the receipt states that the restocking fee is for wireless devices--since when is an aux cord a 'wireless device'?) and generally displaying poor customer service (checking over the box multiple times in front of a customer to see if it has been opened, etc.). During my visits here I have seen the store sparsely populated (I was the only customer), and I see why they were disappointed in those who decide to make returns when business is not bustling. Nevertheless, consumers are allowed to return a product that is found elsewhere for a better price and the 20% restocking fee on unopened items was a shady move on their part. I may have stopped in her for just a cord, but my negative experience ensures that I will not return for a phone/other electronics purchase. Not recommended, and I'm lucky that I only lost out on $3. read more

Poor service, rude staff, didn't have the latest new phone I was looking for (nexus).

My wife and I were due for an upgrade so we went in last Saturday. I was worried we would spend all day waiting but Ajay helped us right away. He didn't push the most expensive phone on us and reviewed our account and found us two monthly discounts. He helped us make sure we didn't lose any info and even put the protective screen on our new phones. He walked us through everything on our new phone. He was really helpful...by far best experience I've had at a cell store. This franchise is slimy, and they tried to boost my cost claiming my trade-in phone had damage, which was so minor as to not even be visible! Dropped by phone off the 6th floor balcony, surprisingly it still worked. Still needed a new phone, so I showed up at opening, 10:00AM. Ebony could not have been more gracious, personable, professional and efficient. It took a long time to download my "stuff", do passwords etc. and she was able to handle two customers at once, which was fine with all of us. Anyway, a deranged woman came in demanding service, yelling, insulting and all the rest. Ebony handled it wonderfully and at our urging the police came and took the woman away to the help she needed. Whatever you're paying Ebony it's not enough. In these days of iffy customer service, she's a gem you won't want to lose. I spent $700 and 3 hours there through a lot of drama, but Ebony still made it pleasant. read more

After a shitty day, I dropped my phone on the pavement. Cracked in a million pieces. Luckily I remembered A.) I was past due for an upgrade & B.) I passed by a Verizon Store on my way home from the metro. SWEET! When I walked in I was surprised to see it wasn't an actual Verizon store, but when I learned it was an authorized retailer, I became more reassured. That reassurance was short lived because I received the worst service...or lack thereof. The guys in there barely greeted me, and didn't asked what I needed for ten minutes. They didn't even offer me a seat, I had clearly just come from work...holding my gym bag and lunch bag. The young guy in there proceeds to flirt with the girl he's checking out instead of trying to hurry up and tend to me. Ending up waiting forever, after 30 minutes I had enough and left. I understand it gets busy, but it's common practice to apologize to customers for the wait, assure them you will be with them shortly, and make them comfortable as possible while you wait. Maybe it was because I'm black- but they treated me like trash. I will never go here again. Avoid it if you can- especially if you're black! read more

I had a totally awesome experience here solely due to Tariq who was fabulously helpful. I came in looking for a sim card for a phone I'd just gotten, but I actually needed help with a couple other things and Tariq came through on everything - he helped me find a more cost-effective plan that increased my minutes while decreasing my bill. And when I bought a screen protector, he insisted on putting it on the phone for me. He was so meticulous in removing every piece of dust before applying. It was just so nice, and there was no need for him to go through all of that trouble. This is a great store and I can't recommend it highly enough. read more

I went in because I had made 3 previous visits to my Verizon office in Reston where they had not solved the problem with my Blackberry. Ajay not only got me out of my Blackberry comfort zone and into an iphone, he spent hours of time trying to clear up a problem we were having setting up the e-mail function AND showed me how to use the phone. Man, Verizon employees aren't any nicer to other Verizon employees and he kept getting the runaround, but he stayed with me on this and finally got the problem solved and completed my new phone setup. I couldn't have had better customer service and what could have been an experience in Phone Hell was not. I'll take my service to them rather than deal with my local store. read more

This place amazed me with it's rudeness to customers. I could tell you many stories from what I saw in my one visit there on Saturday. But I'll just tell you two. 1. A customer had to take a call from her sick relative while trying to get some service there, yet the "customer service" rep kept barking at her while she was on the phone, asking for her phone number, and last four of her SSN, when clearly the customer was distracted by her personal matter that had to be dealt with. The customer had explained that she needed a minute to resolve a family issue with a sick relative. That rep was so beyond rude, I didn't know what to make of it. She reminded me of the kind of person that would abuse someone in a retirement home. 2. Another woman customer came in complaining that her car charger for her phone, which she had bought there 5 days ago, had broken. The connector had come apart from the device--the banana plug part. The other more experienced support rep told her that it was damaged, "physical damage" so the customer could only get a discounted replacement, not a full replacement. The customer balked. She'd only bought it 5 days ago. The rep went into a very nonsensical recitation of how if the item had stopped charging, they would replace it without it cost, but since the banana plug had fallen out, it was suddenly "physical damage" which they would not treat as a full replacement. Sheesh. I wondered why these customers didn't just walk out swearing and never come back. Oh wait, they probably went there because they have contracts with Verizon and feel compelled to go to their store. Maybe that's why customer support can abuse them so badly: customers feel they can't just walk away from Verizon and the customer support know that. But customers CAN walk away from this store and never return to it. Ladies, people, there are other stores in this area, and even Amazon.com sells the items you might buy there, if you are getting accessories. The customer service at this place is beyond Monty Python weirdness in it's abuse and disrespect for it's clientele. This store doesn't give a hoot that you are a Verizon customer or their customer. I was shocked to see customers treated so badly there. Eye opener for me. It was like candid camera, I was waiting for someone to tell us it was a joke. It was not a joke, the service is just that bad there. Good luck in Courthouse you guys. Avoid that store and go to another store or to the internet for your accessories. I thought a lot less of Verizon and it's affiliates after this experience. read more

We went in on Friday night to get my account added to my boyfriend's. After three attempts to do this online, we finally bit the bullet and just went in. Mohammed was very helpful and sat on hold for us while Sadik and Ajay made the experience far less annoying for my boyfriend. The whole process was over in a short time that was made much more pleasurable from excellent customer service. They were very helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient! I had just upgraded my iPhone 5 to 6s . The whole transistion was a great experience with Sadik and Tareck . They were both very friendly and supportive with this process. Sadik tried to give me the best option for my phone plan . Tareck helped me transfer my old data to the new phone and even placed the ballistic glass on my new phone after I had purchased it at thier store. He did a very professional job on the placement.
