I am posting this review so others can make an informed decision before choosing AT&T. Over the past four months in Atlanta, my experience with AT&T has involved account setup errors, duplicate accounts, improper service disconnections, restoration fees despite payment, and ultimately the loss of phone service during an emergency. I was enrolled in FirstNet after being told in-store that I qualified based on my profession. Months later, I was told I did not qualify and needed to re-verify. While on the phone attempting to resolve that issue and switch to a standard plan, I was involved in a car accident. I informed the representative that I needed to call 911 and was told my service was being switched and that I could make the call. After calling 911, my phone service was completely disconnected. I could not call my family. I could not access GPS. Police were unable to reach me when they attempted to call back. I was left waiting for hours because AT&T had shut off the service I pay for--during an active emergency. Separate from that incident, my internet account was set up incorrectly with a mistyped email address, creating a second account without my knowledge. This led to a service shutoff for "nonpayment" even though I had paid and had credits on my account. I was charged a $40 restoration fee and have yet to receive that back. Despite multiple assurances that my accounts were merged, I continue to experience confusion within AT&T's system. The issue here is not inconvenience. It is reliability and safety. A mobile carrier should not disconnect a customer mid-resolution, especially during a 911 situation. If you choose AT&T, verify your account setup carefully, confirm plan eligibility in writing, and monitor your billing closely. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend AT&T. read more

Darius helped me a lot. Very patient, and didn't run any schemes. I came in for a two new lines, one for a paid off phone and I was looking to buy another line for my work phone. I initially wanted the samsung zfold 4 but Darius carefully walked me through pricing and helped me understand it was out of my budget. He gave me space and time to figure out what I truly wanted. (Something most salespeople fail to do, as they just try to guide you into an easy sale for themselves), upon my return, we settled for the Galaxy S21. I visited the Toco Hills store and was the only customer . I'd ordered a new phone online and needed help to determine use and coordination with my other phones . After a few short minutes with one of the reps (the other one was watching the Olympics and did not acknowledge my presence) I realized that this ATT store is only a sales outlet (they all are) and that I wasn't going to get any help with my phone or my account . The rep who helped did attempt to clear my new phone to original condition but that later turned into an hour and half discussion with ATT rep on the phone because she disabled the phone but not the ATT line ...... this is just pitiful y'all . Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life. Went in there today because I was told by corporate ATT over the phone to return my device there in person. The 5 employees (including the very rude manager) were lounging around and watching Avengers. They told me first that there would be a $55 restocking fee then that I couldn't return my device to them but had to mail it in. I told them, no I talked to corporate and I know that's not the case. They offered to "show" me how to return my phone and said I'd be charged $800 otherwise. I started crying and they walked away, ignoring me. This weekend I had the pleasure in a very unfortunate situation to enter this location... Though my situation was very unfortunate the team here at the Atlantic Station store made it very bearable they tried every effort to assist me to right the wrong that happened. The team of Jamie... Leon... Natasha and Tracy were absolutely amazing and very accommodating. They worked their due diligence in order to get to the bottom of the situation and though it was a very long and frustrating day they made sure every effort was attempted to get me the product that I had come for originally. I just want to give them kudos and also thanks for treating me with such kindness... patience and upmost concern... absolutely stellar customer service!! I came in asking for an Ipad Air Pro13 inch 2024 256 GB. I was initally going to order it online but will be out of town and it only offered delivery so I decided to come here to pickup. I wasn't greeted until after sitting there for a few mins. After I saw one of the agents were free I walked up to the man (dreads with a bun) and informed him of what I was seeking -- he mumbled something while stating what I said and I asked what did he say and he just shook his head. He had no sense of urgency, non communicative at all. First he of course asked all the info on how to get into the account and after that I had to ask him where we were in the process just sitting dead silent with no updates or anything. I even tried initating conversation about getting other accessories for it. He had no customer service at all. After we went though everything for the purchase - him calling at&t for my identity verification and everything he came out with $133 as opposed to the $73 I was getting online for upfront fees. I informed him the only reason I came in is because I'm flying out and didn't want this ipad sitting at my door and I would've preferred to pick it up but given that it was well over that I would just wait. He responded back with well "go ahead and pick it up then" and told me to swipe my card. I said I'll just wait until I come back from my trip and order it delivery atp. He then said "You really just had me call these people?" I said well I didn't know it was $133! Like he literally gave no updates about anything didn't even tell me what color ipads they had or anything just brought one out and expected me just to get it. Overall he could care less about the customer service at all - acted as if I was demanding yet didn't communicate anything and got upset that I wasn't buying it after this horrible experience and basically being rude and mumbling shit about me in my face when I requested the item. I have to say... The quality & the expeditiousness of my service were superb. I don't know the name of the tall caramel drink of water that was so professional and accurate while providing my service, but #YES. I was out of town, and working remotely, when #boom... Phone problems! I could not believe it! Not only was this costing me valuable time on the job & accosting my attendance record, but it was a bit of a drive too. Boy oh boy, was I excited to be in a busy area (official / corporate looking location) that was not slammed with out of control wait times. I was greeted promptly (as expected). But, service was so informative (I had no idea what I was talking about / rare). Then, I was out of there with my product in hand so quickly. Maybe, ATL does it better than the Chi, but You may have redeemed my horrible experience in July. Sometimes they just make you feel so used, juiced milked dry, & irrelevant at the same time. I see that my husband and I are not alone in the mistreatment given by these so called AT&T employees. The women that were working at this location today need to be fired. Here is what happened: The worst experience I have ever had in a retail situation. Absolutely the rudest most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. I bought two iPhones from them at the same time a 256gb iPhone XS $1150 and a 64 Gb IPhone XR $650 and a $50 phone case. $1850.  A few minutes after leaving the store the iPhone XS starts acting strangely won't connect to the internet and shuts off and wouldn't turn on. I finally got it back on after holding the power button for about 10 minutes.  I immediately returned to the store to tell them the situation and to get a replacement that works as it should.  These people that work here We're the rudest, most arrogant, condescending people I've ever met.  First they tried to tell me there was nothing they could do. Then after getting agitated and telling them I'm not leaving until they give me a phone that works like it should I'm not asking for a refund just a proper phone. They told me I could exchange it for a $45 fee. Or take it to the apple store 30 miles away.  I'm not doing any of this because I just paid $1150 for this phone 30 minutes before. Jazma the sales lady tells me she'll have to get her manager.    I say "yes get her please".    She says "ok"and just sits there  and continues to do what she's doing. I'm sitting waiting kind of in shock about what's going on. After about 5 minutes I'm like can you get the manage Please. She says I'm with a customer you'll have to wait.     "I'm your customer Too" I respond. How long could it take to walk to the back and get your boss to come up front.  Considering I just bought Two phones from jazma not even 30 minutes before).    I guess asking her to get off her chair and go to the back to get the manager was a huge inconvenience because she rolls her eyes and lets out an agonizing childish moan.  heaven forbid she has to leave her chair and take a few steps to help a customer.    After about 20 minutes the manager finally comes out and basically tells me I'm sh!t out of luck there is nothing she can do. I'm stuck with the $1150 defective phone that won't connect to the net or stay on. The phone shuts off on its own again and I hand it to another employee she turns it back on. The manager then tells me to prove that it's defective or I'll have to pay a $45 restocking fee. She's basically calling me a liar because I can't get the phone to to shut off on it's own again. I'm pretty frustrated at this point the there are 3 rude ass lady's are all standing around talking over each other telling me I have to prove that my phone is defective to get a replacement.  Like I'm im somehow trying to take advantage of them. (Really I just want a phone that works) anyways after a few minutes of me not being able to get the phone to randomly shuts off. One of the employees tells me she's calling the police. SHES CALLING THE POLICE BECAUSE I BOUGHT A DEFECTIVE PHONE AND THEY WONT REPLACE IT. anyways I don't have time for these low lives and there petty power trips. so I leave. I call 611 they tell me the manager has no right to try to make me prove anything. I just bought the phone a few minutes before if I'm saying there is something wrong with it they should just replace it. I  go to the apple store they run diagnostics my phone is in fact defective and they give me a replacement and agree that, I have just gone through an absolutely ridiculous situation. I'd suggest you stay away from this store. I've been an AT&T Customer since I ever bought my first cell phone eons ago and I've had plenty of ups and downs in-store, on the phone, with devices, billing, etc. I wasn't exactly thrilled about the idea of going to yet another store, but I had to get it done. While traveling, my wife lost her phone and I was hoping to replace it for her and surprise her with a new iPhone 5c and I was also hoping for a smooth and painless experience. Good news -- Everything checked out here. I made an appointment via the AT&T app for 1pm, but decided to head to Atlantic Station a bit early. I walked in the front door and was greeted immediately by a kind associate with an iPad. I told her about my situation and my currently standing appointment and her words were, "Oh, no worries at all. Let's take care of that right now." SCORE. We sat down, she asked me a bit about what I wanted to do, and then she was in motion. She went to the back, grabbed a brand new, yellow, iPhone 5c and began setting it up. She fired up everything, we started the backup on the phone, and it took about 10 minutes until I was ready to walk out the door. Simple, painless, and easily the best experience I've had as an AT&T customer ever. I really appreciated how conversational she was. She made me feel welcome for coming in and kept the situation light. Also, the process was much smoother that I remember. Rather reminiscent of going to the Apple Store where there aren't your traditional registers or check-out counters -- just associates with iPads. Really dig that. I'm glad that this location is here. Pro Tip: If you are an AT&T customer, make sure you head to a corporate store, like this one, instead of a licenses retailer. Atlanta U-verse TV and internet service U-vserse is soooooo bad that AT&T doesn't even show up as a provider in Yelp. OMG - SAVE yourselves!!! AVOID U-verse. I signed up for 18mb web download with Uverse 300 (TV). When my contract is up, I'm canceling them. It really doesn't save you more than $5/mo and their equipment constantly breaks down. I've had sooo many down days and then they become projects until it takes 4 - 6 techs to come to my house to fix. My life revolves around their schedule. They always blame the equipment....why don't they buy better equipment then? I think their infrastructure is just messed up...I live inside 285 and while the techs try, they don't care if they waste customers' time. Also I DREAD calling their tech support call center. The IVR (computerized) decision routing program is crappy, takes 3 - 10 minutes to figure out where to route you, then you have to wait often more than 20 minutes for their down (no) service, then when you finally get a human being, they ask you zillion questions that have NOTHING to do with fixing the problem. Their protocol is SIMPLY AWFUL. oh ya, they cannot fix the problem 9 out of 10 times and will send a tech out to your house...this lovely experience takes 45 - 60 minutes every time. They broke me and simply cannot understand how this company is still in business. Seriously, this is not one off - I've literally had over 30 calls with them. Terrible service. Went in for an upgrade where I was introduced to someone who grunted when told what service I needed (I know you get lower commission for upgrades rather than prepaid, or maybe you just didn't hit your count for the month). He proceeded to try to get me to tell my father about all of these add ons to increase the bill & his associated commission check of course. I told him no and he had an attitude since. I came in for a 14, where there are AMPLE in stock online, waited an hour, for him to walk slowly and continuously check the back. He finally came out with a white 13. Yes that's not a typo, and tried to sell me on a 13 when I made it clear I wanted a 14. Why would I upgrade and not go to the latest phone? After returning that and waiting another amount of time at the table, he comes back to let me know it can be shipped to me... if the phone was not in stock at the store 1) why is online lying? 2) why did you waste an hour of my life to tell me this and get mad when I tell you no to additional services? Everything in Atlantic Station seems to have been kicked up a notch of late, and the AT&T retail store here is no exception. Brilliantly organized, with "Miss D" as the gatekeeper at the door assigning customers to their appropriate reps, and then opening accessory bins or other needed locked areas. Jasmine gave me a great feeling of southern hospitality, sorted out my corporate purchases versus personal ones, and sent me on my way in under 20 minutes. Accessories like Bluetooth headsets are still about 40% higher than if you were to look online, but the convenience factor comes into play here. Great customer service, marvelously efficient, and just generally a pleasure to transact business at, I'll be back for whatever I need while in Atlanta. read more

The store itself seems to run fine , but two things bother me. #1. You sine in with the rep typing it all into a computer and are not given any printout of what the rep just promised you for what you just sined up for. So should there be a problem later as to what they said or terms, you have nothing to show for it. A competitor did the same thing to me, and the terms were not what they quoted. Seems to be a trend in the industry. #2. The service isnt what they say it is!!! I went in to CANCEL my ATT DSL. To retain me they promise the new and wonderful U verse internet. My DSL wasnt working much...on off on off....they said oh this is fiber optic and a whole new improved system. I decided ok, well I will try it. So rather than cancel ATT, I cancel the ATT DSL and sine up for this new ATT U verse. It works a short time, but never that well, then quits. I call the help line DAILY for days and try all these things but nothing ever works. They tell me from the Phillippine call center the problem is INSIDE my unit. I agree for a rep to come to my place. I set a date and the first guy showed as agreed, but couldnt fix the problem. He said the outside line is the issue, OUTSIDE my living area. He says the outside line folks will call you today and set up an appointment. Well no call for days and when he finally came he went to the same old phone box thats over 30 years old, tightened a screw, nothing changed and told me the MAX I could EVER get here in my building was 5.3 Mbps yet the ATT office sined me up for a 12Mbps plan. Not only that he said that the Uverse internet is nothing any different than the old Bellsouth/ATT DSL!!! They sold me what I went in to cancel under a new name promoting it as if its something new! He did say that the Uverse TV is indeed a new and fast product and totally different than the internet service with the same name. So I still need to reach billing during their limited business hours and try to get my plan adjusted to what I really get. (when I get internet). He said my area "box" is 8/10 of a mile from my house and my area isnt able to get fast DSL. This is midtown Atlanta by Colony Square! If intown can not get fast DSL can you?? The ATT website when I typed in my address and unit # did say I can get it, but it is WRONG! ------------------------ Update Dec 2012---2 repairmen came...first one said nothing can be found, the second was sent as the first felt it might be something he couldnt handle. The second one says its got to be your inside line. Well I have had my inside line checked many times and they all say its something else. The new AT&T Next program is basically financing your phone for new phone. You end up paying more over the monthly installments than if you purchase the phone up front in the store. This is not a good deal. You are better off buying the phone and selling it online in 1 year if you really need a new device every 12 months. This store did not do a good job of explaining what you will be responsible for with this plan. I had a very poor experience when trying to replace my broken phone and was led to believe all I had to pay for was the tax to purchase a new phone. A few days later there was an extra $25 on my statement that would be a monthly charge for 18 months. Make sure you know what you are signing for on those sneaky little iPad contracts! read more

Never go to this store if you want to get good service. We were there for 3.5 hours just to get a new phone. The store manager Kimberly Powell should be fired immediately. She was rude, lazy and offered no help. She also showed up 3 hours late for work and went on lunch break after sitting and doing nothing for 30 min. I came to the store last night for two reasons and left with both unresolved. I purchased a lifeproof case two weeks ago right before leaving the country, and the salesperson who sold it to me said to make sure it was waterproof. She said that I could return it to the store for a new one if the case leaked any water. After doing the test, it leaked slightly and I waited until coming back into the country to go back to the store. I was not informed upon purchasing the case that I had to bring it back within one week. If I knew that, I wouldn't have purchased the case until I came back. The salesperson Darshana Shah was informed that I would be out of the country for more than one week, and she didn't inform me of the policy to return the case. While I was out of the country, I used data and was informed that my data usage was high. When I called their international data number, I couldn't provide all of the information needed to purchase a data plan because I'm on a family plan and I didn't have the primary account holder's last 4 digits to her SSN. However, I was assured that I could work out a plan upon my arrival to the States. When I arrived to the store, they said they could do nothing for me. When I spoke to someone on the phone, they helped me choose a data plan in 5 minutes and told me that the store misinformed me. My experience was very negative. They wouldn't try to assist me in any way. read more

Lies, lies and more lies. Kelly and I were sold on a bill of goods that was too good to be true. Now, the employee who we thought at the time was the greatest retail phone service rep in existence, no longer works with the company. We were lied to regarding switching from one phone service to another. We were considering moving to Verizon and the AT&T deal is what sealed the deal for us. Unfortunately, the deal was total BS. Now, 2 months later, we are still dealing with the problem created from the lies. I have spent hours and hours going to and from the store, on the phone with customer service etc. Finally, someone in customer service is trying to help us. However, when a store just apologizes for what their employee did and can do nothing to fix how you were screwed, makes it a store where I will not be doing business. Apparently, it is ok for employees to lie to get you to use their service. Shout out to Cece for lying to our faces and then 'becoming a teacher.' Our youth has a bright future. I just came in here today because my boyfriends phone got stolen and we didn't have insurance on it so we went in to replace it and angel did an amazing job with helping us, he was able to get us a new one right away and even put insurance on all of our phones and was able to recover the old number of the phone that got stolen and was patient with us. If I'm ever back in Atlanta I would definitely recommend going to give him a visit! read more

I hate to post this on a random store but I cannot locate the headquarters on yelp.. I am a 28 year old homeowner, college grad, and disabled U.S Army veteran that had the unfortunate experience of signing up with AT&T Uverse and Wifi after my family had been customers for 20 years. They have since lost ALL of our business. Why? Because at day 1 of our contract thru the entire first month our service did not work. After 4.. FOUR boxes it finally worked. We were patient. THEN, a bill for an unreturned box appeared for $168. This is when things really snowballed.. This bill suddenly turned into $381... we called relentlessly to remedy this. One day, an agent by the name of Christian agreed to CREDIT (not reverse payment) our bill for the $381 for our CONSTANT troubles. I asked if this would EVER come back, and he assured us it would not. Well, this bill reappered for another month or so until we got sick of it and cancelled. NO ONE would help. During which we were assured we would not incur an early termination fee. Since then our bill has risen to over $700, to inlcude the missing box their technician 'lost" and a termination fee.. Unbelievable, right? I have PERFECT credit and now I'm being harassed by collections. I reached out to the BBB and a man by the name of Timothy Amey from the Office of the President at At&T called me to discuss this matter. Not only did he refuse to fix the matter but he - like every other employee - straight up REFUSED to provide the audio transcripts of the phone conversation with his agent proving that he credited the bill. They are hiding the evidence of my claim since listening to it themselves. Timothy refused any responsibility after agreeing with me that it was wrong and had the NERVE to say that I needed to pay for the services I "enjoyed"... I didn't enjoy a single day Timothy, in fact it was all hell. Now this Christian kid still has a job while I take a hit to my perfect credit. Xfinity has since been a MILLION times better and more receptive. You've been warned people. Avoid taking a hit to your credit and the financial and mental angst that comes with At&t. Not a military friendly company WHATSOEVER. read more

The Atlantic Station location is one of the worst run AT&T stores in America! Horrible customer service that starts with the store manager Steve Lindsey. Most of the sales people are incompetent or simply flat-out lie in order to get sales. When they are confronted about the lies, their cowardly leader (Steve Lindsey) runs and hides in the back office, making himself conveniently unavailable to resolve the issues. Save yourself the time and headache and drive to any other AT&T retail location in the city before coming to the Atlantic Station store. I am a 10 year mobile customer with AT&T, yet I was treated like dirt by this rag tag staff. This store does a great job handling the amount of customers entering its doors. From the moment you walk in a "greeter" introduces him/herself and grabs your name and reason for the visit. From there if there is no wait you immediately are assisted by one the representatives in the stores. Today when I visited I had to wait around 5 minutes before being assisted by Antwon. I upgraded 2 lines for the new iPhone 5S's and I completed my order and payment quickly through the representative's iPad. This store is below par at best. Not even worth one star. If it could give negative stars, I would. I went into the store last night to have them help with a fraudulent issue with my account. Long story short I needed to go into a store to have them finish what the fraud department could not do over the phone. I arrived at about 6:30 and waited about 15 mins until there was a free representative. Within minutes she told me there was nothing they could do as the fraud department was closed. After asking her to ask a manager about that, the manager-Jerome-reassured me that the department was closed and there was nothing they could do. While waiting for them to get in touch with customer 'non'care, I noticed them chatting it up about accessories with another customer. I have no problem with helping other customers, as long as they have waited in line and the representative has done whatever they are capable of doing to help their existing customers. So, I left and returned home with a new SIM card that they told me to call fraud with in the morning and they would be able to activate. I am still on the phone with ATT as I write this. It has been more than half an hour. The first question I asked is about their hours. Well, imagine my surprise when the representative told me that they are open as late as the stores. Now an hour this morning, half an hour yesterday morning and 2 hours last night later my phones are working again. This all could have been avoided if they had just taken the time to actually help me with the problem at hand. I find it completely ridiculous that they spoke to a number of people who told them there was no one who could help. I also find it absurd that as a manager, you do not have the numbers of corporate departments at hand to help your customers. Way to go Jerome et al, FAIL. read more

Lousy Customer Support on incorrect billing We have added International features for one month for a trip to Europe. A T & T has erroneously added the service for 2 additional months and expect us to pay in ADVANCE for a service that was supposed to be on for one Billing Cycle. Then they threaten us with interruption of service if we don't pay the amount for these services and accept the credit for the next month. The " Supervisors" do not know anything and are NON CUSTOMER SERVICE personnel as I have often heard Clark Howard call such people. We have been customers of AT&T for about 25 years. We have 3 cell phones PLUS our home phone and internet. I am so disgusted with them I am looking to switch to Comcast and Verizon for our services. They received a ONE because they was nothing below that available. read more

Back to change my review. Where I wrote "Then he went over the bill and explained how much it would be and why" was incorrect. Another bait and switch. He circled the price in the section marked "Total Ongoing Monthly Charges"...he didn't mention the fine print of "NOTE: Charges above do not reflect promotion, additional charges, or other fees and taxes. Previous review below. After a disastrous visit to the AT&T store in Savannah(see my review), I finally decided to rectify my situation. I had previously had a good experience at this store so I decided to try again. I was pleasantly surprised that I visited on a Saturday, without and appointment, and they had plenty of associates available. Darnell immediately greeted us. I told him what had happened and that I was very displeased with how the transaction in Savannah ended up. I explained that I wanted an iPhone 6 and we were transferring the Samsung to my husband. He was extremely patient and was able to move most all my information from the Samsung to the iPhone, activate the Samsung with my husband's number and make sure we were set up on a data plan that would have enough data for all of us. This is the worst AT&T store I have ever been to. My friend had just broken her phone so we went to try to get her a new one or see if she was eligible for an upgrade. When we entered the store we were not greeted and the sales associates were rude when we asked to put our name in to be serviced. After a 30 minute wait someone came to speak with us and were of absolutely no help and did not try to offer a solution to her problem. They were just very rude and unwilling to provide help. They made us feel like an annoyance and all we were doing was trying to spend our money. Don't go here if you want to get quality service from friendly employees. read more
