Navigation had me doing a little Verizon scavenger hunt first, so heads up. Getting there was more confusing than it needed to be. But once I made it inside, the experience straightened itself out fast. Staff was on it. Nice. Ready. Helpful without dragging the moment out. I had ordered something online for locker pickup, and the woman helping me jumped right up like she already knew the assignment. No attitude. No long face. Just straight to it. I had a few questions about setup and she had the answers immediately. That part mattered. Nothing worse than buying tech and then standing there while somebody reads the box with you. Not the case here. She knew what she was talking about and made the whole thing feel easy. The store was clean. Organized. Calm. They refused to allow me to pick up my home internet box despite placing the order through the app and receiving texts that it was ready to pick up and they confirmed it was there. Absolutely awful experience. Avoid at all costs. Went in for an iPhone upgrade and they recommend buying iCloud to move my data to the cloud as part of my upgrade. It says it will take 2 hours for the migration to the cloud to occur, so they recommend going back to work and coming back as it was a work day. I ask them if they will reserve the phone for me and they say no problem. I return two hours later and the same staff said that they had sold my phone and had no more and there were no more at any other nearby locations. When I voiced my discontent, they were unapologetic and tried to put the blame on me for not understanding that they couldn't truly "hold" a phone. Sat with Fantashia. She clearly didn't want to be there or maybe had a long day. She gave me bare minimum service and I give her half a star just for showing up to work. I asked if they had certain colors IN THE STORE today (black titanium and/or natural titanium) for the iPhone 15 Pro and she said they had both. However, she instructed me to follow prompts on my app to have the phone shipped. I just followed through the prompts thinking that was what I had to do. I said "Okay, it's ordered." She just told me "Okay" while she had her head rested on her arm & giving all the bad posture...I waited for a minute thinking I was going to be given further instructions until I asked if that was everything and she said yeah. Usually people at least tell you when that was the end of the transaction so you're not sitting there wasting time. I walked out in a hurry, and ended up canceling the order. I literally could have done this at home but more-so wanted to take home my upgrade today , so all that's left is the CS experience. read more

If you're anything like me, you walk in to a Verizon store prepared for the worst. I always assume people are going to upsell me on a bunch of features I don't need, make me wait forever, or be totally unable/unwilling to help. Luckily, none of that was the case here. I came in to purchase an iPhone for my mom. Sounds easy, but not so much, considering we had to keep her phone activated until she received the phone as a gift. Oh, and I wasn't even really buying it: my dad was. Luckily, the dude here (wish I had caught his name) was super helpful in helping us pull it off, walking me through how to activate the phone online once she had opened it. I also liked that they had all of their cases unwrapped so you could get a real sense of their size, weight, feel, etc. This is a nice store in a good (if not heavily trafficked) area. If you've got to buy a new phone or deal with other Verizon issues, I'd definitely recommend stopping in to this location: they're about a bajillion times nicer and more helpful than the folks on the phone. read more

I am absolutely livid as I type this review. I switched my service to Verizon. I was told I could use my existing AT&T phone ...great. I was supposed to have a 1k credit tow switching. I'm given a Verizon phone, a fake number and my bill for wireless internet and charged for my ported line. I am beyond livid at the lack of support from all involved. They gave me a fake number in this store and I'm forced to prove to customer service in a call center that I only have one line. I received a bill for $400! I walked in at 7:30pm and associated states because it's after 7:30 they don't do upgrades because it can take up to 45 mins. I was a little skeptical about coming to this verizon location. I was immediately put at ease by the greeting. As soon as my family and I touched the door it was immediately held open. The associate greeting us at the door explained the wait time and offered us light refreshments. As soon as we were able to speak with a sales associate I was immediately pleased. Sam was so sweet, knowledgable, and patient. She allowed me to communicate all of our needs then she meticulously looked for the right plan for us. When she was helping my elderly grandfather she was soft ,patient and effective. She made sure to explain all and every phone's details and operating system in a way he would understand. She did not pressure or swindle him into choosing his phone. She was very patient in explaining how data plans work and everything. Sam and the whole staff at the Verizon Wireless on Howell Mill were extremely pleasing. I dreaded coming here after experiencing bad service at the Ponce location and too many folks waiting in line at the Buckhead location. To my surprise, the Howell Mill experience was great. It was mid day Monday and there were only a handful of people waiting. There were at least 4 people on staff assisting customers. I did not have an appt but that was no problem. A friendly staffer greeted me and said there is only one person ahead of me and the wait would be minimal. Less than 10 minutes later, I was called to the counter. I got a friendly, professional sales woman who helped my trade in my old iPhone for credit. It was quick! Amazed that I was able to get in and out of the Verizon store in less than 20 minutes. read more

Brittoni was super nice upon me entering the store and talked to me while I waited to be helped. Angel was the associate who helped me With my purchase/upgrade. Angel was amazing and very patient with me....even offered me a beverage several times. I've been in several other Verizon stores in the metro Atlanta area and this is by far the best. I was hesitant of doing an in store purchase because of my other horrible experiences at other locations. Kudos to this team at this store on Howell Mill. Everyone was smiling and friendly. I passed maybe 5 stores (25+ miles) to get to this location who also had the highest Yelp rating in the Atlanta area also. I went in to play with the iPhone 4. As usual these guys are really nice and didn't mind me lingering for a while. It was great, but I don't think I'm willing to give up my GT discount for it. They were also really patient about me asking 100K questions about the features of each smartphone. I want a smartphone, but they have nothing that is catching my eye as of right now. Outstanding does not even begin to Express how great the service was from the time I was Greeted at the Door by Tim. He took his time understanding my service needs. I was from out of state and it was an emergency. My phone swap was time consuming and so I had to time sit and watch the other employees who without question were giving the same level of detail and care for there customers as well. I had my two young sons with me they even were patient with them. Not only was TIM super fantastic but CRYSTAL, JOC, KELLY, JAMIA also was just as wonderful. I have come to this location on multiple occasions and every time I get the same dry service. It's almost as if no one here remembers their job is to actually help customers. I'm not going to complain about Verizon policy as I know they're bound to it, but there's a way to say things that doesn't make people feel insulted. The staff here, however, have never learned that. Purchased an iPhone brand new and it has been giving me issues for two months. I took it in and was told that I would only receive a certified used one as a replacement even though mine is only two months old. They said there was "nothing else they could do to help me." Spent over $500 on a new phone and I'm out of luck, apparently. I understand they may have policies and procedures, but my main issue is the lack of concern they had for me when I came in. They just wanted to push me to Apple and they clearly didn't want to deal with it. You'll notice a big difference in the attentiveness they provide when trying to sell you a phone vs when a problem occurs and you need help. read more

Only complaint with Verizon is their billing, problems are like pulling teeth to get resolved. Service on the phone is good though, much better than my old Sprint service. I am a long term Verizon customer. When my Droid MAXX started having issues, I went to this Verizon store to upgrade my phone. I said I wanted to stay with the Android platform, and I was steered to the Droid Moto Z. I bought it -- and a Gizmo for my son -- after over an hour at the store. The next day, I realized that the sound notification was no longer working, so I couldn't hear the phone ring. I missed a very important call about a relative's health. So I did some on-line research and discovered there is a known software glitch with this phone. I spent time on the phone with customer support, and they acknowledged the issue and said there was a software update that would fix it. I did. The phone worked for a bit, then the sound went off again. I took the phone to the store to exchange it, and they exchanged it for another one of the same phone. (The salesman didn't ask me if I wanted another, so I thought this was my only choice to turn in a lemon). I said if I had the same problem, I'd be back. I had the same problem with the second phone. Once again, I called technical support. It seems the first software update wasn't the right one. So I did a software update on the 2nd phone with the specific update to fix the known issue. It didn't work. My sound notification works, but only sporadically. I've missed additional calls. So I go back to the store the NEXT DAY and am told, "sorry, you can only turn in a phone once." In short, -- after the first salesman sold a phone with a known flaw and the second salesman gave me the same phone without either explaining that I had the option of a different model or that this was my one shot -- the store was unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation. The saleswoman I spoke with today called Verizon customer support and put me on the phone. After another hour spent trying to triage the issue to no avail, Verizon agreed to replace the phone. Not the store; Verizon. So Verizon is mailing me a new phone (a different model) and I am to mail back the old phone. I'm left with a very negative impression of the store. So my advice to those shopping at the store is do your homework on what phone to buy before you go there. Do not rely on the salespeople to give you an honest assessment of the phone. And if, God forbid, you get a lemon, know that you have 14 days to trade it in, but you only get one go. This fact is buried in the contract that you don't actually get to read because they just hand you a tablet to sign after they scroll through to the bottom. read more

I went in the store for help updating my phone's software. All they were able to do for me was do everything that I had already done, where not familiar with how to operate the phone, and then ended up putting me on the phone with Verizon customer service, which I could've just done from my home. I ended up wasting time and money to get absolutely nothing done. After both a phone call and chatting online with a Verizon representative, I found out that Verizon stores actually have machines that can update phone software. This was not even mentioned by the in store representative or suggested as an option. It was just a waste of time. read more

Was here today and had a terrible experience with a very rude young woman with brown curly hair. First I walked in and no one even greeted us or checked us in or anything?? So with not being told anything or where to go or what to do I walked up to the counter and stood there for about five minutes before this girl just told me to go sit down. So I sit down and wait... and wait.... and wait.... 30 minutes later I still have not been helped. Then another customer walks in and they get helped almost immediately while I'm still sitting here waiting to be helped?? So I go up to the counter again and the lady asks me to sit for the second time and then I said why are these people being helped when I have been here for waiting and they just walked in? She then asked if I was checked in yet, when I have not since she told me to sit down multiple times? I said no you told me to sit down. She then just said she would help me now she then took my two phones and she then told me to sit again? (Not sure why she wants me to sit so badly) Then to just tell me she can't even help me at all? So now I just wasted an hour of my time waiting for help not to receive anything but attitude from this young lady. TERRIBLE experience will never return. Take some customer service tips from at&t next time. And hire some courteous employees who know what they're doing. read more

This Howell Mill Verizon location is completely hostile and dysfunctional. Staff avoids eye contact when you walk in, ignores you if you approach them, and gives you attitude and turns their back to you if you ask if someone can help you. Meanwhile they shout across the store and socialize with each other and with what one can only assume are their preferred repeat customers or visiting friends. Tried repeatedly to get my phone replaced under warranty and it took 4 visits because no one in this store could not figure out what was wrong and just swapped out SIM cards. Finally when the phone was just stone cold dead they ordered a replacement, but they had the wrong phone delivered to me. Each time a different individual to waited on me, and each time they botched up something that made me come back. Finally once I got the right phone they could not figure out how to transfer my old phone settings to my new phone (twice), and sent me away thinking things were fine. They were not. Go to some other store unless you enjoy, and have the time for, dealing with incompetents. read more

Absolutely terrible service. DO NOT USE THIS STORE. I have had Verizon for over 20 years with 5 phones. My son went in to this store to upgrade his phone. They were having technical issues and what should have been a quick visit ended up taking 2 hours. He understood it was not apparently their issue and that things go down. While he was waiting they offered him a "FREE" hum. He told them he really did not need one but the sales agent told him to take it as it was completely free. We never activated it or even opened the box. When I was charged a monthly fee for the device I called to see why- since it was "free" and we had never activated it. Turns out it was not free but had a monthly charge. We took the Hum back but then were charged a $35 restocking fee. So the free device that was basically forced on us as a gift cost me $55 and several hours of aggravation. The sales person took advantage of the situation to force a sales that was supposedly free on a customer. read more

Do not buy from Verizon Wireless! On 12/27/08 I purchased in-store and online. The phone I purchased online was not the correct phone. There is no way to cancel an order online, so I called customer service that same day. They can't cancel any orders placed on the web and they confirmed that there was no way on the web to cancel orders. I was advised to refuse the phone upon delivery and I would be issues a full credit upon its return to their shipping center. I was then directed to go into their store and purchase the phones, mention the online offers and the store would honor those offers. At the store, the 1 associate was less then interested in having my son and I interrupt his cheeseburger and fries that were sprawled across the sales counter. Being the only ones in the store, I finally asked if he could discuss my situation. He also said to refuse the online order, he said that he could honor the online offer for no activation etc. and we began the process of ordering the two (correct) phones I needed. After 45 minutes of standing around while he processed the order, eating the whole time, he verbally ran through some functions of the phone and we discussed the details of the online offer...we were then on our way. On my first bill, I WAS charged for in-store activation and service fees resulting in a bill of close to $450.00. This is where the nightmare begins. After 6 calls to customer service, starting over with the whole story each time, most of the charges were removed. Next: Now, after about 3 weeks trying to get the extra charges removed, I was still looking for a credit for the phone that I refused. While the phone I refused was received and signed for by Verizon 5 business days after I refused it, they have no further record. You guessed it, no refund. To top it off, customer service told me on 3 of my calls that they have no phone numbers for their warehouse and can only communicate with them via e-mail. Even their supervisors can't contact their own warehouse to find further investigate. As of 2/10/09 I have paid for a phone that I do not have and can't get credit. It gets better: my new billing statement now had charges for the unused phone and activation. Here we go again! 5 phone calls into it, the usage charges for the unused/returned phone were credited...and a $175 early termination fee was applied. I GIVE UP! Now it is back to more phone calls. ..And I still don't have credit for the phone. There is no end in site. read more
