This spot was about 1/3 the price that I was quoted. The fix was something I didn't want to delay and while I hope not to need them again, I'd absolutely come back if in a pickle and recommend to others.

I brought in a phone for repairs. Instead of fixing it, they performed some dark ritual that somehow made it worse. They charged more than the phone is worth, so naturally I assumed it would come back working like new. Silly me. It came back acting like it had survived a car crash and a lightning strike. Twice. They "repaired" two things. Neither one actually worked. Shocking, I know. Now I have a phone that's about as useful as a brick with a screen. Before taking my stereo receiver into Doctor Video I called repair shops in Northern VA, Richmond, and Roanoke, all of which quoted me more than $100 to replace a piece of hardware that costs less than $3 online. Mike at Doctor Video was very reasonable to deal with; I spent less than $50 getting the issue fixed and had the pleasure of some of the best customer service from a repair shop in my life. My only gripe was that the repair took a bit long however in the grand scheme of things, I would rather wait an extra few weeks for the repair to be finished than pay more than double the price to shops with rude technicians or poorly experienced repairmen. If I am ever in need of electronic repair in the area I will absolutely be bringing my business here.
