I took my daughter's iPad to Southern Outlaw Repairs January 13th to have a busted screen replaced…read more I asked him if he guarantees his work and he said he does so I initially felt comfortable taking it there for repair. Upon picking the iPad up, everything appeared to work properly. However, I noticed that the home button became stuck under the screen after being pressed and it wouldn't come back up. I messaged him about it and he said that it was a feature Apple used to disable the home button so people would take the iPad to Apple for repair/replacement. There is no validity to this. Do not buy into this lie. He said he'd take another look at it. He ended up replacing the screen and the home button once more, but this time the new home button didn't support Touch ID. A minor inconvenience but not a huge issue. The real problem was that the new home button didn't work, nor did the power button. The only way to get the screen to light up was to press and hold the power button and then swipe cancel when it asked if I wanted to power the iPad off. Also, the touch screen only worked sporadically. I messaged southern outlaw repairs right away about the issue and I was given the same response about it being a feature Apple implemented. Again, THIS IS A LIE. He agreed to look at the iPad once more but at this point I just wanted a refund. I couldn't use the iPad so I was out the money I paid him to repair it and unable to make a claim with insurance because southern outlaw repairs is NOT authorized to work on Apple products. Took the iPad once AGAIN and he said he could reset it. I can do that myself. That isn't the issue and that didn't resolve the issue. He also put a passcode on the iPad so initially it couldn't be unlocked when taken to Apple Juice to have them look at it. Do NOT trust Southern Outlaw Repairs. It has been a nightmare, time consuming, and a huge waste of money. He will lie to avoid repairing things he damaged. Would have been better off just using the iPad with a cracked screen. At least then it was still functional. After posting the above review to the Southern Outlaw Repairs facebook business page the owner publicly replied multiple times lying about what actually occurred (the comments from the owner are conflicting enough that one can detect the lies by reading the thread, as he backtracked multiple times during the facebook exchange) and then insinuated he could sue me for my factual review.

My daughter was home from college in Florida for a week and needed the back of her iPhone repaired…read moreafter it cracked. After checking out several repair shops and reading reviews -- and based on a recommendation from a local AT&T sales rep -- she went to MyPhoneRepair at the Pinnacle. They were able to fix it the same day, which seemed great. That evening, I asked if she was happy with the repair. She said yes, but as she turned the phone over to show me, we noticed new cracks on the back again. She hadn't dropped it, and it had been in a case and with her the entire time. So we went back to the shop the very next day. The staff member was friendly and told us there was no problem -- they'd fix it again. We thought, "Great! That's excellent customer service." While we were waiting for the second repair, my daughter casually mentioned that it was strange they hadn't asked for her phone's PIN code this time -- because they had asked for it the first time. That raised a red flag. My husband, who works in IT and cybersecurity, was immediately concerned. There should be no reason to ask for a PIN code just to replace the back glass of a phone. At that point, we started to worry: why did they need access to her phone? She's a young woman with a lot of personal information, photos, and data on her device, and the ethical implications were unsettling. We picked up the phone again later that day and mentioned our concerns about the PIN. The rep we spoke with said he has never needed to request a PIN for a back repair, which only confirmed our concerns. We asked that the owner give us a call. Two days later still no one had reached out. Also, later that night, my daughter discovered another issue -- the speaker no longer worked. She couldn't make calls on speakerphone, record videos, or use audio functions without a buzzing noise. At that point, the store was closed, and she had to fly back to Florida the next morning. I called the shop to express our concerns and was told the owner would get in touch. Instead, the manager called back and it became clear the owner didn't want to be involved. The manager kept repeating that they "take customer security very seriously" and only ask for PINs when necessary. But again -- this wasn't necessary. A quick online search supports that advice: do not give your PIN to a repair shop unless it's absolutely required (and it wasn't in this case). They also claimed the speaker issue had nothing to do with their repair. Yet, when we dropped it off originally, they explained that fixing the back of an iPhone 14 involves disassembling the entire internal structure -- their words, not ours. Their final offer was for us to bring the phone back in -- knowing full well she lives in another state. Not exactly a helpful resolution. In the end, we spent $150 for a repair that had to be done twice, and ended up with a phone in worse working condition than when we brought it in. More than that, we left with serious concerns about the ethics of the repair process and the lack of accountability. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this shop. Be cautious. Our experience was disappointing, frustrating, and left us with more problems than we started with.

My iPhone 8 screen was cracked for months so I thought I should go inside and see if there is something they can do. Gavin is the person that was there and he was very friendly. Kinda makes you feel like you've known him for years even though it was the first time. He looked at the phone and said he could fix it and it would be about 10 minutes plus or minus and gave me the price. The price he gave me was more than 50% less than what I was quoted from a licensed Apple dealer in a city 30 minutes away. So I was all in. I left to go order my food next door and in the time in took for my food being ordered to my food being prepared and paid for my phone was done! I am in fact typing this review on what is like having a brand new iPhone! Can't even believe I went so long using this with a cracked screen for so long when I had an affordable and simple solution right here in my own backyard here in Greeneville. Gavin did a phenomenal great job on my phone. So thankful and it was a pleasure doing business at MyPhone. I would recommend and refer to anyone that needs to get their phone fixed. I was actually thinking I needed to buy a new phone before this and had I not come across this store I probably would have. Now my iPhone is good as new!

Came back the next day to see if he would call the Bristol store, to see if they have a battery for my phone. He said that he had two batteries over-nighted. Was able to fix my phone in about an hour. Awesome job guys. Thanks.
