It is true that not all ATT stores are equal and I am pleased to say this one on Branford Hill is one of the best! Better than most ATT stores, it provides a somewhat tranquil experience to an otherwise stress producing experience of decision making and technical learning. Kevin was amazing in his knowledge and ability to guide us through steep learning curves of phones, hot spots and watches. Meeting Junior and getting follow up guidance from him on another day was a bonus. We now feel more comfortable in using our technology and have a greater sense of comfort knowing they can be relied on in helping us through anticipated changes and challenges ahead. read more

Chris is the worst. I went in there to switch off of someone else's plan and that part was essentially fine. I had to come back a few days later to follow up and pre-order the new iPhone 17. Chris was helping me and made me feel like a complete idiot for not exactly knowing the right questions to ask. He was rude, arrogant, and talking to me like he was above me. Sorry bro but you work at an AT&T store...I switched to having the manager help me. He was overall nice and helpful but if you read this-the haircut and gauges are screaming 2010. read more

It is easy enough to purchase a cell phone but what happens when you can use some of the features such as email, etc The past couple of days have been frustrating because I have been locked out of my yahoo account. Finally I stopped by the Branford Store and met Jordan Billings. He took the time to reset the phone and teach me and my husband certain features that we did not know about. He was patient, knowledgeable and although resetting apps is not in his job purview, he accommodated us and provided us with a fully working phone. Customer support in this manner in the most valuable thing a service rep can do. I went in to do a simple case purchase. There were three employees working with 2 customers, one customer was sitting on a couch waiting. Not one employee acknowledged us, or offer a " we will be with you as soon as we can". I eventually approached an employee and asked to get an idea of wait time. Basically a blank look and "see the manager over there". I went to the manager, and asked the same question. It was as if I was asking for a free phone. Shocked at the poor customer service. Lesson to those in retail - acknowledge a customer, even if you can't help them right away. Will order a case from Amazon. read more

Inept customer service; went in to pick up a new phone for my son for Christmas (it was bought and paid for on line) and told technichan Jon that it was for Christmas and would have it turned on later...he shut off my son's current phone and we can't get ahold of the store by phone to fix their mistake so now my husband has to make a 40 mile round trip to go get their mistake fixed. Don't bother calling this store; they do not answer their phone. read more

Don't go there!!!! Misleading and fraud sales reps!!! Bamboozled me into a 2 year contract by lying about my plan. Make sure you read every screen and ask for a printout, because they won't give you one until you ask. They also said you can talk to the manager and pointed to a guy who I knew was not the manager. The worst part is when they don't accept responsibility and say they never told you that. Ahhhhh! Roll the dice and take your chances. read more

Overall, my experiences there have been ok. Things are always more complicated than they ought to be. The level of service varies dramatically depending on who is helping you. A few days ago I went to have my line switched to a different phone. My phone had taken a swim on the 4th of July and was beyond repair. Sadly, my father had recently passed away but, conveniently, I still had his phone. Rather than buy a new phone I wanted to have my number transferred to his now unused phone. Even though my father and I were both on a shared business account, he told me I'd need proof of death, power of attorney etc. When I returned later I was helped by a different associate. Jonathan took a little time to dig back into the records. He was able to find the necessary information that allowed me to make the necessary change. If only I had been able to talk to such a knowledgable associate initially it would have saved me a lot of trouble, a day without a phone, and an extra trip to the AT&T store. read more

Be VERY careful! They sold me an internet access point and said if I could show them that i subscribed to their TV service I'd get unlimited internet. This was going to be great to use at vacation home BUT turns out that the doesn't apply to the hot spot - only to your cell phone! AKA I wasted money. Folks were either poorly informed or need to be a LOT LOT clearer about what they are selling. I feel like I was tricked - esp. since I made a second trip home to get a bill to show them the tv service. so be very careful in dealing with them! read more
