After grumbling about the crumby wifi in Alaska, I had an epiphany to visit a local cell store to check out options for service while I visited. In less than 20 minutes, the gang at this AT&T store had my phone spiffied up with a new sim card, a new telephone number and I was on my way to a fantastic internet experience during my entire visit in Alaska. For a mere $35, I was back to Yelping, checking local attractions, conversing with family and friends and back in the swing of cellular service. So take note - if you're not an AT&T customer you will likely have bad service....that is until you make the decision to get some piece of mind with an AT&T sim card and telephone number. This option worked out very well for me and I'd do it again when I visit the next time. read more

We ordered phones with curbside pick up. The curbside pick up went fine. The sales clerk failed to let us know that our phones would be automatically activated and we would loose service on the phones we were using. When we returned to the store to learn this we were met with a snotty response and told "it tells you that on the website". Customer service would have been to confirm that we knew that before when given the phone at the curbside pick up. read more

Being from North MIAMI I'm use to a degree more of customer service. I live approx 100 miles from Fairbanks. I came up a week ago to change my number and the sales rep. (Let's call him) Matador (rhymes with his name) he talked me into signing up for DirecTV Now. So I did, this is what he had me believe! When I left he told me to log in when I got home! Boy did I make a mistake trusting the idiot Drones in the store. Not only did I not get service, but went back the following week just for the other drones in the store to look at me collectively like a bunch of squirrels who just saw a head light! Still haven't gotten the service! Millions and millions of sperm and all of them had to swim the fastest for the idiots in this store! read more

Dropped my phone in the parking lot at work today; completely shattered, to the point pieces are falling out of my phone. At the worst time too, since I'm leaving for two weeks tomorrow for work. Luckily I'm due for an upgrade. Tried to drove from Eielson to the store on my lunch break. Get in and the "lovely" Cat proceeds to tell me it's going to be a 90 minute wait at least due to AT&T's systems being down. I ask if I can make an appointment for later in the day because I actually have a job; she refuses to and tells me that the only thing I can do is put my name down and wait. I let her know I'm calling corporate and leave. Corporate confirms she should have made me an appointment. Typical Fairbanks customer service. Taking my business to the authorized reseller in North Pole, who I should have went to in the first place. Cat seems like she's on a power trip. read more

Horrible customer service! My husband spent 1200.00 on new iPhone for a Christmas gift for me. Tried to return the case I didn't like after Christmas (with the receipt) and they said it was 1 1/2 days too late to return it. When he purchased phone they offered to set it up but he didn't have old phone as it was for a present so they said bring it back after Christmas. When I did they said they didn't set them up anymore, for me to take it home and do it. Clearly making the sale was the priority and they don't care about customer service at all! We will be making all future purchases on line and suggest you do likewise! read more

Opened a prepaid card to use exclusively for the Alaskan trip. They told me I can save $5 by enrolling auto payment. But the auto payment seemed to be failed so I was told to pay one month worth of credit up front in the store. By the next day I found out the auto payment actually went through so I paid twice as much. I am told that there is absolutely no way to get refund and I have to take responsibility for someone else's fault. read more

not a store review but one of at&t as a 'whole'. because at&t lost so much money in the recent court judgment due to being caught 'throttling the speed and data' of their customers.... that they did to their customers.....they decided to make back their loss of those monies in that judgment by sticking it to the customers again, by raising the monthly rate $13 +. without prior notice, without asking permission. and it was quick. it's already on the current billing. we've been paying for service for many years, on time but without any gratitude. but not anymore. 'f' 'u' at&t...I am switching to another company and will adamantly deter everyone away from at&t. read more

We went here to get new service because Sprint doesn't work in Alaska. We worked with Justin who was really nice and answered all of our questions. He also helped answer all of our Alaska related questions while our phones were transferring over because we are new to the area. The only thing I wish I would have known before getting the service was that they have dead zones in the North Pole and that is one of the main areas I am in. He told us this after we had gotten through the entire transaction. He told us about an app that we can use to mark where we drop any calls. read more

I waited an hour to upgrade my sons phone, just to be told that they did not have any iPhone 6's in stock! Really??? You made me wait an hour to tell me that??? I will never visit this store again and I am seriously considering dropping my service! read more
