This review is past due, but it's for the manager Tommy (mexican guy with ears pierced) The Indian girl that helped me right before him was if no help either; but she just stood there like it was her first day anyways. It's evident that they are desperate for mangers, Tommy is unprofessional and has a nasty attitude. My bill has was not correct for a couple of months now, was told to go into a store and have it resolved. Tommy was impatient from the beginning and it showed on his RBF. you would think standing around in a store would warm him up to have customer service skills but ya know you can lead a horse to water; can't make it drink. After receiving the new iPhone, it was really simple to transfer info over. Automatically does it, but you do need to go in if you aren't sure to make sure complete erase is done and my cell wasn't clarifying it. I went in and talked to Tony. He was great and has no problem setting it up. He said it was just frozen on the screen of my old cell. Just restarted it and set it up to clear it. He had no problems and made it simple. Just going to ship the old one to get credit toward the new one and it's done. He also wished a good day before leaving. Great service and simple transfer over. Went into the store to get a replacement screen protector and waited nearly 20 minutes. During this time, the manager walked by and gave me side eye without greeting or acknowledging me. Once I was attended to, one of the employees gave me the biggest hassle, saying that he could not honor my screen protector replacement program. He had me jump through hoops of logging into my wife's account and then telling me he still couldn't verify that I belonged to the account, when literally my phone is registered to my name under settings! Really? For a $9 screen protector? I asked for the manager and she coldly told me she couldn't help me. Next time I will go to the AT&T near Sierra Vista, as I was in and out in less than ten minutes. All I had to do was provide my phone number. I was treated like a low life scammer and will never do business at this location again. Probably best not to shop here if you are black or mixed. Decided to go to to the location on Blackstone Ave. to get this issue fixed..... and I was so glad I did! I met (Jose) JD, a costumer service rep who was a beast! Super helpful! We had to call ATT to get it fixed and they refused! JD took my phone and told them to cancel it right and then. Came in to fully pay off and unlock my boyfriends phone. I clearly stated to Maritza that we want to pay off, unlock, and receive the unlock pin for future need. I was told okay and that would be taken care of. I give them $1038 and change (have both receipts) and then she comes and tells me they cannot unlock the phone but it's fully paid off. Excuse me? No. When the phone is paid off it is legally the consumers no longer AT&T. Even in the contract it states we can pay off the phone, keep it, and upgrade or trade in. Maritza then gets the manager (female I didn't get the name of) and the manager tries to say they cannot refund me as the card doesn't work, it needs to be a major bank, needs to be a visa. MY CARD IS LITERALLY A VISA FROM BANK OF AMERICA. I told her clearly "No, I came in and I told her I am here to pay off his phone and unlock it. You should not be taking any payments if you cannot fulfill that request" The manager then completely ignores what I just said and answers her phone while in front of me and then they walk away. Some how they were able to process the return after I demanded they do it because you cannot pay for something and not get it. You cannot process payments then refuse refunds when the service that was paid for wasn't given. I called AT&T to confirm what they did and customer service confirmed that THERE IS NOTHING IN MY CONTRACT THAT PROHIBITS PAY OFF AND OWNERSHIP OF THE DEVICE. Nothing. We confirmed this with AT&T customer service and we confirmed it with the manager at the AT&T kiosk at Fresno mall. The only reason we didn't take care of the issue at the mall is because they limit cash transactions at 500$. The manager apologized on behalf of Maritza and the managers over at this location but I have looked into lodging more complaints and have already looked into arbitration options as you cannot withhold unlocking a phone when it is /being fully paid off. read more

Ordered a Apple Watch. Didn't like the color so they exchanged it..... charging me the restock fee because I opened it, which I knew, so that's ok. I received the new one. That one stopped working after one day. Went back to the AT&T store and they said I had to send it in for repair, mind u this a brand new Apple Watch. They sent me to the Apple Store to have them figure it out or exchange it for me. When I got there the Apple tech said the Apple Watch brain was fried. They couldn't exchange for me because I didn't purchase it through them and that AT&T was giving me false information. I had to make an appointment with Apple Store, who then sent it in for repair, they said it will take almost a week. I feel my loyalty to AT&T is not worth anything. It's all about doing the right thing. The manager at the store didn't do that. He wouldn't exchange a defective brain dead watch. Now I'm left paying for a new ....being repaired... Apple Watch for $529.00. A brand new watch that I can't use because it's in repair, and am paying for cell service that I haven't been able to use because it's in repair. I was impressed with the service I got today at this location. Mikala represented the best of what you'd hope to get in someone sitting down with you to discuss upgrades and services. Friendly and knowledgeable, she did a good job feilding all my hard hitting questions. As a current ATT customer, I've been considering moving my services over to Verizon and upgrading my iPhone X to the Xs Max and was crunching numbers, incentives and the finer implications of a switch. Mikala did a good job juggling all the scenario comparisons I was throwing at her. She was super polite and very connected to the customer service experience with good eye contact. She never went off into some script. Thank you! She respected my request not to verge off into questioning me about my TV services. Again, thank you! And she was a keen listener. A skill that is underappreciated these days. Needless to say, she got my assessment right in the store and was grateful for the encouragement. I will carefully digest my options in either staying with ATT or moving with the other guys across the street. This location has a lot of comfortable tables and seats whereas the Verizon store did not have but 2 in an otherwise roomy store. I'd spent some time in their store prior to coming this ATT location. I was less impressed with some of the staff at Verizon who seemed more eager for a sale and less interested in listening to the customer. I'm impressed with Mikala over at this ATT store location. In way of encouragement to you, keep up the great job with some of those innate skills that stood out: Good listening, good eye contact and your kindness. As you can see, it didn't go unappreciated. Oh, one last thing. When I asked a question Mikala did not know, she didn't try to play it off. She simply said, "that's a good question and I'm not sure. Let me go find out for you and I'll be right back." And that is the million dollar, honest response that helps folks learn, become more skilled and better equipped to serve the customer. DO NOT buy a Zagg screen protector for your phone!! I paid $50.00 per phone at AT&T for a Zagg screen protector because of their lifetime warranty. The Zagg screen protector cracked so I decided to order a replacement. They want to charge $9.99 for basic shipping, which is double the shipping price for the protector. I can get screen protectors all day long on Amazon in a 3 pack for $17.00. This is a scam, don't waste your time or money. And notice how Zagg isn't responding to any negative reviews. I went in recently to upgrade my phone since my phone had broken. I was due for an upgrade per AT&Ts website. When I went into the store I was told I was going to have to add another line to be able to get the upgrade. When I told the woman that was not the information I had read on my account prior to coming in. Once I said this all of a sudden the extra line was no longer needed. I upgraded my phone and left. Now I get my first bill and it went from $248 to $598...She changed my plan and added a ton of features that I did not authorize. I am now sitting on the phone with customer service for over an hour trying to change everything back. I cannot believe they treated a two decade long customer like this and illegally changed my plan without my authorization. This is some of the worst bait and switch hard sell practices I've seen. I came here with my mom on Wednesday the 23rd and Jose M. was the one who helped us. My moms home phone stopped working and we weren't sure why. We figured it was easier to come into the store to talk to someone in person versus being transferred a million times to different departments if we were to call their customer service department. We were right!! Jose M called customer service for us. He was very patient, calm, and easy to talk to. And he had a sense of humor which i personally appreciated. We figured out that my moms home phone needed a SIM card so Jose M got that situated for us right away and even helped us make an appointment for a technician to come out. What a mess! My wife and I switched to AT&T to take advantage of the DirecTV Unlimited package. On our first visit the sales person got our plan established but ran into difficulties in activating my wife's phone where she wasn't able to make or receive calls or use data for about 18 hours. When we received our first bill we were shocked to see our $180 plan had swollen to $330!!! We came into the corporate store and explained our bill was far from correct and we were being over charged. After speaking with several employees we finally spoke with the assistant manager, Erika. She went over our bill and found the discrepancies but having to reach this point was pulling teeth! After this interaction we were very disappointed with the customer service we received, and were told our next bill would indicate the corrected rates and we would be issued a refund for the errors covering the period from 02/03-3/24. It is now three weeks later and our bills have still not been corrected. We revisited the same store and have encountered nothing but problems. We spoke with Erica again who said due to a family emergency, she was unable to issue our credit. Wha?! Very frustrating when you're promised things and there's no follow through. I've been with at&t a very long time and although I've paid mounds of money I feel their service has been well worth it. My customer loyalty has been rewarded a few times with different deals so I'm not going to complain. Every time I upgrade or get accessories I come to this store because it always seems they have the most inventory and the best customer service. Marco helped me out with an upgrade and am add a line with a BOGO iPhone XR deal so I'm a happy camper. I'd rather go to this one than the smaller ones. Typically when you get new phones or upgrade they give you a percentage off on accessories to make sure you're protecting your investment. Approximately a year ago I opened up a new customer account a two year contract and after having it for a few months the bills that they claimed to have sent me that never came in started to backfire on me 1 month I got a bill it was approximately $600 and said it was going to collections. first off I never received a bill in the mail and after calling many times and asking them to send me one, their rude customer service department kept referring me to the website to look at it although on the website there was nothing to look at I still asked them to send me something in the mail after going around in circles with them and getting nowhere my account was sent to collections my credit was royally screwed over because of their incompetents that this company has. although I could not do anything about the collections or my credit rating all I can do is write a horrible review and never use them ever again. Raul and his team failed to address my issue & accept my phone returns to honor the direction I was given by AT&T customer service. I was directed to Apple, who after 4 hours told me they couldn't unlock/reset my phones even after the Factory reset was done according to their standards. I have spent two weeks battling with returning these phones and still nobody cares to help me. A 20 year customer, having to subject myself to Covid on top of it all. I will be filing a complaint with FCC/CPUC for unfair business practices. I will be including everyone along the way who failed to handle this properly.
