I went into store after multiple issues trying to upgrade our phones. I paid off our old phones and then tried to upgrade to new phones. I was told there is a glitch in their system and I had to wait 24 hours before I could upgrade a second phone. Come on, this is a tech company! I go back and knew exactly what I wanted. He tried to upsell me with additional phone storage and a replacement plan. I said I didn't want them. He goes in back to get phone while I waited 20 minutes. Wouldn't you know that he comes back with only the phone he was trying to upsell to me. He inferred I was stupid because I didn't want the upsells and didn't undestand that it would save me in the long run. I walked out and ordered the phone online. read more

I got lied to, he was deceitful and he tried to cheat me. Well he did cheat me I had to turn in my 7 month old phone that cost $500.00 and I still owe $354. first bill was $ 253. was suppose to be $55. plus tax and fees. and it states starting in October the bill will be $92. Suppose to get gift cards to use to pay my phone I had to give him and I doubt it that I will get them and it will take 3 months to receive I say just send a check and I asked for my phone back but he will not do that. Use the service for 6 days sent back the $ 1000. phone he gave me which is more phone than I needed and he knew that. I found out if I didn't send that phone back with in 14 days I would be stuck paying for it. He plans on charging me a restock fee besides. So I lost money and have no phone, we are elderly on a fixed income and I'm not spending over $500. for a phone. He was going door to door and his name is Desmond and he said he was the manager at the cox rd Gastonia nc store and his assistant is Angelica. They hesitate to return calls and actually she never called back. BUYER BEWARE !! I went back to TMobile and I never had a issue with them and recommended them at least they are honest. read more

If I could give less than a 1, I would. My son dropped his iPhone 14 and cracked his screen. It has insurance so I scheduled a repair here. Upon arrival, they said it couldn't be repaired and could take days to get a replacement through insurance. When my wife said that was unacceptable, they said her best option was to pay off the phone ($400) and buy a new, upgraded one. Then gave her the phone back and said the insurance would no longer work on a phone that was covered when damaged and now paid off, since they bought a new phone. So, hours of phone and chatting later, I call the insurance provider the next morning (today). They apologize and say that shouldn't have went down that way. They reschedule repair at a small local business nearby, and what do you know? The repair was easily and completely done, no problems or issues, in about an hour. The phone is like new again. So I guess the "can't be repaired" was a BIG" lie. Shame on AT&T for doing a bait and switch. They should send all of their repair business down the street. Alright now everyone! Here we go.. let's first start by saying that I started my order online. I has told the iPhone 8 Plus was BOGO free. Ok and then I was told that My husband and I can Have 5 GB of internet.. The lady said two iPhones + insurance each + service + discount for auto billing would come out at $118 a month! So I signed up for that. After I placed the order that said my phones would be ready by 7PM the SAME DAY... well.. come three days later I'm finally getting my phones.. I get to the store and they get my phones and ring me up and I ask what my first bill was and this lady said $270!!! WTF!!! I said no way the woman online said that I would only have to pay $190 for first bill and after that $118.. Nope she was wrong.. NO WAY WOULD SOMEONE PAY THAT MUCH MONEY FOR A PHONE BILL!! Well I wasn't going to. So she continues to explain to me And we FINALLY get down to where it was previously at.. all while the AT&T sales rep beside her is making rude comments and snickering at me because no way was I going to pay that.. GIRLLLL be happy my kids were with me that day!!.. So I go home and look up my phone bill to make sure it was right! NOPE THAT WITCH DIDN'T CHANGE A DAMN THING!! So I call and voice my frustration and the lady on the phone says that $35 of that is because I had service for THREE DAYS before billing period started! WHAT?? She said that ALL companies do that UHHHHH NO THEY DON'T!!.. So I didn't handle it well and hung up. Now keep in mind I am beyond frustrated with AT&T at this point. I call the store to make sure I can return the phones and he said there would be a restocking fee since I ordered online WTF AT&T?!?!?!?!? I picked them up in THAT STORE!!!.. So now I'm home and I'm so frustrated I go to the AT&T online chat and tell them I need to make a return and they are asking what's wrong and why so I politely explain and they FINALLY WORKED IT OUT FOR ME!!! I paid only $172 my first bill and now only $128 every month.. But since this horrible experience I WILL NEVER EVER N-E-V-E-R E-V-E-R choose AT&T again! NEVER!!!! Directv was bad enough when it was a stand alone company. It became 10x worse when AT&T bought them out. I faithfully followed my contract for 2 1/2 years on a combo deal (Directv, phone, and internet). After my contract expired, I cancelled services because of a 300% price increase. I was charged a $160 unfair early termination fee. After spending days on the phone and visiting the AT&T store twice, I thought it was reconciled. They agreed that they should refund me through the loyalty program. I have never received anything from them except soliticitation "we miss you" letters. Bad customer service and no results after hours and hours of trying to work with the AT&T store. read more

I would rather drive two hours to another store than go to this one. They are not helpful at all. They have techs that finish with customers then go in the back and don't come out to help the others waiting patiently. One of the managers is rude and doesn't know how to manage his employees. when there are seven people in line that hasn't moved in over an hour you would think he shouldn't let two of the four techs leave but not in this case. I called to ask a question about a promotion that was being advertised, was not looking for any specific information, I was only calling to find out how long that promo would be going, the gentleman who answered the phone was rude and unprofessional saying that he didn't even know they had that promo and he would have to look it up and he had a customer. He didn't offer to put me on hold, not even saying I can have someone else help you. At this point I could tell he was not interested in answering my question or even bothering to take the time to look it up. I went to the AT&T location on Steelecroft Pkwy last week where they were happy to assist me and explain the promotions they had going on. I'm glad I didn't bother to drive to this store's location and I will be sure not to call or visit this location on Cox Rd in the future either. read more

I was offered a trade in on my old phone in December, so I went to the store to do business and the sales lady Lisa that has worked for att for 19 years, sold me a new I phone 11 pro and took my old phone in for account credit. I have tried several times to ask why the credit has not been applied to my account and no answers, manager and Reginal management will not talk to me so I went to store to find out why and all I did was ask for my phone back or the credit either one and was asked nicely to leave. This is definitely, 100%a ZERO star. This is about AT&T in general. Not necessarily this store. Based on their online promotion my family and I ordered new services of internet & TV for the promotional price of $65 per month for 12 months. Yaaaay!!!! Hold up tho. I had a reason to call them ...to my horror I was told that my monthly bill would be $80 before taxes. Upon asking where the $65 offer went, they claimed there was never such offer. I guess my sons and I need glasses or we just don't know how to read numbers. I also had to upgrade the TV channels to actually have channels we can watch. If I'm paying for something where they are switch and baiting customers I may as well get some channels that we can ACTUALLY watch. From $65 to $110 monthly. Go figure... Go to a different AT&T company store. It's not AT&T'S fault that this store sucks. I've personally sat in this store for an hour or more at least 1 time a month since this past December. They screwed up my plan and screwed up my BOGO offer etc. I've been an AT&T customer for at least 20 years even during the name changes I was and still am a loyal customer. I've had iPhones since 3G - now 8. Never had an issue until I purchased from this location. Worst experience I've had with AT&T store I should have went straight to Apple and I will from now on. Love the service AT&T. Found out the best time to go to the store is when everyone else is at work. Got in and out in about 20 min. The time was about 2:00 in the afternoon. I would HATE to go there after 3:00. Very polite people and took care of me right away. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is because I have been there a few times before. read more

Awful service. Slow, non caring employees who don't seem to want to be there. Unhelpful. The "we'll check you in" BS is infuriating and the check-in employees could be better used actually helping customers. If I could give this store negative ratings I would. Waste of my time. It is incredibly frustrating when they quote you a $30 price and your bill comes with $60 due. A couple of years ago we had no issues with them but now they have become unbearable to deal with. Ok so for a while I've bin thinking of changing phone companies and today 6/3/17 was the day , I decided to enter this at&t store in Gastonia, big mistake even after I read one review on here stating bad news don't go bad service, well for that negligence on my part I was punished with over an hour of wait time and even having my name removed from the list of people in line only to be placed back on it after two people got attended , you would think a manager would talk to you but no , well what I'm getting at is do not go to this store if you plan on being in a hurry and getting good quality service.
