We had a meaningful and productive visit with Shane today. After changing our service to ATT and getting new cell phone we ran into a glitch in transferring data to our new cell phones. Shane quickly discovered the problem as the VPN was conflicting with Norton VPN which stopped the data transfer. Pleasant conversation and getting results meant a lot to us. I had gone in a couple of months ago and talked to Bri. My friend was there, and we had told her multiple times that I needed to add a line onto an existing family plan. We were also there to purchase an internet plan for the house. Everything seemed to go smoothly, but I was confused when my number didn't appear on the family plan. Turns out that Bri did not do as I had asked and opened up a completely new line and without asking me, also added an insurance plan. I had found all of this out after placing a call to customer service, who said that they would prorate this for me and fix it. The first bill was prorated, and the second somehow turned out to be over $100. Now I have to go through the trouble of figuring this all out, and I'm pretty livid. read more

Just recently returned to AT&T after trying out Cellular South and Verizon. As hard as I tried to stay away, the iPhone just had a hold on me that I could not break. So after a few years and several carriers, I went in last month to Best Buy and picked up my iPhone. Well this afternoon, (the day after Black Friday) I wandered into the AT&T store to pick up a 3G Microcell for my home. The place was packed but before I could take three steps in the store i had two reps walking me through the login, to the counter and had the item in my hand within 5 minutes!!! Jamie (***** stars) then spent the next ten minutes explaining to me, not only how to install the Microcell, but what to expect during the download/installation process. I may have my gripes about the reception in some areas of MS, but as far as customer service goes, this is the BEST I have received in a long time!!! read more

Went into the store and purchased the new galaxy phone because I was looking to upgrade I was mislead about almost everything from Zion just to make a sell. I asked for no insurance and was told that I have to get it but when the bill comes out I can call customer service and they will be able to take it off. I was also charged 14.70 to activate the service which was charged to my card but did not show up on my statement. I was told by Zion that my bill will be around 65.00 a month but when I got the bill it was 142.94 and after calling customer service I was told that the insurance issue was a lie and they don't show any charges on their end at all. I have 4 cell phone lines, internet and direct TV and basically was told by customer service sorry you were misinformed but your bill is right but if I want I can go back into the crossroads store and see what they can do for me. After speaking with the store they sent me back to customer service so to solve all of this I'm just canceling all my business with att completely. They have just lost a valid 16yr customer. Ok. This is the most unbelievable review I have yet to write seeing how I absolutely hate AT&T retail stores with a passion & with good reason to boot, but today I was pleasantly surprised with my visit. Usually the "visitors" list is longer than most 5 year olds Christmas list but it was late afternoon & I guess I got lucky because there was not much of a wait. For those of you who don't know, I am hypoglycemic & today was just one of those shite days where Murphy's Law inevitably prevailed. If it can go wrong, it will go wrong. By the way, my son & I had gone to Login's Steakhouse a few minutes before, it was good but that is another story & yes, another review. Anyway, I am dreading the fact I HAVE to go to the AT&T retail store & the reason being, I was due for an upgrade & Lord above did I need it. I am hell on phones. So, my son & I walk in the store at crossroads, I am a bit fuzzy because my sugars are JACKED & my 16 year old son finds a table, grabs a chair & sits me down. Now, some of the ladies working there had somewhat of a "fit" because , "Mam, there are people ahead of you waiting"!!! I remember telling one of the sassy ones I needed just a moment & I would be ok & then comes Bruce. Now, for those of you who have been there, in THAT store, know how irritating thoss "salepersons" can be but Bruce was my savior. He walked up, asked me if I was ok, asked if there was anything he could do to help me & was actually truly concerned about my wellbeing. A few minutes passed, I started to get my shite together & instead of him moving on, he sat with me & we talked about why I was there & what I needed. Bruce had an incredible sense of humor, a wonderful smile, an attitude that automatically put you at ease & a trustworthy feeling about him which trust me, IT COUNTS!!!! I told him what I was wanting, he brought me exactly what I needed, he brought me the protective gear I desperately needed as I wasn't kidding about be hard on phones, & he ASKED me continuously if "this was something I really needed because it would push the price up a bit"! By the end of the conversation, we were talking candidly about politics, children (he has two daughters), corrupt salesmen using some "clients" for commissions & why people hated coming to those stores. This man was honest, real, genuine, funny, lighthearted, kind, highly intelligent, he knew exactly what he was talking about & there was NO bullshite about him. He was honest to God, a GOOD & honest man. He may kill me for what I am about to say but, IF you find yourself in that store, ASK FOR BRUCE because he will NOT let you down. He even make it possible for me to walk out of the store with over 180.00 dollars worth of equipment & I paid only 80.00 dollars with the rest in installments on my bill and not just one shocking bill of 3 or 4 hundred dollars. Bottom line, the man is kind, considerate, sweet, charming, knowledgeable & truly wants to make sure you don't get screwed over. He gave me his card with HIS number on it & not some 1-800 customer service number & also told me if in 14 days, I was not happy with my purchase or my choices then to come on back & he would take care of it. That is the FIRST time I have ever dealt with an AT&T "salesman " who I actually believed. If you go there, if you have to wait then do it because Bruce is worth the time & effort. I actually made a friend today. How many people can honestly say that after visiting an AT&T retail store? So, Bruce, God Bless you. take care of yourself & family & keep up the great work & the wonderful cheerful attitude. I have gone to this store 3 times, each time all I got was a run around. The first time. I was returning a nokia phone within the 14 day time period. It took 2 hours and they kept asking me the same questions over and over, because the first person could not help me, then the second person asked the same questions as the first then said he had to get the manager, then she asked the same questions again. Why was I returning the phone? do I want a different phone? When did I buy the phone? Did I buy the phone online or in a store? Did I want to keep the phone number? Why does the phone number show up as a sprint number? Second time, My nokia 1020 phone up graded from windows 8.0 to 8.1 and started locking up. I asked if they could help me. They said no, that I had to call Microsoft (even though the update came from at@t ) Microsoft said AT@T was responsible. I went back and forth until I just gave up. Third time, I ordered a ASUS memo pad 7, I used it for three days and it stopped working. Looked like their was condensation on the screen. I took it to them to fix or replace. The store manager said I damaged it by dropping it in water and he could do nothing. When I tried to explain that I did not drop it in water, he rudely interrupted me, I informed him that I would not tolerate him interrupting me, and that his store always gave me a hard time and that I would stop using AT@T. I called AT@T customer service, they are sending me a new ASUS memo. read more

I walked into here looking for help while I was in GP for the big horse show. My iphone was refusing to charge and I was worried. I was greeted by a friendly man who took my name and seemed on my way to getting somewhere, explained the problem that brought me in, when suddenly he said, oh, well we have 5 people in front of you so you have to wait. AS IN, oh darn, I was hoping you were here to buy something, but since you aren't, I'll have the new guy help you while I go back to waiting by the door to see if someone who wants to spend money comes in. While waiting 20 minutes, I googled my problem on one of their display iPads, and found some possible solutions, so we left. I went back to my hotel and employed the suggestions I read (cut q tip very thin, swab a little alcohol and clean charging contacts) worked, at least for the time being. When I get home I will go to my local ATT store where the staff is really helpful. read more

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!! I have been an AT&T customer for almost 20 YEARS; however, that is about to change. Several months ago, my wife, two sons and I went to the Gulfport AT&T store. My son wanted to upgrade his iPhone to the iPhone X. UNLUCKY for us, the company had a "buy an iPhone X, get an iPhone 8 free" promotion at the time of our visit. The price of the iPhone X was $1,149.00 (more than I wanted to spend). My son asked if we could take advantage of the promotion then sell the extra iPhone 8. We asked the salesperson if that would be possible. We were told that it would be okay as it is done all of the time. We chose to pay for the phone over the course of 30 months. The salesperson explained that an installment charge for the "free phone" would appear on our bill each month along with a credit for the same amount. This did not concern me or my wife (the high school math teacher) at all. We walked out of the store with both phones. My son immediately sold the iPhone 8. Like many people, we have our AT&T bill automatically debited from our bank account monthly, so it was not until 7 months later that we discovered we had been paying multiple charges on the iPhone 8! The phone has never had any usage on our AT&T account and yet we are being charged as if it has been used. This phone retails for $695.00- several hundred dollars less than I will end up paying for service on the "free phone" that has never been used! I am outraged...... my wife, my daughter, and I have all called trying to get some resolution to this problem. We have been told that we are out of luck. We cannot remove the phone from our account without having to pay it off "the free one"! We have called their Customer Loyalty Department multiple times without success. We were instructed by this department to go back to the Gulfport store to get this resolved. We were told that the resolution is to turn off the iPhone 8 service then have the store credit our account the price of the iPhone 8. This made sense because it is the "free phone." Well, today I went into the Gulfport store and had absolutely no luck getting this resolved. I was given the run around. It was a huge joke. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! I continually asked for the manager; however, salespeople were sent in his place. This happened over and over. Eventually, I was able to speak with the manager. When I complained about him being inaccessible after multiple requests, he told me that they were following protocol. In addition, I was told that we should have known that there would be other charges involved with the "free phone." That was outrageous! How would we know something like that? We ask for specifics and were not told about any other CHARGES! We are college-educated people with common sense and would never have signed up for such a program. It would have been cheaper to walk out with a single phone (the iPhone X). I filed a complaint with the CEO of AT&T, Mr. Randall Stephenson. I am waiting for a response to my complaint. In addition to cell phone service, I also have Direct TV, and internet service through AT&T. WITHOUT RESOLUTION......THEY WILL LOSE ALL OF MY BUSINESS. read more

Hours and hours of my life I will never get back. I have had nothing but trouble with this provider. Had an iPhone 6, they told me the reason I had no service was that I needed to upgrade my phone. Got the iPhone 8 and I still have no service. Then my elderly mother fell and broke the bones in her face and hip, I tried to call 911 from my AT&T iPhone 8 and my AT&T house phone, again no service. Mom came home from the hospital so I went to this location to try and get my service working and they told me I had to buy a booster for my phone. What?? Buy a booster, thought I was already paying for cellular service? While at the store they were in a hurry for me to leave when I was asking why I couldn't reach 911 to get help for my mom because the potential NEW customers in the store were overhearing my dissatisfaction with no service to 911. Over the months and months of 611 and all the contradictions and proposed solutions it's really all about the money and not providing a service. Steer clear of AT&T and especially this store. It's all about getting your money and not providing you with any service, hence no signal and NO SERVICE, just what my phone says when you look in the top left corner with AT&T. Go anywhere besides AT&T if you want to make a call, including 911. Because when you do have to call 911 from a phone with AT&T, they won't be able to hear you!!!! read more
