I arrived to the location at around 12:30pm (time stamp in image.) I spoke to two employees. I talked to one employee that took a look at my iPad and confirmed the price and time to pick up (2 hours). I also confirmed again with the guy who managed the payment that it would take two hours. I show up around 4:45pm and no one greets me walking in. So I walk up (five minutes later) to the first employee and asked if the tablet is ready. She told me, "Oh you're early, I just have to put on the screen." It had been 2+ hours since I dropped off so I was confused but I said I will wait till they are done. I came back around 50 minutes later and the repair is not done yet. At this point it is already 5:45pm and it has not been finished. I wait until 6:18pm and she hands me it without apologizing for the wait or anything. I regret not saying anything about the time issue but it feels conflicting because of all the things I signed and I am not sure if I am in right to. The problem is not how long it takes, but it was the misinformation about when pick up would be. I confirmed with two people that it would be ready in two hours. It came out to almost 6 hours. I would not have minded dropping it off and coming back another time, if they had communicated that. But I was told it was 2 hours so I waited there, standing in the store and not wanting to rush the employees. The repair itself is excellent but the customer service was conflicting. I paid $329.84 and expected quality care. I do wish I had a better experience because it seems others do.

We had a short window of time due to a 1:30 pm lunch reservation but our salesperson was fast, efficient and completed the sale and we were able to leave with both the new and old phone. Need to return the old phone within 30 days so we are doing that today. Now hubs not only has an upgraded phone but a protective case, screen protector and charging block for his new toy which he is on ALL the time.

Got a bill for the account even though, no phone number was attached to it. Called Customer Service again (50) min, told iPhone had to be received by them before reversing charges Sent iPhone back, waited for delivery confirmation, 3 days, got it. Called Customer service again (40 min). They said they would reverse billing. Got email next day saying there was remaining balance Called Customer Service again (65 min), fed up with poor service, demanded to talk to supervisor. After 4 different attempts to talk to supervisor, she finally got to phone. Said she would reverse the residual bill. I told her I wanted an address to file a formal complaint. She said she can't give me that address. Said she could file a complaint on my behalf. Like that would be accurate. I still have a disputed initial charge to my Credit Card that has not been resolved yet. Things could have been quick and easy had staff done their jobs correctly. Just a fair warning, if there is an issue, AT&T customer service locally and their "800" number may be totally incompetent or maybe just totally untrained. This has been an absolute disaster!!!

It was frustrating and a headache! It was highly recommended to make a reservation with the location that you plan to visit. The earliest appointment was for the next day Thursday March 26, 2026 at 5:45pm. I took the 7:00pm appointment and they close at 8:00pm. We walked in and the place was full of people. On the screen showed 32 people on the walk in wait list!! I checked in at 6:45pm for the 7:00pm which is the 15 minutes recommended on the iPad? 6:50pm, we were helped by SAGE a very friendly sales associate? He asked for an I.D and started the process of getting what we needed the replacements of the 2 cable boxes. SAGE talked and worked fast at the same time which made it go by so fast. It was a very nice and comfortable first experience. By 7:10pm and only in 20 minutes we were walking out the door with what we came for. We went home and set it up and it's all good again. Can watch tv again. Lol.

You can tell a lot by a company's practices and spectrum will intentionally keep you on the phone to cancel for at least 10 minutes telling you that it's still processing. That just cant be true for any technological reason. If you can live stream from your phone, the ISP can't need that much time to process a simple disconnect function. Where before I thought I might just live near old infrastructure, I now think this company is intentionally bad. Poor form Spectrum.

If you come into the store to trade in a phone and told of a promotion it may not post correctly. Requested some type of confirmation and told it wasn't possible, even the store manager Neill wasn't able to provide any actual proof of the promotion we signed up for. Additionally he seemed annoyed to even be asked for anything aside from his verbal word. It goes without saying the offered promotion didn't post correctly to my account and I had to spend several hours on the phone with customer service fixing the stores mistake. BEWARE! During the sign up/trade in process the agents kept having "technical issues" with their iPads and he had to make multiple attempts to complete the transaction. Each time their iPads automatically select a box indicating you want insurance and marketing promotions. It's a scam... even when you verbally and physically deny both of these, the agents iPads automatically sign you up for both. It's very difficult to remove the non-mandatory insurance and marketing promotions afterwards and we felt very scammed by this nice bait and switch sign up process. Recommend doing all transactions online or with another Hawaii store.

I came across T-Mobile's Hawaii Kai location because I was on the island handling some family business, and it just so happened that the company's "T-Mobile Tuesday" weekly event was having an in-store promotion giveaway. I've enjoyed this marketing campaign for several years and have collected a menagerie of branded items that showed my love for the company whom I've been a devoted customer since the early 2000s when Catherine Zeta-Jones reeled me in as my first and only cellular provider and the then very cool Motorola StarTac flip-phone. Certainly, proximity was the main driving force behind this particular brick-and-mortar as it was mere minutes' drive away. Whenever I was in town, would this location fit all of my mobile needs to a tee!? PURCHASE Stadium Seat Cushion (FREE): The company's vivid magenta brand color wrapped this square 1/2"-thick tush padding with a football design. A nice item to show customer appreciation and drive foot traffic into the stores. However, after a few uses, I'd imagine the fluffiness would be nearly gone. Sadly, they didn't have the right model, but the two young male staffers recommended I check the vendor's website or even Amazon - mahalo! PARKING (FREE) Located within the Hawaii Kai Towne Center, there were plenty of stalls - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A rather small boxy space fully maximized with a central service counter and all of the various merchandise displayed neatly on pegs and shelves along the walls with some standing displays throughout. As you could imagine, hung on the walls were several advertisements and promotional posters. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the front doors and windows while electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs nor any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I honestly didn't have many expectations with Hawaii Kai's T-Mobile location, but what I was able to do and the ease I was able to do it, I had no problem with future visits if necessary. It was a shame they didn't carry an older OtterBox model because I was ready to buy one, but I completely understood why. Although I didn't buy anything, I suspected the prices were consistent across the entire chain except for taxes, and the service was on-point from the three folks I dealt with. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $0.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...     This will be a shout-out for a superstar named Rod!…read more It was time to turn the old phones in for the trade value. Owen is gone and we got a guy who was passive and seemed unconfident. Each of us needed a password to complete the factory reset (we should have done it at home where all the passwords live). Excruciating trying to execute this procedure in the hot lights of the store. We left unsuccessful. A couple days later we return and Rod (another former Verizon employee, rehired by this vendor) supported us. Confident, empathic, knowledgeable and patient. The iPhone was good to go but the Samsung needed more attention. The battery died before the reset was done but I was oblivious to that. Rod called me to let me know he would charge it try again. I had uninstalled and deleted everything plus went through some of the resetting steps, just not the full wipe. Thank you Rod!

The guy on duty at 10 AM Saturday morning either needs to be trained better or find another position. He obviously doesn't understand Android, and, rather than looking up the issue I was having, insisted there was no problem - as if the phone stuck in a system loop that drains the battery isnot an issue. That is after I showed him the article on Google that discussed the very issue I was having. I went to the Verizon store in Hawaii Kai - the man there quickly diagnosed the problem, looked up solutions, fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes and waited until we could confirm it had been solved. Five stars for Rod at Kahala. Five stars for the Hawaii Kai store. Nothing but dismay at the lack of interest, knowledge and customer service from the man I encountered yesterday at Verizon Kahala.
