They don't flat out lie to your face, they just don't tell you about all the fees that are and I quote from the tech: "standard so we just don't mention them." An activation fee of $40 per device is definitely something you should tell your costumers especially when they specifically ask about any other fees? upgraded my wifes phone for Christmas. It was 2 weeks late getting here. they could not get the phone to work correctly after we had it for a couple of weeks. gave us other options to call. we requested they take phone back and exchange. the manager replied "we cant unless you have original box and packaging". told him we did not purchase the box, its the phone and he could put our phone in new box when he got it. he told me "RULES ARE RULES". I upgraded my phone, and the manager Nick was initially helpful. As my phone worked but the screen was black, e gave me a couple of phone #s for people outside Verizon who could help. I said if I went to them for set up, do I still need to pay the $40 set up fee. He said yes. I said I have info on Verizon Cloud, and he said I can download it that way. I was needing to get going and didn't think anything more about the set up fee. When I went back to turn in my old phone, I commented that the store did nothing regarding setup, indicating a sign they had that said the set up fee is for backing up data and making sure the new apps work. Nick said it's also for setting it up in the system. I again referenced the sign right by the desk, and he still said no refund. Very disappointing. What is the separate upgrade/activiation fee Verizon charges, if not to make changes in the system? I would not recommend this store for upgrading your phone, unless you plan on making them work for the $40 set up fee you will be charged. read more

I've been with Verizon for many years. I just recently upgraded to a new iPhone model. Doing all this through my online account, I didn't need to go into the local store. Then I realized the newer phones don't have the headphone jack. So I popped in to the store and asked about it. The girl who approached me was stoic and abrupt. She had an attitude of " you e got to be kidding me that you don't know about this". She explained about the "dongle" that you can buy to be able to use a headphone but that they didn't sell them there. When I asked where they do sell them, her colleague let out an exasperated gasp like I was being ridiculous for asking. I really felt like it was a complete pain to wait on me. Btw- I went sown the street to the AT&T store and the couple working there couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They actually let me know of 4 different places where you can pick up a dongle. read more

Wow. If only zero was possible. Four people stood around while the phone was ringing. Got a perfunctory and half informed answer to our question. Called back to get more information and the person was rude and unknowledgable. Verizon is likely a better carrier but I'd certainly go to a different store. read more

This Verizon has the best customer service I've ever experienced. I went In with my wife to pay my bill and matt helped us out. He managed to get us set up with an iPad and lower our monthly bill. I was surprised. So you're telling me I get to add something on and pay less than I was before? Sign me up. read more

They encouraged my wife to order the new IPhone 8. She did and we were notified when it came in to come activate and get the phone. When we got there the sales rep said it would cost us almost $30.00 per month when in actuality my wife was quoted a price of just over $21.00 per month. When we brought this to their attention they changed the monthly cost to what was earlier quoted but then they said that they would not wipe my wife's old phone and that we had to transfer all her stuff from the old phone to the new one using iTunes because their system couldn't do it. Faced with these problems we refused to buy the phone and left the store. The sales reps didn't seem to care about helping us and were in no hurry to help us. My suggestion is if you need Verizon service go to one of the Verizon stores in Destin or Fort Walton Beach do not use the store in Niceville. read more
