Luckily we were helped by Tony who was friendly, smart and got us through the process as quickly and painlessly as possible. This guy is the real deal.

I called and was told I would receive my service on one of two days. It didn't happen. I called and asked what was going on. Their system was down, not a good sign for an ISP. I called again. No one could tell me why I hadn't received service or when I would receive service. After spending over 2 hours on hold with AT&T that week. I canceled my order. Then I came crawling back. They were the cheapest service by far, and I decided to just wait it out with a new Zen attitude. Of course their system couldn't handle me canceling and reordering, so that took some more time with their call centers. I had to order a different service because the service they originally sold me wasn't available where I live, an impressive lack of competence for a multi-billion dollar company. The service I ultimately bought is slower and costs more, but it still was the best deal. Once I got that order in, everything went fine. I guess the moral of this story is that you get what you pay for.

Called customer support and was told the only way to convert to postpaid was in store. So this time we called ahead to the Veterans store. They said it's possible. When we first got here, the place was very busy and we had to wait a while. That's not too big of a problem. They were nice about walk ins. When our turn came, we explained our situation and at first the person said they couldn't do it or didn't know how. At that point we literally were tempted to leave our carrier AT&T for good cuz of the discrepancy between what we were told in store versus customer support. But someone went back and asked and Ms. Carla Stamps came out and said she could help us. All of the issues were handled by her with no problem. She was generous and helpful and we are very thankful for the help. Someone should give her a raise because AT&T almost lost a customer if not for Carla.

WARNING: DO NOT TRUST AT&T PROMOTIONS -- THEY GOT OUR BUSINESS AND THEN REFUSED TO FIX THEIR OWN…read moreMISTAKES If you are considering switching your business to AT&T because of one of their "amazing" promotions, THINK TWICE. Our company moved SIX lines from Verizon to AT&T because AT&T offered us an extremely attractive deal: lower monthly bills and new iPhone 17 Pro Max phones. We trusted them. We switched all six lines. That was a mistake. One of the six phones AT&T provided was an iPhone 17 Pro instead of the iPhone 17 Pro Max that was ordered and promised. We immediately contacted the AT&T manager handling our business account. AT&T agreed to correct THEIR mistake and send the proper iPhone 17 Pro Max. Then AT&T screwed up AGAIN. AT&T SHIPPED THE REPLACEMENT PHONE TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. The replacement iPhone 17 Pro Max was NEVER delivered to us. Because AT&T sent it to the wrong address, the package was automatically returned to AT&T'S OWN WAREHOUSE. We never received it. We never lost it. We never had possession of it. AT&T GOT THE PHONE BACK. And FOUR MONTHS LATER, AT&T still refuses to resolve the problem. Their excuse now? "The 30-day period has passed." Are you kidding me? WHO CAUSED THE 30 DAYS TO PASS? AT&T did. AT&T provided the wrong model. AT&T shipped the replacement to the wrong address. AT&T received the undelivered replacement back at its warehouse. AT&T then failed for MONTHS to properly resolve the situation. And now AT&T is trying to use its own 30-day policy as an excuse to avoid fixing a problem entirely created by AT&T. Their "solution" is insulting: return the phone we have and spend approximately $1,500 to buy another Pro Max. So apparently AT&T makes the mistakes, AT&T wastes four months, AT&T gets the replacement device back -- and the CUSTOMER is expected to pay $1,500 to solve AT&T's problem. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. This is exactly why customers need to be extremely careful with AT&T promotions. The promises sound fantastic when they are trying to convince you to leave another carrier. But what are those promises worth when AT&T refuses to honor them after you have already transferred your lines? We transferred SIX BUSINESS LINES from Verizon based on what AT&T promised us. They got our business. They got our six lines. And when something went wrong because of THEIR OWN ERRORS, we got four months of excuses, wasted time, and "there is nothing we can do." There IS something AT&T can do: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND HONOR THE AGREEMENT. We are not asking for a free upgrade. We are not asking for something we never ordered. We are asking AT&T to provide the iPhone 17 Pro Max that was part of the original agreement and that AT&T already attempted to send before shipping it to the wrong address. This should have been an incredibly simple problem to fix. Instead, AT&T turned its own shipping mistake into a four-month nightmare and is now attempting to make the customer financially responsible for it. DO NOT blindly trust AT&T sales promises or promotions. Get EVERYTHING in writing. Save every email. Save every tracking number. Screenshot every offer. Document every conversation. Because based on our experience, once AT&T gets your business, those wonderful promises made during the sales process may suddenly become much harder to honor. AT&T made the mistake. AT&T got the replacement phone back. AT&T failed to resolve it for four months. And AT&T now expects the customer to pay approximately $1,500. Completely unacceptable. If this is how AT&T treats a business customer who transferred SIX lines to them, potential customers deserve to know about it.
