Lazy customer service, wouldn't help with menial tasks even though I'm an AT&T customer.

Have yet to have a bad experience with the folks in this store. I live nearby so I always walk in to pay my bill, and they are friendly and helpful, no matter who happens to be working that day. It's rare indeed that a customer service agent at a utility company appears to be on your side, but that is always the feeling I have here. I recently had a number of issues with my account, and the kind workers I spoke with gave me sound advice and did all that they could to work through the kinks. Now, the service through AT&T itself has been spotty lately, I won't lie. I've had to reset the router more than once. But when it comes to customer service, they are top... and worlds better than Cox. Wifi is quick too, even if it cuts out a lot. Thanks for hiring good people, AT&T. read more

After waiting over a week for a replacement flip phone (that I ordered from Amazon) for my 85-year-old mother, I brought it to this store to be activated. Bryan C greeted me and we thought he'd simply have to switch the SIM cards and get her up and running. WRONG! The phone wasn't compatible with ATT as stated on the website. No worries! Bryan was patient and thorough. After trying several options to get it activated, he suggested I buy another phone. I agreed - he activated it within a few minutes, and I was all set! This guy was awesome! My only issue with this store - and it's not their fault -- the website states that it opens on Sundays at 10:00. I arrived at 10:15 and the sign on the door said it opens at 11:00. I took a leisurely drive along St. Charles Avenue to kill time. But, other than that, the experience was great. read more

If you ever have to go to ATT on St.Charles, ask for Tyree !! He's outgoing, has a great sense of humor& a knowledge of the products like you wouldn't believe. There was a young lady sitting at the desk in the back ( I never got her name ) , but she was fun & funny & like Tyree, made my experience there so much better than I've ever had in there before. Buying a new phone was what I was DREADING - the cost alone was off putting but knowing how the employees had been in the past ( like they hated being there & certainly didn't want to help anyone) I was SO reluctant to go in there. Having said that, I'm SO GLAD I DID !!!! I not only bought a new phone that I had been putting off for MONTHS, I was happy to do it. Why ? Because Tyree made my visit there most enjoyable. So if you are needing to go into ATT, make sure you ask for Tyree& be prepared to laugh & enjoy yourself. I guarantee that spending your hard earned money won't be as hard as you think it will be. He is employee of the year in my opinion I I thanked him for being so helpful with an elderly lady and he said no problem this is my job and I enjoy it. If, for any reason, you need to come to At&t in New Orleans you will probably end up at this location on St. Charles. In a thunderstorm. With 30 other people just standing around waiting. Don't ask me why. I've been to this location a few times and while staff are very friendly (i mean really cheerful people!) the looooong wait to be helped can drive a person crazy. There's just not enough people working here. No one wants to be rushed when buying a new phone or figuring out their service. So the care that the employees put into helping their customers is right on. But, that means that you will literally just stand in a corner hoping they call on you for a long time. My first wait was 20 minutes. My second wait was 45. I don't know if I can honestly bring myself in there again. Maybe i'll pack a picnic and just set up shop on the floor. What would help this location is if they implemented a sign-in (kind of like an Apple store) where you knew that you were on a list and would be called on. Here, you just walk in (they might acknowledge you) and wait. People try to jump in front of you when the next available employee becomes free. But there's no way for them to tell who is next unless they're keeping a list of our faces in their minds while working with customers. read more

I went in to upgrade my iPhone with my daughter today. I was already a bit apprehensive..... new phone and all. This location has been serving me quite well the last two years. But today......... today........... great location, safe parking, great products but the Rep that helped me.......I understand working with the public is hard but dude..... you need to do something about the hair. Why did you keep playing in it and rubbing in it the whole time we are sitting at the table talking business? Hair follicles were falling all on the table. And furthermore what questions were you asking in order to go to the safe? Between the hair follicles and the disheveled look of my rep, he just grossed me out. And at least clean your glasses.....I had to escape with my sensibilities. So with the politeness that my momma taught me, I told him with the tax added it just cost too much. Scheduled an appointment several days in advance. Arrived five minutes early. Waited for over 20 minutes to be helped. Then waited some more as they refused to let me make a change on our family account. I had to call my husband and "get permission" from him to add a phone to our plan, despite having signed reams of paperwork when we began the family plan showing we were joint actors on the account. I guess being an AT&T customer for more than 10 years, and being on this particular family plan for more than 2 years, doesn't entitle me to service without getting my husband's permission. Hey, 2017, you look so much like 1917! Giving one extra star (Yelp won't allow zero stars) because when someone finally helped me after a 30 minute wait past my scheduled appointment, Iryell was professional and efficient in setting up what I came in for. She did a good job navigating challenges that arose in adding the phone to our plan. read more

Had a great experience I walk in 12 employees welcome me with so much energy I really enjoyed that part but Armond (I spell the name wrong more than likely) and Cam was freaking amazing they help me with everything keep doing a great job guys but overall I would recommen anyone to AT&T and would refer them to Armond and Cam giving 5 starts to these great gentlemen but the only disappointment was it AC was broken no water etc for the inconvenient for customers... read more

For several days my wireless service line has been giving me trouble. Given this weird situation, there was no quick fix. I visited multiple ATT stores and talked to multiple ATT reps over the phone. However, with the exceptional service by Diana she went above and beyond to solve the problem. After multple phone calls and troubleshooting, Diana didn't give up on me. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, and is a huge asset to ATT. Thanks a bunch Diana for all your help! read more

Quite bust on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 pm. Three employees helping people, could have used a few more. The lady that checked me in was not pleasant, she didn't ask me what the problem with my phone was just put me straight on the waiting list. Another employee started helping other people that came in after me and she asked them immediately, while checking them in, what the problem with their phones were. I had to wait about 20 minutes before someone finally called my name which was next in the cue. It was quick to file an insurance claim once someone helped me and only cost around $112. My phone was having trouble reading the sim card and could not connect to service. New Phone will be mailed to me in 2 days. I get to keep my old phone which can still only connect to wifi, I just have to send it back once my new one arrives at my doorstep. Took 50 minutes to complete everything. read more

Convenient store for anyone in Uptown, Central, or Business District. Its a smaller store, but they always keep it well-staffed. Can't say enough about their service. There is very limited parking in the area. On my visit I had to have my brother drive the car around the block while I went in.

Whatever you do make sure that you get everything that these people say in writing. Even then you may want to get an attorney to take a look at it! Traded a phone in over a year ago that was in perfect condition. I only did so because my wife was getting me a new phone. When I asked about how I wanted to get the X that I had read was coming out in about a year I was told that there would be no problem. I asked numerous times because it seemed too good to be true. I was repeatedly assured that I had such a high value trade in that it would not be a problem. I then came back when the new iPhone 8's were being released to decide if I wanted it or if it was worth waiting for the X. At that point I was told that since I still had a couple of months to pay on my 7 that I should probably just wait and then I would have no additional charges. Well I came back tonight with my wife and daughter to trade all of our phones in because it had been long past when I was told that I would be ok. Well now the story is changed! All of a sudden I have 15 more months to pay at over $20 a month. When the manager came over he told us that there was nothing that could be done. When I asked what would happen to the employees that lied to us he said that they were no longer with the company. He was very matter of fact and when I got more agitated he said that I needed to calm down. I guess that you should keep a smile on your face while they put the screws to you! We have numerous services with these people including Home internet, alarm and satellite tv (which by the way is something else that they screw you on!). Needless to say, we will be switching all of those services when the contracts run out. Which reminds me, I guess I should go check the fine print on those contracts too. I might be making payments on them for another decade! Be careful when they tell you anything! read more
