As per usual with this company, my experience with this AT&T store was just as lousy as every other point of contact I've encountered. With gas being six dollars a gallon I called the location first to see if they had the product I wanted. They said they did so I asked them to put one aside for me and they said they can't do that, they have plenty and they'd "see me soon" before hanging up on me. Pretty sure this was the manager, because when I did get to their store, he was messing around on a computer in the corner and was answering the phone. I purchased what I wanted with a promo card they sent me after MASSIVELY messing up and forcing me to file a FCC claim. There is no way I would ever give them a penny of my actual money. They said we needed to pay to replace my wife's screen on her current phone to be able to get an 800 dollar trade in for the phone she wanted. After we paid 200 to get her screen replaced, we returned and hour later just for them to tell us that we cannot trade in the phone for the the new phone we originally asked for. We confronted the staff member who originally told us to replace our screen and he told us to hold on so he can put something in the back. He never came back out. The whole environment feels sketchy and like you're getting scammed. I did a trade in for a new phone online. They gave me the option to either ship the phone through the mail or trade it in in-person at a store. I get to the store and I end up waiting about 20 minutes to be served even though there more more employees in the store than customers. Whatever. The guy helping me was polite enough but his tech wasn't working so he had to go to the back and get another one. A little frustrating but whatever. He enters the trade in information into his tech and tells me that it says m my phone has already been traded in. The phone that's sitting on the table in between us. He speaks to another employee and they tell me "you're supposed to ship this back." I explain that online, it told me to go into any AT&T store, he tries to tell me that I have it wrong. I pull up the actual email from AT&T, attached, that tells me to go to any AT&T store and trade it in. He speaks to another employee and this employee tells me that I have to contact customer service and get a box for shipping. Sorry. This store wasted my lunch break. I call customer service and they tell me that the store should have accepted my trade-in, they don't understand why they didn't. Overall just a very frustrating experience. It's a nice store in a great location so I felt confident that they'd help me out with my dilemma. The customer service employee failed to file a claim that ended up costing me over a $1,000. Background: I upgraded my phone, the store didn't have it in stock so the new phone had to be mailed to my home. When the package arrived it was just an empty box. I immediately went to the store to report what happened even taking the package with me. The employee stated they needed to file a "lost in transit" claim. If I wanted to re-order another phone I'd have to pay another tax fee of $120. After going through this experience I no longer wanted to upgrade my phone. I just had to consider the $120 I already paid for the lost phone a wash. Turns out the employee never filed the claim and I started getting charged for the new phone that I never received. It's been 5 months now and I'm still trying to get ATT to rectify this mistake. I don't like to right negative reviews but these types of mistakes can really hurt people financially. Came in to look at phones. They asked me if I needed help. I said no, Just looking. I was walking around looking at the phones and comparing the sizes by taking pictures. I'm looking into getting a smaller phone since I have a larger phone and one to reduce the size. Apparently you can't take pictures of other phones trying to get decisions from other people. I was on the phone talking with my friend and the representative was rude and interrupted me and told me because I'm taking pictures he has to help me. I told him I was comparing sizes of the phones seeing which one would be better for me. While I was still on the phone. I told them I have a business account and I'm looking to get a phone. Came in to the ATT corporate store after being referred over from a non corporate store(how is a customer to know who does what) after driving out of my way to Lakewood I get there about 1115am did not get help for about 35min and did not leave the store till about 2pm I had a newer employee try and help but since he has only been there for 3 months his knowledge was not there (do they not do training prior to helping customers) I'm not going to put him on blast because he did want to help but they systems in place prevent them from helping customer needs. Then we brought the Manager in to help and she tried to help but seems like she is just a messenger and it comes from above her on why they are unable to help. I bought two wrong phones online and was advised I can return in store. NOPE that is false. They did help me get the return receipts and printed for me still having to take it to another place to mail it back. So like any business let's take a return and try and sell something. So they advised how I can save money if I was to move to Directv Gemini to get access but with the internet and not using a satellite dish. We go through trying to set up the account but unfortunately it will not get past the screen in getting the authentication code. So they advised it might take a little bit for the order to go through. So I leave and try and get it going at home to no luck called Directv and they are having an issue with the app or something. So was unable to set up. Called again today and asked if they can reset my a account so I can get it working. Nope unable to do that and I need to wait the 24hrs for it to unlock again. Really if I would of known I was going to have this many problems. I would of not signed up so now I'm ready to return my new phones and cut Directv and stop paying them $500 a month for both services. Be warned customer service is a dying art form. read more

This is a mixed review. I rate the staff 5 Stars. I've been to this office before and dreaded having to go but I had to. Luckily, I had Melanie. She put great effort in getting me the best discount possible. Subsequently, when I went to turn my phone in for a rebate, I was fortunate to work with Amairany. She was also very knowledgeable and personable and made it painless. So why not a 5-star rating? Not the employees, but the documentation. AT&T has a funny way of not having in the paperwork what is agreed upon. I was told that I would get a certain amount of money for my phone that I was giving as trade-in, but the receipt I was given was for $0.00. Makes no sense. Everything is, "well, it will show up later", or "after a cycle or two you could do that". I'm in real estate and could not even imagine having documents not inidcate what was agreed upon. I feel bad for the employees having to deal with this. You guys really need to change that. First let me tell you, I was NOT expecting to purchase a new phone. I was good with the one I had. But I hopped out of my car and my phone dropped face down and the screen shattered. (Sad face) So we all know purchasing a new phone can be low key like buying a car. It takes ALL DAY! But I had the privilege of getting a sales rep by the name of Giovanny P. He was so chill, friendly and very informative. He didn't pressure sale or expect anything. He actually wanted to take an extra step to see if I wanted to pay my deductible and get a replacement phone. Instead of buying a brand new phone. Fast forwarding to the end. When Giovanny checked my account, I actually had insurance on my phone. It was paid off and I was eligible for an upgrade! (I KNOW RIGHT! LOL) Win, win right! So I decided to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. AND I was able to get my Samsung watch that I've been wanting for a while. Because I am android user and a huge fan of Samsung it didn't take long to convince me to upgrade to the Samsung 8. The transfer was fairly easy but it did take a little longer than expected because I had to transfer a few files. But Giovanny was so cool, we talked about my upcoming wedding and ironically customer service. So the process was very smooth with transition. She checked my phone thoroughly and said she was going to credit me 1000 dollars for my trade but not to worry that I could come back and turn in my old phone at a later time since i needed it still to do the transfer of data. it seemed odd to me but i agreed. I come back 3 weeks later to turn in my phone, nothing had changed, my phone was in the same condition and now the supervisor is telling me that they cannot offer me 1000 credit because it has a small chipped area on the side. they want to offer me $700 and charge me the 300 difference. SCAMMMM then she intentionally puts in the system that my phone is only 64gb when i clearly told her it was 128 GB. this is how they scam people in to upgrading. Unprofessional and all this is being done under the supervision of Bobby an asian male manager. The girls were rude and unprofessional taking advantage of clients and making them fall victims of upgrading while promising higher amounts of credit and once you are stuck with the new phone trying to charge you more. make sure you turn in the phone right there and then. read more

Terrible customer service. I've been coming to this community store for the longest time and evidently the service has deteriorated. Can't believe sales associates are so laid back and settle customer sales or service issues with minimal effort or assistance. Gone are the days when reps goes above and beyond for customer service satisfaction. I was told that this branch is an authorized dealer, how come they have limited access to customer transactions to fully assist them. Why are we asked to call 1-800 customer service from their landline service phone to seek assistance for inquiries not found by them on their web info instead of them to speed up the process since they speak the same tech language. The branch so called manager Kimberly tried to help the SA assigned to me, but I guess out of frustration that she was unable to to locate my transaction asked me to call the 1-800 no. Explained that I already spoke with a customer service specialist and was told to go to a branch or authorized dealer and my exchange or return can be facilitated. On the other hand, the said manager said that certain accessories can't be returned or items might be purchased for a discounted price requiring a physical receipt ( neither of the two was true). No invoice receipt was sent to me via email nor together with the package. But the worst part was as the leader of the group she was not firm, instead was glowering at me in front of the SA and stated that calling the service line will not help me with my refund/ return as I will just be given a return label. Went to this store twice for same concern and nothing was resolved. Very frustrated, I finally called 1-800 customer service and spoke with Naya who was very patient in assisting me given the scenario. She verified that the sales invoice is being issued for the first time thru my email and should sufficient to process the return. Third try for return/ refund with physical receipt still to no avail as they still can't find in the system. Either they just don't want to do process return as it was not bought from their store or they just don't want extra work. Not that the store was busy during my 3x visit. We checked in outside and told them we wanted to upgrade to the new iPhone. They told us the wait was about an hour which was fine. However, when we finally got inside, they told us they only have the IPhone 12 and not the pros. They could have told us in advance that all they had in stock was the 12 just to save us some time. Unacceptable behavior before I even entered the store. So I bring my phone as a trade-in device on bogo deal. I entered the store and the security guard stopped me. Had the audacity to ask me if I paid for the phone. Did she not just See me walk right in front of her from outside? There is a reason this store has such a low rating. I came in here because we had a family plan for mobile service with 4 of us on the account. The primary account holder died so i went to have my # and the 2 remaining lines put on a new account under my name. The manager, Hai, told me this wouldn't be a problem. I knew our montly bill would be around $200 since we have 3 lines and are financing 2 phones. I received my first bill for just over $315. I called customer service & asked them to break down the charges & realized Hai had seperated my number from the other 2 numbers causing an unnecessary & undisclosed additional monthly charge of $75. I was told I'd have to go back to the store & manager who originally created my account. I went to the store & was helped by Manny who was actually very polite & explained everything so i understood where the error was. I had already asked the phone customer service to put all of our numbers in 1 group in order to remove the additional charge on future bills. Manny was kind enough to have the $75 removed from my current bill and was very helpful. When a 3rd employee explained to Hai what the errors were, and that they were the fault of a mistake Sprint made with my old phone #, he didn't seem to care & said it was all "unavoidable". His brand of customer service leaves alot to be desired. I won't be returning to this store or recommending it to anyone i know. Once the phones are paid off I'm going with Verizon or Sprint.
