This is our closest AT&T location, but in the past the customer service had been atrocious. We decided to give them another chance, and I am glad we did. Omar was extremely knowledgeable of the plans available and helped us with all of our account issues. I made an appointment to purchase a new IPhone on January 8 and arrived early. Jennifer W, who was very knowledgeable and helpful assisted me with this purchase. All I wanted was to purchase an upgraded IPhone, nothing else. A lot of additional information was thrown at me regarding plans, additional service options, additional products which I had no interest in and made that clear. Another salesperson then intervened and was very pushy about these additional services to the point of insulting me. When I declined the service his comment was "Boy I wish I had your money" insinuating that I was foolish for not taking the offer which was very insulting to me. I'm not sure why he even joined the conversation when I was dealing with Jennifer W. Nobody asked him. The more he talked about these additional services, the less interested I became in this transaction. He was unprofessional, pushy and rude. At the end of this appointment I was able to purchase a IPhone 17 and move on. It didn't need to be this hard. Hard sell tactics are unwarranted when the customer knows what she wants. read more

Overall decent service, bought a 14 Pro Max and was in and out fairly quickly but they did however tack on an extra 16 and 17 dollar over the course of a two month period. Just be careful and don't let these guys get ya. Good phone tho. read more

As I entered the store I was immediately greeted by a very friendly employee who logged me in on her iPad and asked what type of service I needed. She informed me that a salesperson would be with me soon. I found the 3 phones that I was planning to choose from and one of them (of course the one I was most interested in) was dead. I asked the person who greeted me if there was another, as I was really interested in seeing the screen and attempting to type with one hand on a device wider than I am accustomed to using. Her reply was, "No, we don't know why that keeps happening." So a person is supposed to make a decision on a phone without seeing the screen display or any features? (I will add here that this was the latest model of iPhone, one that I am sure many customers are wanting to evaluate). I measured the device's width and found a similar sized model in another brand in order to gauge my ability to use a wider phone. I was assigned a salesperson who was very professional and patient, but answered many of my questions with, "I am not sure" or "I don't know, that phone is very new." The employee's basic knowledge of apple phones and setup was very good, but was lacking in specifics about the newer models. Thank goodness I had done a lot of reading on the internet before going to the store! However, that being said, I must talk about the kindness and patience demonstrated by the salesperson. There was a problem with my apple account that took some time to resolve. I left the store and came back over an hour later so that the salesperson could finish assisting me with setup of my new phone. The salesperson picked up right where we left off and was very patient and even helped set up my old phone for my husband's use. In trying to decide between 1 and 2 stars, I am giving a 2 only because of the kindness and patience of our salesperson. I would hope that the store manager begins to ensure that working products are on the sales floor and that salespersons become knowledgeable about the products. read more

Went in looking to understand options for a new business plan and switching from Verizon. 5 reps there talking and playing on phones, no others in the store. Sales rep was not helpful at all. Asked two questions then quoted a price. Didn't break down or offer options. I had to keep leading the conversation and asking questions. Seemed very disengaged and not wanting to gain new business. Left after about 5 minutes and he didn't try to give us his name or take ours. Love our internet with them so was hoping to get the same service and deals but very disappointed. Went straight to Verizon and they asked me about the business and tried to understand needs. Deals for switching may not be as good but customer service 200% better. Ok, 2 stars is probably more than this deserves. If you are in retail sales you need to research your product and be prepared to answer consumer questions with more than 'I'm not sure, this product just came out'. My wife and I experienced this last Saturday at the At&T store near Shelbyville Rd and I-265. In fact, we knew more about the Apple i-phones from our research on the internet. If you need info on Apple i-phones go to the Apple store in the Oxmoor Mall. The place is alwasys busy but worth the wait; especially with such an expensive purchase. I just can't believe that the owner's of s store don't rigorously train their personnel prior to exposure to the public. The phone we were interested in wasn't even operable as a demo since the charging system failed and was not repaired by the store (sigh). Pretty much a blown afternoon at the At&T store......at least they had a nice large screen TV to catch some of the UK football game while they deflected our questions. read more

All my photo albums are lost due to the incompetent help received at this store. I will be the first to admit I am not tech savvy which is why when my phone gave me a message that the internal storage was getting full I took it to the Middletown ATT store to get help moving my pictures to the SD card and Cloud. The person helping me, John, was unfamiliar with my LG phone. After searching around and trying various things the manager came over and between the two of them supposedly moved my photos and freed up storage. I returned to the store two days later when I was unable to access my photo albums. The same person, John, and a new manager were unable to find the photos. They connected me with the pro-tech service and I was informed they had not correctly transferred the photos and there was no way to ever retrieve them. I will not return to the store for service. read more

After much urging by my husband to stop into an AT&T store to ask about losing my Contacts, I stopped by last night. Over the past year I'd experience the loss of my Contacts - super annoying - but had been successful in fixing the issue by uninstalling & reinstalling my email app. However, it's been a week now and they seem to be gone forever. My husband & I were greeted by "Caleb". I told him I had an issue with my phone's Contacts and was excited when he said he could help. My impression of the brick & mortar stores was they were only there to sell new product(s), not assist with troubleshooting. I gave Caleb a quick summary of how my information disappeared and the steps I'd taken to recapture them. Again, I think the issue is hooked up to my Outlook and my Contacts were saved there (note to everyone else ... change your default setting to save them to the device!). Caleb seemed to be listening as he punched random buttons on my screen but he certainly wasn't engaging us in conversation. Periodically he'd throw out a question about my service contract, or ask why I didn't have an iPhone, but nothing he asked had anything to do with troubleshooting my Contacts issue. At one point my husband gave me a weird look, then asked Caleb "what he was thinking" just to get him to speak. Here's what Caleb was thinking ... I probably needed a new phone, I probably needed to change my internet, I probably made the wrong decision having a 2-year contract. And here was what I was thinking ... I probably needed to leave the store immediately before I exploded in rage. Walking into the AT&T store was a waste of my time and I left with a disgusted viewpoint of how you'll be treated in these stores. Caleb was only there to sell me something and make a commission (should've gone with my gut and ignored my husband). When he realized I was getting annoyed and picking up my purse to leave, he quickly said, "Now wait a minute, don't give up hope" - which was the first time he acknowledged why I came in for help originally. He then asked to see my phone again and I let him know that wasn't going to happen. It was just like being with a terrible sales person on a car lot who holds your keys hostage until he's finished negotiating with you. In fact, when I went home I immediately reviewed my phone's settings and apps. I was so leery of Caleb's service that I wouldn't have been surprised if he purposely jacked up something on my phone just to prove that I "needed the new phone". If you are looking for technical help, DO NOT VISIT this store or Caleb. Dial customer service or use a Live Chat agent, who have much more empathy and knowledge for troubleshooting. I've had good luck resolving smaller issues with these agents. If you're looking to be sold to and not just leave with a new phone, but cable services, by all means visit right away. read more

Full of employees ready to greet you and sit you down. Yet their knowledge of what they sell is very low. Each having to ask each other and seemingly only one person is the holder of all knowledge. Been in this store a few times . Huge turn over of staff. Probably why no one knows too much. They were unable and slightly unwilling to help me today due to the store closing in 20 min. They just kept pushing me to go home and call support. As i looked at new devices there was no knowledgeto help me decipher the difference of one to the next. Highly disappointed with the training and management in this store. We were greeted quickly by a very friendly young man. He did mention he was new. We were completely okay with that. Looking to get Apple watches and combine plans we thought it would be a relatively easy process. We were in the store for over and hour and a half! We could tell this poor kid was not properly trained to be taking customers by himself. The problem came when he asked for help from either a coworker or the manager (we don't know which). This person seems off put by answering questions and helping his fellow co worker out. Now mind you this wasn't a busy time at all. There were three guests total in the store. Seeing multiple employees gathering to talk while the guy working with us is struggling is ridiculous. There was no teamwork or anything in this store. After finally completing the task at hand we thought everything was good. However we just got our bill for our changes that were supposed to "Lower" our bill. Haha. It is now almost $150 more than we were paying. The kid checking us out didn't mention any of the start up fees, transfer fees or anything. Luckily we called customer service and they helped us out a bit. I still will not be going back to this store until it is under new management. read more

Walked into store Wednesday at 6:45-ish to finally upgrade to iPhone 7 from a 5!! Met "Caleb" on my way in and recognized him from many years ago. He was awesome in helping set me up with right programs and insurance and explaining specifics. I finally accepted changing over to their Direct TV (UVerse) from The incidious TWC!! Allie (manager) also helped and has been awesome in following up cuz iPhone didn't backup correctly when we used in- store wifi. I did call the store yesterday to ask basic question and guy in phone didn't seem to want to answer and kept saying to come into store. He got belligerent and hung up. I called back and different guy answered my question right off. I told Allie about it and all is well. Must have had bad day. I highly recommend them. read more

This store is a real scam. It's not company owned. They set our account up for 170.00 per month with a written quote. ATT has now billed us 257.00 for two months after a multitude of phone calls. Out of frustration we again contacted the store and they told us " you are on your own". I do not recommend this location. A real nightmare. read more

I had encrypted my phone in settings and wanted to turn it off.nobody could help me so they gave me a phone number to call. I am so glad you can buy unlocked phones on amazon. Customer service was the only reason to have AT&T, and they just don't have customer service anymore. read more

Went into this store on Sunday to see about getting internet service at my residence (which I'm painfully aware that it does not exist since this fiber remodel). I was told there is a fixed internet hotspot service available since they do not provide the u-verse service at my address. I called the customer support line and was on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes then spoke with a person on your support line (Christopher) that tried to sell me several products instead of trying to assist me with my current request. When he finally tells me he has a result on my internet (Uverse) it's that they don't provide it at my location (which I had told him at the beginning of this conversation because I already knew the answer). He stated that he knew nothing of the plan that I was talking about for the fixed internet/hotspot. I've had horrible experiences with AT&T and am not sure why people continue to use this subpar company. Instead of putting in fiber cable, why not work on the customer service. It would be a better use of your resource and money. I would stick with a higher cost provider to get better service when I need it, than to start with something that can't even get on the same page or listen to the customers problems before selling them 12 products and can't fix the first one. read more
