Let me start by saying I CAN'T give a lower rating than 1. I went to this store and ordered a smart watch. I was not sure about the purchase but at the time, they indicated i can return it as long as I didn't open the product. I decided to return this, I went back to the same store and they told me the store manager REFUSED to waive the $50 restocking fee. The manager has the authority to waive the fee but he chose not to. He told me that if I bought an APPLE product that he would do it (presumably due to high resale possibility but NOT on Samsung). So ALL SAMSUNG products will NOT waive any sort of fee if it is returned. I confronted him, told him that it's BS that he was 'unable' to waive my fee. DON'T buy anything from this store as they will not stand by their products. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! read more

To Att management : I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit to the AT&T store location : 185 Ranch Dr, Milpitas, CA 95035 , date : 5/5 2025 , time: 6 pm . Unfortunately, my experience with one of the store associates was less than satisfactory. I was friendly talk to him regarding my bill , but I hate response me very rude" he said " I'm not your friend " , also ask me " if you want insulting me, you can walk out the door " with no reason ...... he was talking to he's personal phone few minutes when I was arrival att store , he got bad mood, but he shouldn't be unpleasant to AT&T customers, keep saying thins acting like a crazy ,...... , I never saw any store associate provide such bad service like that before. I recently visited this store to address an urgent matter and was told the manager isn't usually available daily--try coming back tomorrow. Called today, and surprise: manager's out again, with a suggestion to head to the Fremont location instead. How does corporate justify hiring staff who seem so unreliable and unhelpful in representing the brand? This kind of runaround is frustrating and unprofessional--definitely not the service I'd expect. As senior citizens and my husband in a foot boot, it's hard for us to stand around waiting to be helped. So last week I made an appointment. the store was pretty empty when we got there, so I was hopeful. Greeted right away and we were told they only had one person working but would get to us as soon as I could. That person returns to the back of the store. So after 10 minutes after our appointment, the worker finishes up and goes right over to somebody who just walked in the door and completely ignored that we had an appointment. The store needs to get their crap together. We were going to buy two phones there today and we walked out angry and disappointed. I won't return there. read more

Today, June 15, 2024, I visited the store to upgrade my iPhone. We were greeted by the manager, Luis, who promptly found someone to assist us. We were then helped by Angel. Wanting a quick process, I informed Angel that I needed an upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro. I specified the line I was upgrading, the model, color, and memory I wanted. He asked if we wanted insurance or AppleCare, and I declined, explaining that I take good care of my phones. This is where the conversation took a negative turn. Angel asked, "Why not?" I explained my reasoning. Angel responded, "You do know that if it breaks, you are responsible for the damages." I replied, "I understand and I'm okay with paying for any damages, if needed." Angel then said, "Well, why can't you just pay for the phone upfront if you don't care about damaging it? Can you afford it upfront?" At this point, my husband intervened due to Angel's demeaning tone. Angel then asked my husband, "Well, where do you work?" This led to a verbal altercation, during which Angel stood up and got in my husband's face. We requested to speak to a manager, and Luis came over to address the situation. He assisted us and our experience with him was fine. However, I am extremely disappointed with our encounter with Angel. The reasons for my yearly phone upgrades and decision not to get insurance are my business. Angel had no right to question our employment or financial status. This incident occurred in front of my six-year-old, who was distressed and confused by the conflict. Angel's behavior was disrespectful, demeaning, judgmental, and arrogant. We have been loyal AT&T customers for almost 20 years and have never had such an experience. AT&T needs to either train their employees better or hire more qualified candidates. read more

The local ATT store in Milpitas (McCarthy Ranch) will not even acknowledge the over-heating issue with the iPhone15 Pro line. We went to return said phone within two days of getting it in the mail (the store was out of it when we purchased it). The manager said, "they have not heard of the over-heating issues" and they will charge the $54 restocking fee. This is a mockery of the buying experience at ATT, the blatant lying to customers that pay over $200 monthly. Shame :0( read more

Eh everyone dreads going to the cell phone shop right? Usually that's how our family feels knowing they're always trying to sell you more or in some cases not knowing at all what they're doing. The few times we've needed to make changes or get new phones, this is the location we haven't had any problems at. Been to the Fremont location at the hub several years ago and the guy had no idea how to even activate a new phone. After 4 years one of us dropped a phone in water (oopsies) and needed a new phone. So, we came to this location this past Tuesday after looking online to see what was available at a low cost. They are limiting the number of people inside and take your name and phone number to call you to come back when someone is available. It was less than a 10 minute wait the first day and no wait the next day. Inside there's hand sanitizer at each table and plexiglass on the tables between the customers and employee for COVID safety. Also more hand sanitizer by the door. We were helped by Brandon who was friendly and helpful. He explained that switching to unlimited data was actually less than what we were paying for 30gb and by switching we could actually get a better phone for cheaper than the one we were planning to get. We weren't sure if we wanted to switch and asked if we could come back the next day. He said sure and wasn't pushy about selling anything. After going home and discussing with the family, 3 of us decided to get phone upgrades and we added a line since by switching to unlimited everyone could get a new phone with a discount. Brandon explained all the options we had to add on such as hotspots, phone insurance, etc but wasn't pushy about selling extras. He also helped set up 2 of the new phones including putting the glass shields on with no air bubbles. He also ordered the 2 phones they didn't have in stock. The 2 out of stock phones were delivered 2 days later at home and were easy to activate online since everything was already in the account. Seems a lot easier to get information transferred to new phones these days, although trying to remember all the passwords for each app is a whole different story. So this is the first time an ATT store ever did this to me. I was trying trade in my old device which was a Samsung S24 Ultra 512GB Titanium and did not get a shipping label. So I visited this store to help me get it processed and sent. An associate took my device and said it shouldn't be a problem and said then will send it to ATT. So when I went on my way, I was charged over $600 because ATT did not receive my trade in and told me to go back to the store to find out if they have the phone still or what happened to the phone. When I went back to the store, they said they don't have the device and nothing was at the store had no record. How can a ATT store just lose a phone that needed to be sent out? They dismissed my claim and even the Manager did not care to help. So I decided to make a complaint and file a claim with ATT corporate. I kind of wish I had just kept my phone and did it myself. I am so dissatisfied with their service. Very pathetic attitudes and no customer service. I hate to say it but the most logical answer is the an ATT associate either stole my S24 Ultra or took and sold it off to someone else. Technically the device was still my property so sounds like theft to me. Nobody would be that incompetent where the lose a $1100 device. I need to find a new ATT store. read more

I had a IPhone 6 for over 2 years and paid if off. I dropped it a few times so my case was worn out. The damn charger doesn't charge well either. With all the problems, it was time for an upgrade. The IPhone X was released a few months ago. I was interested with their features - face scan, wireless charging, picture quality, and full screen. When I arrived, every staff was with a customer. While I was waiting, it took a few minutes for someone to book me in line so then I had to wait again. Finally, a male staff came to assist me on my reason for the visit. Plain and simple I needed an upgrade. He offered me a few accessories with 20% discount. I purchased the glass screen protector, phone case, and wireless charger. I was in the store longer than expected, but I got what I needed. I walked out the door with a new phone to play with. read more

He told me to wait in the car and he would call me when he was done with that person. Minutes later he called me and he helped resolve my question. They didn't had that offer to these guys along with their manager convinced me that the other att(authorized retailer) was lying to me. I trusted them and registered for the service later to found that infact these guys were lying, I immediately cancelled the service even though I had an hit on my credit report. Customers be ware. Do not put cash into the machine to pay your bill unless it's the exact amount. On October 2nd 2022 the machine swallowed my $100 bill without giving me change Back, which was a lot more than the amount due. When I complained to the manager and customer service on the phone they told me it's added to my credit (without my permission). When I told them I am willing to close my account they told me that it would cost me a fee of $20. What a rip off from a big micky mouse establishment. I'm closing the account anyway. read more

Jefferson Davis is an amazing ATT employee and a true joy to work with. I hope ATT management understand what a goldmine they have with this young man. I'm a super busy person and don't have much time to take care of problems. Unfortunately, this means I let a lot of network and device issues build up over the year. I was on a mission to try to resolve at least some of the issues this weekend. I walked into the ATT store at McCarthy Ranch this afternoon armed with a list of issues. Within minutes, I met Jefferson. For the next few hours, Jefferson methodically worked through each of my issues until each and every one of them were corrected. The entire time, he projected confidence and acted in a manner that that was always helpful . . . several times suggesting modifications to my plans that resulted in better service for less money. Truly incredible customer service. He took complicated problems and fixed therm all . . . Smiling the entire time. This visit could have resulted in me being embarrassed at all my problems. Someone in Jefferson's position mad they were saddled with me, or just rushed service to get me out of the store. I would have understood if any of these things happened. Imagine my surprise when I walked out of ATT thinking "what a wonderful experience!" ATT management - Jefferson is awesome. Truly awesome read more

I understand that not everything can go well. We showed up before the store opened at 10 am for our 10 am appointment. Others were in line ahead of us and I do not know whether they had appointments, but the website does not allow 3 appointments at one time. Does not matter. No employee asked about appointments. In fact, no employee said even one word to us including the employee who strolled in at 10 minutes after the hour and headed to the back room. After 20 minutes of wandering the room, we left and will never come back. We have been trying to stay very safe and not take risks during the pandemic. Wasting time in a store is not worth it. On the way home, we stopped at another AT&T store where employees were friendly and helpful. Shop around but don't stop at McCarthy Ranch AT&T. read more

I stopped by to get a micro SDHC card. Since I got the phone here, I thought this would be a quick and simple process. But not so. Upon entering, regardless of your need, everyone has to be checked in and be put in a cue to wait for the next available employee. You can't just go up to the counter on your own. This was a Saturday afternoon, and it was super busy. After a thirty minute wait, my name was called, and told the employee what I wanted. He disappears in the back room, and a few minutes later says they're out of stock, and I should go across the street to Best Buy. The strange thing is that each employee carries around a tablet, and one function that's sorely missing is an inventory check of the store. That way, you could be told upon entering that they don't have it, and not waste your time. Other than that, it's a nice looking store with quality products, and the help is constantly on the go trying to keep up with the customers coming in. That is why, after taking everything into consideration, my one star experience results in a four star review. read more

The contract for my husband's number was up on Saturday so I went to McCarthy Ranch's AT&T store to buy him an iPhone and upgrade my plan to a family share plan. Upon arrival Kristine C. greeted me and asked how she could help. I told her what I wanted/needed. She explained everything to me and was all around great. Awesome customer service and very informative. Reception sucks but it's a good thing I barely talk on the phone. It also sucks that I lost my rollover minutes due to switching phone plans. There goes 700+ minutes that I could've used :/ but this review isn't about the company, reception or plans... it is for the store and customer service I received. 5 stars for Kristine C and thanks for making everything painless, easy and pleasant! :) FYI - iPhone owners AT&T store sells the screen protectors for $9.99 and it's for 3 not 2 like the Apple stores. This is the nearest AT&T store near me that I've been going for the past 4-5 years or so, but that stops today. The trip yesterday confirmed that this store doesn't really help (based on my past experiences here). I noticed a change in staff so I'm wondering if they got hit hard by the pandemic. I understand times are tough right now, but the service was brutal. We got there on a Saturday around 3pm. Not sure if that is considered prime time for them, or maybe it was just an unlucky Saturday. Upon walking in, there was about 3 or 4 other parties waiting ahead of me. That is not including the 4 other parties already being seen (so I don't think they were understaffed). The others waiting around seemed clueless as there was no directions on how to check in, let alone if anyone was actually checking people in. We waited around for 20 minutes just hoping this "line/queue" hurry's up. One family left--I don't blame them. Finally, the assistant manager took down everyone's names, however at this point, everyone is really agitated. She claimed we all came in at the same time so there was a rush. I understood that, so upon taking my name down she said it'd be about 45 minutes to an hour of a wait. We decided to shop around the plaza to kill time. THE WAIT WAS 2 HOURS. Absolutely ridiculous. We killed an hour and thought we should head back to the store even tho I never received a call to come back (it wasn't my turn yet, omg). We sat in the store for another hour thinking it'll go by quick but nope! Please don't give us an estimated time that is nowhere close to reality. There needs to be a better system. We were seen at 5pm. Not that many people ahead of me in the queue were helped either. One guy who came in during his lunch had to come back, and complained about the wait time as well. The reps also don't really seem to care much. Customer service is definitely a one star. read more

This review is as a thank you for the rep who helped me, Justin A. I used to hate the thought of needing to go to an AT&T store to upgrade my phone or for whatever other reason. Every single time I went there, they would look into my account to see what else they can get me to sign up for. Unless you have just recently signed up for a package deal with AT&T that includes every possible service they offer, you can expect what should have been a quick 20-30min visit turning into a 2-hour extended sales pitch. With that said, if you go there knowing what you want and what services you already have for Internet, wireless, home phone, and cable tv, you will be ok. The last few visits I noticed that they are no longer pushy with their sales pitch. If you tell them you are not interested, they'll stop and let you go on your way. And if you do know what you have, I suggest that you do listen to their pitch as these days they actually do try to present one that could save you money instead of just trying to get you to give them more money. And based on some other reviewers' comment, looks like I am not the exception. In my case, the guy who helped make my experience a positive one is Justin. When I went to get my wife phone upgrade, we ended up signing up for a package deal of basic U-Verse tv, digital line home phone, and internet. Bad deal? Well the monthly cost was going to be a wash but cheaper in a year if I cancel the TV service. Was promised credit for any activation fee. I went home thinking that I would never get the credit or I'd have to go through a lot of pain to get it. A month later I went back to the store and was out in less than 30 minutes with more credit than what was promised. Most of that time was trouble with the PC software. Third stop was to get a replacement SIM card, was in and out in less than 5 minutes as the guy on the door just gave me a new SIM card and the phone number to activate it myself. Fourth stop I went to upgrade my phone and found out I was not eligible due to changes to upgrade policy along with the introduction of the Next program. The Next program as it is doesn't make sense for most except for those who have to have the latest and greatest phone and doesn't care about money. But I was promised a certain amount of credit that made it a pretty good deal for me. So I went ahead with it. Fifth stop was to claim the credit and was informed that he had misquoted the credit amount, ... by a lot. But, he went ahead and gave me the full credit anyway before I even had the chance to get annoyed. All of my visits were between 11a and 2pm and each time the wait was not bad at all. So, looks like AT&T is working hard on improving their customer service image. Still, know what services you have and how much you pay for those before going in there. read more

I swear to Gee Oh DEE Jeff is by far the worst manager in this place, he is obviously misinformed on what he has to know as not only an at&t employee but as a supervisor. It's honestly beyond me how this guy is even in the position he is in. Here we go: I wanted to upgrade my iPhone and called before hand letting him know that I had a prepaid account and wanted to stop by today to do a trade in and he was well aware of all this information. So I drive 22 minutes to their location and proceed to wait behind 3 customers being helped which added another 20 minutes to the my clock. I'm finally seen and guess what? I can't do trade ins if I my phone is under a prepaid account. Wait a minute, I specifically told the MANAGER over the phone before hand that I am coming to do a trade in to upgrade phones and I have a prepaid account..surprise! Jeff disappeared to the back conveniently, oh and I forgot to mention I overheard him berate an employee whom is at least 15 years his senior for being too loud with the guy he was helping. It was honestly quite unnecessary and it just seems like dude is going through a major power trip. This guy needs to study up on work ethic and most importantly AT&T policy terms and agreements. What a waste of my time and my day, every time I come to this location it's been a circus, a lot of umms and uhhhs and inconsistencies because these poor kids haven't been trained properly by upper management. Been coming here for a few years. Service is A+ and super friendly. Wait can be a few mins or longer but they'll tell you. Worth the wait for the service. On this visit came in at 2pm on a Saturday with no wait. Recognized 2 other past customer service folks who have been very helpful in the past. This visit we synced up with Quang. I surprises him as asked "you got any flip phone as" leaning in to whisper in his ear as if it was a drug deal. I didn't want others to know in the store and bring down my street credibility.. I needed a flip for my dad as his 5 year old is falling apart. Sure enough they had 2.. We found and nice model $59 straight up. Quang confirmed for us it work on a international add on plan which was a must for us. We were in/out quickly which is nice. The store is clean with phones and accessories along the wall, open floor plan with tables in the middle, top 50 songs playing and tons to tech around. Other all I've been to a few AT&T stores and this one is my fav for customer service and merchandising. Was just back as swapped out my mom from an old 4s to a 6s I picked up. Never coming here again. AT&T decided to deactivate my phone for NO reason while I'm in the middle of driving from Southern California up to Northern California. At this point I am LOST in the Bay Area because no GPS, no phone calling, no texting, NOTHING. I had to drive to a god damn Taco Bell and ask for the wifi. My case was escalated cause I called them on the phone and the man insisted I could get my phone deactivated at the store branch so I went into this one. An employee helps me and she takes my info down, stating she would be able to assist me today. 1 hour later a random woman comes up to and says "what are you waiting for?" Can you not read your own notes your employee took down for you earlier? She had me re explain the entire situation. Lazy. Unprofessional. Time wasting. Then she proceeds to says she can't help me unless I'm authorized to make changes on the account. First of all, I am stranded in a strange city. Second of all, how do you expect me to call my mom to add me on the account when I have NO call service? Third of all, WHY would I be on the account if YOU deactivated me? Seriously people? It's like I'm standing there talking to a wall that bounces back different answers each time with all of them being wrong. She presented me with an alternative -- to get the SIM card and have my mom call in to activate it -- another employee walks by eavesdropping and says "hey I don't know if we do that anymore I think the policy changed." So I asked her if it's true and she says she doesn't know. How are you helping me when you don't know if your solution is going to work...? I slept in my car last night like a homeless person because I was alone in a city with no phone and no idea where to go except Taco Bell. I kept explaining this to the employee that this was not my fault and I simply needed the phone to get turned back on and she continued to present the same alternative that isn't even actually a solution since they're unsure if it's in their policy anymore. Needless to say, we are leaving AT&T forever. You guys do not care about your customers. And if you try to delete this review I will repost it because people need to know that you guys DO NOT CARE and ONLY WANT MONEY. read more

I give 3 star because AT&T itself only deserves 1 star. But I give this AT&T store a 5 start so the average is 3. I signed with AT&T in August. But on top of the correct bill I also received a bill that did.not belong to me. After spending 2 hours on the phone with its customer services I thought it was resolved. A month later I got the bill again. Another hour on the phone again and the morons at AT&T was not able to figure out why. So I came to this AT&T store.
