This is a preferred auto shop being that it's close to home and one of the 2-3 locations in Milpitas. Knowing what I need when coming in helps speed up the process. Customers are usually in and out of this place. Came for a visit on 11/11/25, on what seemed to be a busy afternoon and apparent staffing shortage. No biggie. Entire interaction took about 20 mins. I went straight to the aisle, not knowing what I was looking for. So I approached the counter and told them what I needed, but needed recommendations for something that wasn't necessarily the cheapest, but a replacement of inexpensive wiper blades. Omar looked everything up in his computer and found options. Shout out to Omar who originally delegated the assistance to his colleagues since he was busy at the front cashier, but ultimately was the one who helped me changed my wiper blades and was extremely friendly about it. Said I was gonna learn how to change my wiper blades last year, but I'm obviously back tonight since I never remember instructions. But Omar assured me not to worry "as that's what they were there for". That's the ultimate customer service you can always be guaranteed at this store. I needed a new (small) battery for my Prius, and I was able to get one without trouble at this O'Reilly, which is conveniently along my route home from work. The employee helping me was easily able to look up the right battery type based on the make and model and even offered to help me carry it to my car, as it was a bit heavy. While I didn't take him up on it, I appreciate the thought and that he held the door for me on my way out. When returning the old battery, the employees in the store at that time were a little less attentive (maybe there's more stuff for them to do in the daytime, so they were probably busy), but still polite. Hopefully I won't be needing a new battery anytime soon, especially since it's kind of a pain to replace on a Prius, but this is a convenient and satisfactory place for my future car related needs. read more

Absurd...I only came here because AAA driver was kind enough to call ahead and checked to see if the battery I needed was in stock, spoke to Michael and got price quote $220. I came and a young gentleman said he was Michael but didn't answer the phone and someone used his name. Problem 1. He then rang up battery and slid it toward me like, here, have at it. Problem 2. Didn't offer to carry to car or install it for me. I then asked for someone to help me install and he said pull car up front. From then on it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing at all. Had another associate, Massood, to come poke around and it was like the blind leading the blind. I came in store a spoke to Jesus, the only person who looked like he knew what he as doing to ask if changing a battery for hybrid is different from regular car and was assured same process. He came out to over see but was called back inside to put out another fire. Michael then mumbled "it's fucking annoying bc I don't know what I am doing" Problem 3. It's okay to be up front at the start and give me option to wait for someone to better assist than to fumble and bumble with my car. After a long wait, Jesus, came back out to complete job. I thought transaction was done bc no one said otherwise, was going to take off then Michael said, "u want ur $22 back for core exchange?" Uh yeah, I already wasted the better part of an hour watching this circus, imma recoup what I can. Ludicrous! Don't let cashiers attempt to touch cars unless they are trained to do so. If you don't know how to do a task, ask someone who is trained to assist customers. Protip, if u have to come here, ask for Jesus, the busiest guy here bc he is the only competent worker I encountered today. First & last time coming here. If I didn't have to leave a star, I'd leave negative 5 stars instead. I never leave bad reviews & I don't mean to sound so negative, but my visit here was terrible for a number of reasons. I visited around 3:15pm on 10/29 and there were probably about 4 guys working and 1 woman working, all around mid to late twenties. 1. Walked in and wasn't greeted. Not a big deal but it was the fact that an employee was standing right by the door, stared into my soul and still didn't at least say hello. Very odd & rude 2. I circled the store for about two minutes, obviously didn't know where the stuff was. At least 5 people were working & nobody offered to help. Eventually I found the right aisle 3. I get employees have friendly conversations with each other, but the people working were inappropriately talking about the appearance of a woman from some tv show (???) and using inappropriate language. Everyone was also just standing around and not doing anything whatsoever. When there's customers visiting, at least pretend to do something. Like hello?? 4. The product I needed wasn't in stock, so then I just left but once again the same employee from when I entrance just stared rudely. I'm not a big small talker but just a wave or small smile doesn't take much to do.. especially when you work in customer service Basically, customer service here is terrible. Showed up at 8:54pm. They close at 9pm. 6 minutes before close. I'm here knowing exactly what I need, some fuses, and the doors locked. The man with the grey mustache is still helping a customer. And I need these fuses, so I'm waiting for this guy because he gotta leave the building somehow. He unlocks the door, lets the customer out. I ask "can I grab some fuses really quick?" 4 minutes until they close. I'd be out before 9pm. And this fucker whispers "no sorry" as he closes the door and locks it in my face. I'm honestly baffled. I get it you want to go home and maybe you got some shit going on and I ask if I can buy some fuses... this takes no effort from you and won't even delay you from getting home there's no other customers at this point too what a piece of shit. I walk in during the middle of the day in the middle of the week. I'm the only one standing at the counter waiting for service while there are 4 or more employees talking with each other in pairs ignoring me for 5-10 minutes. There might be more employees in the back. I know the 4 know I'm there because they're walking behind the counter in front of me while they are ignoring me. Then finally one of them asks me if I need help with something. This store needs employees who will deal with the customers before their own stuff. Is everything so expensive because there are 4+ employees when there are probably only ever one or two customers in the store at any one time? Are the employees ignoring customers because they don't expect any customers to be in the store? Do people loiter in front of the counters? Whoever owns this place should send a secret shopper and see for themselves. The Park Victoria store is much better. read more

Ok so this store is in a pretty shady old shopping center, parking lot is full of potholes. A goodwill next door sorts the donations right there in front of both stores. Oh well. Once inside it's a regular auto parts store. Grab what you need and head to check out where the guy who helped me gave me 5 star service. I wish I remembered his name. A big shout out to the two staff who went out of their way to help me this past Thursday afternoon. I always had my car serviced at the dealership and was used to waiting for the service light to come on before taking it to the shop. This past Thursday a warning light about engine oil pressure low came up on my way to work, so I figured I should get a couple of quarts of engine oil to put in before my long drive back home. As I mentioned about the issue with the store manager (?), he asked me if I had checked the dip stick first (no I didn't), and he then had another staff to go to my car to check for me. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, and while they could not pour engine oil in for me due to understandable policy, he went out of his way to open the cover to find the engine oil cap, which I would not have found if I were to find it myself, since I'd never guess that it's designed so poorly (Acura MDX) with the engine oil cap underneath a cover and with little clearance to pour the oil in. Since I bought a 5-quart bottle and I couldn't pour it in without spilling despite having a small funnel, I went back trying to buy a one-quart bottle thinking that I'd just use the small bottle and then refill with the large bottle one at a time. Hearing my problem, instead of just selling me another one-quart bottle which was more than I needed, the guy came out again and see if he could open a side cover for me. The store manager(?) also came out with a shovel of sand to cover the oil that he heard that I spilled (actually I had a large towel ready so only a few drops on the ground, though the car facing me had a large spill that he was able to cover with the sand). Their excellent service and help was very much appreciated as I might have given up otherwise and not pouring in the oil before going back home, which could have burned my engine since the dip stick showed nothing at all... read more

Wow!!!! Literarily a store full of dumbbells. Needed to get a banjo bolt, these morons are so dependent on the computer to get them the answers that they couldn't comprehend that the bolt that I needed wasn't the bolt that the computer was suggesting. But since the computer said they didn't have THAT bolt (still not the bolt I needed) they weren't able to help me. After going back and forth with some old employee for 30 minutes and getting called a crackhead (why because your incompetence was irritating me?!?) i find the bolt I need in their dorman department. Even after telling them I used to work for O'Reilly, these idiots still went out of the way to insult me and give me every what reason not to continue to help me. Good help really is hard to find I guess. But y'all still gotta at least educate y'all employees and FastTrack doesn't teach those that don't want to be there witch is 90% of y'all employees. I rented a tool kit from this location and forgot to return the kit after initial use within the 48 hour time period. I came to return the tool kit before 72 hours had elapsed, just 1 day over the 48 hour period and was simply refused any sort of refund even though the tool kit was returned complete and Undamaged. Shitty management leads to shitty employees. This store is just trying to con you out of a few bucks wherever they can. I personally have always come to this location for anything car related, but I will steer clear of this store in the future. read more

Just want to thank the young man (employee) who helped me last Tuesday after someone poured a substance in my gas tank. My car was running rough and when my friend asked if I had locking gas cap, we noticed a brown liquid near the nozzle hole and on the ground. The Check Engine light came on and my car would die. He was checking the codes and reading off 3-4 errors. He suspected that the issues could've been caused by the "chemical smell" of the substance he touched on my gas tank. He recommended a System Cleaning product, told me to add it, then fill my tank with gas. I was on 1/2 tank at that time. I ordered a locking gas cap, which he said would be in before 9p that night, and they'd call me. No one called me and I lost a night of sleep, worrying about my car, so I deducted 1 star for that. The Check Engine light was off yesterday so I'm glad he knew what to do! I got the locking gas cap the next day, so just wanted to say thanks for hiring a knowledgeable employee! read more

Came here to get some oil for the car and they are pretty nice here. Very consistent in regards to customer service. If they dont stock it they will order it for you. Prices are very reasonable and competitive. This is the closest Oreilly to me and its my go to place if I need anything automobile related. They do have free oil recycling but everytime we go, its always full. I am not sure how often they empty the tank or maybe I just have bad timing. 4 stars read more

Unethical business practice and rude employees. Went to get oil for a generator. Showed a picture of the oil I need and the woman took me to an aisle and pointed to two options. Selected one of them, checked out and took it home. The electrician looked at the bottle and said it's not the right type. Took it back to the store the following day. Gabriel said he will not accept the return because the seal was broken, which means they sold me a bottle with a broken seal as we never even opened it. I asked to speak to a manager. He went to a woman, discussed for 2 seconds, came back and said he's not going to take it back. I went to the woman and told her that they lead me to an incorrect product, sold me an unsealed bottle and then then refusing to refund is not right. She looked at Gabriel... they both looked at each other, shrugged and both said "it's up to you.' Gabriel then says I'm not going to be 'bullied into refunding so I'm not going to take it back." Outrageous. Not only these people are incompetent, they are as rude as can be. The business practice is unethical and clearly the upper management breeds a culture of rude employees. Worst O'Reilly auto store I have ever been to. O'Reilly is my preferred auto store but this specific one is the worst. I've had multiple bad experiences with them from horrible customer service to getting the wrong part -_-. But this last visit was the last straw. I called in to see of they had a carb rebuild kit, and they said they did and once in the store they told me they didn't. So I said no problem I'll just order it with them and pick it up the following week. I come in 1.5 weeks later, thinking that it's more than enough time for delivery, but they proved me wrong. They didn't have the part I ordered when I came in the second time because they forgot to order it. Even after I paid for it. So now I have to come the next day to pick it up. Hopefully this time they have it. I've waisted time and gas driving to this damn store for a mistake they made, which is frustrating. I wouldn't come to this store if you need an important part for your car, because the employees here are not helpful or knowledgeable and they may not even have the part. This review is for the generous Manager who I met Gabriel . I came in needing help on picking filters and parts and he was more then helpful in his own way. I believe he advised me he was new to this location. I want to thank him for educating me and my boyfriend about the pros and cons of taking my vehicle to a Honda dealership compared to a auto mechanic shop or some else working on my car . He was able to identify that my carbon and air filter had not been changed meanwhile I have been doing my maintence and paying an arm and a leg for 5 Star service at HONDA DEALERSHIP and atleast check all the damn small aspects of my vehicle. If they weren't able to change something so simple out of all the times I came in to get my car Serviced and he noticed it , is a damn shame. My filters were so damn dirty , I was quite angry why I was even paying for having my car service at Honda for. All I wanted was a replacement turn indicator bulb for the rear of my vehicle. I gave the year and model to the person in the store, he found the bulbs (while telling me that they were no longer kept in the right order on the stand) and I went home. When I came to change the bulbs, they were the wrong type and didn't fit the vehicle anyway. I called the store and got a person who simply grunted when I told them what had happened. No apology, just a "what do you expect" tone of voice. They told me I would have to bring the bulbs back, along with the original one, to match them. I pointed out that I didn't want to come unless they checked to see if the correct ones were in stock. Again I was told I would have to bring the original one so they could see what it was. I asked if they had trouble looking at their catalog (getting pretty fed up by now) and under pressure they checked and yes, they had the correct ones in stock. I said I wasn't too happy about having to make another return trip in a vehicle that uses a lot of gas, expecting some sort of apology. All I got was "see the manager when you come in" in the same couldnt-care-less tone of voice. Really awful attitude and NO apologies for the mistake or the inconvenience. I was returning my ac Freon can because its leaking, manager and the lady in a cash regester told me it doesnt make sense that the cans empty, HELLO its leaking that is way its empty, and she was asking me if i have a proof any picture. I show them the cans with liquid freon around it and still doesn't want to change the cans. I'm been buying ac freon in this store and this is the first time it happen. So disappointing. My vehicle, which I take great care of, was recently scratched while parked :( I know right, boo! the driver who scratched it and drove away... I was in Milpitas when this happened. I was looking for a store where I could buy something to smooth out the scratch with and then buff it and polish to minimize the damage. It wasnt a scratch worth taking to a service specialist. I discovered the O'Reilly auto parts right off of 237, there used to be a Party City there before. anyway, I walked in to the store, totally clueless as I've never had to do this before. One of the store representatives so uber helpful, he walked out with me to my car, examined the scratch. We walked back in and looked at some products to remedy the situation. He explained two/three different products to me, told me what exactly they'd do so I have my expectations right and then told me the prices. He did NOT simply try to sell me the most expensive product. I could trust his advice and yes! the product helped a lot! I'd go back here for other car care needs in the future.
