I got a new iPhone from here but my number never activated due to the employee not activating my SIM card correctly so I came back to see the issue and they said it was an Apple issue and to contact Apple. I contacted Apple and they said it was a carrier issue. I came in earlier in the day to switch over to FirstNet. I was never greeted or even acknowledged when I walked into the store. I walked around and sat down for about 15 minutes until a female employee who I assumed was the manager checked me in. She was polite and helpful. I waiting for maybe 10 minutes and was helped by Joe. He was actually helpful and informative. Later in the evening my wife went to switch her phone over to FirstNet while I was at work. She dealt with Andre. My wife didn't have an active sim in her phone so she had no service at all. She had to call me from what I assume was Andre's phone while at the store. Long story short Andre laughed in my wife's face several times after she was expressing her frustration. Andre said there was nothing he could do to help her because I either had to be there or call in to FirstNet. He said no one would answer even if I called because it was too late. He was wrong because I was able to call FirstNet. My wife was frustrated and on the verge of tears as he continued to laugh at her situation (I could hear all of it over the phone) I was LIVID. My wife requested a manager and Andre continued to laugh in her face and said the manager wouldn't be able to help her either. I am furious. What kind of customer service is that? My Apple Watch and phone weren't connecting to cellular and this amazing guy named Lorenzo, helped us with all of those issues. He is the nicest guy and he knows what he is doing. 1st mistake...I regret stepping foot into this store. Clearly this store has issues with telling the truth as I personally experienced along with several other customers. I needed a new phone because the screen cracked on my husbands phone. Joe helped us (horrible sales person)...I should say ripped us off. I was emphatic, I needed to stay close to my current bill of $143. He assured me he could help, said they had a promotion on phones and he can actually get my phone bill $10 less a month. I believed him...2nd mistake Fast forward, I get my first prorated bill since Joe made the changes, I expected to pay slightly higher on the prorated bill... I get a bill for +$500. I was TOTALLY LIED TO AND LIVID FOR BELIEVING JOE...I called AT&T customer service and they told me the reason my bill was so high was JOE...put me, my husband and my mom and 3 separate plans...... 5/21...I go back to the store and speak to the Store Manager, Michael. 3rd mistake, he assures me AT&T sends out bills that are inflated and that is not what I owe. Per Michael, "I don't know why AT&T does this"...(More Lies) Michael gives me his business card and assures me when I get my first bill after the prorated bill he will take care of it...MORE LIES...when I got my first bill it was $193...not the $135 Joe had told me originally. I called Michael last Friday, he assured me he was going to look into it. He has never called me back. This horrible excuse of a store manager is just as much of a liar as the sales person Joe. I have been working with the AT&T loyalty dept. They are a huge help. I spoke to several managers and supervisors regarding this who said this happens pretty frequently. They are constantly having to clean up issues similar to mine. I recently learned Joe put me on a "Next" program I didn't ask for, and also added insurance on my husbands phone that we declined. Clearly all of these add on like extra lines, insurance, new programs are commission to Joe. He does not care about his customers only his wallet. He will lie right to your face, just like the Store Manager. I have filed a complaint against this store. My heart hurts for other customers who have dealt with this kind of horrible business...Talk about "0" integrity. If you need help, your better off dealing with the AT&T loyalty dept. They commit FRAUD or attempt to commit FRAUD on EVERY SINGLE ACCOUNT! Joe told me that I HAVE TO GET INSURANCE AND NEXT UP or they can't help me with my phone upgrade in store. I called him out on his lie and he said a manager can override it which is another lie! He went to tell JESSICA the assistant manager That I knew they are lying and he closed out of my account and didn't complete my upgrade. He said that management makes them lie and I know how it is. So he left and put me back on the queue to wait for Jessica to help me. Chris, a new employee, began helping me and submitted my upgrade for the wrong phone so Jessica had to come over and fix it. She kept it blunt and straight forward and walked me out since she knew I knew their fraudulent sales practices. At the beginning Joe kept going back-and-forth with me telling me Lie after lie fighting back that he was not lying when he knew for a fact that he was and I knew for a fact that he was. He then admitted at the end that management makes them lie which I know all about but the fact that they are so dead set on fighting back with people as if they are not lying when they're committing fraud is crazy. They commit fraud on every single customer account that they interact with and then they fight you back denying that they are doing anything wrong when they know for a fact that they are. And he had the audacity to tell me well you know how it is management makes us lie like oh well. He's the one that's committing the fraud even though management is telling them to do this. So at the end of the day the person that gets fired is the employee that commits the fraud. This is a huge problem within AT&T. Everybody talks about how bad authorized resellers are the corporate stores are just as bad. Because of their shady management and fraudulent sales practices. The fact that this store forces customers to add an additional $23 In features that they are not required to get or they will refuse to help them in store is so out of control. They were blatantly lying to every client that they had in that store. The Customers do not know that it is their choice to add those features. They are deceitfully adding those features without allowing the customers to give them consent they are forcing their hand. Walked into store with two employees and no customers. My question was basically how do enable the vibrate feature on my iphone15? Currently, I'm missing calls. Employee #1 proceeded to try to adjust settings for 30 seconds. It was very clear early into the process he didn't know what he was doing. He went onto Google internet searched for how to do what I had asked and pushed the phone over to me and here you go. My response being "I could have done a Google search, I came in here for assistance". Meanwhile, employee#2 is seating across the room with still no other customers. I turn to him and say "excuse me can you come over here and assist your coworker with getting the vibrate turned on my phone. He continues to stay seated and proceeds to start saying the steps and employee#1 is still clueless. I asked him if he could come over here to help and he looked at me like I had three heads and stayed seated. He then told employee#1 a phone number I can call for support. Which at that point I took my phone and left! The worse customer service ever! I've worked 30yrs in hospitality industry which is focused on customer service and I can say with utmost certainty what I experienced wasn't customer service!!!! In August I switched over to my husbands line from T-Mobile. Customer service was okay. We were assisted by Samantha. She was kind but seemed distracted. It appears she had a party to attend so she left before were were finished. She informed us some changes would not be processed until the next day. Now fast forward 9 months later.... we are paying over $100 what we were told we were going to pay. We have had 2 cases open, only to have to start another case. To be fair At&t seems to be awful all around. But it is absolutely frustrating that we are unable to resolve these issues that started at this Murrieta store 9 months later. To top it off! We are about an hour and a half away and unable to speak with a manager over the phone to resolve this, and can not make the drive on the days that a manger is present because we both have a job! As I sit here on hold for the 3 rd hour of my life to fix my bill and cancel the extra line I was given in this store with out approval. I am extremely frustrated with this location. This is the second time I go in for service and they end up changing my plan and raising my rates . I walked in because my daughters phone broke and I had a another working phone that I needed to transfer her line too. The rep informed me that he could not do the transfer. The only way to activate the working phone was with a new line. So we agreed. He activated a new line on the new phone and would cancel the existing line. Then my bill came in he didn't cancel the old line and my rate on the new line went up. Then to find out that the rep lied to me about not being able to transfer the line to the new working phone. So now I have to be on the phone with customer service for hours to get it fixed. These rep are all in it for their commissions and taking advantage of people. I put up with AT&T too long. They could not get anything right and if you have a prepaid account they let you know you are on your own. Terrible service, dropped calls, text messages that never appear (lost in the ether). So upon trying to cancel the "prepaid" debit, they couldn't even help with that. I had to go through my bank! "Joe" was less than helpful, told me that he had no way to get into the system other than what I had already done. He also tried to get me return phones to Sams club and buy them from him at this store, without the discounts. I have a trade in for $1000 and they are giving me credits of $27.86 a month until 12/24/2024 and will not give me the full credit so I can pay the phone off and leave AT&T. My phone is not working correctly and keeps sending people to voicemail, it doesn't let me know when I get a txt message and the battery life sucks now. The manager finally called me and promised me a $150 bill credit. A month later still no credit. I called Direct TV directly to find out where my credit is and they were no help and told me to go back to the store. I was "helped" by Sammy and lied to multiple times and never shown any info or contracts before she kept just sending them through but she verbally promised me that this plan would be cheaper and this would be free for switching and doing this or that. Then when I got home and got the emails stating otherwise and returned to the store, that was empty, no one was willing to help me, not even the manager. It had to be this Sammy woman that just so happened to be on lunch so I now had to wait for her to get off lunch.
