Yesterday I spent hours with Steven, a rep. I needed to replace my Lively flip phone with a Spectrum flip. I already had a Samsung Android through Spectrum. Steven wrote a quote of a promotion I could have - internet for $1.25/month, my phone still at $30/month and the flip phone for free. I signed the agreement and went home. This morning I get a phone call from some tech at Spectrum "somewhere" telling me I need to advise him what 2 additional phones did I want. ???? I said I don't need 2 more. He said Steven wrote the contract as such. I said I would call Steven at the store. Guess What? They don't have a phone number!!!!!!!!!! I get Spectrum service on the phone whom the rep was in TEXAS. I told her that I was lied to by Steven at the Menifee, CA store who sold me literally a bit of b.s. After she went around and around with me trying to get me to go along with the way Steven set up the contract, she automatically, without my knowledge transfers me to a man that tries to start telling me what promotions the best for me are right now... $40/month for my cell, $40/month for the new flip phone and before he could tell me how much more money I would be having to pay I hung up on him. This is for the spectrum technician, Freddy, who came to my place this morning. The best experience i think I've had with anyone! He was early, he listened to my issues ...cable was out, internet was out, I had melted wires etc. He fixed everything so quick and even helped me set up some apps on my TV after connecting to internet so now I have so much more to choose from!! He was awesome, knows his stuff like the back of his hand, and that was so refreshing! When companies have good knowledgeable employees such as Freddy, i really hope you treat him well so he doesnt jump ship on you! I walked in at 1:40pm on a Sunday. There were two customer service agents. One with a family (who said they were called up at 1:03 pm) and one going slowly through customers but still going through. Around 2:40 the lady in line behind me started crying and saying she had to go and giving her excuses. The one agent actually going through people took her out of line because she was crying about just needing to exchange equipment and she needed to go. I just need to turn in equipment and I'm still am sitting here at 3:40 waiting to do this even though I'd be faster than then the crying (whining) lady. I guess crying gets you a cut in line. Look, I'm not happy about waiting either but I have to. I guess whomever cry's here gets service first so take note or you'll be waiting a few hours in line like everyone else. It shouldn't take over three hours to do one request as others sit and wait for one agent while one does nothing but wait. If things take this long, perhaps have more agents or logging onto multiple computers since one is doing nothing. However, it's still unsat to get cut in front of and waiting on what looks like someone doing nothing for three plus hours. Perhaps you could figure out why that family took 10 years to get their families phones transferred over or why they weren't asked to come back knowing it would be a longer process with down equipment. If I was coming for new service, I'd have already gone somewhere else, especially after you took a crying customer with an excuse over people waiting their damn turn. It took me less than two minutes to turn in my equipment after waiting over 3 hours! Ridiculous AF and never again!! read more

Not in a position to transfer the service. There were system issues when I got my phone, there were system issues in the 30 days I used them as my provider and now as I am desperately trying to CANCEL all services there is a company wide system issue with payments, so I cannot pay off my phone to unlock it to get the hell out of here. I'm told the resolution could take up to 4 weeks! WHAT?! - I am unable to conduct business - I can't receive text messages/voicemail - I am unable to perform two factor authentications (i.e. my bank) - My kids and family have no way of contacting me for emergencies - I don't have a phone for travel - Medical providers cannot get ahold of me - Anything that uses an app is out of the question There is ZERO recourse. There is no escalation, there is no compensation for halting my life. ZERO stars for customer service, giving a shit or making people whole. THIS COMPANY IS GARBAGE. And yes I escalated all the way to the top, which essentially means the employee hands the phone to their co-worker because no one has to give you their names or any identification. If I could give zero stars I would. Use Frontier and cancel your Spectrum. Do NOT use Spectrum and if you have them check your bill! Cancel them! We just realized they signed us up for services we have never used and we did not authorize (TV and internet). They can see we have NEVER used it and they refused to credit us anything for services we did not use. Cancel cancel cancel. We set up with Frontier and it is going to be cheaper and faster internet. I can understand making a mistake but they offered NOTHING to resolve it. I was even willing to overlook being VASTLY over overcharged and asked for future credit. NOPE. ZERO customer service and they stole from us. Please show them that taking advantage of customers is NOT a good model for business. We just signed up with fiber optic (lightning speed) with Frontier. The speeds are vastly higher and at lower prices. If you cancel Spectrum, tell them this story and that you won't continue doing business with a company that refuses to take care of customers. Had Spectrum for a year and I switched to Frontier when Spectrum doubled our rates. Frontier was cheaper and unfortunately the fibre optic service was not reliable. Went down several times a day. I was supposed to get a special on my account for Internet and mobile phone. Spectrum had to do some construction on their end to get the Internet to my house and in the meantime, they said the special expired. I never got the correct rate that was promised even though I called and the supervisor said I would get it. Next time I called they said they didn't have it in the system, even though ai had a reference number. The Internet was very spotty as well with it crashing all the time. Also would not cast to different devices in the house. As soon as I got Frontier everything worked great for a much lower price. Spectrum does not care about customer service or doing the right thing, do not do business with them. I will make sure that no one in my family, including my children and grandchildren will ever use Spectrum for any reason on any platform or service. read more

I have to admit I dreaded the task of replacing my cell phone provider and my cellphone at the same time. Since my iPhone was no longer supported, it made sense to do both. I was a few minutes late for my Sunday appointment, but Mateo was ready to help me immediately. I will start by saying I was in and out of there in less than an hour, and most of that time was spent waiting for my information to transfer over. Did I say Mateo was great? In actuality, he was outstanding! In the past, I recall an occasion when I purchased a new car and a cellphone on the same day. Believe it or not it took me longer to purchase the cellphone than it did to purchase the new car! That was not the case with Mateo / Spectrum. So far, so good with Spectrum connectivity. I was with T-Mobile for many years, and since their recent merger with Sprint, their service and connectivity have plummeted! It took me a long time to change, but boy am I happy I did. I have my fingers crossed that my service with Spectrum in the future will be free of too many problems. Again, I cannot say enough positive things about Mateo. He was friendly, KNOWLEDGEABLE, courteous, professional, funny and basically a kind, caring human being. He searched the best deal for us, answered all our questions, and was very patient explaining how to stream cable thru the Spectrum App on our smart TV. He took time to print our directions on how to set-up and navigate the App on our TV. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and wanted to be sure we were comfortable with all the info he gave us. Spectrum allowed someone to walk inside and add a mobile account to my name over a year ago. Mind you I have never had anything aside from internet service with spectrum as I get mobile through ATT and have for years. I was surprised to find out about this account, but quickly filed a police report and turned it in to spectrum I was told it would be handled and the account in my name would be closed. A year later when I went to move away from ATT, my husband and I thought to have services through spectrum. why were we greeted to an $1880.80 bill for the same mobile service that was supposed to be taken care of one year earlier. we called spectrum and resubmitted the original police report on record. we were told and have been told that there are extensive notes in the system about taking care of this issue and yet. it all seems to be lies. as if they are sincerely not trying to write off this bill....it's like it's against there policy to eat this money so much that they simply can't be compelled to even help good customers. The account cleared fraud ONE YEAR AGO and was listed they say as ATO or account take over. though it was not sent over to mobile billing to be written off...I have been in touch with them for several weeks now and i keep getting ticket numbers and told it's being sent to this special place of that special place, but with each new call I am told that it was actually not sent anywhere at all. This is the absolute craziest thing I have ever seen a business put a customer through. So my goal now is to shout this story everywhere I can until someone in corporate steps up to get me out of this nightmare situation where their reps are lying constantly and simply refusing to help remove this charge so my family can have service....or maybe I am better off with ATT or T-mobile etc.... Companies should not be able to act rogue this way and someone needs to be held accountable. it's like the people who work in these offices have made it impossible to find them or their emails and the associates who work in the call centers feel untouchable and simple mock the people that pay their salaries through their business.
