I was a Tmobile customer for a long time. Switched over to AT&T and it has been one of the worst decisions of my entire life. Crappy service, slow data, nickle and dimed for everything. Poor customer support on the phone and I always need to go into a store after speaking to a rep for over an hour. If you are thinking of switching carriers be warned!!! AT&T is horrible. I am locked in for 36 months and I dont want anyone else to have to suffer through what Im going through. If you travel internationally, their roaming plan sucks. If you prefer apple care and want insurance, it is very different from Tmobile. I am only able to do a group insurance that covers only a couple phones at a time. It CRAP. No apple care. I highly discourage the switch to AT&T. read more

The service date for this visit was on January 06, 2024. For future customers, you can save your "precious" time and go to another AT&T retail store. My best friend and I wanted to shop near home after a disappointing visit to Ala Moana's AT&T retail store (already posted a review) after getting our new iPhones from the Apple Store. After browsing TJ Max, it was time to head to AT&T to purchase some phone cases to match our newly acquired iPhones. AT&T retail store service at the Ala Moana location was mediocre, so we didn't bother. We wanted to try another store because AT&T carries a variety of brands other than the Apple Store. It was important to us to see all the options available to us. We needed to protect our phones and needed something for the time being. We are not #team-NOCASE. Who has the money for that? We parked our car and noticed the store appeared dim from the parking lot. Bestie and I were still determining if the store was about to close. We checked online and found they were still open. As soon as we arrived, there were about three associates. The first person was leaving, the second was sitting on the seats near the door, and the third was standing and about to greet us. "Precious" was the name of the person who greeted us. Precious asked us what we were there for. The two of us explained that we were searching for screen protectors and phone cases. She responded immediately to my question: Is that all? She should have shown us where the phone cases were located. I had to ask her where the new iPhone 15 Pro Max phone cases were. She pointed and said from there to there at the back. It would have been a thoughtful gesture to walk with us to the designated area and hold and touch some of the products to sell to us. NO. While my bestie and I looked at phone cases, Precious went to the back to obtain screen protectors. The bestie and I were taking the time to look for matching (twin) cases. In addition, where was the other employee? It appears that the other employee (female) and the first employee (male) were discussing something outside near the front door exit. Precious returned with our screen protectors and an air pod placed in her ear to call her associate (female) to inquire whether she was all right. Because he is autistic, Precious advised him to let him go home and not to remain at the office for long. She was on the phone with her associate while we were with her. As soon as she finished, she was eager to proceed with a transaction, asking for my account number, but my best friend and I still needed to decide what case to pursue. I asked if you would mind waiting a few minutes. We have yet to make a decision. Is that okay with you? After that, she waited until we were ready. As soon as we were ready, we proceeded with the transaction. I also mentioned that I receive a 20% discount with my Signature Program Discount through my employer. I thought she would skip over that and end up charging me the total amount, but it turned out that the discount was included. As a result of our encounter with this associate, we expected a better service. There was no sense of personality at all. My Bestie and I were unengaged with the associate. Based on our first encounter, we have already formed a negative impression of her. Our first impression of the store was that it was uninviting when we stepped inside. The worker seated near the door seemed not to enjoy her work environment. All we know is that this is one of the locations my bestie and I won't return to. This location should undergo proper standards and protocol training. These individuals working this shift were wasting their time. There was a noticeable lack of phone cases on the wall, which suggests they should at least clean the store or keep it stocked. It would have been more effective if they had arranged it so that things appeared to be full. I hope management can introduce corrective action to fix their customer service engagement. Listening to customers' needs is essential without being judgmental to satisfy them. You may consider using the golden rule, which expresses that you should treat others how you wish to be treated. On our way home, my best friend and I discussed how retailers like this can get away with anything. Additionally, I read a few reviews about this location. I was shocked to learn that Yelpers had the same experience as my best friend and me. 7-4-22 Love this store in Pearl City in the Cherry On Top complex. We were greeted and signed in as soon as we stepped in the doorway. Shortly after Joshua A. came to help us find a phone for hubs. We chose an iPhone 12 as it was 50% off- we came on the right day. We were super happy as it was unexpected. Hubs has been putting off getting a new phone for years and it was such an eye sore and embarrassment. He is not comfortable with current anything and so this was an accomplishment. We also purchased a Otter case, screen protector and a charging box. Josh was so calm and thorough. He meticulously adhered the screen protector for us. He changed our phone plan to save $9 a month and now it even includes entertainment. We saw two other employees who were very polite and respectful to the customers they were assisting. Did you know that the iphone14 comes out in September? I'm going to hold out a couple months and get a new phone then. Joshua said my phone will be a $1000 trade in/ yee ha!!! Can't wait. read more

This is my first time coming on this store and they give better customer service than other stores we've been to. The rep that helped us is Roberto. Super nice and on point. He fixed all of my issues and he even checked all stores for me just to make sure I'm not missing out on what's on the island! Straight 5 for this guy here. Ask for him if you come to this store. I just want to point it out there that they mostly use tools and if those tools are not working, it's not the rep's fault. It's their system. So angry customers not being able to understand that situation, please just understand them as well. They want to help you but if their tools aren't working, then it's not their fault. Had a bad experience a year ago upgrading two phones, basically the associate just gave us the phones and told us to set it up at home as it was easy. In the past their staff would sit and setup the phone while in store, a year ago she basically didn't want to spend any time on us. We went home and because we were rolling numbers/devices it was not easy and it took a long time to setup. Cut to 2019, time to upgrade another one of our devices. Based on last year's experience I was very hesitant but I did receive good customer service prior so thought I'd give the Pearl City Store another chance...wrong! We made an online appointment and walked into an empty store. The sales person sat with us as I explained what we were doing, basically upgrading my phone from a iPhone XS Max to the new iPhone 11 Pro Max and rolling the XS to my daughter's number who had an iPhone 7. I got the feeling that he didn't really want to take the trouble to process this sale as he made comments like "I don't know why anyone would upgrade their phone to the 11" and "There is no difference between the 10 and 11". There may not be much difference but it should be the customer's prerogative and choice to make a consumer decision. Then he proceeded to really push Direct TV, told him we had Spectrum and was paying x dollars per month. He then proceeded into a hard sales push as to why Direct TV was the better deal versus Spectrum. Now he may be correct but I was hesitant and wanted to look at my current bill and compare it to what the Direct TV costs would be. That's when he started making comments like "Looks like you're fine with overpaying" and "Seems like you're okay wasting money". He may have been 100% correct, Direct TV may have saved us money but that attitude was a huge turn off for us. Kicker was when we were going to walk out and he mentions his manager looked at the quote and we could receive that price for Direct TV if we took the deal in the next three days...felt like I was trying to buy a used car. The entire experience was poor at best, we left AT&T and drove straight to the Apple Store to upgrade our phone there. Apple staff was extremely knowledgeable, great customer service, and they stayed with us through the entire upgrade process including activation. At our next upgrade cycle I think it's time to shop around to other carriers, been with AT&T for perhaps 15 years but it's not very attractive anymore. read more

I have been a AT&T customer for over 20 years. This past year had been the final breaking point in switching carriers. The entire team at the Pearl Highlands is constantly changing, indicating a poor leadership group, hence my issue when there was a problem with my phones. We have the business plan and did not see any advantages over the regular plans. Please be careful when the company automatically charges you for next up and insurance on your bill, especially if you are on auto pay. They will also upsell you when in general normal business practice, deceptive practice is not as the case here. I have been billed for 2 Galaxy phones for months and I have been fighting with AT&T for months and while the company admitted being at fault, they are not reimbursing me. I do not recommend AT&T due to extremely poor customer service both at store level and corporate level. The Pearl Highlands store across from Longs, TJ Maxx is where I had all the issues and this is for business account. There are many other carriers that will do a better job serving the consumer. read more

How upsetting can it be going to upgrade your phone? Come to this AT&T location and have Precious help you and find out for yourself. Let me explain, my husband needed to get a new phone and quick because we leave for a trip tomorrow and his camera doesn't work. Nothing is easy when you come into a store to get help. Especially when you only want an upgrade which DOES NOT get the reps and managers commission like it does to add a line or get direct TV. If they can't swindle you into doing shady stuff, like adding a "ghost line" for someone who is NOT even the account holder (which is the only person authorized to add lines since they run credit on their social) then you basically you are nothing to them. No, we do not want to change our plan. No, we do NOT want directTV. NO I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS DAMN TABLET DEAL. So, if you do not want any of that, expect NO customer service. Finally she brings out the phone. Scans the upgrade. Gives the phone to my husband and that's it. She didn't even take the time to set it up, didn't care about me protecting my phone with accessories. My husband just asked where the accessories were and she pointed and that was it. Left the store with the damn wrapper still on the phone box. She could've at least got her and her store credit for accessories. When I went a few months ago, I bought just an iPhone charging cord for $20, it didn't even survive longer than 3 months before the connector part became all frayed and stopped charging. This past time I went, it was pouring rain. When I went in with my baby and signed in at the front, I told the girl I was having issues with my phone. I had also asked her info on the iPhone 6/6 Plus which she tells me there is no re-stock date for it, but then I overhear a rep that helped the person in front of me that it would be a minimum of 2-3 weeks as he requested to be put on a waiting list. When I finally got called by another rep about 10-15 minutes later, he was just walking around looking clueless, mumbling my name. I repeated my issue with my phone again, and without being apologetic or even very friendly or informative, he tells me "Go to the Apple Store" with no other explanation. Irritated, wet from the rain, and freezing cold...I said "Seriously? So unless I get a new phone, I'm SOL?" He responds in a very condescending tone, "I understand your frustration and I sympathize, but there's no need for cussing." Omg...was this guy for real? Way to treat your customers that have been loyal for a very long time...just another reason to contemplate switching to another carrier. Two thumbs way down, Jonathan. P.S. Iphone 4 is what I was looking for and I know exactly where to get it. My boyfriend and I went here because this place is new and the parking is more convenient than the one down the road from our house. As soon as we got in a someone greeted us and took our names down on the Ipad and told us that a sales representative will help us as soon as one is available. We walked around for a bit and then an available sales rep helped us. His name was Walter and he was very informative and was very helpful. He checked on our availability for an upgrade and was honest about the questions we asked him. He was also nice enough to help me move my contacts from my old phone to my new one. I highly recommend that you see him because he is just so genuine and he knows what he is talking about. I will surely see him again for my next upgrade. It was a few minutes till a much older kinda scruffy guy approached me and took my info to place me on a waiting list. He mentioned that it would be up to a 30-minute wait. No biggie. I just needed questions answered before I make any decision on upgrading my phone. It wasn't that long of a wait time, but the vibe in that store was very awkward, something was off and I couldn't place my finger on it. It wasn't welcoming and it just seemed, ugh, off. When we were finally assisted, I swear, the guy assisting me couldn't have been more distracted and mentally preoccupied. I asked about my plan, about options and pricing. This guy, no joke, kept getting out of his seat to do other tasks. Even though he said that he was "sorry" when he got back to his seat, he couldn have been professional to excuse himself. While he was "assisting me" he yawn so many times that I stopped counting after 5. He kept looking at his phone, never kept eye contact with me and leaned back in his chair like he was at chillaxing at some Pau Hana back yard barbecue or something. So yesterday, my fiancé was paying the bill. It was slow so I ask if it's possible to up grade. So the lady ask my name and number and I was on the waiting list. Next thing , "Dre" presented himself and ask what phone I wanted to upgrade since I have 3 mos left to pay it to trade in or pay in full. So either u pay 3 mos left now or wait in 3 mos. but I was over my galaxy s5. I wanted the iphone6s. So while working on my upgrade, he helped us on lowering our monthly bill. Then my fiancé ended upgrading his phone. And on top of that we added a line for our friend. Dre is really good with customer service and I highly recommend to go see him. What is customer service? You would think putting the customer first and providing fast, efficient, and timely service right? Well, this place needs some help in this area. I recently came into the store to 1. be added to my boyfriend's phone plan and 2. get a new phone. You would think this would be quick and easy. I checked in around 5:15pm and was told I was the 3rd guest on the waitlist and I would wait around 15-30 minutes to be helped. Great! This should be FAST! Well... literally an hour later, I was STILL sitting there waiting! Oh my gosh! There were 3 customers (2 walk-ins and 1 person had an appointment) in front of me and in an HOUR, only TWO people were helped... As I observed, there were more than 5 people working but only 1-2 employees were actually helping customers. I also observed that after one associate would finish up helping a customer, they would go in the back for 10-15 minutes before coming back out to help another customer. After 1.5 hours, I FINALLY got helped and the associate informed me that a plan transfer might not be doable at this time (6:30pm) due to the stores on the mainland already being closed. The associate then said I should have made an appointment. Well, if I was told from the beginning I would need to wait 1.5 hours to be helped, I would have made an appointment for another time and left. But that's not what I was told at the door. When I signed in at 5:15pm, the associate asked me what I was coming in for and I said to make a phone plan transfer. Therefore, if it was not going to be doable after a certain time, I should have been told from the beginning that I would have to make an appointment and return at a later time. What is even more upsetting is a different associate approached me around 6pm asking what I wanted to do and I said to be put on his plan. He then told me okay, I can't help you with that but I'll look in the back to see if the phone you want is in stock. He then returned and said the phone was in stock and that someone will be with me in a couple minutes. Again, they knew what I wanted to get done and didn't inform me that there might be a problem with the service. Also, the couple more minutes was 30 more minutes! In the end, I was able to transfer onto my boyfriend's plan but was then told I was unable to get a new phone. I just waited 1.5 hours of my life only to be helped by an actual person for all of 15 minutes... How inefficient and upsetting! I'm sure if I really pushed I could have gotten them to give me another phone but it was already 7pm by the time I left and I needed to attend a dinner later that day. I didn't think it would take 2 hours just to do something that took 5 minutes to do... As much as possible, I'm going to avoid coming into this store. read more

Went into this store to upgrade my daughter's phone. And the workers named precious, was not so precious. She had a bad attitude. It seemed like she didn't wanna be there or was pissed off about something. Didn't really interact with us, just all around it seemed like she didn't wanna help or anything. I was being nice cuz I could see that she wasn't having it and to show like if I'm being positive and saying thank you, that her attitude would change. But it didn't. After I was done, another customer came in and she assisted him. I over heard him say he wanted to also upgrade his phone. But because of her attitude he left. Please I know we have horrible days, but in a profession like yours where you have to deal with customers and be positive you gotta block all that other stuff out and just do your job. I didn't want to come on here and put people on blast, but how does a worker not give any information on the things a customer is buying and doesn't explain pricing, options, or anything along the lines of actual customer service. My mom went in yesterday with my sister to upgrade a few of our phones as a little Christmas present. The worker, named Precious, did not tell my mom about the different memory options, did not discuss the cost of each phone option, didn't even once mention how much the new phone bill would cost, and never even gave my mom an option to choose. My mom was only able to mention one upgrades choice (a midnight green 256 GB), but then the lady brought out the other upgrades and didn't bother to mention the BG or how much they'd cost. My mom, my sister, and my step father all also got 256 GB, when they don't even need a memory that big and could have gone for the smallest option. If the 256GB was all they had, Precious could have at least said something about it. But no, she continued to push sales and neglect the cutomers actual needs. I wish I could give this place 0 stars and I will be contacting ATT directly through as many channels as needed to make sure someone is following up with us on how to make it right. I am in the process of contacitng corporate and other stores until they call my mother an apologize or fix this as it was truly unprofessional of her.
