If i could rate this Version, it wouldn't even have any stars. My mom went into this store and was not acknowledge what so ever. She said it was not busy at all. She mentioned there was no QR code to scan (since we went last time and had to do that) She waiting almost a hour to be recognized but nothing. She walked out without being helped. This is so damn sad. For a company that has so much benefits, workers can't even work like they're into this job. She had to go to another Verizon to be helped else where. Where she was acknowledged when she walks in the damn place. How are you suppose to advertise these electronics when you can't even welcome someone in your store. We entered the store with the intention of upgraded 2 phones and purchasing a new phone all for our daughters. After informing a worker named Kalia why we were there, she just sat there staring at us. Finally after she got up and walked towards the phones, my husband was frustrated and said "if you don't want to help us we can can another worker". In return she states she will not help us if he continues to yell at her. In fact he was not yelling at her, he was actually very calm given her condescending and disengaged attitude. We finally had it with her and asked Bryson for help who stated he couldn't help us because how we were treating the other staff. We were absolutely speechless. We're long time Verizon customers. We have been to this location in the past and received exceptional service. That's why we continue to return. We did not expect red carpet service, just someone to acknowledge us and help. The branch is always very helpful in trouble shooting for me. I enjoyed the expert Kainoa at the Kapahulu branch. I locked out that day as he was helping out at that office. very good in people skills and expertise professionally. Please train more clerks to be great technicians. I especially appreciated his kit gloves in handling a non tekkie kupuna (elder) who has difficulty navigating around on my phone computer. His patience and kindness helped my experience to be a pleasant one. I live in the Kapahulu area so it was very convenient for me. In the past, I did not have confidence in that branch so I would travel to near Ala Moana branch by Wal Mart to have better service. Their manager at that store was very helpful and didn't make me feel I was so ignorant. He handled my father and I with dignity and respect as he helped my 96 yr old father get his phone repaired. When you finally answer the numerous questions needed so they can figure out how to help you, you wiki discover the store is actually closed although it says it's open until 7! What the heck!!! I wish I could call and make a complaint about a worker at this location, but basically I work in the mall and had just got a new phone for christmas in which I needed to transfer my phone number on because I was with t-mobile and am now transferring to verizon. I am in the process of what they call "porting" my phone from t-mobile to verizon but had an issue come up with the porting. I came to this location yesterday and the workers and the employee who helped me was super nice and helpful but because the call center for porting devices was closed at that time I came she made an appointment for me for today to come in so I can get assistance. I came in today and I was looking for a worker who was on the floor, only one was there and so I was going up to them and they were already giving me a look like they dont want to help me. I mentioned how I had a scheduled appointment to help port my phone and they looked at my confused and started to ask me questions. I explained to them how I went through the process of porting my phone and how they said it would take up to 4-24 hours but my number still hasn't transferred to my new phone for the past two days. They basically continued to look at me confused and they then called over their co worker and asked (in front of me by the way) about what to do when a customer comes in and asks about a porting issue. and the co worker responded about how they would do it and proceeded to look at eachother like I was an issue. and then the person who was helping me responded with "ill tell you later"... this made me upset and frustrated because all I did was come in to ask for help and assistance for transferring my phone line to this company and these workers are now going to talk bad behind my back when all I was doing was asking for help?! I am now questioning my decision to transfer over to this company and also questioning how these workers are trained in customer service because this is NOT what I am personally paying for. they then told me that they can help me because on their end it shows how my phone number in ineligible although when I came in just yesterday they told me it was pending... and I explained to them what they told me yesterday and to sum it up they basically told me I need to figure it out with t-mobile because there is nothing they can do. and for context, they were speaking to me very aggressively and sounded upset with me when I just went in there for help... and to be honest, if they spoke nicely to me and didnt make me feel like a burden for going to them and asking them for help when thats LITERALLY THEIR JOB!!! I wouldnt be writing this review. I also read previous reviews about this location specifically and they have been having customers complain about customer service issues for majority of the year which also makes me think that verizon isnt taking action on this reoccurring issue. I have literally had great customer service at the mililani location but this one was just terrible. if I could rate this location a zero I would but since I cant ill rate it one star :( read more

Kudos to Randall, he is a stellar salesperson & provided exemplary customer service! Storytime: I really needed a new phone but had to go thru a total of 4 different agents. 2 in person at the Moanalua Valkenburg location (not helpful at all), 1 woman online & Randall. To start, I was already in a sour mood because the Valkenburg location I was at wasn't much help. My husband & I spend a total of 2 hours not getting anything productive done, I literally left their store crying. It was an awful experience, I didn't think we could finish this errand. The attitude of the employees was very "meh, sucks to be you. I can't do anything to help you. Just call customer service" I'm sorry, but wtf. Thankfully, my husband wasn't going to let me come home disappointed so we ended up going to the Pearlridge location. Randall made everything so easy for me. My social anxiety wasn't triggered at all + he really knows how to keep a conversation going. He was attentive and efficient. I was shocked at how different my experiences at both locations were. I ended up leaving the store with a iPhone 12 Pro in 10min. Randall is such a wonderful gem, he even convinced my husband to join Verizon (he's with AT&T, gross). Thank you Pearlridge Verizon for making my day, saving my social life & my small business. Moving forward I will only be coming here for services. You guys rock!! This Verizon is located inside of Pearl Ridge. It's a large store with a lot of selection of technology. I received excellent customer service from John. He helped me to get my new phone line set up & was very efficient with it as well. The whole process took less than 30min (or felt short anyway). There was no wait when I arrived & he was able to give me a quote within minutes. I forgot my ID so I had to leave and grab it. Luckily, there was still no line and I was still able to get helped by the same associate. The female worker in the front was very friendly too with greeting and she walked me over to the associate John to get helped, which I thought was nice. People say Verizon is expensive but I got quoted a higher price at T-Mobile for a cheaper phone actually. read more

During my recent visit I had to wait about 30 minutes. The manager kept checking on me for any questions. How nice! I am extremely disappointed and furious on how my grandpa was treated on Saturday at this location. I currently live in the mainland but I am originally from Hawai'i and I don't understand how he was given such poor customer service. Shameful, for an employee to treat an elder in such a way. This is NOT how hawai'i raised our people and I'm disheartened. My grandpa had his prior phone for 5-6 years and when I found out he was paying a little over $300 for his phone bill because he was paying for overage after hitting a certain MB/GB. I advised him to upgrade his phone and plan because that was awfully expensive for one person to pay, for one cellphone service. Ridiculous!!! First off - he was already nervous going in.. because he's not the most knowledgeable about electronics and didn't want to get pushed into buying a bunch of things he wouldn't need. But yet he went - i heard the employee talk to him until he had to hang the phone up to change the service over to the new phone (iPhone 11). My grandpa didn't get the guys name but I heard the way he spoke to my grandpa and he was very much so not helpful aside from trying to sell him a phone charger that could charge through a phone case, phone case, screen protecter and iPad. Come on - my grandpa is almost 75 years old!!! The best thing this guy could of done - was make him feel confident with the basics on the phone and then he may have had a chance to sale him a phone case or something but you don't just change the service to a new phone and expect an older person to know it all. Especially if you saw his prior phone was from 5-6 years old and it was an Android. That should have given you the sense - he isn't quite with the time of knowing updated electronics. My grandpa called me in the car and was upset because he said the guy talked to him like he was "dumb" and that definitely doesn't sit well with me. He is extremely lucky I am not back on the islands. You don't EVER treat your elders like that and my grandpa is a VERY quiet and respectful man. So, for him to call and I have to walk him through how to use his phone and for him to tell me how this guy made him feel. Upsetting doesn't even come close to my frustration. My grandpa left the store, not knowing how to add a contact in his phone nor did the guy even help with trying to move his contact info to his new phone, he didn't even know how much his bill would be every month and when he asked the guy.. if he needed help. He could come back to the store. He told me the guy told him "well, yeah you could come back but why don't you ask your granddaughter. She seems to know a lot about iPhones." That is not a response any phone service provider customer service employee should EVER tell a customer. I definitely will always be willing to help my grandpa - but SIR this is YOUR job. I understand part of the job is to meet quotas and selling accessories etc. But also - customer service is in your job description and as a human. Be a decent person and help when you see someone is struggling and may not be as knowledgeable as you. My grandpa went to the Verizon in Kailua and had AMAZING service today, which made him want to buy accessories for his phone. This is how customer service works! Make a customer feel comfortable and the willingness to actually HELP and selling would come so much easier and SUCCESSFUL. Go to another Verizon store. This store screwed up our phone plan, it took one hour over the phone to fix it. We talked to the manager who said he would follow up and didn't. He played dumb a lot. He put the blame back on us. Flat out the worst customer service. I had better customer service calling the mainland. All these guys care about is selling you a plan. Amazing customer service from the Pearlridge Verizon location on 7/27/21. I wish I caught his name to give him proper recognition but it was the older guy of the 2 working at opening. (And sorry to that guy for forgetting to post this review sooner) The coverage was the best but I had to deactivate my Verizon service in March 2021. My final bill was 16 cents and auto pay, or a using cc or checking account online wouldn't let me pay since it won't do transactions less than $1. For months I went through so much run around in online account, in online chat, even at the Windward Mall store not being a current customer. "Guy #1" at Pearlridge actually listened to my issue and attempts and worked with me to solve it. Even initiating a call to Verizon customer service for me instead of just pointing to the payment ATM which I think they said doesn't give change or take coins. He was super patient and figured how to to access my deactivated account for a cash payment before a phone rep even got on the line. Thank you! While we were on the Mainland recently, my husband's cellphone started to give him some issues...uh, he's held onto his phone for 7 years! While I've been wanting to upgrade my cellphone from an iPhone 4S to 6 and had been "kicking" myself for missing Verizon's FREE special. So, we both went into Verizon Wireless to see what we were eligible for. We were greeted by Jay Bulos who patiently and thoroughly explained the current promotion which allowed for $100 credit toward Droid Turbo with a recycle of any smartphone. Wow! As previously said, my husband's phone was 7 years old but still working so this promotion was perfect for him. We started to make arrangements to to recycle and purchase a new phone for my husband right away. Jay was able to upgrade our data & cell plans while keeping our monthly cost around the same as what we've been paying. As for me, I'm gone ahead to order an upgrade iPhone through Becky and will be back to recycle my 4S as soon as the replacement comes in. We like this store because of the excellent and friendly service from Jay and Shannon (manager). Unlike the other Verizon Wireless stores, this store was quiet and we didn't feel rushed even when a crowd started coming in. read more

As we were discussing about plans, I asked about phones that I may qualify for and to see where I stand with my credit. Verizon Wireless located in the Pearlridge Center. This establishment is part of the Pearlridge Uptown and can be found on the second floor. I have been coming to this shop to upgrade cellphones for my mom and myself. Each time we come in the employees were really friendly. It's the waiting for the next available associate is the humbug part. While waiting for the next available worker...my mom and I would browse around the store. We would discuss on which cellphone to get next. Which cellphone would be easier for my mother to operate. Does she want any accessories to go along with her cellphone? We shall find out when it's our turn with the sales associate. I remember one year we was helped by a male employee named Diamond. That year I opted to purchase couple jetpacks along with the cellphones. The jetpacks are private WiFi connections and has it's own number. (Currently I've been using my jetpack a lot. My mom gave her jetpack to my brother and he ends up giving it to someone else). Verizon Wireless at Pearlridge Uptown would be the place for me to get my mom's next upgraded cellphone. Now that Diamond has relocated to Kapolei...I'll get my phone upgrade from that location. read more

This one star is for the star of the store, Randall. I've been here on two occasions, for both me and my girlfriend. This Verizon store is sizable and easily accessed inside of Pearlridge, so I'd love to continue using their services. However, as long as Randall is still working here, we will be avoiding this location. There are many helpful, friendly employees in this Verizon store, but somehow we have always been passed off to Randall. Is it because he's a senior employee? Whatever the reason, if you absolutely must be here, ASK IF SOMEONE ELSE CAN ASSIST YOU. On my first visit, I simply had to rectify a problem that arose when transferring my line to Verizon. An employee had punched in a wrong PIN on the first visit, and Randall made sure to tell me that multiple times. He was very curt, and did not make eye contact, usually looking down at the table when asking questions. On top of his attitude, the process took over an hour, and he was not pleasant the entire time. I thought he simply had had a bad day, and excused his rude behavior. Still here? Oh good, this is the fun story. My girlfriend wanted to pick up a new phone for her family plan, which her parents control. With the help of some other store representatives, we figured out the payment and somehow got handed off to Randall to complete the purchase. Randall started us by asking what we wanted. Because I was thinking so intently about verbiage to expedite our visit, I remember clearly saying we wanted to "upgrade her device." Remember that. He then told us that he'd be sending a code via text to my girlfriend's mother, to verify that we had permission to make account changes. Before sending the message, he asked if she knew how to check her texts. We said yes. After a minute of waiting, he asked again if she knew how to check her texts. YES, we replied. As he launched into a self-righteous tirade about how the code was time sensitive, we got the text with the code. Then he asked about which device we wanted. My girlfriend isn't as confident as I am about electronics, so she stated her preferences quietly but clearly. Model, memory, color. She nailed all the information, but Randall somehow had to crane is neck towards her, eyes squinted, repeating everything she said like she was a toddler. His tone was unbelievably condescending, like he was berating a pet dog. Upon returning with the device, he dropped it on the table unceremoniously with a basket of random cases in tow. He asked if we wanted a new number for the device, to which my girlfriend said, "oh no, I want this number." He sighed audibly, looked at his tablet with the family plan information, and said "OKAY so you want to UPGRADE your device then? Which number is that?!" This was the first thing I had told him! Taken aback, my girlfriend nodded and recited her number. Satisfied, Randall then asked if we wanted to pay off the device in full or do monthly installments. It's strange to me that this was even brought up, since there was promotion running that gave a $300 discount only if the device was paid off in installments. I asked him if this was the case, and he confirmed it, so I said yes, we'll do the monthly payments for the giant discount. He then asks if we'd like to put $300 down instead and pay monthly after that, which would "be easier" to pay off! This option would be full price! Are you KIDDING ME Randall? I just told you that we're here for the discount, how many people have you swindled because you told them it was "easier?" At this point, I was done. I was on the verge of telling him off, so I just said NO in a loud voice. He looked up, and didn't even offer to set the phone up, just asked if we would set it up at home. YES. Do you want to purchase any cases on top of that? NO. He was suddenly cheerful after we paid the line upgrade fee and taxes, and brought us a bag with a smile. So transparent. Here ends the chronicles of Randall, the one Verizon employee who tarnishes their otherwise wonderful record of customer service. Seriously, someone needs to consider whether Randall is helping or hurting the business more. I'd rather drive across the island to the next store than deal with him again. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I went in on Wednesday, October 28 at night around 5-6PM. If I could leave a zero star, I would leave it in a heartbeat. I came here for a SIM card, because I bought a new iPhone from the Apple store and it needed a 5G sim. I got the sim card, left the store, wandered around Pearlridge for an hour and noticed my phone still stated "NO SIM CARD." I took the SIM card out of the slot and it was dented/scratched. Switched the SIM card to another phone and it also stated, "NO SIM CARD." Went back to the store to get it checked out, the guy that helped us came up with multiple excuses to get us out of the store like "the corporate store is in the mainland and the SIM card will activate when it reaches 12AM" Another excuse he gave was "they set it up to activate in the area my home address is" ummm, Verizon has towers all over Oahu, why would it only activate where I live? Another excuse was "Apple store gives faulty phones and this has happened multiple times on their end, you should go back to the Apple store and exchange your phone". He also claimed that my SIM card works cuz it shows in his system that it's activated. OBVIOUSLY, it works in "your" system, but not in the phone sim slot, cuz it was scratched and dented! I used to work for Verizon and I knew he obviously didn't want to help me because he does not get paid for assisting me, "commission based job." They left me with no service, as a customer and for my phone. I ended up going to another Verizon store for a WORKING sim. Thank goodness the Pearl Highlands location was nice enough to give me a sim that was not dented. My phone activated within 5 minutes even if I wasn't near "where I live". You chose to work at a corporate location, it's your job to assist clients even if you do not receive commission pay RANDALL. Super disappointed with your service. read more

I wish I read the reviews that warn to go to another Verizon store, but sadly I didn't. This location is in pearlridge. The side with Macy's in it. I ended up walking into this Verizon location since I was already at the mall and wanted to inquire about possibly upgrading my iPhone X to the 11 pro. When I strolled into the store one employee was already helping a woman and another one just started helping out this man. There were two employees by the register talking to each other. I was waiting for one of them to sign me in like how the kapiolani and salt lake branches do. But that didn't happen. So in the mean time I thought I'd check out the phone. While I was checking out the camera on it another woman walked and and we both were looking at the newest iPhones but she didn't get greeted or checked in either. I don't think any of the employees cared that we were there. This makes me sad and I'm so disappointed because I've always had great experiences going to Verizon stores and my family and I have been with Verizon for at least 10 years. I just hope the lack of professionalism that this location has doesn't deter first time Verizon customers. I guess these guys don't get paid to help customers. I'd rather take my business to another location. So take it from me, don't get put in a bad mood by coming to this location. Got my LGV10 few weeks ago. Shannon helped me with the purchase. She was great helpful and informative. Added my iPad to the plan saving me $10.00 a month. Even got me a company discount! Today I brought it in to have a noise problem checked out. Mike helped me with getting another unit (hopefully a NEW unit) sent to me in a few days. Came in with my MIL due to my phone acting up and losing service. I've been wanting to upgrade my phone so came in to see what my options were. Joe was a delight to work with. He was very helpful and patient. He recommended that I do the upgrade because if I replaced my phone and was going to upgrade soon anyway that wouldn't make sense nor would it be the best way to do things. He also helped me pick out accessories for my new phone that I will be receiving next week!! So exciting!! There was an accessory package deal for a screen protector, fast charging wireless charger, mophie portable charger, and a new JBL waterproof speaker, and a cell phone case. Super deal! He also checked our plan to make sure we were getting the best deals and stayed after closing to help my MIL. Unfortunately, by the time she was going to do her upgrade the system went off line. I had problems with my phone that i could not fix on-line. So I drove to the nearest Verizon which was located in Pearl Ridge. There were 2 workers standing by the front entrance (one male and one female) for covid reasons, which I totally get. I asked if I could speak with an associate as I was having problems with my phone. They asked what the problem was and I explained as best as I could. They told me to do it on-line, I again explained that it could not be done on-line. They then told me to call #611 and speak with someone over the phone, which I did, only to find out that they were closed, since it was mainland time. I informed them that #611 was closed and they told me to call again tomorrow. I received such poor customer service from those two, no smile, no "thank you", no "i'm sorry", i mean i get that they don't have to do any of that, but to say "just call back tomorrow". I mean REALLY!!! Who is the manager at that store because I hope they read this, not that they would care. I will just sign this "un-satisfied" customer. read more

Thank you Ty Ota at Pearlridge!! Long time AT&T Wireless Customer here getting slammed with overage charges on a 20GB plan...ATT Unlimited required a Direct TV monthly which was not needed so I popped in the the Pearlridge Verizon location and was greeted by Verizon Rep Ty OTA and I explained what I was looking around for.... Ty described their plans and what they would cost based on my usage. I chose to try a new iPhone to upgrade mine in their plan, ended up not digging the phone but decided to jump my wireless service over to Verizon due in part to Ty! (When I called ATT to ask for some needed account info, the ATT operator commented on how long I had been their customer and then asked why I was leaving - 'your unlimited plans require Direct TV subscription' which she replied 'no, we can offer you a different plan made for our loyalty customers' to which I responded 'ATT shouldn't wait to offer better plans to loyal customers when they are out he door-you should have been emailing or texting these offers to me every few months!') Because TY OTA's great service I felt I was ready to move to Verizon. Ty took back my iPhone X, helped me jump over 3 more lines from my ATT account and switched around numbers the way I wanted them all without batting an eye. My experience with TY OTA got me in the door and I hope Verizon's service is a reflection of their representative. As I get older, My observation is that customer service has, in general, steadily declined, with employees even at big name companies, are lacking the professionalism and courtesy that used be seen all over retail and food service. It's nice to see there are still places that have excellent representing their company! read more

They're all about the service! Seriously! I love coming here because they treat me well every time I visit. They moved to a bigger space and it's on the same floor just more towards Macy's. It has more room compared to there old location and I love it. It's more bright and welcoming. We were welcomed right away and we're assisted. I came with my mom to upgrade my dad's phone since "it broke" but I knew he wanted one for the new year. Even though the specialist knew I planned to buy a new phone, she helped fixed the current iPhone my dad had. Awesome! My mom is full on Filipino (English as her second language) and the lady who helped us really understood us. She was patient and respectful. As far as service my family have been loyal customers of Verizon! Even though people say they're expensive, but it is so worth it! Customer service and wireless service are both great! Worst Customer service with RANDALL. Did not help us out one bit. We were ready to switch carriers, purchase new phones but his attitude swayed us to stick with our current provider. Randall talked down to us as if we should have know certain things before coming in. Your job is to provide us with information about your services and what we can do to change. Getting talked down and not training your employees properly is a company that I will not support. read more

I apologize I usually am pretty liberal and forthcoming with props to all of the businesses that I deal with. However upon my contact with Randal at the Verizon store in PearlRidge, I had an absolute opposite experience than the previous location I reviewed. Randal did not explain anything that he was doing with my account nor did he fully explain any new charges. I questioned one of the emails I received while in store - ( I was being charged for all types of things that I didn't ask for). Most importantly before I could decline the particular screen protector that he brought out he quickly applied it to my niece's new phone before we could assess that it was a higher priced item then what we originally wanted. Of course it's too late once it's installed on the phone. When I made a comment about the high-priced screen protector and that it was not the one I wanted he made no effort to give me other options he simply kept doing what he was doing without any qualms to my concerns of the price. I questioned the adding of insurance on to my nieces phone when I didn't sign up for it and he claimed that it just transferred over from her account without him doing anything about it. Also he stated that I was going to be charged and activation fee of $40 which was not applicable for a transfer of line within the same carrier. Basically he denied me reviewing the breakdown of each charge and stated that I would get the receipt in my email although I requested a hardcopy he did not provide me with one. I'm just frustrated that he felt inclined to pull a fast one and not so his job to explain everything. I am super disappointed and am regretting we stepped into that particular location. I had to wait like half an hour to see someone, then when i spoke to someone named Tye, he went into the backroom for another 20 minutes, walked out and started helping someone else, i asked him what im waiting for and he said the system is down, hes a liar, i just went to another store and got the deal i wanted This store is run by bloodsucking commissions based sales people who will only help you if something is in it for them. If you want courteous friendly and truthful phone sales in pearl ridge, go down to the tmobile store one floor below. Unless you want leeches like Tye to lie to you and ignore you and enjoy that used car salesman dbag type experience. read more

We had the most TERRIBLE experience with Randall at the Pearlridge Verizon location. My family and I planned to switch from AT&T to Verizon and we just wanted more details about the different plans Verizon has to offer. He was incredibly rude, impatient, and patronizing towards us. We were there for only six minutes (literally) and he was just unpleasant off the bat. He raised his voice at us every single time we asked him a question. I am unsure what even triggered his nasty attitude because all we did was ask normal questions...We were prepared to switch phone carriers today, but after this experience, we decided to stick with AT&T. read more

Shout out to Tony and staff! Tony was very patient and polite while servicing us. He helped us decide which phone would be best for us for the price it was offered. While checking for the best price he also looked at all specials and upgrades available. He also helped set up the new phone and showed us the new features on how to use it. read more

You cannot imagine how wonderful i think this Verizon store at Pearlridge is! From the greeting to the overall service to the follow through. Especially Tony, my Verizon specialist and Germaine who worked tiredlessly to make sure i could have a phone to keep in contact with my family on my way to Florida! I've never been treated with such respect and overall customer service from any other provider in my years with cell phones. . Each customer as important as the other no matter what the cost! ! Verizon is my favorite carrier and this is one of the better store locations in my opinion. The service I've had here is usually friendly, not too pushy, and not condescending. They also tend to have a pretty decent selection in-store. Wait times can be a little long, though, but that's true of most wireless carries in high traffic areas. Learned something new and cool, though, which is Verizon doesn't charge extra for 4G like many other carriers do! read more

Great service at this location. Came in to add a line to my plan for my daughter who got a phone for her birthday. They made it super easy with getting the SIM and activation done. Took like 10-15 minutes top to get it done and be out the door. The representative was friendly and made sure we were ok with the additional expense. Bringing your own phone adds on 20 per month but if you get one on contract it is 40 per month. We brought our own phone so it was 20 (sigh of relief) I have been a customer for almost a month coming from AT&T and so far I am pleased with the service I have received both cellular and customer service wise. read more
