I never bother to write a negative review. English isn't easy, and I would prefer to say something nice. But there is definitely something wrong with AT&T specifically this location on Marginal Way from their representative to their store manager and to their DISTRICT MANGER. For me to know that a district manager exists, I have gone through the AT&T cycle -- on around 10/4 (with marginal way AT&T) - 11/25 (with marginal way AT&T) - 11/25 (with Maine Mall Rd AT&T Corp.) - 12/10 (with marginal way AT&T) - 12/11 (with marginal way AT&T) - 611 (escalation department that never existed) - 12/12 (with marginal way AT&T) -- now greeting the district manager that doesn't want to talk about the problem. And to know that I'm not their only victim just makes me feel worse. From someone I know in person to this AT&T's recent reviews, I should not have TRUSTED AT&T (but I don't read the news). From the representative to their manager, they act like they know a lot about AT&T then start the blaming game when problems come up (in my case, it adds $493.83 for my bill this October). They run you in circles, blame AT&T corp. lies about having an escalation department but doesn't want to direct you there. And they say their district manager probably would do the same thing which is nothing. And he did nothing. This place is hopeless. I don't think for over a decade of being an AT&T customer I have any problems until I come here. It just isn't worth it for this one time experience I have with AT&T but I'm definitely not coming back here again. Trust them until they offer to kick you out of their store. I don't know if they mean it but they have said it. I have AT&T for over a decade now. There used to be an AT&T at 211 Marginway only a minute or two from this new location. Great, friendly, and very knowledgeable people. Just one store lasts us for more than a decade. I don't know why this new location has the photos of the previous location. It's definitely not the one. Give them a chance and see if they might treat you any better. Unless problems come up, there should be no problems. read more

To start, every time I go in, I feel well taken care of no matter who is working, even if there's a wait, I know I'm waiting because they truly seem to take full care with every single customer issue and try to make sure that the experience is as pain free as possible, and I greatly appreciate that. I hate this location. AT&T is a fine provider. But this location screwed me. Told me everything I wanted to hear just to get a sale. After speaking with 5 different people on 5 different days about my bill... there is nothing they can do to give me the monthly charge this location promised me. Watch out for these people. On top of not having the promised monthly bill amount. They sold me a screen protector. It was like 40 or $50. They said if it cracks, come In and it will be replaced for free. NOT FREE!! They expect you to pay 8 dollars to replace it each time. These people lie. Don't trust them. read more

Once I received attention, the guy who worked with me was nice. But when I walked in: 1. No one greeted me 2. No one said, "I'll be with you in a 10 minutes." 3. No one said, "Do you have a quick question?" 4. No one said, even after 10 minutes of sitting and waiting, "So sorry for the wait- someone will be with you soon." I just sat there as these two guys worked with other customers. I totally understand they were busy. But it is not a good feeling when you are not recognized, especially when you have to wait 20 minutes. And, what I needed only took a few minutes... Greet your customers, even if you're busy! So get your running shoes on, after you hear my tale of woe you will want to run away from AT&T. They have lovely people in their stores but the set up in their company will leave you on the phone with pleasant customer service people unable to help you if anything goes wrong. They are currently billing me 700$ for a phone I returned to them in new condition with the promise of getting a refund. AT&T is an evil company who hires lovely people to hide their monstrous side. Due to AT&T doing away with contracts, which would end my plan that I have been grandfathered in to for years now, I needed to get a new phone before the end of the week. So, much to my dismay (ugh - sales people), I popped in here yesterday in need of a new phone. I was quickly greeted and checked in. A friend had recommended a sales rep, so I put in a request. No problem, they said. Less than 10 minutes later, I was chatting with Chad while he set up my shiny new phone. I was in and out of there in no time and felt like I had been chilling with a friend rather than buying a phone. Never felt any pressure, no excessive up sell, just an honest sale. If you knew my history with cells, you would feel better about whatever your phone situation has been. I've had phones that would make calls to whomever it wanted to whenever it wanted to, would text NONSTOP punctuation to people all day every day, I've received endless harassing calls for somebody named Albert, and I've had technicians (from a provider that rhymed with 'horizon') blatantly lie to me. "All your contacts have been moved over!" (they weren't, I lost everything). "All your photos have been moved over!" (they weren't, I lost everything). "You must have done something to your phone because - and I've never seen this before - I can't seem to move over any of your contacts or photos." (what?!) "Are you sure *you're* not just sending the thousands of punctuation texts out?" (WHAAAT?!) And then I decided to give up cell phones altogether for a while. Those were the best years. When I decided to rejoin today's society of technological dependence, I was seeing someone who was happily engaged in a longterm relationship with ATT (not my former provider who, did I mention, rhymed with 'surprise in'). He never had any problems. Ever. Not with his phone. Not with his service. Not with his contracts. Not with his bills. It sounded like a big fat lie, but here's the best part about being with someone, kids: eventually you get to share bills and stop thinking about certain things, so when he and I knew this might last longer than a weekend, I joined his plan. I. Have. Never. Had. An. Issue. Since. (minus one blip with the AT&T at the Maine Mall, but I'm going to chalk that up to him essentially being a disgruntled mall employee.) I don't know if this is because I refuse to have anything to do with my cell phone other than hold it, take photos with it, and send texts on it, but the past ten-ish years with AT&T have been SOLID. I've had several phones - they've all been great, and exchanging them for new ones have been great, transferring contacts have been great (NOTE: I didn't transfer a single contact over this latest round intentionally, so know for a fact that when you text me #newphonewhodis). I've traveled the world and the international plan has been great. But again, I'm not super involved (and we do most everything online). Apparently AT&T was having some amazing deal, so recently my partner made a 1pm appointment here so we wouldn't have to wait around. Showed up at 12:45, was greeted immediately, was taken care of immediately, was never up-sold (my partner says they started talking about DirectTV but quickly stopped when my partner said a simple "no"), and left at 1:45 with brand new phones. Bam. What I'm saying is: THIS particular AT&T has parking, and it's super clean inside, there are wicked comfortable chairs to lounge in while you wait, the people are super friendly and relaxed. I went to this store to find a replacement for an wonky phone. After a long wait, I was seen by Vishal S.. I clearly told Vishal that I was already on my brother in law's plan and that I was looking for the cheapest prepaid phone they had. Vishal started showing me the most expensive models in the store. I repeated that I just needed a phone to call people, that the cheapest one they had would work for me. After a wait, Vishal told me that I could get the Apple iPhone 12 mini 64GB for $629.99, which would come out to 36 installments of $17.50 and that based on my current plan, I qualified for a promo and would get a $16.50 credit for every month. Hence the phone would only cost me $1 a month for 36 months. As that sounded too good to be true, I inquired if there were any other fees associated with the phone. Vishal assured me that there were no other fees, stating that I could stay on my brother in law's plan and that the only fees associated with purchasing the phone were the $1 a month fee for 36 months and $34.65 in tax upon cashing out. Following the transaction, my brother in law contacted me telling me that AT&T had increased his plan by $100 a month. I went back to AT&T to get more information. I was seen by Vy and Julia. It was then that I learned that on top of the $1 a month, they were also charging me $40 a month for a unlimited rate plan, which I never asked for. I told them that I was never made aware of this fee nor was I interested in the unlimited rate plan as I already had a plan in place which worked great for me. Vy and Julia told me that there was nothing they could do. $40 a month for 3 years = $1440 that AT&T is attempting to defraud me of. Vy and Julia were not willing to provide me with their supervisor's contact information either. I later spoke with an acquaintance of mine who revealed that the same store defrauded her of hundreds of dollars a month by claiming that she qualified for certain items and then adding all types of hidden fees. Looking back at it, I did find it odd that Vishal was always grinning at me when confirming that there were no other fees associated with the purchase of the phone. Everyone there used the same lines and have the same responses making it sound like it was standard protocol to deal with defrauded customers as myself. I will be filling a complaint with the BBB. I advise anyone who has had similar experiences with this store to share their experiences here. That we may contact each other in case we want to open a lawsuit. read more

This is a great store to do business with AT&T Wireless. The team there is patient, knowledgeable and helpful. On a visit to the store in August, Paige listened to what I was looking for and needed, and signed me up for the exact AT&T wireless plan for my needs. Matt was also very helpful when I came in on another visit, with questions. And when it came time to upgrade my five year old iPhone 8 to the iPhone 13 Pro, this past week, Donny was exactly the right person to help me select what I needed. I stopped into the Marginal Way location to pay my bill in person, with cash. I know this review is for the store, but the past couple of months when I try to pay my bill, there has been glitches in the AT&T app not allowing me to do so. Therefore, I never even would have went into the store if I could have just made a payment online. Long story short, after spending over a half hour on the phone with a rep that couldn't seem to figure out how help me, I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. The associate that took my payment was just as un-helpful as the call center and the application-he couldn't even tell me when my bill needed to be paid! He basically told me the text message AT&T sent me could be disregarded, and I didn't need to make a payment. I ended up just paying the bill to get it out of the way, and here I am a week and a half later and they have no record of the payment! Luckily I had my receipt still, as they wanted another full bill payment not even two weeks down the road. Not sure what the huge disconnect is about, UGH! read more

I have been an AT&T customer for years. For the most part the service and support from the staff is the main reason I am still going here. I was bummed when they changed their policy which allowed me to upgrade my phone and give my son my phone as his upgrade. So a 7 is a distant future plan for me. This is by far the worst AT&T store I have ever been to. They are unwilling to help in any way and could care less about their customers. The service level is below awful and customer loyalty means ZERO. Being a long standing customer of 17 plus years, constantly buying products and services via them, you would think that they would want to assist, but no. It is more about the scheme for them. had the absolutely the worst experience at this store today. went in to buy an iPhone 14 pro max. one staff person was busy with a customer. He did not even acknowledge our presence. We waited for half hour and we're completely ignored. Didn't ask if we had a quick question or could wait a bit till he helped. A few more customers came in looking to buy the iPhone 14, they were also completely ignored. No greeting no acknowledgement of their presence. After we interrupted to ask the staff person how long it would be till we could ask a quick question, we got no response. He just completely ignored us. We decided to finally leave the store. Shocked by the rudeness and complete disinterest in the customer looking to buy new phones, we asked the staff person for their name. He refused and became belligerent. The elderly customer with him said he had been with the staff person for more than two hours. We said we had never been completely ignored like this at this particular ATT store. The staff person then angrily strode towards us and shouted loudly "get out of the store!" His behavior was unhinged, alarming, and frankly frightening. I am not sure what is going on at this marginal way ATT retailer but strongly suggest avoiding this place. Not sure if it's a scam storefront for something else we may have interrupted. Forget getting any customer service; you will be ignored and if you ask anything you will get rudeness and belligerence. Obviously they don't want to sell 1300 iPhones to customers. So why does this store exist? ATT and Apple don't seem to care that this retailer is not interested in paying customers. And who employs staff that tells paying customers to get out? go figure read more

i went to AT&T with (parent) to discuss family service contract details and address individual device issues. (Parent) couldn't access [social network app] on old phone with outdated operating system. clerk at AT&T was quick with a response to this issue, thinking of a creative solution and following through to not only ensure [social network] access, but convenience. -phone savvy- These people are smart about what they do, and they have to be, because there is a lot of crazy technology out there and it gets confusing. I'll be back to this store. there are some chairs and some desks for sitting while you wait or meet with the clerks, who use ipads to do the bulk of the work that was once done on paper. As you enter, a clerk will intercept you to add your name to a queue for personal customer service. If not, you can find assistance at a desk at the opposite corner of the store. read more

Competely incompetent on plan advice. I needed to replace an iPad and went in there for a new one. They told me I could save $50 a month by making a few changes to my AT&T account while keeping all the services. Why not? The next bill went up by over $100. It took an hour on the phone with AT&T to get it fixed, and it simply returned to the old plan number. AT&T tells me they fixed that month's bill. Several months later, I have to pay the difference. Store manager's advice cost me almost $100 for nothing. Don't trust anything they tell you about your plan. read more
