I came into the Plumb Lab location to handle a name change on acct due to a death. I had called the 800 number and was told to walk into a physical location. Upon arrival I was greeted by Logan. He was quick to offer condolences and listen to what was needed. He took my information and spoke with management. When he was told I had to call the 800 number to get changes made I explained I was told to come in to a physical location with the death certificate. Logan went out of his was to call the appropriate department, authenticate the death certificate and get the name changed. Thank you!!!!! read more

I returned a phone at that store, dealing with the manager, but some time later I was told the phone had been lost and never arrived. The service is terrible, and they don't provide accurate information. Be careful and don't go there; they use lies to make sales and fail to give you the proper information. read more

Avoid AT&T at All Costs - Overcharged, Lied To, and Terrible Service I've been with AT&T for years, and it's been nothing but a nightmare. They constantly overcharge with hidden fees and unauthorized charges that pop up out of nowhere - like "administration fees" that triple without warning, or billing for equipment I returned months ago. I switched plans thinking I'd get a better deal, but my bill jumped from what was promised by $20-50 extra every month, with no explanation other than "system errors" or reps straight-up lying about promotions. I visited this place on Monday February 27 looking for possibly a new phone as my current phone wasn't getting a good signal. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and I advised them of my issue. They sat down with me as they pulled up my plan and told me that I have an old plan and it should be updated and it would actually lower my cell phone payment. He also advised me that they upgraded their cell towers but I never upgraded my phone. The guy loaded a new SIM card and said that I might not need a new phone, that the SIM card might give me the boost I need. Unfortunately, I needed a new cell phone. The guy spent a great deal of time with me setting me up with my new phone. Im happy with my new phone, my new plan, and the customer service I have received from AT&T by the Costco shopping center. The very last thing he offered was internet service. While I usually decline such offers, the service was so great there at the AT&T, I took him up on the offer lowering my internet bill. BEWARE!!!! The store manager has told his employees to tell customers that there is a mandatory $10/month fee for the "Next Up Anytime" promotion. You can cancel after 3 months. This is a LIE! It is an optional feature. Everyone who has purchased a phone through this store is now paying an EXTRA $10 a month. They have been reported for malpractice and an investigation is being launched. read more

Lydia is awesome and she tried her heart out to help my son and I. Unfortunately, AT&T as a corporation... not so awesome. My son was trying to do the "right thing" and create an account of his own so he could move his service and phone off of my account. He's been pretty much continuously employed for a few years now. Has his own apartment. Pays his bills. But AT&T won't let him have his own phone account. What is their risk? If he doesn't pay, shut off his phone... that easy! After Lydia ran into a roadblock in her system, she gave my son a phone number to call the next day. He tried numerous times to work his way through the automated system on the phone with no luck. I then had to get involved (while I was working) and I checked online to see if I could attack the situation from that angle. I managed to get a live agent through their chat system. She worked us for well over an hour with the same results... they think my son (with no BAD credit whatsoever) can't handle his own phone bill. Way to lose a potential customer! I'm not happy about this... and I've been a customer since 1989 (through Cellular One). read more

When we went in to transfer service we were not given options of the types of phones we wanted and we were not told about all the promotions for the items that we were given. We were told if we would have been fiber customers (we are!) or a business account that our activation fees could have been waived but with using the veteran discount we would have to call into customer service to have them removed. We had to order one phone that took 10 days to arrive, I did not get the phone that I wanted, and neither did one of my kids. It took 3.5 hours to transfer our services because some of the numbers could not be ported over and they couldn't find the devices that we wanted. We contemplated giving back the devices for the return period and after a nightmare of trying to get our numbers back to our previous company we turned back in the phones. Once we came in with everything the rep that we were talking to told us that we could not return the phones because it had been over 14 days (it was 14 days exactly). I had to pull out my calendar and count the days to show that we were within our return period (days of the month don't matter, 14 days is 14 days). She called over our original rep over to find out why we were not put on the business plan when we said that we would be having a company account as well. They charged us a restock fee which was close to our taxes that we had paid on day one and said we needed to talk to the manager who was off to be able to get that refunded along with all our activation fees that still remained on the account. After we turned in everything they left several lines active and connected so that we would still be charged. Three weeks later I am still trying to get these numbers disconnected and some of the money that they are charging refunded. They will have to have something amazing for us to consider coming back to the company! read more

The manager Rob gave us above and beyond customer service today 11/28/20. He personally did all that he could to help resolve our issues and even reached out to contact others who could help us. The situation was stressful but he remained calmed and did his best to get us what we needed. He used resources and reached out to others on our behalf, evening called us back to update us on what's going on. LOOOOOONG time customer (decades). Called this location to confirm they had an iPhone 11 to replace my husband's phone. "Shaw confirmed they had five on hand: 2 mini's, 2 regulars, and one Max Pro. Great! Just need a regular. LITERALLY 15 minutes later, I arrive and suddenly they're "sold out," and my sales rep says, "but I'll be happy to sell you a 13!" Classic bait and switch. To top it off, the "free upgrade" that was available isn't really free. You have to pay $60+ sales tax and then $20+/month for the phone! They clearly need to go back to Compliance training as this violates UDAAP. Disgusted. read more

This is the second time I have gone with a friend to review plans, billing, and make account changes. I used to work at Verizon, so I speak wireless mumbo jumbo. On both occasions the consultants were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and honest. On both occasions the manager Ali checked in our progress and was happy to provide approvals needed to make account changes. This store is top notch and has certainly earned my business if I ever switch. By the way, each of them saved loads of money by reviewing their plans and usage. It is free to do and they will give you all the right information. The unlimited plans offer a great savings if you opt for a shared plan. read more

I just bought an AT&T prepaid Turbo HotSpot2. I was unable to get this gadget operational. On my cellphones, I get a message that it was not connected to the internet. It also asks for a phone number. Apparently not just any number, BUT it MUST BE AN AT&T number. I transferred my old number from Metro, but AT&T does not recognize a valid number. WASTED $100 on both the HotSpot AND FASTCARD just to get this damn HotSpot activated! Unless you're an AT&T member have an AT&T NUMBER, this HotSpot is useless! DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$$ read more

Most of the time when I go into cellular phone stores, the associates are like car salesman and they only care to assist you if you are buying a new plan or phone. This particular store is different as they have an associate, Martin, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I am a huge fan of Martin as he was extremely patient with us and walked us through the process of filing a claim on my father's phone. He thoroughly explained what the insurance covers and went through the steps of the claim and what to expect. If anyone goes to this store, I highly recommend that you ask for Martin. Technical stuff goes over my head, but these guys are patient when they have to explain it to me for the third time. I have used this store location for years when purchasing iPhones and accessories. It has easy parking and a decent selection of phones and accessories. It seems to be usually well staffed, although there can be a wait during prime hours - weekends and after 5pm. Staff has taken the time to help me transfer info from old phone to new ones. Recently I was walked through various international plan plans I could purchase for the use during my Baltic cruise. The only exciting reason to visit the AT&T Store is buy a new phone right? I mean, you spend all this money, all year long to have this service and when you're finally eligible for an upgrade you want the experience to be quick, smooth and pleasurable (LOL, just read that last sentence again). You know you're in for the usual upsell, because that's how these people make their money, but this isn't a used car lot... you don't expect pushy sales tactics or bait and switch maneuvers, you expect a friendly and informative sales professional to handle the transaction. Well someone needs to explain this to Ross. He was short and rude from the minute he walked up to us. He was pushy in his approach, failed to deliver the important information, and was simply trying to sign us up for some "Next" plan they're now offering. After 5 minutes with him, my GF and I, along with our potential $800 sale walked right out the door. 1 STAR FOR ROSS! If this review was based on just this experience, I'd give it one star, but I'm giving it 3 stars because of previous experience with a very nice red headed female employee (who I saw when I was there) who politely and graciously helped me fix some issues with my cable bill. Even though this was not a sales transaction, she understood the value customer service plays in her job, and she left me extremely happy and satisfied being an AT&T customer. Store closes at 8:00pm, while we arrived at 7:45pm. Admittedly, this is not an ideal time for any business, with 15 minutes to closing. Quite honestly, we wouldn't be here on our trip away from home unless we absolutely needed to. One customer is being helped, while another party is waiting, and then us. One representative is assisting the first customer, while the other THREE watch on from the office.... doors open and all... talking, giggling, neglecting their customer service. (Please see video.) We all know what a time consuming process it is having to take care of matters with a wireless retailer. Don't waste MORE of your time here. So today I stopped by the AT&T store on E Plumb to have a screen protector installed. This is an AT&T purchased product with an lifetime warranty. As I entered the store I was approached by Dillion surrounded by five others. I felt threatened and like I was about to be attacked. I ask if the screen protector could be installed by them and the response was I needed to don a mask. I responded that I have a medical condition that doesn't allow me the reason I have a plastic shield. He said I would need to don one or step outside and be helped curbside. I responded that I could don a mask and then he could pay my medical bills when I faint. There was no response. I said I'll just step outside. Dillion then responded that the tempered glass screen protector was not purchased at an AT&T store. I responded it most certainly was. He said well it wasn't purchased from that store therefore he wasn't going to be able to put it on. I was tired of this AT&T stores excuses and said fine I'll go somewhere else. Then I thought the manager should be aware of Dillon's actions. So I looked up the receipt in my records and went into speak to the manager, I showed the manager the receipt and the manager responded that I needed to calm down and unless I was going to put on a mask I was going to have to leave. This AT&T store was no longer willing to install the tempered glass screen saver and was discriminating against me for not wearing a mask because of a medical condition. I left and went to another AT&T store. As I entered dressed with my plastic shield, I was asked if I could be helped. I said yes I would like to get the screen protector put on my phone. My family and I are canceling our services with att after 30 years because of the customer service we have received at this store location. "Tony" the manager was extremely passive aggressive, rolling his eyes at everything I said to him. He began to tell me how it was my fault for trying to change my area code and how he didn't make me come into their location. I couldn't believe it. This store went absolutely above and beyond for me and my company. After a mishap with an online order and not getting through on phones I decided to head into the store. I'm so happy I did because Carlos, Mike, and Rob all chipped in to help make things as easy for me as possible. Not only did they go to three different stores including Sparks and Carson. They sat with me explaining everything and making sure I got the best deal for my company/ employees.
