I had a really great experience at this store today. Johnathan was the one who helped us. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and sincere. He asked if I'd consider switching my home internet. I said no thank you, he explained the benefits, but then respected my decision. I was there to add another phone to my family plan, from a phone that was currently with T-Mobile. It was a fairly complicated process that I never would have been able to figure out on my own (the family member with the other phone was in Oakland, so we did everything over the phone). Johnathan kept at it, and was so patient when we had to wait for the phone to restart or software to download. While we were waiting he talked to me about my current plan, which was a pretty old one. He helped me find a new plan that will now cost $67 per month LESS than my old plan, even with this additional phone. Johnathan spent so much time with me, even though I'm sure he won't be earning commission on the transaction. He was very pleasant and patient, and got the new phone added to my plan. I went in with my parents to help my dad upgrade his broken phone. Long wait list but we continue to wait patiently. Once ready, Justin helps us and I start off by explaining why we are there and what we need done. He then proceeds to try to sell us fiber home internet and we decline. After, he keeps pushing the sale and won't move forward. I tell him we don't have time for internet and I'm looking only to upgrade phone. Rudely, Justin starts calling us stubborn because we don't want to purchase fiber internet although we expressed we are looking to save and find the cheapest apple phone. Nonetheless, Justin rolls his eyes, calls us stubborn numerous times, gets impatient with us not wanting internet and has the worst customer service. Usually once a customer says no, it's no but he was very slow and didn't want to help us no longer with the upgrade towards the end of our service. This is for AT&T internet and landline, not this store. Multiple AT&T employees said my internet would cost $28/mo. if I cancelled my landline. When I cancelled it, they said internet would cost $58/mo. This isn't the first time AT&T hasn't honored what its employees said. I would change internet providers if I could, but there are very few providers in my area. They also raise rates every year, and their internet is unreliable. I've gone days w/out service. read more

I went into the store and waited about 10 minutes for someone to come out to help various customers, including myself. I then walked to the back and saw someone counting cash and putting it into a machine. I asked the lady what time the store open she told me 10 AM. I waited until 10:30 AM And still no one came out to the front to help anybody. The lady did ask me if I wanted to be put on a waiting list. I did not see where a waiting list had even started. Switching to AT&T has been such a seamless process. I pre-ordered the new Galaxy S23 Ultra. It was delivered by FedEx before the release date. Went into this location and was helped by Justin, who was amazing! He helped me with account setup, transferred all my phone data to the new one, and picked out accessories. Very professional and customer service friendly. He answered any questions, didn't rush, and even opened the door for me when I was done! Who does that anymore? I'm pleased with the service I received; and so far, I'm convinced I made the right switch. Recommend? Absolutely Advice: Go early to beat the crowd. Manager came over and said it would be about 20 minutes.... well after about 45 minutes we went to check and see what's going on....the whole team was in a meeting ... Do not go here!! Immediately after visiting this location and opening a new account both my father's & my personal information including our SSN was compromised. A few red flags during my visit: 1. The associate took my unlocked phone to the back to ask the manager questions instead of asking the manger to step outside 2. The associate did not do a good job of setting the expectation. He did not tell me my phone would not be working for a few hours after my visit. This lead to a panic with my friends and family 3. The associate didn't bother to explain why my bill would be a specific dollar amount and just told me "this is what you're going to pay" 4 when I returned to the store to speak to the manager about my concerns she kept insisting that the reason my father & my information was compromised is simple a coincidence. 5. Worst customer service in my life - start to finish. At this office, I asked (the manager) to speak to a manager as this issue has been ongoing. And every phone call I have made (at least 5 different times), I get a different story. After 45 minutes on the waiting list, the manager hid in the back and sent one of his underlings. When I explained that I was promised several things, including 2 FREE phones with trade-ins, the underling went back behind closed doors to speak to the manager. He came back out and it was clear he had no desire to help me. He only wanted to give me at least 3 different reasons why he wasn't going to help. Hiding behind company policies that in the end will allow the company to take $1500 from me on payments for phones I never really wanted. You win. I was in need of switching my husband over to my phone plan and we decided to pop into this AT&T store on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The first thing I noticed when walking in was that no one greeted us - I was used to having someone by the door to ask us what we were in for and then to put us on the waiting list, but at this location everyone was tied up working with the customers. We weren't really sure where to put our names down for a waiting list and so we just took a seat in the waiting area and hoped that someone would eventually approach us. No one did. After about 10 minutes, I was able to pick out which ones were the staff members and which ones were the customers and asked one of the staff members as he was walking by if he could put us on the wait list which he then did. We waited another 20 minutes or so before our name was called. Once our service commenced, I was really happy with how we were able to work through our request efficiently and quickly. I just moved from Verizon to ATT got my IPhone 15 . The phone screen just all of the sudden stopped working . I had the phone less than 30 days. I came to this store to get my problem fix instead of trying to help me the lady in front told me right away that I need to go to apple. I was told I can return the phone within 30 days if I'm not satisfied. This lady was rude and did not even tried to help me. She told me that it's not 30 days it's 15 days and they will charge me re stocking fee. So I said will it be better if I return the phone and go back to Verizon. And she said to me is that what you want to do. The other guy told me that I don't need to be rude. Instead of telling the lady not to be rude. I was not rude I was irritated that this people who works for customer service does not know how to do customer service. Then she did not even ask if she can touch my phone. She kept going through my email. It's insane that this people worked for ATT one of the phone service company. Last time I went to that store everyone is nice. Today is a disappointment. Wish I could give 0 stars!! Poor customer service. Feel bad for the kid helping me, even with his bit of attitude, but the managers left him alone in a situation that perhaps he couldn't even solve. Poor training...poor management! After being there for almost an hour they told me they couldn't help me and that I have to call loyalty department. Went to the store in Daly City, in and out in less than 10 minutes. All I was doing was finalizing a phone trade in. Basically, drop the phone and get your receipt. Some of the rudest customers I've seen in a while began to come up to the rep while he was helping me. Literally interrupting us during mid conversation without excusing themselves, giving the rep dirty looks. The amount of entitlement from the customers was exhausting! The absolute worst customer service experience at this San Bruno location. A complete train wreck of a store! Poorly managed, ZERO service, horrible attitudes (store manager, 2 male staff members), did not put any customers as priority this morning. I when into this location today with all three of my small children was told we would wait 15 minutes which turned into 45 minutes +. I had no idea the lady checking everyone in was the store manager. Well, to start off absolutely no one was being helped (zero staff presence on the sales floor) customers were getting impatient as was I since all the employees were in the back stockroom. I when in for what should have been a quick exchange from a damaged item that could have easily been replaced but was not (store manager Veronica decided not to swap the defective cord). Long story short I was completely taken aback by her lack of willingness to do the right thing for the customer, arguing with me after my children and I waited much longer then she had quoted us and her complete disregard and lack of empathy. She should really reconsider how she addresses ALL customers and how she trains her staff members. They are a direct representation of her actions and service. AT&T rep made a major error with my upgrade a few years ago which caused an issue when a tried to get a new device - I was extremely upset when the rep at the San Bruno store kept saying it wasn't their issue and there is absolutely no way to resolve the error that was made a few years ago and I couldn't get a new phone. Virginia ( apparently she's a manager) jumps in with an extreme rage and started raising her voice reiterating what her colleague stated. This manager is extremely incompetent and has zero customer service skills. It was very disappointing to see that there was absolutely no accountability and no professionalism. Where do we start: What's the exact point in making an store appointment, only to wait additional 20 more mins? On our visit, it really seems clear that everyone wanted to take a break together in the back and leave one employee with their guests. We only came in to consolidate our plans with my wife. Came home and found out we got assurion insurance somehow added to the plan? Did I read the small fine print? No. Did the store employee seem confident in helping us? Scheduled an appointment to get new SIM cards for my new iPhones per Apple Store recommendations. They're so stingy and wanted to charge $5 each when it's free to order online. I've been a customer for over 12yrs with 3 lines. This place is a complete waste of time and not helpful at all. I should just change to a different carrier instead. Came home and tried to order online but can only be purchased with new line not a replacement. Ended up having to call in with the long wait just to get the damn SIM cards so I hung up. I told the rep at store that's the main reason why I made an appointment in store. Extremely unhelpful staff here. You just lost a 12 yrs customer with 3 lines, because of the $5 SIM cards ($15 total) that you didn't want to offer me for free like online. Signed up for Verizon online today. Good luck with this kind of customer service from a corporate store. On Verizon Prepaid now, great service in store, over the phone and online experience. My price is cheaper too now with Verizon Prepaid. Voice is crystal clear and data has been faster on their 5G network when I compare the speed test from random places. read more

Worst AT&T store ever! I came here because my new iPhone 11 had cellular data connectivity issue. This had been going on for a few days so I made an appointment to speak with the store rep. When I got there, I saw Andrew and he helped me changed out my SIM card and reset my network setting. He said this should clear up the connectivity issue and to come back to exchange for a new phone if it doesn't. Few days later, I was still having connectivity issue and was helped by another person (I didn't get his name). He said they didn't have the model in stock and informed that the AT&T store in Palo Alto does. They called and the store over there held the phone for me. When I got to the Palo Alto store, the associate took a look at my account and they asked where did I get buy my phone from because there was no purchase record in my AT&T account. I let them now that I got the phone from the Apple store. The AT&T guy said I have to go back to the Apple store to exchange for a new phone. I was SO PISSED. Why didn't San Bruno double checked my account before sending me out on a far drive?! Not only that, but the TWO associates oversaw it?! Big middle finger to this store. Waste of time! Went to port my number to/from Google Voice on the last day of my billing cycle on Nov 28th, which would have been perfect. Sooo not what happened! $300 in overcharges later and it's still not fixed... Here's the story. Both Jason and the floor manager Kyle helped me. My intention was to port my old number to Google Voice, due to frequent spoofing/robocalls. They said that if I also ported a number into my account, I would receive a deal for free internet for life ($30 credit towards account, but still a great deal) sounded great! We inputted all the required info and scheduled an appointment to come back once the port was successful. They converted my single line account to a multi line to keep the old line live, but assured me I would be prorated when they changed it back. After the 48 waiting period, Google gave me an error stating invalid account number. I went back in and Kyle said they couldn't figure it out and said try again. It failed again. I finally contacted Google support and they said that I needed the wireless port number, not the account number. I went back a 3rd time with my computer to attempt the port in store. Both Jason and Kyle still had no idea what I was talking about! "My bad, but we can't refund or prorate you." I left upset and so I called 611 to ask them if they knew and they quickly determined that I need to number associated with my cellphone # I was porting and not the full account number which included cellphone + internet. I entered the number given by 611 and success! Once the port was successful, I went back a 4th time and Jason helped me again and "switched" my account back to the single line with the deal. The next day, my autopay went through... for $297!!! Not only did Jason not fix my account, it charged my in advance for December for the multi-line rate! During my first visit, Kyle had given me his work cell number. He did not answer me until many days later stating he was looking my account, refused to call, and never fixed my account even after the above issue. I go back a 5th time (understandably livid) and Jason was there. He made me wait while he was clearly talking to a friend. When he finally got to me, he swears that Kyle fixed it because he watched him, shrugged and said he'd contact me back after speaking to Kyle. 5 days later, still crickets. After 3 more attempts to contact Kyle over the past month, I finally texted Kyle about this atrocious customer service experience and told him I would deal with 611 from now on. Called 611 and they can't pull up my account with my cellphone number?!? Fully plan to report this store to Corporate, once I can get a manager on the phone. I've been a ATT customer since they acquired Cingular aka since the 90s. This is completely unacceptable! read more
