Then month past I said I need another phone I need to work twist. I went in there said here's the 20 I o u now I got 47 dollars I need another Motorola and months service unlimited. He ack like he didn't do it sorta I said dude visible mobile is 25 unlimited wats up with the scammer alert radar. U can do me 47 and the Motorola. They did it first month 30 dollars after that 60 a month. Wat the ill just go in each month with 50 and get a phone with unlimited and Motorola build in 124 gigs u got room all day. Don't let them work u.threre just typing in info with prices. If u r good u can make them give u a phone every month and all u pay is 50 unlimited. That's were I'm at. That's the least I'm excepting from any metro store let alone they use your money go to the Verizon store add a line and get premium phone they desire. They just add lines wen ever they want . For other people they try n get hundred dollars plus and give u basic phone. And they it's unlimited iitlb like 45gig high speed den might lag. But unlimited means unlimited y are they not fulfilling the agreement plan discussed. Always peaking around the corner. Can u just sit still so we can see exactly wat we are buying. It's like playing tug a war with your own 25 dollars unlimited visible phone service available for u. Beats metro trying to I guess cut u deal. They definitely fulfilled my 47 dollar tap I wasn't trying to go no more. OK so on October 29 of 2023 at 12 in the afternoon I walked in and let them know that I needed to do an ES and a swap for a phone that I had purchased from a third-party. The young lady who is the only female working at the time Assisted me. I want to make it clear that they were multiple employees. They were all with their heads down with their cell phones in their hands on their cell phones. They were not working with her interacting with any customers. So as I walked into the store, the only one that actually looked up was the young lady, so I was kind of sort of stuck having to deal with her, so unfortunately this young lady was rude and impatient. Didn't ask me follow up questions and set me up on the cheapest plan with no Internet. She took me to literally, I said just give me the cheapest plan. I just finished spending $400 on a telephone I just want the cheapest plan. She didn't ask me additional questions to see if I wanted Internet access at all,... So she foolishly set me up on a basic plan with only calling. I didn't leave to set up the phone only to find out that of course there's no Internet. I had to waste two hours of my time. But it only gets better from here, apparently, the young lady also added insurance to my phone, this socially awkward individual never even asked me about insurance never discussed insurance with me at all. I mean, it's pretty disgusting in all honesty they do not care about other peoples time, they are paid to be friendly, and helpful, and I ended up getting my entire day rocked by this foolish decision. By this young lady, she also gave me a phone number with a series of 666, I don't know if she did that intentionally, but I fully plan on making a formal complaint to corporate. and I changed the number because who is comfortable with the number like 666, only for the maintenance man to claim that he was unable to reach me to do repairs in my home. So this girl is jacked me up to three times over do not go to this location because they are teenage staff in there early teens or early 20s. They are uneducated and they are not helpful. On 10/17/22 I had to go in because somehow they let Sprint take my number. They gave me a temporary number and told me that I should get my old number back between 5-10 business days. Well now it has been 16 business days and I called MULTIPLE TIMES and all they do is pick up the phone and hang up. This is truly pathetic. They also denied any type of compensation! read more

Although the staff was very nice and personable the business itself I have a few issues with. First of all it took a really long time to check out because they only have two functioning cash registers in the entire store for five staff. Fortunately there weren't a lot of folks in the store that day so it didn't take too long but I saw the staff I was working with waiting patiently behind other staff all taking a long time to complete their transactions. Very disorganized. Second of all after I purchased my phone I noticed that my bill was higher. After I called MetroPCS the company I found out that my "free gift" of a digital car code reader had added unbeknownst to me $10 a month to my account. I believe this practice is known as bamboozling. This business could improve by better training of their staff and what is actually going to cause charges to their customers so that they can inform them. I bought a charger for my cellphone. It was $10 more at this store than other places that sell chargers for my phone. The adapter didn't look look it belonged to the cord as it was not the same pieces that are sold in a box set. Metro looked like they took spare parts and tried to piece them together to sell them as sets. After swiping my credit card, the representative said sales are final on accessories. I wish she told me that before I purchased it. There's a vendor who sells these chargers for $15 or $20 at the first floor. I wouldn't go to this metro PC's store again. read more

Denise, Megan, and Vinh were all respectively super fantastic at helping me out! I walked into MetroPCS looking to switch from AT&T, since AT&T kept raising my rates every year. Denise explained the payment system clearly and in good detail to me, and told me about the latest promotion on getting a free phone if I switched. I was sold. A few days later, I came in to switch, but there were a few problems because my brother was the owner of the plan, and he didn't know his PIN. Vinh walked my brother on how to get that information over the phone. I totally commend Vinh for not losing his patience throughout the process. After I left the store, my brother was able to call AT&T and get their team to talk to the MetroPCS team to do the switch over. A few days later more, my new LG K10 kept on restarting randomly during the day, and it was pretty frustrating. Admittedly, I read a few forums online, and they suggested getting a new battery, so I came into the same MetroPCS yet again, and Megan and Vinh were able to painlessly swap out a battery for me... Except...that ended up not solving the issue. Finally, I came in today, since I talked to a lady on the phone, and she said I could come into MetroPCS to get a diagnostic test on what was happening on my phone. I came in with the intention of waiting for a while, but to my relief, Denise and Megan took one look at my situation and told me just to switch out the phone to a new phone. Hopefully there shouldn't be any more issues, but if there is, it's on the phone (I'll just give up and buy a new one), and not this team. I bought a Nokia Metro PCS phone because the concept behind the service is great. Unlimited talk time. No activation fee. No cancellation fee. That last part sure did come in handy. If you live where I live, do not buy this phone. You will come to hate it, and those you attempt to talk to on it will come to despise you. If coverage areas were underwear, this one would be a thong...made of string. The people in the store were very nice. And coverage is not their fault. But the bottom line is, people buy phones to talk to other people on them. They want to complete their sentences. They do not want to walk from one room to another and lose their connection. They do not want to be driving home and lose one call three times in fifteen minutes. These are not exaggerations. They are not dramatic reenactments. Maybe other people had better luck with their service, but these were my realities with my Nokia phone through Metro PCS. Suffice it to say, I don't use it anymore. read more

I used to get mad at automated customer service or getting some guy from India who thinks your speaking Klingon but after the service I got here customers service even face to face is on life support. I came in here to simply buy a $10 card to add minutes to my phone. A 5 minute visit turned into a 25 minute fiasco with her refusing to write anything down so asked for my phone number 3 times, asked my password twice and wanted me to say it outloud, told me I was in collections (which was incorrect since I was on a PREPAID and even showed deductions on my BOA statement). After her visits to the phantom manager, convo with other equally inept associates, and staring at the computer screen like it was the new Twilight movie she said she would have to cancel my account to get my account right, then changed her mind and said she wasn't sure what to do and kept asking me like I worked at MetroPCS. Where was her help you ask... The other associates seemed either disinterested or were too busy texting on their phones. One guy wouldn't stop playing with his phone while blasting rap music from it until he saw a couple of girls come in then he rushed right over to help them and left the other two people sitting waiting longer. After 25 minutes of this madness I told my friend lets just go, I didn't have time to wait for them to figure it out. She let out a sigh of relief knowing she had no idea what she should do and no one else did either. Overall, this is why so many people call this place "ghetroPCS". I know you are not AT&T or Verizon but seriously... do customers have to skimp on quality service as well? Metro can charge me an additional $3/month to get store associates who know what to do, associates that actually CARE about working there, show ANY type of professionalism, not look like I asked them a Final Jeopardy question on every question you ask, and represent their company better. If you don't like your job then find something better, if MetroPCS wants to continue to hire badly trained Mickey Mouse crews then don't expect paying customers to stay with you either. read more

This place is a rip off. They do not display any of the promotional prices on the phones sold here. For example, a Samsung would be $49 and with $49 rebate at the Serramonte Metro PCS. But here, they do not have a price sticker. If you ask them they will quote you $149 and a $49 rebate. Yes, this is exactly what happened. They told me they had to look up the price when I asked them. Then when I complained it's higher than other places, they said "wait, let me see what I can do" and they lowered the price and told me they'll give me a so called discount, as if they're doing me a favor. Lightly scanning the other reviews, I see the same complaints. Even though I am, and have been, using MetroPCS, I really don't have a problem with the actual phone serivice. Sure, the connections aren't always great, but they've come a long way from having to hold a fork outside your window or having one foot in the bathtub to have some kind of service. My issue with them is when I have to talk to someone in person. This MetroPCS store and its other neighborhood locations suck. They suck at customer service, they suck at answering questions, they suck at everything. They're rude obnoxious twits, and the people who hired them are twit leaders. They've gotta know that this is the norm is all the store locations. Oh, and this particular store is a "corporate store"??!! So I come here trying to cancel my phone subscription and ended up waiting in line for an hour. When I finally get up to the counter-lady I give her all my information and she "cancels" it. A month later I get a bill saying I needed to pay for my cell phone (which I've already switched over to Verizon so it's not even activated). I go back and wait another hour, and explain my situation and the guy at the counter says, "I don't know, it says it's deactivated." So I take his word and sure enough, the next month I get charged again. This time, I'm infuriated because I have to wait another hour in line just to talk to them for the third time about a simple issue. Apparently I get up to the manager and he says that if you pay with credit card, you have to let the cashiers know that you're on credit card subscription. How am I supposed to know that they can't see my credit card subscription? Anyways, I didn't get a refund, and hopefully God strikes this place with lightning. Don't use Metro. You'll spend more money if you wait in that line than actually paying for their ridiculous fees if you got a high-paying job. read more

Came in for a new SIM card since I bought a new phone. Got told that I could not buy a sim card only, because it was a corporate store.. not sure why that would be an issue. Didn't check, no resolutions, didn't offer any other solutions, total waste of time. Told us to go across the street and they could do it at the other Metro Pc in Tanforan. I'm sure they have been told many times that the other store has the same policy. However, they offered a solution. That is to buy a old sim, simple. Go to Aaron in the Tabforan Mall. My 86-year-old father was talked into getting a Metro PCS phone by my brother on May 11. The calls kept cutting out the first few days he had it, so he took it back to the "corporate store' on May 14 and asked for a refund / cancellation. They told him since he had talked for more than 60 minutes on it, he couldn't get a refund. He was not told that when he signed up. My brother was there with him, and he verifies that. My father says he would never have signed up for it had he known their return policy. The workers also said my brother could have explained it to him, so his age / hearing problem were not an excuse. But my brother didn't know either. They also told him they couldn't do anything without seeing his original invoice, which he had misplaced. This is 2011, it's absurd to even suggest that they don't have a record of his transaction online. This is just another of many excuses to attempt to not give refunds. Then he called up to try again, and they asked for his PIN number, which he didn't know because he had never been issued one. So they couldn't help him. So then I called to try to get him a refund. They asked for his secret answer, which my father said they had never had him set up at the store, so they said they couldn't help. They said he has to take the phone to the store to get the PIN. He's bedridden with fractured vertebrae now, so he can't go anywhere. I went to the corporate store last night to try to get a refund, they said they couldn't do anything and I would have to come back on Monday when the manager was in, but that I probably wouldn't get a refund. The three workers there all defended their 60 minutes policy and insisted they explain that to all customers when they sign up. So I went back on Tuesday, May 24 when the manager (who turns out to also be the owner) was there. She said there was nothing she could do. After questioning her, she said she doesn't tell customers about the 60-minute / 7 day refund policy when they purchase the phones, that it's right there on the contract and they can read it. If you look at their contract, it's very far down, near the very end. I asked if she trained her workers to tell customers, and she said no. She gave the example that when you purchase clothes at a certain well-known retail store that starts with an M, they don't tell you that you only have 90 days to return things when you pay for them. I would advise anyone to do a Web search for complaints about this company before signing up with them, there are hundreds of bad reviews and stories which will corroborate our experience so far. According to these reviews, they try to avoid giving refunds even if customers DO adhere to the 60-minute / 7-day refund policy, which is completely unethical, and should be illegal as well. You have been forewarned. I am now going to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Elder Abuse agency in San Mateo. read more

The Manager, Cory wasn't even able to assist me and cut our conversation short to communicate to someone else when I was asking for help first. Service AFTER sales is the worst imaginable. Phones aren't answered promply (or at all, usually). Short, curt answers to questions are given and are incorrect all too often. Rudeness is a natural state at this store, and seems to affect all employees. Although the products sold seem to be fine, the service, at least at this particular store, is so atrocious, I recommend dealing with any other vendor before resorting to spending any time or effort here. I was kind of iffey about switching from Verizon Wireless to Metro still using my Verizon phone because of her attitude. But since the price was only 65 dollars to switch the phone to Metro, I said why not. First bill of the month is 90 fucking dollars. 90 dollars! I paid less than that using Verizon!! It was due to the fact that she lied to me about the first bill, saying it will only be $45. I was pissed! All I'm saying is, if youre ballsy and have money to pay for their lies, then go there. I been a customer at Metro PCS since 2004. I bought a new phone in November 2011, simply because the employee promised me a 30.00 dollar rebate. I've been waiting for my rebate ever since! I've checked my status online every so often and it states they received my rebate papers November 26, 2011with no further information. So I waited and waited for it to come. Never came!!! I checked my rebate this morning and it states Status Detail: Invalid. Invalid Reason: The MEID for the product selected in your submission is no longer active. Is that a joke??? Then I try calling to speak with someone and she gives me the run around and finally says after our long conversation that I need to call another number. When I called the other number they don't let you speak to a live person and they don't have an option for the answers that I need! Very poor customer service! I'm definitely getting new phone service else where and I will tell everyone what crooks Metro PCS is and to never use there services! read more

Okay I visited this Metro store today at around 5:30 p.m. for some reason it is considered a corporate store. Not quite sure what that means but in the past corporate was held to a higher standard. This is not the first time that I have left the store feeling some kind of emotion and today was no different. On the direction of MPCs. service representative over the phone, I was to go and purchase a SIM card in order to have service for backup phone we just now in the game due to broken screen on my primary. Upon walking into the Metro store they all seem like they were on restriction and could not go outside to play. There was one young lady who's been there for years and she recognized me and we spoke, just my luck, she was with a customer, however, I was greeted by another representative who tried to help me with the SIM card purchase however he was short stopped by what is perceived to be a very rude manager by the name of Vince. Vince offered no solution to my small problem, it's new representative was kind of being ping pong in between myself and the manager. Maybe I'm just a little too old to expect customer service in today's world. Especially the cellphone world where all of our information is stored contacts, emails ,pictures, passwords, Etc. Very sensitive information and I guess Vincent knows that and that's why he can add a $15 tax on things that can be done over the phone at zero cost of the customer. And furthermore I was told to ask about an upgrade I have been a long-term MetroPCS customer the phone that I paid a little over $100 a year ago now with my upgrade is going to cost me twice as much. Not quite sure how that works , but upon talking to to the representative, again over the phone I was promised that $15 on my next bill. can not rate this place HIGHER than needed. the manager of DALY CITY METRO PCS (MANAGER BY THE NAME OF JOHN) place just basically told me that it was no my obligation to call the manufacture of my phone due to the phone having been locked up by my daughter, i could not get it to unlock. that was pretty silly for them to just leave me with thier problem to solve and making me feel like customer service not at all customer service..., so i went shopping and ended up in Tanforan Mall- nice guy in the mall tells me to take the phone over across the street to thier service center office. He started putting on screen protectors and transfering data from old phone. After leaving they charge$15 dollars for each screen protectors I didnt request or need! My fault for not checking receipt, but they should of told me the cost of protectors were not free. No communication from sales rep. read more
