Got excellent help from the telephone rep in picking a plan and making sure that my area was covered. I live near the coast and there are several cell companies that get only fair or poor reception here. I prefer to use an actual physical SIM card as opposed to a digital one, so the telephone rep mailed me a SIM card, and I got some help setting up my phone from a live rep in San Bruno on El Camino Real across from Tanforan. The live rep was courteous, helpful and proficient. I get 3 and 4 bars here off the coast and my service has been excellent so far with no issues or outages at all. I calculated my cellphone usage at 48GB a month, and phone rep signed me up on a Senior plan which gives me 50GB for less than $50 a month, and if I go over my 50GB, I still get service and data, it just might slow down a little bit. It's only been a couple of weeks so far, but the service and performance have exceeded that of all of my previous companies, including the company that I retired from and installed fiber for as a technician, so I am seriously impressed with their prices and their service. I picture myself being a long term customer from here on out. Bravo!!! read more

After checking the prices at other locations, they are overcharging for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. At least, I was able to split the cost to my monthly bill, with a down payment. I was offered a free "loyalty" line that wasn't free, I guess it was free in May and didn't read the promotion right so when he opened it in late June it was something they didn't offer. I called care and they wanted me to go in store, I called the store and was told it's a customer care issue. I was bounced back and forth while my bill was up $125 vs the $42 I was told it was gonna go up. The manager from this store told me they'd call me by the end of the day but it's been 3 days, so I'm on Yelp now. I'm switching services, I've had T-mobile since it was Sprint so loyalty doesn't mean anything to them apparently. What could improve is making sure your agents know how to sell and that the manager have some integrity/accountability instead of blaming the workers for not knowing how to sell when they can't even return a phone call. read more

I was disappointed today when we went to this TMobile Store in Serramonte. There is a male staff who doesn't want to be there to work but still came and ruined my day. I was not treated right, discriminated. We just there to asked for a sim card for 1 of our phone. They asked me for an ID and I did not bring it because I changed bag. I have a photo of my CDL and he said I do not need a photo I need to scan it (for what?!) angrily. Maybe if I am buying something I would be treated nicely. That man is lucky I did not get his name. This store has the WORST customer service I have actually experienced in person. I stopped by to try to fix a billing issue and the man who works there scoffed and asked me to call customer service instead (they were completely empty by the way)- why would I call your customer service line when I'm standing IN FRONT OF A T MOBILE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP?!? I explained to him that I had tried calling and they left me on hold serval times and had already messed it up (which is why drive all the way to the store anyways). He said "fine, but I'm just going to walk over here a call customer service sooo" and I said, "we'll maybe you'll get further than me- SINCE YOU WORK HERE." Things got worse and I left after not being able to take his negative attitude. Let me say I'm not a specialist with iPhones or Macs, even though I own them. I still need help every so often. These guys ROCK for people like me who might get stuck. After purchasing the iPhone 11 two weeks ago there it finally arrived. They were very nice in store and said I could come back for transferring my info when it arrives. I figured since I live in SF I'll go to one of my local stores. When my phone arrived the stores downtown were too busy. The one close to where I live that would be calmer, THE INNER SUNSET STORE in SF, has the old machine to transfer everything BUT it's been "BROKEN for a while and no idea of when it will get fixed". Glad I called before I took the bus there. She was also kind of condescending about how I should do it, more on that topic later. So a friend drove me down to Serramonte where I ordered it, they took great care of me, each person was nice. We got there early on a Sunday. I explained I bought it there and they were more than happy to help. Best it was via WiFi, no old machine. All the Inner Sunset store said was back it up, that's it. Sorry my old Mac doesn't have that capacity anymore. They gave no suggestions. The Inner Sunset store also didn't suggest how it was done in Serramonte, via WiFi. Amazing and more accurate than machine. Thank you Serramonte staff, and thanks for NOTHING INNER SUNSET STORE. The Serramonte store was super helpful and had a table with chairs and USB ports while your data transferred. Super nice set up. I won't go to any other T-Mobile in my city again. The T-Mobile store located in Serramonte shopping center near food court is the place you need to visit if you have any questions or looking to get a phone. I stopped by with my elderly dad and had problems with both his and my mothers phone. The manager Miguel was very friendly and professional in his introduction and what we needed. He told us Leslie was going to help us, had us sit down and within 5 minutes had us out the door with the problem fixed. She was amazing in fixing our phone issues and i let both of them know they have exceptional customer service presentation and skills and i wanted everyone to know where they should go with and Tmobile questions or issues or looking to buy a phone. They didnt refund money for activation fee , so i called to ask . Switched to T-Mobile after years with AT&T - what an improvement. Every time I have called T-Mobile customer service it has been answered right away by a live representative. No more waiting 30 minutes on hold for help. The price is lower - for our three phones it's about $20 a month less than AT&T was, but with T-Mobile it includes hotspot and Netflix which I did not get with AT&T. The coverage is not quite as good - a few more dead or slow spots here and there - for example, there is a conference room in my office where I don't get signal any more. I'd say it's probably 95% the coverage I had before with AT&T and it's rare I've noticed. Worth it for the price difference and excellent customer service in my book. read more

This review is for Sheridon, the fella who helped my mother and I transfer over from another network as well as purchase a new phone today. Sheridon was extremely informative and attentive throughout the whole process... and boy was it a long process. We had trouble attaining information from our old network in order to complete the switch and he assisted when he could, providing helpful guidance and suggestions. He was patient when we were on the phone with our old network (for what felt like forever & a day) and when my crazy mom was being flip floppy about getting a new phone, asking repetitive questions, and when we (my mom and I) were going at each other. After being overcharged by ATT for over a decade, we finally switched over to T mobile. The girl that helped with porting the numbers over and starting new service was really friendly and helpful. We had an issue with one of the 3 numbers we ported over and I had to call customer service to fix it after we left the store, but even then, the whole process was so much faster, cheaper, and more pleasant than ATT ever was. I talked to a rep over the phone (611) about activating a new SIM card for an existing phone number we have, and he told me I can walk into any T-Mobile store and they'll be more than glad to do it for me for free. This store tried to charge me $20 for it. I walked outside, and went to a T-Mobile kiosk in the mall instead. Guess what? They did it for free. Update on July 18, 2011: I take back everything I said and I would strongly suggest you to keep away from T Mobile. First thing first, this Eddie added data plan without my consent and continued billing me for 1.5 months ($140+) after I requested to close the account. The only way I can dispute about this charge is talking to the Eddie. To make things worse, this Eddie is a 3rd party vendor which quit T mobile to join Sprint and he refused to show up to talk about the payment. Awesome, informed, no-pressure service from the store manager. I was wary of stepping into this mall mobile phone store and getting pounced on by commission-hungry pink-shirted salesfolk. Instead, I ended up having a great, honest, high-information chat about switching from AT&T to T-mo. (We discussed new tower construction, 3G frequencies, corporate mergers... cabbages and kings). I left the store with a $10 prepaid SIM so I could test out the service before switching. Craigslist iphone unlock worked for $15, coverage with my iPhone is great at home and office, so I am making the leap and looking forward to the extra $100 in my pocket every month! I have had nothing but good service from this T-Mobile location. Generally, I am not very happy with the T-Mobile service when compared to Verizon., but the service in this store makes me forget about any issues I may have with the service. They helped me warranty my phone even though the T-Mobile representative told me that my warranty had expired the week prior to them diagnosing the problem. I tried to explain to the representative that I had been to the store multiple times, but the issue kept getting worse. They did the phone reset, removed the battery, changed the sim card, and updated the OS, but the phone kept losing signal. I went back to the store and they were able to send me a new phone under warranty. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Long overdue review about T Mobile and the manager of this store. When I first signed up with them, I brought over my old iPhone 7+ from the carrier that I had left. I visited this store to look around at the newer phones that came out recently at the time. The store manager, Sonny, introduced himself to me and offered to assist me in anyway. He was very cool, nice, helpful, and insisted that I should upgrade my phone. I decided to try it out since I had a 14 days return period. He told me that I would've to pay a restocking fee should I decide to return it. Nevertheless, I decided to go forward with it. He also sold me a phone case, screen protector to protect the phone. He said I didn't need to pay for it upfront because I can just do monthly payments for them on my bill. I said Sure, why not? During the 14 day trial, I didn't really see a whole big difference from the new phone to my old phone. Of course, the newer phone is newer, sleeker and some minor changes overall. After a week, I decided to return the phone and go back to my 7+. Sonny accepted my decision and told me I would need to pay the restocking fee. I said Ok. I gave him back all the boxes and original contents. Phone case, screen protector and etc. He did the returns. He told me I don't owe anything for the new phone, case and screen protector. I took his word for it. No paperwork at all. After a few more months or so, I got more increasingly frustrated by T Mobiles weak service/reception. My phone barely works around my work area. I had to use my company's wifi just to access data. Plenty of dropped/missed calls. I also checked with my other colleagues that had T Mobile as well to see if they got better luck. They all have the same issue as I got. I decided it was time for me to go to Verizon. When I try to call T Mobile to cancel my service, they started to give me the runaround. I forgot my account pin or password. They told me that I needed to go to a store and have a manager to help me unlock my account. I went back to Sonny. I told him I needed to cancel my service. He rudely has one of his sales staff to help me instead. He just ignored me and looked pretty instead while shuffling some cards. The sales guy told me to call a specific number. When I called it, T Mobile said I need to go back to the store to get it unlock. I told them that I already did that. They told me I need to try again. Frustratingly, I went back to the store. Sonny wasn't there that day, and another manager helped me out. He was able to verify my ID and information for me over the phone with HQ. When I received the final charges, I was overcharged by a month and more shockingly the phone case, screen protector was also on there too. Even though I had return everything back to Sonny and he claimed he removed them from my account. I called T Mobile to try to explain to them the situation in regards the case and SP. They told me that I need to go back to the store where I bought it from and talk to them. Of course when I went back to the store, he didn't want to help me. But he has no choice since I demanded to speak with the manager. Sonny finally came over. He's very rude and denied the fact that I had returned it to him along with the phone. He kept saying I don't remember I processed it and etc. I never got it back from you and etc. I asked him, are you crazy? Why the fuck would I keep the case and SP for if they don't even fit for my old phone?! Why would I keep it to try to make a profit out of it for?! He rudely said I need to show him the return receipt as proof that I had returned it to him. First of all, he never gave me a copy of it. He just told me verbally that he "removed" and processed them. Even if I was given the copy of receipt, I probably would've most likely lost or tossed it away. We live in the 20th century now. Everything is all electronic copy or filed. When I told him this, he said he doesn't have the return receipt on my file. Thats total BS!! Yet they got every single monthly bill on my file?! I called T Mobile service. They refused to let me off the charges for the accessories and the overcharged month. They said I need to pay the whole amount or my bill would be sent to a debt collection. I reluctantly paid the final overcharged bill. When I told them, I want to cancel my service. They kept trying to come up with excuses/reasons why I should stay. I said, Never ever again in my lifetime. Moral of the story: T mobile SUCKS!! Fake, sweet talking sales manager. He's treats you like VIP when you buy. When you want to cancel, He just coldly says Fuck you and screws you over. Their customer service over the phone sucks as well. Useless staff that dont care or listen and just gives you the runaround. Overcharging every dollar out of you as much as they can. Reception/signal is a complete fucking joke! If you want to pay $80 a month just to use wi-fi only, then T Mobile is good for you. Stay away! Buy from Apple instead! No restocking fees! read more
