Thankfully everything else was working (I could hear my notifications coming through and phone ringing, but couldn't see anything). I was hoping it would be an easy screen replacement so that I wouldn't have to shell out big $$$ for a new phone altogether. I was checking on Yelp the next day for mobile phone repair in the area and found a few. Applemeister had the best reviews, so I started reading through them. Someone mentioned that they have a Groupon, so I bought it, and then realized it's the same price as when you walk in, so at least you're still getting a deal! The other 2 places locally that replace screens were $10 more. They don't open until 10:30am, but if you work/live close by, it's not an issue. I headed up that way and got there a little after 10:30. Robert wasn't there yet, so the guy who works at the souvenir shop (Applemeister is in the back end of the souvenir shop) called him, explained my situation and was able to take my phone and information and told me to come back at 4pm. Around 2pm Robert called me to make sure of the color screen I wanted (since my phone had an after-market white screen on it instead of the standard black - thankfully he had one white one in stock) and said it would be done in about 20-30 minutes. I had a long work day, so couldn't pick it up until 4pm. When I arrived, my phone looked fantastic! Great customer service by Robert, fast repairs, convenient location and priced well. I also bought a tempered glass screen in addition because I'm clumsy and this will hopefully prevent another broken screen! Highly recommend Applemeister if you live in San Francisco and need phone or tablet repair!

My iPhone works perfect now. Considering how trashed it was, I was surprised it was still repairable. But T-Mobile refused to honor the rebate because we didn't buy the phone from one of their stores. We've since asked Wireless Land to make good on the rebate, but they haven't responded to our request. (It's been a month). 4) T-Mobile also won't honor the warranty on my crappy/broken Motorola phone for the same reason. The benefit of using a small independent wireless shop like this is that they are more knowledgeable and can give independent advice. (E.g. which phone to buy, which provider, which plan, unlock phones, etc.) These guys don't deliver on any of those counts. Therefore, if you know you're looking for a T-Mobile phone/package, I'd suggest you go directly to a T-Mobile store. If you want a small independent shop, I'd suggest you go to Mobile Fix at 12th and Irving. I've not been there, but their Yelp reviews are stellar.

I was unlucky because it's rare to get a defective screen, but I did. The screen kept freezing up and I texted Lew - he was so responsive and tried to help me trouble shoot. When nothing was working he made another appt with me and fixed it for me super fast and he noticed my iPhone case was a bit broken on the corner and also gave me a new case since I had to make 2 trips. They were able to complete this in half a day and I picked it up next morning. Odometer on my 2001 Toyota Camry was having issues on high temp days that cause the odometer to not display and the speedometer to remain only at zero. It seems to be a common issue with older 1997-2001 Camrys and the solution was to replace with a new resistor (I tried replacing the VSS, transmission solenoids, spark packs/wires/plugs, new alternator and battery) per a video on YouTube. They did a great job with the soldering of the new resistor and I put the odometer/speedometer back together and into the car with no issues. Now to see if this resolves my Camry issues! Big thank you to Andrea for her prompt replies to my questions and Carlos for ensuring that the techs knew what needed to be done!

I brought in my DualSense controllers to fix analog stick issues and paid $100 to repair three knobs. Just one week later, I had the exact same issue with one of the supposedly repaired sticks. When I brought it back, I was charged an additional $60 to fix what should have already been resolved. What's most frustrating is that I couldn't get a clear explanation as to why I was being charged again for the same issue. If a repair doesn't hold up after a week, that should fall under some kind of workmanship guarantee--not an additional charge. I want to continue supporting this business because I've had good experiences in the past, but this situation felt unfair and left me questioning the quality and accountability of the repairs.

Melika found a charger that predates several iPhone generations and helped me recover years of photos that I thought were gone forever. The laptop got replaced but my photos were held hostage. What one Verizon Virizon sales person sold me on and was cancelled less than 48 hours later, I've had my services locked twice and pathetic help with both their tier-one and tier-two customer service.
