Went there five times in a month to attempt to get billing and services worked out. Each time they were more concerned with making money than keeping a customer happy. I had to go over the phone to threaten termination of service to get my issues resolved. Will not go back to this branch for any reason. Only reason I gave two stars instead of one is at least they smile and are friendly when not doing what you need. read more

This review is from before COVID time, so no excuses for bad service. I ported in 5 lines from T-Mobile to AT&T in December 2019 during a promo for each line via credits. I traded in 5 excellent condition phones in person to this store. They verified the phones and accepted all the trade-ins happily providing me a receipt. The monthly credits never started and I am still fighting them for the credits (oct 2020). This store messed up the trade-in so badly that no one has any ideas where the phones are. Better go to Verizon or T-Mobile who have their processes in order. ATT is a relic from past with too much legacy baggage and no processes in place. Avoid at all costs. read more

I will try and make this short and not ramble because I am tired and three hours later, I am still mad. I have the old grandfathered plan of unlimited data and a very old iPhone. I went to the Murphy store tonight looking to get a new phone and change my plan. I am currently paying $125/month for one line and my phone is paid off. Joe was the sales guy helping us. At first, he seemed okay and seemed genuinely interested and knew what he was talking about. I asked about the difference in last years iPhone X and the one that was just released. I asked him 3 or 4 times to break down the rates with me and to discuss the data plan we would be changing. He said the best option would be to change my plan to AT&Ts unlimited plan because the old plan I have right now is capping my data at a lower rate anyways. I told him I didn't want to pay more than what I'm paying now because $125 for one line is ridiculous and my phone is terribly slow anyways and I hardly get service anywhere. Long story short, we discussed the iPhones and he told me my plan would be $116 a month ($70 for unlimited plan, $35 for the monthly payment plan of the phone, and taxes). He said I could add $12/month insurance and he recommended it. Sweet! I asked another 3 times what the "fine print" is and if there were any other charges or if it would be a set $116/month. He said yes, that's the price without insurance and we could add that if we wanted. I said yes to insurance so $126? Something that rubbed me the wrong way, I asked what colors the phone came in and he said "silver or black." I asked if I could see both and he pointed and said "they are right over there." With somewhat of an attitude. Okay fast forward...we are doing paperwork. He is briefly saying things under his breath while going through the contract. He mumbles in that there is a $33 prorated one time fee for changing my contract. I just said, okay that's fine, but would have been good to know. A page or two later, he mumbles again "there will be a $35 activation fee for the phone." Now I'm a little annoyed and told him I asked multiple time for all of the numbers up front. He doesn't say much and continues to another page and shows me my bill will be $170/month (not including the $10 discount for autopay). So now I'm really upset because he told me $116 a month and I'm not paying $170 for one line. He seems to skim through it and figure out why the price is so high but basically just says "do you still want the new phone or not?" A manager or whoever comes over and looks at it because we are pissed at this point and says something like "wow they are charging you a really high monthly tax fee. That doesn't look right. How odd." And walks away. Joe is staring at me like, do you want to continue so we can wrap this up or what?!? Because obviously he was ready to clock out and go home. So at this point I just say cancel everything and maybe I will come back later. The entire time I'm standing there with my crying baby and basically just want to leave. My husband is there so I said I will walk to target while he finishes up. The guy already shut off my current phone, for whatever reason, before anything was paid for, signed, etc. i asked him before I left if my phone was fine to take and if he needed anything else with it. He said no and it should be back on in a minute. so my husband stays and I leave. 40 minutes later my husband walks into target. My phone is still disconnected. Husband has my SIM card in his hand. Why the guy didn't put my SIM card back in before I left is beyond me but whatever. He was not good at his job and seemed really annoyed that he was having to work with us. I'm pretty pissed by all of it still. He wasted 1.5 hours of everyone's time and I still need a new phone. Thanks, Joe!! read more

TRASH TRASH TRASH. I went in on 3/27 spoke with an Alyssa who works there and was told if I switched over to AT&T that we could upgrade to NEW phones AND they would pay off our old phones in FULL. This is A LIE AND A SCAM SO THESE AGENTS CAN GET THEIR COMMISSION PAYCHECKS. I woke up to a $910.38 charge from my previous carrier and when we called them to see why we were charged, my old carrier stated the phones were never paid in full. I called the AT&T call center, no one helped me. They advised I go into the store and speak with a manager and get the ID of the agent who helped us. I go, as instructed and Dallas, this stores manager would not supply me with it. He stated "this store and my agents are all about integrity" and that is a JOKE. I WAS LIED TO AND THEY DIDNT CARE THAT I CRIED IN THE STORE. Do NOT switch to AT&T and do not believe anything they say. They will say what they want for their paychecks...all while taking my whole paycheck. No one cared, called me a liar and sent me on my way. I filed a claim and had to get a lawyer involved. The employee's at this store are ridiculously rude and dishonest. AVOID THIS STORE!! I designated this store when purchasing online as my pickup location so I could have my phones sooner. I received notification that my phone was ready to pick up so I headed up to the store. The store manager, BJ, would not allow me to pick my phones up unless he cancelled the order and reordered it from his store so he could get credit for the purchase and plan changes I had made and trust me when I say he was SO OVER THE TOP RUDE TO ME the whole time! I decided to leave and call ATT directly to resolve the issue and was told he had already cancelled my order. ATT was pretty outraged at his behavior as well. SO DISHONEST and UNREAL how rude they were! read more

I Am rating this under my wife's yelp account. Sammie greeted me at the door and I explained that my wife had dropped the phone and now it was not responsive. Sammie spent a little time playing with the phone and it came back to life. Sammie explained that sometimes when the phone is dropped that the tiny gears inside sometimes get misaligned/shaken. A very good outcome. She took care of me right away and didn't just put me on the wait list. My previous experience with this store a couple of months ago ended with a mixed Result - not totally positive. I decided to give this store another chance, knowing that a different person can give you a different experience. I'm glad I did. Only 4stars because there was not an in-depth need on my behalf to deal with contracts, etc. maybe next time they will get 5stars. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Holding the door open for customers does not trump good customer service! Do not go. As a 20 year AT&T service customer, my phone and my daughters phone had recently completed a 2-year agreement. We simply wanted to buy 2 new iPhone 6s' and sign two additional 2-year agreements. I know my options on the 2-year agreement vs. the Next plan where you pay installments. My youngest daughter is on that plan (know the advantages/disadvantages). So, they simply stated they would not sign a new 2-year agreement without explaining the Next option. I told them I already knew, and have a kid on that program. Alex was completely rude and refused to take my business. I walked over to the Manager and another lady asking to help me. The lady said sure, but then she too refused to sell me iPhones and two new agreements. I asked for the Manager, Ed, and he did the SAME thing! I was literally shocked - thought it was candid camera where I was being punk'd. I was trying to not only buy new iPhones at AT&T but allowing them to lock me in for another 2 years and they would not relent on the NEXT program. UNBELIEVABLE. So, I went to Verizon. They are #1 in nationwide coverage, bought out one daughters Next contract and our monthly payments are lower. CHECK VERIZON before you give any more business to AT&T, and forget about this AT&T location. They are horrible, horrible, horrible! Ed is the Manager, and Cottrell is the District Manager who was appalled as well to hear about that service! read more

Today I received a phone (used from ebay) and took it in to get a sim card for it. Ricky (hope the spelling is correct) helped me. We talked as he was transferring my contacts and getting me sim card. I happen to ask him if they work on commission, to which he replied yes. The reason I asked him this was that anytime somebody was walking in there was an employee who met them at the door and helped them. Now when he is all done and I ask about what I owe him he says nothing. So basically instead of passing me off or rushing me out the door he helped me without anything to gain. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. As for the other reviews, I am ok with them making commission. It's nice somebody is honest. When your honest and give someone exactly what they want, everybody wins! read more

This isn't a review for this corporate location but for the preferred retailer that's down the road near 78. I came in just for a physical paper copy of my bill. It was apparent that when they learned I wasn't purchasing anything they told me they couldn't help me and told me to go to the corporate location. I don't understand what's so hard about printing a bill just so I can keep it fur my records. Needless to say after wasting my time I came into this location where they did as I asked. I no longer have AT&T needless to say. I can get the same service elsewhere for half the cost. AT&T should refocus on customer satisfaction and going above and beyond rather than having its reps sit in chairs all day and having social hour. read more

I'm not happy with this store. I went in there before Christmas and was given a quote on how much my bill would be with new phones and data plan. My quote was explained to me several times as only costing $50/ mo than what I was currently paying. Well what I didn't know and what the sales guy didn't tell me it he was quoting based off my paid bills ledger which include taxes and fees. That was his base reference point. His $50 more for new phones didn't include that. So after I get my first bill it's now $80 more, not $50 after the taxes and fees were thrown in. I talked to the guy who helped me who was nice about it but couldn't help. He said he'd talk to his manager about it and he said the same. I guess I need to ask more questions next time and it's obvious ATT doesn't care how long you've been their customer. So if you find yourself going to this store, be sure you get the fees right or they'll pull a fast one on you like they did me. read more

Do not buy any extra products from any of the Att stores! Cases, chargers, Pop Sockets, etc. They are way to expensive even with a discount. Secondly they have a 14 DAY RETURN POLICY that's bull crap! That means you will not get your money back and cannot exchange for a different item. They are a billion dollar company and they do not take care of you when it comes to the products they sell to you on the side! read more

I've been a wireless customer of AT & T for 20+ years. I have 3 business accounts and 1 family account--spend about $10K per year with AT & T.. Went to this location to buy my wife an iPhone. I knew the model and the rate--all I needed was someone to take care of the transaction. When I walked in, a nice young lady offered to "check me in" and got my name, phone # and why I was there. Then the waiting started. There were 5 (yes 5) employees standing around passing the time--no one bothered to ask if they could help. There were 7 customers in the store and all but 2 were waiting like me.. After 20 minutes of watching this high-level anti-customer behavior, I asked the check-in lady if there were employees available to actually help with sales transactions. I pointed out the 5 person "social club" and indicated my frustration. She said 2 of the loafers were managers. I asked her how they "manage to ignore customers and still have jobs". The "manager" named BJ was particularly useless. All he did for the 1 hour plus time I was there was stroll around and act like he was too good to actually serve a customer. They have a digital display showing where you are on the waiting list. I was #4 when I checked in, and #4 after I waited for 45 minutes. One guy finally approached and said "what are you doing here today?" Even though they got the information when I checked in, I told him. He said "we're going to take care of you soon" and then disappeared into the back room. A new customer came into the store and walked up to the service counter. He did not check in. He asked BJ to help him with a problem he was having with his phone and rather than telling him to check in and wait his turn, BJ and another clerk started helping him. That did it. I went to the check-in lady and said "I am leaving. I want you to know this has been an unacceptable, anti-service experience and I plan on giving all of my business to another carrier (T-Mobile). BJ overheard me and said "wait, what's wrong?" I told him.I also told him that he and his team had spent the better part of an hour ignoring the customers (by now there we about 8 people in the waiting que). BJ said "we are not ignoring customers-we take care of the people who have small issues first--this actually makes it faster for you". ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have owned and operated 38 retail stores for 30 years and I can tell you that BJ has no clue how to serve customers. I am willing to bet this AT & T location is one of the lowest performers in the DFW area. If you value your time and sanity, pick another location, or another carrier. BJ does not deserve even one star. read more
