I honestly didn't know what to expect, but I don't believe I was expecting this. There were three adults (the ones that I saw). I got a one-hour foot massage done by an older lady. Personally didn't care that she was massaging me with gloves. I can understand it; I was not too fond of it. I wanted her to put some force into it, and I asked her, but it didn't happen thoroughly--a total disappointment for me. I came in to treat my sister. I can't buy her a gift certificate because she will not go. From the pictures, I knew it was not going to be anything fancy and wanted to give them a try because there are some excellent reviews on here. Let's start off from the premise that this is in no way a high end spa. It's not even a pretty little foot massage joint. It's a 2nd story storefront shop in a rundown strip mall. What they do have is outstanding massage techs and prices. I have been in pain for 3 days and after an hour on the table, limiting the area of focus to my hips and legs, the pain is gone. This was my second time coming to at ease massage, with my fiancé who has been coming here for years. She prefers one of the female masseuse, but it appears management has forced us to look elsewhere for massage services. Today, my 87-year-old father-in-law to be, my fiancé and myself scheduled 3 60-minute massages with three different female providers. After running my credit card, he tells me that they were only two females and one male masseur. My fiancé reminds him that we prefer female providers and asked if there is anything he can do. He smiles and walked away. Also, we discovered that the preferred female masseuse that my fiancé has been going to for years is not even in the building. We decided to cancel all three massages and he appears visibly upset and one of the employees tries to comfort him. Afterwards, he escalated and spoke in a very loud manner to all of us before we left. I will not return and do not recommend this establishment. Came here the Sunday before last for a 90 minute deep tissue right when they opened at 10am, and it was lovely. My massage therapist was a sweet petite woman and asked right at the beginning if I wanted her to walk on my back. I was hesitant, since I've never had that done, but I agreed and it was excellent. The only negative part of my experience was upon parking, I went up to the second floor via the main stairwell and it was populated with trash and homeless people. The smell was horrible and one guy came up to me and started speaking Spanish. I quickly moved past him and made it into At Ease, but that little walk from the stairs to the second floor made me so nervous. I told the gentleman at the front desk that I was uncomfortable and if there was a better way to exit, and he pointed toward an alternative entrance/exit for next time, which was up a driving ramp. read more

Let's get a few things out of the way 1st. They charge you before your massage, they don't speak English well, and they ALWAYS ask for more tip. Always. This is my 8th visit and I have come to the conclusion that I will not be coming back. At 1st, I really like this place as the 1st massuse I had massaged me really well and didn't ask for more tip when I tipped her. So that made me come back, but each visit got worse. After the 1st visit, they never massaged areas I needed most because they have a hard time understanding English. So I always left unsatisfied and they always felt I had to tip them more that what I felt they needed. Let's talk about the tipping. If you go in here thinking a massage is 45 dollars they want 65. Yes, at least a 20 dollar tip. I had an argument with one of them because I didn't want to give them 20 dollars more on top of the 45 dollars I already paid. That's insane and asking for too much for a mediocre massage. Another issue I had with them was their $25 dollar massage. Don't be fooled by it, it's only a foot massage and nothing more, and they will always push you to get a more expensive massage. In fact, I went in for a foot massage once and they said "sorry I won't do that, but I can do combo foot and back". You read that right, she refused to give me just a foot massage so she can get more money. I have never been to a place that does this and is very disappointing. In conclusion, this place has mediocre massages and has really shady business practices. This isn't my 1st visit either, this is my 8th, and I haven't been satisfied since the 1st time I went here. read more

This was the best massage I've ever gotten. I asked for a lady masseuse when I called to make an appointment, and I got Lucy. I highly recommend her! Making an appointment was easy, they were friendly when I had to reschedule, and they called 1.5 hours beforehand to confirm my appointment. Lucy was so sweet, and she asked me twice during my massage if I was doing ok. I told her I liked more pressure, and she kept it up throughout my massage. (Many masseuses will do it harder for a few minutes and then ease up.) She did body walking, which I've never had done before. My $45 for a 1-hour body massage (typical pricing) was worth it for the body walking alone. Lucy also used hot towels on my back, which felt nice. The body massage includes everything except your chest and between your legs; Lucy massaged everything else. I didn't feel like she violated my privacy at all, but if privacy is a concern for you, you might want to find a place that lets you keep your clothes on. The private room was pretty spacious. It was a nice color with minimal decor. Although it had 3 beds in it, I was the only one in there. I wasn't sure where to put my stuff since there weren't any shelves, but there was a big rack under the bed, so I put my stuff there. The music was not the typical Asian music you hear in massage places. It was instrumentals of old hymns/worship songs, although you wouldn't know that if you haven't gone to church very often. They were very relaxing instrumental songs. After my massage, Lucy and the receptionist greeted me warmly and asked how I felt. Lucy gave me a cup of water and a card that's good for a free massage once you get 10 bubbles checked off. Lucy signed 2 of the bubbles since I got an hour-long massage. Tried this place for the first time today, was able to get a last minute appointment. However I was initially told on the phone it was $40 for an hour when I got there they said $50. I asked if they could focus on a specific part of my back that I have constant pain and that did not happen. I didn't expect them to pull my underwear down past my butt and massage my cheeks was a little awkward for me a little, also the lady lazily dropped the sheet over me and I didn't hear her or feel her so I looked up and seen she had stepped our the room and left the door open. He still offers chair massage in this place on 7th St and Bear Valley Rd in Victorville. I find that the best therapists at this place are the older ladies. Though hardly old, they are older than some of the young ones and they are worth asking for - or - if you get the chance to choose just go with the senior masseuses. Lisa is consistently really good. She always chats with me beforehand to get a sense of what areas might need more focus that day and goes over what she plans to do during the session. It's a cozy, soothing atmosphere without being overly new-agey. My absolute favorite part is that she uses soft flannel bedsheets for draping. As for the massage itself, Amanda knows how to apply firm pressure without feeling like its all thumbs. I usually go for a stress-relieving rubdown, but she also has experience working with sports-related injuries and pain. Her studio is close to all the popular Irving/9th spots, so I love to get a massage in the morning and grab lunch in the area. read more
