We thought it was time to get the Chimny swept so we called and scheduled a service date. Their technician came out. He was very nice and polite and after about a half hour, he came up and told us he's never worked on one of these inserts before and did not know how to do it and he'd have to reschedule. We rescheduled and he came back a second time, he took the Fireplace all apart, went up on the roof and put his tool down the chimney after about 20 minutes. He came back and said he's got some bad news. He got his tool And he could not get it unstuck he'd have to come back. He left the fireplace and all of the parts laying around, but we did we rescheduled for a third time, this time the manager came out. He was also very nice and polite. He got the tool unstuck. And put everything back together. I'm not sure I would recommend the Fireplace Center, at least for a Chimny Sweep

Seek and Find is one of my go-to spots when I'm looking for furniture or home decor. If you just…read moreneed to freshen up your home this is a great spot to start. The selection changes almost daily so it's fun to pop-in to see what's new. Seasonal pieces are also fun to purchase here as you never know what you'll run across. Today, I purchased a wall decor piece, if you will, with metal trim and a small, fall wreath attached in the middle. It's perfect for me as I can change out wreaths depending on the holiday or occasion and it's going on my deck. Along with the wall decor piece, I found some gorgeous candlesticks that work perfectly in my home and work with my candle obsession. The house has furniture and home decor on the wrap around porch as well as the rooms inside this two-story house converted to a business. You can find refurbished furniture with a new life of fresh and stylish paint, unique items, antiques of all types, lamps, wreaths, floral arrangements, candlesticks/candles, wooden signs, jeans, flannel shirts, ball caps, other clothing and jewelry. The ladies here are pros at painting and they carry several types of paint with many different shades. If you're unsure what type of paint is best for your project, preparing the item or have any type of questions, just ask. They are super about answering questions whether it's furniture, kitchen cabinets or vanities. Stop in. It's worth a short trip to see the various displays and enjoy a house with so many cool pieces for farmhouse contemporary, rustic, children rooms and always dining room/kitchen furniture.

If you know me, then you likely also know I'm not really the Rural King target customer. I've…read morealways been fascinated by the store, however, I've never visited until I decided to drop in while having breakfast at the nearby Emmy's. I was on my way to do some more clearing out of my recently passed father's home. I've been intentionally having experiences that make me smile in an effort to balance all the emotions. What can I say? Rural King made me smile. From looking at other reviews, it's obvious that this is a relatively new spot for Rural King. It's on the western end of Avon not long before you head into Danville. While I tend to be a city boy (eastside of Indy), my parents lived in Putnam County and were what I'd call rural-lite. You will mostly find Rural King in, you guessed it, rural areas because it's a store clearly aimed at the rural lifestyle. That said, there's much to find for a city boy like me and often at much better prices than you'd expect. For example, the bird seed that I bought today was clearly at a much better price than you'll find in most stores and even online options (including the not named mega-online option). There's accessible parking here and an easy to enter front entrance. Aisles are wide enough for wheelchair users and there are employees present who are more than willing to help. They are friendly without being pushy. As I looked around, I will admit I really was having quite a bit of fun. Rural King carries clothing (mostly work/farm brands), gardening items, outdoor furniture, farm items, home goods, automotive, pet, and quite a bit more. They offer popcorn and coffee for shoppers. I was amazed at the bird seed prices. As a person fairly new with ensuring my bird feeder is always full, a place like Rural King makes that possible. Rural King carries all the familiar quality brands (Carhartt galore here) and the atmosphere for shopping is warm, welcoming, and yet also professional. If I hadn't been on the way to clear out a house, I'd have no doubt bought even more. I still bought bird seed as it was simply too good to pass up. My birds said "Thank you." The check out person was super friendly (she apologized for being a bit slow as she had some difficulty scanning a price). She signed me up for rewards (I have no idea why I signed up as I don't live close) and offered help (I should mention I am a wheelchair user) without being overly pushy about it. This was a blast. I would easily return as much for the atmosphere as the items. Good people. Good products. Good prices. I'll be back.

They have always had a bigger selection of bird feed or all types for your outdoor feathered friends as well as cool little hanging feeders. Depending on the season they have livestock as in chicks, ducklings, turkeys and even rabbits. The kids always get a kick out of that. I dig the place for the snacks you can find that to me seem to be somewhat unique. Even the toys they have are something different and plushies galore! Always got to get my kids a couple. The staff has always been super friendly and seem like they actually enjoy being there. Check it out!

This HomeGoods feels small. It feels quite a bit smaller than Castleton, though it's interior design is quite similar. I must admit that I have mixed feeling about HomeGoods. There's no denying the good prices on home decor and necessities, however, the shopping experience is almost universally a mid-range experience for me. I sure don't consider it wheelchair friendly, though it meets ADA (which is a bare minimum standard). There's accessible parking out front. The doors are automatic and easily workable. That's really where accessibility ends. The carts are outside the store, a bit of a hassle. The store has fairly narrow aisles and is incredibly cluttered. While I realize not every store is made for a relaxed shopping experience, I've always felt like I spend more in the places where I feel comfortable. I don't feel comfortable here and had at least five aisles I couldn't access in my wheelchair either because of other people, employees, or items blocking the path. I found the selection here paltry at best. Every item I looked at, I ended up finding a handful of options. I found nothing I wanted and was incredibly disappointed with the selection - yes, the prices were good on those items. The service lines are always long here and employees pace themselves as if they're still learning how to do the job. The employees are more functional than friendly. There's literally nothing that makes me want to return. That said, I can't say it was awful. It wasn't. It was just average. The prices are good. The layout is easy to understand. It works. I just think it could be so much better. I left quickly. I left without purchasing. I can't fathom a reason to return.

If your home is decorated in one of these styles, stop in. I enjoy browsing Outta the Shed in Plainfied because the staff is so friendly, and the items are clean, quality pieces, and booths are restocked often. The shop smells amazing from the moment you walk in. All types of candles and melts are to the left as you enter and throughout the shop. This trip, I was looking for a few new pieces to refresh my home after removing my Christmas decoration and taking back to storage. My home always feels bare and not as cozy after removing the Christmas decor. My main reason for running around in this bitter cold is to add more greenery, maybe some new artwork (looking for botanicals), and maybe some new throw pillows for additional accent colors. The prices are reasonable, so I can afford to replace smaller accent items when I tire of them. I only picked up two new candles and 3 packages of candle melts today, but I took pictures of several items I could use. The items change often, so I need to pop back in soon after they restock with new items. Affordable, unique pieces, collectibles, antiques, linens, cookware, purses, hats, with a dedicated area for current and vintage jewelry and clothing with numerous jeans, and a variety of boots and shoes. If your home is decorated in one of the above-mentioned styles, stop in the shop.
