Be prepared to pay more!! They've put stickers over the printed prices on a ton of items. The chair I went for was marked $100 higher than the printed price tag!!! Thanks but I'll be shopping elsewhere moving forward.

Best place ever. Their Christmas inventory is AMAZING. It's like your visiting north pole Santa's shop. WOW MY LIVING ROOM TURNED IN TO A WINTER WONDERLAND, thanks to this store!

I mentioned to a friend that I was headed to one of the big chains (rhymes with Sprawl-Mart) to pick up some furniture for my balcony. He said I should head here instead and what a great suggestion that was. GR is a MASSIVE store with not just outdoor furniture but they also stock tons and tons of really neat stuff for indoors too. In the lawn furniture section, I had a selection of prices colors and styles. I managed to narrow down to a neat and comfy pair of chairs with a foot rest and matching side table. All for less than a hundred bucks! What's not to love? Yep, it's probably only going to last a season or two. But do I really want to pay three times as much for something that will last forever? Sorry, but my budget won't stretch that far.

You must come here with a plan, otherwise you will be totally overwhelmed. This is the kind of store that has 1,000 candles to choose from and the place you're going to find the candle that's the perfect shade of blue. They also have hundreds of flower pots, cushions for outdoor furniture, paintings, mirrors, baskets, pillows, desks, and the list goes on. Tips: -Come before noon and avoid weekend shopping if possible. -Do not bring non-passionate shoppers (husbands, children, etc.). -Have a list, wear sneakers, and be prepared to do some walking. The store is 150k sq feet. -Know you're going to spend some serious time here .... today I spent 3 hours! -Expect the store to be messy. -If you like having help from a clerk, this isn't your spot! In 3 hours of shopping, I saw 4 employees (2 of which were working the checkout counter). -Understand what you're paying for - this place has tons of options at low prices. You are not going to find quality pieces that will hold up over time at an At Home store.

You could spend hours in Garden Ridge. I go in there a couple of times a year and there are always new items in stock. It's a giant warehouse full of...all kinds of "stuff." This past weekend, we got a bathroom rug and some artificial flowers. This past summer, we got a great outdoor patio dining set. They've got everything from holiday merchandise to lamps to to bedding to rugs to furniture to artificial plants/flowers to luggage to kitchenware to art to candles. If you're looking for Christmas decorating ideas this season, stop by Garden Ridge. They have a huge supply of outdoor decorations, artificial trees, and row upon row of ornaments and other indoor decor. You can almost always find a sale at Garden Ridge, but sometimes you've gotta hunt and peck through their warehouse of merchandise to find just that thing you want/need at the price you want to pay. It's that giant building behind the Carolina Place mall that looks like a Home Depot at first glance.

Most of the decorations came from at home!

At Home is like a decoration warehouse! This particular location is great because they always keep products job stock! I've been to some locations that feel like they're closing because the stock is so sparse. I always go to At Home for my Christmas decorations because they keep up with the latest style and they're affordable! The store is usually neat and easy to navigate. My only recommendation for the company in general would be to offer price adjustments for recent purchases. Recently I purchased some Christmas decorations that went on sale the next day. Instead of being able to do a price adjustment, I had to return all the items and repurchase them which was a little tedious on the cashier.

    It said what it says!!!!

Everything here is basically handmade or painted, so it's unique and you won't walk into your neighbors house and find the same setup as the chain retail furniture places. I wasn't sure if I could haggle so I just found something sighing my price range. This place is so cozy it's like each section is a part of your home and you could totally see every single piece in your House. That's amazing. I've lived two minutes a way for 13 years and never took to patronizing the shops on Main more than once. Mainly because I assumed it was out of my price range. But guess what...it isn't and you get what you pay for. And quality costs and here I wouldn't mind. Definitely will return for more goodies. Oh and the sales lady was nice and inviting and very help

There were a couple of ladies circled in the back of the store engaged in conversation. Aside from this intimate circle, no one else was in the store. Also, it is a small store, so you absolutely can see when someone comes in. The cold shoulder led me to leave the store, and visit Kiki's Kottage (which is only a few doors down) where I was promptly and warmly greeted. Kiki's has beautiful pieces, and I purchased a gorgeous buffet there. I had a stellar customer service experience from start to finish at Kiki's. I was prepared to purchase items at Madison's, but too bad no one cared to acknowledge me as a customer whatsoever.

Service Dog Denied Entry…read more I am leaving this review to document my experience at Southern Lion regarding access with my service dog. I have a service dog that assists me with a disability related to severe anxiety. My dog was wearing a clearly visible service-dog vest and was being transported in a stroller. When I attempted to enter the store, an employee told me that dogs were not permitted. I explained that my dog was a service dog and specifically stated that I was protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The employee responded that no dogs, including service dogs, were allowed in the store. She then stated that my dog could not be a legitimate service dog because, in her words, "service dogs are not in strollers." I explained that my dog was a service dog and offered to provide documentation. She told me she did not need to see any documentation because she did not recognize my dog as a service dog. The employee continued directing me toward the exit. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that she was the manager. When I asked who was above her, she responded that "the only person above me is G-d." While I was attempting to speak with another employee about whether they understood the ADA requirements, my dog barked once. The manager then stated that because my dog had barked, we had to leave. As we were leaving, the manager told me to "go ahead and call the police" and report her. I want to be clear about what concerns me most: under the ADA, businesses open to the public generally must permit service animals to accompany people with disabilities in areas where members of the public are allowed to go. The ADA also does not permit a business employee to determine that an animal is not a service animal simply because they personally do not "recognize" it as one. In addition, the ADA's service-animal provisions do not establish a requirement that a service animal must be walking beside its handler rather than being transported in a stroller. I am not claiming that every circumstance involving a service animal automatically requires a business to allow the animal inside. There are specific circumstances under the ADA where a service animal may lawfully be excluded. However, the reasons given to me were that the store does not allow dogs, that the employee did not recognize my dog as a service dog, that service dogs are not in strollers, and later that my dog barked once. I found the interaction particularly troubling because I attempted to explain that my dog was a service dog, offered to provide documentation, and asked to speak with management. Rather than discussing the ADA's requirements or addressing the situation appropriately, I was escorted out and told to report the employee if I wished. I hope Southern Lion will review what happened, provide appropriate ADA training to its employees, and ensure that customers with disabilities and legitimate service animals are treated respectfully and consistently with federal law. This review reflects my firsthand account of what occurred and the statements made to me by the employee.
