I would not recommend purchasing a pre-lit Christmas tree here. I purchased mine in 2024, it worked great but in November when the tree was set up, I noticed the lights started to fail. I then reached out to the store to obtain the name of their manufacturer to find out the warranty only got the run around and was offered a $50 card to buy new lights. I didn't pay $600 to only use the tree once and have to string the lights myself. I did end up locating the warranty, which explores December 20 2026 but the manufacturer was also no help. I love to shop here! They were previously Garden Ridge many years ago and they regrouped to be At Home. I love looking for seasonal merchandise, kitchen gadgets, picture frames and rugs. Today's goal was to find some throw rugs. I have an older dog who sometimes has trouble slipping on the hardwood floors, so a few throw rugs will help her regain her footing. I was trying to match one that I already had and while I didn't find quite the size I was looking for, I did find a couple that matched and will do the job. I like that everyone is spaced out in one line and then is called to the next available cashier. Our cashier today was a young man (sorry didn't catch his name) but he was very fast and friendly. I've been going in this store for a while now and it has a great selection and the prices are very reasonable. Usually when I go in there I don't really pay attention to what staff are doing but last time I did I was NOT very happy with what I saw. I saw what I could have sworn were supervisors vaping while working on the isles. I didn't catch all the young ladies names but one stood out! It was Karla because my sister spells her name the exact same way. When I walk into a store, any store I expect the people that work there to be professional at all times! Puffing on your Vape inside your place of work is NOT professional! It shows me you really don't care and it shows me that their supervisors don't really care either! I do thank the cashiers that work there though because they are always nice and helpful!! Poor quality items that are NOT worth the money. I bought a flow vase that had dents and scratches on it and the associate Emily thought it was no big deal. She wasn't helpful and I asked why all of their items are scratched with dents and her response was " I don't know". Then went on to say you can wipe it off, rub her hand over the marks and they didn't budge! I went in the store and they all are that way! Unless you love to have glitter on EVERYTHING, I highly recommend avoiding this place. I came in to look for decorative pillows, and could not buy anything since literally everything is covered in glitter. The parking lot even has a dusting of glitter. Does this store not get cleaned or is there so much glitter that it cannot be cleaned? I get a little sparkle for the holidays, but the home area should be kept clean. If you are looking for super smelly potpourri that is sure to give you a headache, this is your store! It is a discount store but my experience with the lovely Noreen was less helpful than a road side flee market. And not everything is discounted! Smart water that sells for between$1.50-$2.00 was $2.29 here. Meyers multi surface cleaner is about $2 cheaper at Target. Noreen was overall bitchy and unhelpful. I was dealing with a table that had scratches and she provided me the numbers of the two stores so I could call to see if they had one. One of the numbers was wrong. I was buying $400 worth of merchandise (until I noticed scratches all over the table once we got it outside) so some general manners and perhaps a smile might make it feel like not such a mistake. This place doesn't have the best reviews but I would argue different than them. I love how well the store is laid out. Things were very easy to find. My husband and I were looking for cushions for our outdoor patio furniture. They have huge racks of cushions all color coordinated. Prices were cheap, especially compared to Pier 1. I love how they have things laid out by room so you can get ideas. They had beach themes, kid themes, romantic themes, etc. Customer service wasn't amazing. The girl at checkout seemed to hate life. Their patio furniture cushions have a very thin filler, when you sit on your lawn furniture you can feel the metal slats. At Home will not take them back, we had them one day, we had our receipt. The manager said it's their store policy to not take them back. So unfortunate, They are pretty, but very painful and comfortable due to the think filler that is used in their cushions. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I went to return something within the 60 day return window and they would only give me 50% back because the items are now 50% off. So if you want to return something within the return window, but it goes on sale, you will lose money. Although the store has a sign out front asking shoppers to wear masks, and asks that their employees wear masks, they do not care if shoppers wear masks or not. When I asked the manager why they allow shoppers in the store without a mask, he shrugged. I mentioned the executive order for masks and he told me that it had expired. This was a lie because it is still in effect for counties where there are 20 or more cases (Collin County is one of those and not exempted.) He then defensively told me he would not throw out shoppers for not wearing a mask (which I did not ask him to do.) This experience would not have been an issue if he had simply said he doesn't enforce the policy, which is weird because the store employees have to wear masks. What I found bothersome was that he tried to lie about a statewide executive order to justify his inaction to help curb the viral pandemic goin on now. If mask-wearing is important to you, I cannot recommend this store as a place to safely shop in. read more

The best place to go to when you just bought a house and you need to decorate. They have everything!! It's even better to go during Christmas, which starts in like something crazy early like September. I'm usually a bargain shopper and even the regular price stuff is such a good deal. One of my favs are their vases. They're gorgeous, unique accent pieces that are not expensive at all. They have everything from bed sets, throw pillows, fake individual flowers, flowers in pots, or big fake plants, storage containers, patio equipment, rugs, paintings of all sizes, indoor and outdoor decor, candles, kitchen accessories, etc. You can walk all day here. They're moving to another location but nearby. That poor plano center might die without At Home. They're currently having a moving sale, so the prices are even better! read more

This at Home store is moving. Everything is marked 30-50% off! There are still lots of deals to be had. There was a lot of outdoor furniture looking for a good home. It's still fairly organized with glass vases, flowers, furniture, pictures, and lots of pots. I was told the move will be to the old Kohls building on 75 off of Parker road in Plano. This location is great - a little difficult to find if you're relying on GPS, but once you get there it is worth the effort. It is located on a side street that is not easily accessible if you're replying on GPS for directions. This location I feel lives up to the At Home reputation of having everything under the sun while providing great customer service. I went in looking for 1 pillow and walked out with extra items, well, a bunch of extra items, and only spent $55 bucks. You can't beat that! I like the layout of the store and it is very clean. I think the staff must spend hours making sure everything is accounted for and organized because nothing is out of place here. You don't even see items that were misplaced by customers sitting out on the floor. They are also very well stocked. I'm used to the At Home locations in other states where the store is empty, or at least fully stocked with random items and missing key items like decor. I feel whoever keeps up with their inventory here does a great job anticipating demand with seasonal items. The staff is also very helpful. I needed assistance finding a specific picture frame that I saw at another At Home location and the staff here went above and beyond to walk me to the frames section to help me find it. Keep in mind, it took looking behind frames and climbing shelves in order to find what I was looking for. All in all, if you're looking for a huge selection, great service, and a clean store you need visit this location. read more

We bought ours there last year , paid 200 for it and it only lasted us the one year (literally a few weeks).. this year the pole that lights it stopped workIng and when I called up they said I'd have to call the manufacturer. Good Lord, this place is the end-all, be-all when it comes to cheap home decor. Garden Ridge is so huge and sprawling it's almost too much to handle. (This chain has multiple locations, so I can only speak for the Plano store.) When Target was out of cute Christmas trees, a woman suggested I head to this place, which she called "a combo between Home Depot and TJ Maxx." Sounded perfect, so off I went. They definitely have a lot of trees, nutcrackers, lights, ornaments, and pretty much any other Christmas item you could possibly imagine. On the downside, it was PACKED with people when I was there, and I have no doubt it will remain so every day until Christmas. Even with the huge selection, I couldn't find a cute tree that fit my specifications (and budget). I was overwhelmed by the mobs of people and inability to maneuver through the narrow aisles. It gave me a splitting headache. After about 20 minutes of annoyed wandering, I headed to the back of the giant warehouse where the non-Christmasey fake trees and plants were kept. Much easier to walk around back there. Lucky for me, I found an awesome fake palm tree that was a perfect addition to my apartment. I added white lights, and it's Christmas, Hawaiian style. So, my outing was successful. I would definitely go back here for a reasonably priced, massive selection of home items. But I won't be returning before Christmas. The mob can have it. read more

Bought a small flower pot labeled at 7.99 but it rang up at 12.99. The woman gave me the stickers price but said "they must have missed this one in the MARK UPS.I asked what the mark ups were for, she indicated it was to pay for the cost is shipping in 2021. Really???? $5 extra dollars to ship this small pot? I think business are taking advantage of the shipping and inflation issues but making bigger margins in the name of inflation. I used to love this place (specifically the Plano, TX location). But a year ago it took a dive. I don't know if new management took over or what, but something changed -- and not for the better. Their selection of items is pitiful. And the little that IS available, is overpriced. They also got rid of some of my favorite sections -- like the art supplies. And they have created new sections - like rugs and scrubs - that really don't appeal to me. I suppose, if you are in the market for a new area rug, this would be a place to look. They have a large selection of rugs at a variety of low costs (assuming you are willing to paw through stacks of rugs). And they also have a large selection of scrubs (something they recently started carrying). They still carry seasonal decor -- Halloween and Christmas being the 2 biggest. And they still carry fake flowers -- but not nearly the large selection as before. Not my favorite place anymore. It used to be good, but it's sliding downhill fast. I came in here looking for a little garden flag pole for my front yard. This place is huge and once you get past the registers at the front good luck finding someone to help you. I spent nearly 30 minutes wandering the store and as I was looking around I checked out some of the home decor merchandise. This stuff is not cheap! The mirrors, frames and candle items seemed like full price, not any type of deep discount if you ask me. I large metal-like tufted mirror that I thought was cool was actually made of plastic but was still $200. A chair with the metal buttons around the edge (forget what that is called now), was actually put on with glue and falling off, not stamped in! So you'll probably find the home/garden/entertaining/patio item you are looking for here but don't expect and help and you might want to shop around for cheaper prices. I'm glad you reviewed this place, Hannah because I had forgotten about it! I also attempted to shop at Garden Ridge this weekend and it was a total madhouse. They had what I believe is the biggest selection of inflatable Holiday decorations I've ever seen. If I had a yard I might have purchased one. They also had the star icicle lights I was looking for asl well as some pre-lit garland at a decent price. I found the majority of their ornaments to be kind of cheesy, but there might have been some nice ones if you took the time to look through them all (there was A LOT) I barely made if out of the Christmas section before deciding I should escape while I could. I picked up a tree topper here too, but I'm going to return it because it's cheesy and too heavy for my tree - although I'm slighty afraid to return during the Holiday season. Maybe it won't be AS bad as it was the weekend of Thanksgiving? Overall - Huge Selection, Massive Crowds (like worse than Sam Moon on a Saturday!), decent prices. I'll defintely go back. read more
