I hope things have improved since then) The terrible management at CS had completely destroyed my trust in any facility but I had no choice but to start looking around on my own. I visited a place in Union City which was way out of my budget but the staff in marketing actually seemed like decent, caring people. They recommended I call Sandra Wallace, and I did. Sandra came to meet my mother and I at Casa Sandoval. I was immediately impressed by her experience, professionalism, knowledge of the state laws regulating care facilities and especially her knowledge of the various facilities and costs in the area. After looking at several places she recommended I check out, I moved my mother to Rosegate in San Leandro. She lived there for almost five years until she died at age 93, very well taken care of. I was very happy. I had some problems in the first six months at RG but Sandra helped me get them resolved. Her knowledge and understanding of memory and cognitive impairment is amazing. In addition to managing facilities she also has hands on experience taking care of her own mother and understands the every day challenges of caregiving. In 2019 we started looking for a place for my aunt, who also has Dementia. I called Sandra and she helped us find a place we liked in Castro Valley. But then the Pandemic arrived and changed everything. My aunt came to live with us instead, which was a very challenging time. In September when I was at my wit's end I called Sandra again and asked for help. She recommended Quail Garden in Livermore, which is lovely AND they were allowing outside family visits which was critically important to us. My aunt has lived there since October and it's been great. I cannot recommend Sandra more highly. She is a powerhouse of knowledge and support. She is a person of integrity and stands by her clients. She checks in from time to time to see how things are going and goes the extra mile to solve any problems that may be going on.

She provided a lot of insight on what we can do going forward, the options we had if we wanted to relocate my mom after she's exhausted the medicare piece, which plans were good in the future for my other elder family members, and information on home care and how insurance can "refresh" after that (with a lot of conditions, etc). Summary- Placement/Senior Advisors get paid from the Community they suggest to you BIG $$$$$ . AND never offer to disclose to you the violations/ Citations they have on state record. Placement advisors are aware who will pay them the most kick back $$$$. All assisted livings communities have facility numbers ;- Do your own research before moving in. She was hospitalized for 9 days for a total of 17 days in bed. We were unsure if she'd be able to walk again and had been turned down by 3 other care homes. Exasperated, tired, frustrated and losing hope, I made a call to Apria where a very caring woman named Felicia could feel everything I was going through by my voice. She said she knew someone who may be able to help and she passed my number to Mary. Mary left THE most caring, concerned and sincere voice message I think I've ever received. When we finally talked, she put me and my husband at ease SO quick. She really understood what we were going through and pulled us out of the quagmire we were in. She suggested a wonderful place that my mom is doing VERY well at. Mary is THE REAL DEAL and she helps til the end including keeping in contact well after the loved one is placed. She went above and beyond and we are SO happy we were led to her! She deserves the highest commendations. The world needs more people like her.

All Seasons Homecare was highly recommended to me by my attorney so I gave them a call. I talked with the owner, Lou Ann. She explained how everything worked and answered all of my questions. I knew after talking to her that my mother-in-law would be in good hands. This place is top notch and so professional. I used All Seasons for 11 days. In that time, all the caregivers showed up on time and gave excellent care to my mother-in-law. At the end of each shift, the caregiver would write up a summary of their visit online, letting me know how my mother-in-law was doing and how the visit went. These notes were very insightful. I appreciate how if there are any problems or questions you can contact Honor, the company All Seasons partners with, 24 hours a day. Very reassuring. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend All Seasons/Honor. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely!!!! When you need homecare done right, this is the place to contact! We were given very short notice that mom was going to be released but Lou Ann and Christina met with us and mom to get better acquainted with her and her needs. Shortly after mom got home she had a virtual meeting with a therapist and with no way to conduct this meeting, Christina drove to the home to personally assist with the process. Above and beyond! An urgent staffing issue arose late on a Sunday evening while I was sitting in an airport so I called the 24 hour service number and within minutes I received a call back that the issue was resolved, another example of All Season's commitment to provide the best possible care to their clients and their families. All of the Health Care Professionals assigned to help mom have been very helpful, patient and kind (and mom can be a handful at times:) ) I also very much appreciate the fact that I receive daily reports once the homecare visit is complete that summarizes the visit. Living out of state this is beyond helpful. After reading the reports and finding out about doctor visits or therapist visits that occurred I am able to contact mom and discuss the visit, etc. Without hesitation I would recommend this organization for anyone who is in need of homecare services.
