Best Thai around. The restaurant was elegant, inviting and scrumptious. We started off with perfectly executed Thai teas. Rich Thai tea with luxurious cream on top. We ordered the plush, flaky looking, curry puffs next. They were accompanied with a wonderful clear dipping sauce which was dotted with cucumber, onion and peppers. The curry puffs were perfectly fried, flaky, and had a tender interior of potato and vegetable with a hint of yellow curry powder. My husband ordered the Salmon Choochee entree with sticky rice. It was enrobed in a delicious sauce although he said the thinner side of the salmon was a bit over cooked. I loved the bites I tried. I ordered the resplendent Panang Curry with chicken and sticky rice. My sauce was phenomenally well balanced. It had actual kaffir lime leaves flavoring it!! Very rare to find in the area. The flavor was outstanding, not bland and thin or too thickly coconut-y. It had intensely rich red curry flavor and was perfectly spicy at a level 2. (If you're a mild food person, I recommend level 1.) Lastly, a word about the rice. I wasn't sure if they would serve actual sticky aka glutinous rice. But they do!! I haven't found many restaurants around here that don't just put regular jasmine rice in a steamer to "sticky" it up, so I was overjoyed. Very authentic!! Note: Real sticky rice is very unique in that it stays together when it's served, you must break it up a bit and when you do, it never gets bloated like other rice, but allows all the curry flavor to enter its crevasses and is bursting with flavor. This Thai food rivals the Thai food I've eaten in Chinatowns in San Francisco and Boston. It's so flavorful, so authentic and was a delight to be served. Service it's self was welcoming, happy, pleasant and not intrusive. We were checked on at the perfect times. BEST THAI IN COLORADO! We never dined in here. We always do takeout but their service is quick and easy. We ordered green curry, drunken noodles, tom yum soup and mango sticky rice. The chicken satay is delicious! Great flavor and preparation. However, the crispy veggie spring rolls were awful. Mushy on the inside and utterly unpleasant. Super amazing! I was a vegetarian this day while ordering Thai to go and it was exceptional. Many options for Either no protein or tofu. Many protein options and the prices are very good. The teas were all made to order when you get there to get your food, look at that beautiful gradient. I felt safe while getting my order, everyone was masked and 6ft apart. Great food! Great service! We had ordered two dishes; Pad Thai and the Green Curry with Chicken. Our favorite was the Green Curry. It had a lot more flavor, the dish itself was vibrant, and the portion was the perfect amount. The Pad Thai was good too, and had good flavor, but nothing made it stand out from others that we have had at other restaurants. We had added some additional spice to it and that helped. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem near my place. I found this place a year ago and I've been going back ever since. Luckily they offer take out during the pandemic. The crispy chicken is one of my favorite dishes, I get it Thai spiced or very hot. I've taken my family there before the pandemic. We shared several dishes and everything was delicious. If you want a traditional Thai restaurant this is the place for you. Everything is cooked fresh to order, worth the wait. Owner and staff are very welcoming and offer great advice on what to choose. Tom Yum Soup is also delicious. They offer vegan options as well. The menu has many options to choose from. They offer many different styles of curries. At Nine used to be awesome. Five stars. We went a couple of times a week for their pad Thai, Tom Ga soup, and dumplings. Since we always ordered the same things, the very nice servers remembered our orders, including my jasmine tea, and it was always a pleasure to visit. But....after the shutdown began, and we could only get takeout, the pad Thai simply wasn't as good. I don't know if they changed cooks, or what. We ordered takeout two or three times, before finally deciding that there is better pad Thai elsewhere. Very sad, because At Nine is close, and it used to be so GOOD! I don't know if they're back to dine-in, or if they've regained their previous quality. We're somewhat hesitant to return. read more

Updating my review to 5 stars! I think we had a bad experience since they were brand new last time. I think they worked out their kinks cause it was fire today! The pad thai(medium) was spot on. Super flavorful with a good kick. The portion was huge and could easily feed two. We also ordered the duck curry (Thai spicy) and the tom kha. The duck curry was very flavorful with lots of duck meat. I still think it could've been a bit spicier for Thai spice. The flavors were very well rounded. Oftentimes duck can be very games, but this wasn't the case at all. The Tom kha was very creamy and flavorful. I'm so glad I went back and gave this place another shot. A not-so-hidden gem. I was craving Panang and heard tell of this wonderful restaurant. I brought my partner in crime along and we were seated almost immediately and our waitress made sure we had water before coming back later to take our order. While she apologized for some items being out, her recommendations were top notch. My partner had Drunken Noodles at a spice level four (he loves spice) and I ordered my Panang Curry and also a plate of Spicy Basil Fried Rice for us to share. It was INCREDIBLE. We had been looking for seasoning, spice, and flavor since we arrived in town and were not disappointed. We will be returning again with a larger crowd because this place is good eats. read more

This is the most fantastic place for dinner or even a cute date. Atmosphere is awesome. My boyfriend and I actually went to Thailand for a month back in May and have been trying to find a good Thai restaurant since then and boy did we find it. In Chiang Mai we ate a glorious dish called Khao Soi. If I closed my eyes I would be transported back to Thailand- their Khao Soi is to die for!!! I love the staff here, they are so hard working and would never let my water go under half full. We also went with our friends and they loved everything they got too!! This little Resturant seems like "a bit of a hole in the wall" type of place from the outside but we were extremely impressed by the quality of food and service we received! Wow. The atmosphere was warm, the restaurant was very clean and the staff was helpful and kind. If you enjoy Thai food you will love this place! If you've never had Thai food and are looking for an authentic place where you can freely ask questions about the cuisine, this place is also for you! We asked for mild but it didn't taste like much and didn't have crushed peanuts on top. We won't order that again. "At Nine Thai" is one of my family's absolute favorite Thai restaurants in the Denver area! We have been eating here for years and absolutely LOVE it! Staff is incredibly nice and the food is clearly made with love. We moved away from the area several years ago and haven't been able to make it in as often, but they still treat us like family every time we come in. The Chicken Yellow Curry (I usually do 3 for heat) and the Pad Thai are our favs! Any time we find ourselves in the area we go here. Highly recommend. read more

We've been twice, and both times the food has been delicious! I definitely recommend the khao soi soup, which you can get with your choice of protein (I get the veggie option and it's fantastic). It's so perfectly spiced and yummy. The pad thai with tofu is delectable - not everyplace prepares tofu as well as this place does. There were a lot of people picking up to-go orders, and the room has been packed with diners. It can feel a bit hectic at first, but once you're seated, it is fun to be in such a lively ambiance. We arrived on a Thursday night around 7:30 and the entire restaurant was empty. We were greeted and seated quickly by a very friendly employee. The menu isn't huge but does offer something for everyone. I had spent some time looking on Yelp at the photos before deciding on crispy rolls, fried rice with tofu and basil chicken fried rice. The crispy rolls weren't my favorite, but they came out quickly and were piping hot. My boyfriend ate 3/4 so clearly this was just a personal taste issue because he loved them. Our entrees came out within 15 minutes of ordered and looked awesome. They have a spice level of 0-5 I went with a 0 and my boyfriend went with a 3. While his food was spicy it tasted mostly like red pepper flake oil and no other seasoning. My 0 spice tofu fried rice left me feeling underwhelmed and wanting more flavor. Our meal came to $35 and we both took home leftovers. The restaurant is super cute and has a nice vibe to it. Staff were friendly and even the cook came out to check on the food. Overall this is a decent choice but wouldn't be my first choice. read more

At Nine Thai is seriously one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to in the US (and I've been to Thailand) and I'd recommend it to anyone. Seriously, except for the one time where we received quite horrendous service (it was right after the bomb cyclone so my guess is that the waitress we had was not one of their usual staff), this place never disappoints. Always good service (nothing exceptional but not bad) and great food. In addition to dining in several times we have also gotten take out a handful of times and again, everything has been perfect: the flavors, the portion sizes, the price. They also have lunch specials that are quite reasonably priced and decent portions. I will start off with the soups: the creamy Tom Yum is seriously the best soup ever if you like your soup heavy on the fresh lime taste. Tom Kha is also great, though has less lemongrass and lime than I am used to. The portion sizes on the soups are quite generous. Both are highly recommended. I almost always get the green curry here with chicken as my entrée, it is absolutely delicious and has the perfect amount of every ingredient including eggplants (my favorite - some restaurants just don't put enough eggplant in their dishes). With that said, the sauce they have for the duck curry is seriously out of this world and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes duck. It says on the menu that they use the same base for duck as they use for red curry, but the taste of the duck curry is so much better than red (which is also great, don't get me wrong). The mango sticky rice is also a huge portion and tastes exactly like you expect it to (a good thing). We've also had some appetizers here actually, but I'll save that review for another time after I try them at least a few times. Overall, best Thai food in Denver that we were able to find so far, highly recommended and we will definitely keep coming back! read more

I'm updating my review based on the extremely skimpy portions they serve nowadays for the expensive prices you pay. I can get past the unfriendly service but the super skimpy portions, that I cannot do. For around $15 per plate they do not provide enough with the portions. Even though they flood some dishes with rice, the meat and potatoes servings in the dishes are non existent when ordered, especially in the crab fried rice, or shall I say "rice fried rice".
