Last night in the mini "snowpocalype," my car skid on an icy patch, turned 270 degrees, and the back driver's side tire slammed into a curb. It was no longer parallel with the road. After going a hundred feet, I realized driving home was not a safe option. I called my insurance agent and they gave me 4 numbers of tow companies to call. At Your Service was one of them. I called all 4, was told by each of them that there was an hour wait, so I called back the one who had sounded the friendliest. I'm not sure anymore that that was the right choice. I was charged $200 to go 15 miles -- twice as much as it should be! -- the premium supposedly due to the bad weather and "plenty of other people who need our help." He claimed it would take 2 hours to get me where I wanted to go. In reality it ended up taking 45 minutes. But by the time I called to get other estimates ($135) there would have been an additional hour wait, so I stuck with At Your Service because I was freezing and it was getting dark. The driver Mike was VERY nice -- if you call, ask to speak with him. He took good care of me and my car, and he's the reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. I do not believe I would have been charged $200 if he had answered my call. So I was pleased with the service itself, just not the "friendly" guy who ripped me off on a bad day and was rude to me to boot. I'm sure he was having a busy day and was very stressed and tired, but he wasn't the only one, and I would have appreciated some compassion (and fair pricing) after what had happened. read more

I paid for parking at this lot and entered my license plate into the system as required. I realized shortly after that I had not yet placed the receipt on my dashboard and immediately returned to my car to correct it. When I arrived, the tow truck driver was near my vehicle but not yet in a position to tow. I showed him my paid receipt and told him I was returning to place it on the dashboard. I briefly stepped away (about one minute) to retrieve my daughter and my phone, which I needed to access the vehicle. When I returned, the driver had repositioned his truck, hooked my car, and demanded $70 in cash for a "drop fee," despite having been informed that I had already paid and was actively correcting the display requirement. The receipt provided does not appear to comply with Ohio Revised Code 4513.601 (C), which requires that when a vehicle is released before removal, the company must show both the full tow rate and the reduced fee charged. The receipt I received lists only an "hourly tow charge" and does not clearly identify a drop fee or the full towing amount. Additionally, the signage at this lot does not appear to meet the requirements of Ohio Revised Code 4513.601 (A)(1), which states that tow-away signage must be visible from all entrances to the property. The sign is positioned behind the payment kiosk and is not readable from the entrance, meaning drivers cannot review the towing terms before parking. Based on my experience, the tow was initiated despite clear notice that payment had been made, and the documentation and signage raise serious compliance concerns under Ohio law. I would strongly encourage others to carefully document their parking and be aware of how quickly towing can be initiated--even when you have paid. read more

At Your Service Towing is a Complete Scam! Parked in a lot with a visitor tag for a few hours while visiting family. At 10:45 we walked back to their apartment to return visitor tag and get our goodbyes in and it was towed at 11:05. We came out to find car missing from lot at 11:15. We didn't know he was sitting in the lot watching for this type of situation (see picture of him backed in to spot). No one answered number listed on sign. Called 911 to report it stolen and they said it had been towed and was able to reach the "answering service" that was likely Brian, the tow truck driver's S/O, based on her being defensive when I said he had to have watched us walk away with tag in hand to do it so quickly. She asks when we can meet at their Sycamore address and agreed Brian would meet us there. No one was there and no one would answer the number. 911 operator said it was a civil issue and they couldn't help. Driver finally pulls in about 11:40 with another car he had already towed after dropping ours off at 11:20, according to the paperwork that was provided. Driver was rude. I was irate. He said cost was $260 in cash and then gave $13 as change due to fees. I said there were other cars in the lot without tags , asking why he chose ours when we had a tag in the window for several hours and within 20min of walking away he took it. He said he can't get back to lot we were in due to police not allowing traffic in and out and when we said we just came from there and there were no police, he beat us there, backed in to a spot and walked around parking lot with a flashlight checking for tags in windows. Definitely a scam that he tows the newer vehicles over the older ones, assuming he will get his cash fast back right back into spot to do it again. Our daughter's friend had parked in a Cincinnati Downtown parking lot near the Salvation Army to go to a restaurant. Prior to this, she had made sure not to park in an area belonging to the Salvation Army. She also paid to park, and had the ticket showing what time she should return to avoid lateness. Unfortunately, At Your Service Towing decided not to honor the time terms of her parking ticket and towed her vehicle about a half hour early. She had arrived where her car should have been, and found out later it had been towed. The next morning, our daughter's friend was able to get a ride to At Your Service Towing, and tried to explain how her vehicle was wrongfully towed. She showed them the ticket, which displayed what time she had paid for. The towing occurred before the time was up, about a half hour early. The rude woman behind the counter refused to listen to her and stated that will be $125.00. Our daughter's friend asked, "Why am I being charged to get my own vehicle? You towed it illegally!" She asked the woman if she could speak to the manager, but she said, "I'm the only one working here." My daughter's other friend tried talking to the woman, and even had his relative - (a police officer) talk to her. The woman utterly refused and stated the same: "$150.00 in order to get your car back." So this is what this "towing service" is. This "business" is nothing more than an ill-running, immoral and disgusting ransom-making organization. How can you remove vehicles illegally, hold drivers' vehicles hostage, and all for $150.00? This is sad that this happened to our daughter's friend, but even worse that this is one of SEVERAL incidents in which At Your Service Towing has violated Ohio Laws. My only advice is this: If you see this sign in a parking lot, find a different lot to park in. Awful company. Towed my car even though I had paid for parking because my ticket had fell off the dashboard. When I found it and showed them that I was allowed to park there during this time period, they said the 'damage was already done' because it wasn't displayed on the dash. Funny enough when I first called and said I think my car got wrongfully towed out of a parking lot I paid for, they said it wasn't in their system and to call the police , then then told me AYS DID in fact tow it. When I called again they said 'woops I guess we forgot to put you in our system' so first off.. you put me into a panic, and then you go ahead and still put me in your system so you can charge me even AFTER I said I was wrongly towed? You couldn't have waited for me to come down and explain myself?????????? And then made me pay in cash to get my car back, so I have no record it got towed in the first place. So fucking sketchy. Tried to extort her for $70 to give her car back that was LEGALLY ALLOWED TO PARK there!!! She declined so he took it to the business location. Once he got her car parked at the tow lot, he became irate & aggressive and didn't want to give her car to her until the next day even though he said come pick it up! We had to call the Police, which didn't do much of anything. However she agreed to pay $180 to get her car back to her possession. After we got home, we looked into this place and no wonder they don't have a website, I'm sure with the type of business they conduct they dont want it to be easy for the people they scam to make a review.. so here we are on Yelp, letting the people know what they're dealing with. My pregnant sister (very pregnant and showing) presented my receipt and asked the man why we would type in my license plate if they weren't going to check. I've been towed by this company twice. The first was for my parking meter expiring ONE minute before I got to it. When my friend and I went to pick up my car, the worker was incredibly rude and hateful, he came to the other side of the window and threatened to "get physical if we didn't pay and leave." We then called the police and he lied to their faces, they took his side and I paid in full for the tow. Last night, I was towed outside of my own apartment, where I have a parking permit. They would not have a conversation with me over the phone, they cut me off multiple times by repeating "$157 cash only" and then hung up on me. When I went to get my car, they had signs posted everywhere that you must wear a mask. The worker was not wearing a mask and refused to put one on. He then asked if he could sign the document FOR ME because he had no other way of signing unless I used his personal phone. The fact that they accept cash only is incredibly shady and has to mean they don't file correctly. This company is horrible, rude, and negligent. As soon as we found it, we immediately called and said we were one our way walking there. Even though we called the office and told them we were actively walking there, when we arrived the office was completely empty leaving 4 women in their sketchy alley. Let me start off by saying that if I could give this company a negative 5 star rating, I would do it without hesitation. They tow cars that have paid for the right to be in the parking lot several hours before the end time on the receipt, the address on their sign only leads to the office and doesn't give you the address to pick up your car which is impossible to find. They claim to be open 24 hours but nobody answers the phone, despite having tried to call them for 2 hours to no avail. There are 2 signs on the outside building of their office. One states that it's $90 to pick up the car and $12 for storage, but not even 15-20 feet away from that sign is the SAME EXACT SIGN, only THIS one states that it's $127 to pick up the car and $17 for storage. Then we FINALLY find the right place after wandering around Cincinnati for 2 hours, only to be told it's $180 because "The pricing for the underground lot is different than the above ground lot." I have NEVER heard of a place that charges double for underground parking. This company is a joke. Absolutely ridiculous. My car was towed from my own parking lot, that I pay for directly behind my very own house, because the parking pass sticker on my window was removed days before. To make everything worse the building this nasty company runs out of is literally the most disgusting place you will ever see. It is literally underground and absolutely terrifying to go into. Not only that, it smells and feels like someone is constantly hotboxing the place with cigarettes. I have very bad asthma and after less than 10 minutes in there, I had to go back outside to get my inhaler and breathe because the air was so disgusting and thick. They had no way for us to file a complaint, or a claim against the wrongful towing, obviously because they do not care. I will start off by saying this company is doing what they are contracted to do. My sons car was towed (Legally) when I tried to call and pay for his car to be released I was informed it's cash only. I explained to the dispatcher (really nice lady) that I was deployed overseas so I physically couldn't do that. She then asked if I had family in the area, I explained that we are a military family and my son is only there for football. My son was able to convince the Uber driver to stop by an atm before taking him to the tow yard. My whole family inuding myself were sick with Covid and the weather was bad so I didn't renew them at the time. My landlord had it towed saying she didn't know it was mine. My car is a all wheel drive. They towed it back to me because I didn't want to drove till my brakes were fixed and now my transmission is shot. This is how at your towing did my car after paying them $382.00. For starters I called at 9am they told me to call back in an hour to calculate my total. Then proceed to tell me it will take 2 hours to get it out the spot. But took over 3 hours to call and say my car was ready for pick up. I asked for my jack stand that it was sitting on they said it's on the car, clearly in the photo my car is on the ground and not a jack stand! Somebody is going to pay for this and I will attempt to have this tow company shut down. Very unprofessional and only accepts cash. On the receipt they don't even write down what all you're paying for. So from 7/16/2019 until today 7/25/2019 is almost $400.00 that I work hard for. We paid for 30 mins to get our Thai express carry out and came out to no car in about 35 min max which means they were sitting there waiting to tow us.
