It started when we tried to make an appointment over the phone, only to be told that appointments must be made in person -- which is completely unreasonable, especially since we now live over 45 minutes away. Still, we decided to remain loyal to this location since they already had our records on file. After driving all that way, we arrived to find that the office had closed early without any prior notice -- so we couldn't even make the appointment we drove nearly an hour to set. We then tried calling repeatedly, but no one would answer the phone. It took over a week just to reach someone to make the appointment -- and at that point, we were finally allowed to schedule over the phone, which contradicted what we were initially told. We booked a Tuesday appointment for 2 PM. The day of the appointment, they called to cancel because the office was closing early again. I had to wait until Monday to reschedule -- now going on three weeks with a broken tooth and constant pain, something that should have been treated as an emergency. Then today, I show up for my rescheduled appointment at 1 PM, only to be told that they called earlier in the morning to move my appointment up to 11 AM because the dentist "had to leave early." I never got the message in time -- I was in the shower getting ready for the original time they gave me. I only learned of this change after driving an hour to the office. What's worse is that when I originally booked, I explained that I live far away and need advanced notice of any changes -- yet they still waited until the day of to inform me. This entire experience has been unprofessional, disorganized, and completely inconsiderate of patients' time and urgent needs. I will not be returning.

I am in excruciating pain and have waited a week to get in to their office. I live 45 minutes to be seen then was told I have to reschedule and pay a rescheduling fee. I requested all bills submitted to the insurance and payout statements from the Insurance. My concern is that 1 or 2 years from now I'll receive another "bill" for some other past billings. Today on March 24, 2022 (3 mos after my request) I received a 1-page office statement of charges and credits which I cannot verify nor confirm and the same request to pay the $50. Nickki who does the billing completely ignored my request for proof. I give them a 0 on service.

I kindly advised the young lady that my daughter had NEVER been sedated and has NEVER been uncooperative. She was given laughing gas to ensure her comfort for extractions due to teeth crowding and that's it. I told her I just wanted to make an appointment for a cleaning nothing else. She countered that I would have to pay for the X-rays...this is when I decided I no longer wanted to have a dialogue with her and asked to speak with someone else....she then hung up the phone on me. About a month later the submitted a claim to my insurance company.My insurance company paid them $1400. I only get $1500 a year of coverage. I called the office manager and she said it was a mixup and that they would return the money to my insurance company. This started in January of 2026. I called Aetna, they called modern dentistry, they admitted to owing the money but was waiting on billing. The insurance company couldn't do anything else because they are out of network. It's now May and They refuse to return my money so I'm out $1400.

I called the on-call doctor at 9:15 last night and my car was never returned. I then called at 8:15 this morning and again at 9 o'clock and it wasn't until 930 when Dr. Luis Alicia returned my call. He never apologized for not calling back. He said just take ibuprofen and Tylenol. I told him I've been doing that but it was not providing any relief. I asked if he would come in and treat it because it needs to be packed with some special material. He said no. I told him I was very disappointed. He wasn't the oral surgeon who did my extraction but the one who was on call. Additionally Dr. Morales who was my oral surgeon knocked off the crown on the adjacent tooth. My brother-in-law who is a dentist and my local Dentist both said that is very difficult to do because the crown is cemented in. It's supposedly a rare occurrence of less than 5%. All in all this has been an awful experience.
